New localities of rare adventive species Alcea rosea L., Berberis vulgaris L., Parthenocissus quinquefolia (L.) Planch., Scutellaria altissima L., Sedum acre L., Thladiantha dubia Bunge were noted. The article contains new information about the locations of rare and spreading species of flowering plants in Western Siberia and Southern Ural (Kurgan Region, Chelyabinsk Region, Tomsk Region, and Republic of Altai). Among them, four species (Bidens frondosa L., Lappula intermedia (Ledeb.) Popov, Melica altissima L., Verbascum lychnitis L.) are reported as new for the Tomsk Region, three species (Aquilegia vulgaris L., Dianthus barbatus L., Lepidium sativumL.) are new for Republic of Altai, two species (Hibiscus trionum L., Solanum physalifolium Rusby) are new for the Chelyabinsk Region. For seven more species (Achillea ptarmica L., Chaenorhinum minus (L.) Lange, Chenopodium acerifolium Andrz., Cyclachaena xanthiifolia (Nutt.) Fresen., Impatiens parviflora DC., Najas major All., Oberna cserei(Baumg.) This paper presents the chromosome numbers (2n) for 13 alien species (from the families Apocynaceae, Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, Polygonaceae, Solanaceae) in the Novosibirsk Region. For Vincetoxicum hirundinaria Medik. (2n = 22) and Sisymbrium altissimum L. (2n = 14), chromosome numbers were determined for the first time on the material from Russia; for Betonica officinalis L. (2n = 16) – from Asian Russia; for Stachys annua (L.) L. (2n = 34) – from West Siberia. Chromosome numbers on the material from the Novosibirsk Region were revealed for the first time for Cosmos bipinnatus Cav. (2n = 24), Inula helenium L. (2n = 20), Sonchus oleraceus L. (2n = 18), Medicago sativa subsp. varia(Martyn) Arcang. (2n = 32), Rumex obtusifolius L. (2n = 20) and Solanum nigrum L. (2n = 48). Among species studied, chromosome numbers for Anethum graveolens (2n = 22), Myosoton aquaticum (2n = 28), Epilobium hirsutum (2n = 36), and Fagopyrum esculentum (2n = 16) were first examined for Russia; for Silene dichotoma (2n = 24), Ipomoea purpurea (2n = 30), and Sorbaria sorbifolia (2n = 36) – first for Siberia; for Erodium cicutarium (2n = 40) – for West Siberia; Campanula rapunculoides (2n = 68, 102), Nepeta cataria (2n = 34), Malva pusilla (2n = 42), Dianthus deltoides (2n = 30), and Echinochloa crus-galli (2n = 54) were first studied for the Republic of Altai. General distribution and the history of floristic findings of these species in the Republic of Altai are given. Disturbance of natural ecosystems resulting from the economic development of any region leads to changes in the structure of the vegetation cover. At the beginning of the 21st century, about 70 adventive species were known on the territory of Tyva. To date, the presence of 117 species has been noted in the adventive flora of the region. Most of them are xenophytes, ergasiophytes (departed from culture) – 31 species. According to the degree of naturalization, ephemerophytes predominate – 73 species. The adventive flora of Tuva contains 41 species included in the “List of invasive and potentially invasive species of Siberia” (2014). In comparison with other Siberian regions, there are fewer invasive and potentially invasive species in Tyva, which is associated both with the natural and climatic conditions of the region and with the later economic development of the territory. The most vulnerable to the introduction of alien species were the northern and central regions of the republic, which are characterized by the highest degree of recreational pressure. On the contrary, the outlying territories of the republic, relatively remote from the Central Tuva Basin, are sufficiently protected from the invasion of adventive plants, where, when alien, mainly mesophytic, species are introduced into the flora, the harsh sharply continental climate acts as a limiting factor. The successful introduction of alien species on fallow lands is due to the weakening, up to complete destruction, of natural habitats and plant communities., Нарушение естественных экосистем, происходящее в результате хозяйственного освоения любого региона, приводит к изменениям в структуре растительного покрова. В сравнении с другими сибирскими регионами, в Тыве меньше инвазивных и потенциально инвазивных видов, что связано как с природно-климатическими условиями региона, так и с более поздним хозяйственным освоением территории. Наиболее уязвимыми для внедрения чужеродных видов оказались северные и центральные районы республики, характеризующиеся наибольшей степенью рекреационной нагрузки. Напротив, достаточно защищены от вторжения адвентиков сравнительно удаленные от Центрально-Тувинской котловины окраинные территории республики, где при внедрении во флору чужеродных, преимущественно мезофитных, видов лимитирующим фактором выступает суровый резко-континентальный климат. Успешное внедрение на залежных землях чужеродных видов обусловлено ослаблением, вплоть до полного уничтожения, естественных местообитаний и растительных сообществ.

In the course of field research, analysis of previously published works and review of materials stored in well-known collection funds of Siberia (NS, KRAS, SSHZ), information on the distribution of rare adventitious and native plant species in the Upper Yenisei basin was clarified. For the first time, Arctium lappa, Armoracia sisymbrioides, Bupleurum sibiricum, Calystegia sepium, Lolium perenne, Pastinaca sativa, and Polygonum subaphyllum were noted for the flora of the Republic of Tuva. Stipa glareosa was collected for the first time on the territory of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Viola tricolor was turned out to be new for the flora of the Sayano-Shushensky Reserve. For 10 rare species, new locations were noted and range boundaries were specified: Acer tataricum, Armoracia rusticana, Avena fatua, Carduus nutans, Clematis aethusifolia, Convolvulus arvensis, Polygonum rurivagum, Sedum acre, Setaria pumila, and Viola tricolor.

Chromosome numbers (2n) of 15 invasive and potentially invasive plant species from the families Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Malvaceae, Onagraceae, Papaveraceae, Plantaginaceae, Poaceae, Polygonaceae, Portulacaceae, and Rosaceae are reported on the samples collected in the Republic of Altai. Abutilon theophrasti (2n = 42) and Lepidium densiflorum (2n = 32) were first studied from Western Siberia; Epilobium ciliatum subsp. adenocaulon (2n = 36), Portulaca oleracea (2n = 36), Spergularia rubra (2n = 36), and Xanthium strumarium (2n = 36) – from the Republic of Altai. Common distribution and the history of floristic findings of these species in the Republic of Altai are given. Chromosome numbers (2n) in 10 invasive and potentially invasive plant species from the families Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Fabaceae, Malvaceae, Oxalidaceae, Poaceae and Solanaceae are reported on the samples collected in the Republic of Altai. To determine the ploidy levels, we used methods of direct chromosome counting and flow cytometry in some cases. Among them, chromosome complements were first examined in Russia for Eruca vesicaria subsp. sativa (2n = 22). Psammophiliella muralis (2n = 34), Medicago sativa subsp. varia (2n ≈ 32; 2C = 4.8 pg) and Solanum nigrum (2n = 48) were first studied from Siberia. Malva verticillata (2n = 42), Oxalis dillenii (2n = 24), Lolium perenne (2n = 14) and Setaria faberi (2n = 36) were first studied from the Republic of Altai. Tetraploid cytotype and genome size of Picris hieracioides (2n = 4x = 20; 2C = 8.89 pg) were discovered for the first time. Common distribution and the history of floristic findings of these species in the Republic of Altai are given. Previously published data on chromosome numbers from Russia are cited.

This article presents a case of clinical observation of a 5-year-old child with herpetiformis dermatitis (Duhrings). This rare dermatosis is characterized by a chronic relapsing course, the presence of itching polymorphic rashes, typical histological and immunomorphological signs. The diagnosis was made on the basis of the clinical picture, histological and immunohistochemical studies of skin biopsy, as well as the results of HLA typing by PCR. Clinical observation of this case is of interest to practicing physicians-dermatologists due to the rare occurrence of Duhrings herpetiformis in children, the complexity of differential diagnostic search, which requires further generalization of experience using histological, immunohistochemical and molecular genetic research methods. The disease is clearly differentiated from other rashes with the formation of subepidermal blisters according to histological, immunological and gastrointestinal criteria. The prevalence of dermatosis in various populations of the Europian race ranges from 10 to 39 cases per 100,000 population. Duhrings dermatitis herpetiformis can develop at any age (cases of the childhood form of Dhrings dermatitis herpetiformis have been reported), but most often the disease occurs at the age of 4050 years. Dermatitis herpetiformis persists indefinitely with variable severity. In patients with Duhrings dermatitis, associated gluten-sensitive enteropathy is often noted, which in most cases is asymptomatic.

Chromosome numbers (2n) for 12 alien species (Apiaceae, Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Campanulaceae, Fabaceae, Lamiaceae, Malvaceae, Onagraceae, Poaceae, Polygonaceae) from the Novosibirsk Region are given. For the first time for Russia, the number of chromosomes of Xanthogalum purpurascens (2n = 22) is given, for Siberia – Nepeta cataria (2n = 34), Malva pusilla (2n = 42) and Koenigia weyrichii subsp. weyrichii (2n = 20). With this paper we continue a new annual series, the main purpose of which is to make significant floristic findings from Russia and neighboring countries more visible in Russia and abroad. In total, this paper presents new records for 38 vascular plant species from 7 Eurasian countries, obtained during field explorations, as well as during taxonomic revisions of herbarium materials. The species studied are from East Europe (Ukraine), Siberia (Irkutsk Region, Novosibirsk Region, Republic of Buryatia), Caucasus (Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia), Middle Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan) and the Russian Far East (Amur Region, Khabarovsk Territory, Primorye Territory). Most of the species are diploids, with different basic numbers (x). Species with variable ploidy also were revealed. The CN data are accompanied with the brief information on ecology and distribution of the species studied.

Pouteau, R., et al., [Aim] The number of naturalized (i.e. established) alien species has increased rapidly over recent centuries. Given the differences in environmental tolerances among species, little is known about what factors determine the extent to which the observed size of the naturalized range of a species and hence the extent to which the observed richness of naturalized species of a region approach their full potential. Here, we asked which region- and species-specific characteristics explain differences between observed and expected naturalizations. [Location] Global. [Time period] Present. [Major taxa studied] Vascular plants. [Methods] We determined the observed naturalized distribution outside Europe for 1,485 species endemic to Europe using the Global Naturalized Alien Flora (GloNAF) database and their expected distributions outside Europe using species distribution models. First, we investigated which of seven socio-economic factors related to introduction pathways, anthropogenic pressures and inventory effort best explained the differences between observed and expected naturalized European floras. Second, we examined whether distributional features, economic use and functional traits explain the extent to which species have filled their expected ranges outside Europe. Results: In terms of suitable area, more than 95% of expected naturalizations of European plants were not yet observed. Species were naturalized in only 4.2% of their suitable regions outside of Europe (range filling) and in 0.4% of their unsuitable regions (range expansion). Anthropogenic habitat disturbance primarily explained the difference between observed and expected naturalized European floras, as did the number of treaties relevant to invasive species. Species of ornamental and economic value and with large specific leaf area performed better at filling and expanding beyond their expected range. All available data on the distribution ofImpatiens glanduliferaRoyle in Siberia was analyzed. The species appeared in Siberia as an unpretentious ornamental plant around the middle of the 20th century. Cases of withdrawal from culture have been recorded since the 1970s and 1980s; mass naturalization began at the end of the 20th century. Currently, the species is common in many regions of Siberia, but the most active in the Altai Territory, the Altai Republic, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Tomsk and Irkutsk Regions. It is common in anthropogenic habitats; it can also often be found in suburban forests, ravines, along the banks of water bodies. It shows tolerance to habitat conditions, but is especially active in areas with a close occurrence of groundwater on humus-rich soils. The species richness ofI. glanduliferacommunities is from 10-15 to 40 species. In total, about 100 species of vascular plants were recorded inI. glanduliferacommunities in Siberia

This article is devoted to the study of trace metals in the bottom sediments of watercourses in the area of the developed Lomonosov diamond deposit, which is the largest industrial diamond deposit in Europe. Samples of river sediments were taken from the Zolotitsa River and all its tributaries in the area of the diamond deposit. In addition, samples of kimberlites and rocks were selected from the quarries. It was established that the average concentration of metals in all types of rocks extracted from the quarries was significantly higher than that in river sediments and naturally decreased in the following order: kimberlites (D3-C2), Vendian enclosing rocks (V2) and overlying Quaternary and Carboniferous deposits (Q and C2). The results suggest that the mining and beneficiation complex plays a significant role in increasing the metal content in the river sediments, which is reliably recorded by the change in the physicochemical parameters of river sediments due to the anthropogenic impacts. The heavy metal pollution in river sediments in the area of Lomonosov diamond deposits is due to three main factors: (1) the discharge of quarry water into the peatbog-filtration fields and then into the river, (2) erosion of the rock dumps and natural factors and (3) the process by which the products from the weathering of kimberlites are transferred to the riverbed, and this transfer process requires further clarification. The results of this research can provide management references for the pollution control of the diamond mining industrial zone and the prevention of basin environmental risks.

Seven taxa (Agave sisalana, Austrocylindropuntia subulata, Lagurus ovatus subsp. nanus, Opuntia stricta, Orobanche serbica, Oxalis articulata, Vitis × instabilis) are reported from Albania, one (Allium carinatum) from the Europaean part of Russia, six (Dipsacus fullonum, Gagea shmakoviana, Mentha × dalmatica, Thymus indigirkensis, Thymus sergievskajae, Viola × sukaczewii) from the Asian part of Russia, two (Agrostis sozanensis, Poa mustangensis) from China, two (Carex muskingumensis, Sedum rubens) from Poland, two (Crataegus macrocarpa, Dactylorhiza lapponica) from Romania, two (Oxygraphis delavayi, Ranunculus eryuanensis) from Nepal, two (Erigeron bonariensis, Ophioglossum vulgatum) from Tajikistan, one (Ranunculus olgae) from Kazakhstan, one (Najas guadelupensis) from Hungary, one (Orobanche bartlingii) from Armenia, one (Crataegus petrodavisii) from Azerbaijan and one (Amaranthus powellii) from Georgia. For each species, synonyms, general distribution, habitat preferences, taxonomy with remarks on recognition, and differentiation the species from the most similar taxa occurring in a given country, as well as a list of recorded localities (often far from the previously known areas) are presented.

The paper presents new records of 24 vascular plant species from 11 Eurasian countries. One taxon (Orobanche laxissima) is reported from Armenia ; one (Epipactis condensata) from Azerbaijan ; two (Phragmites americanus, Polygala multicaulis) from Belarus ; one (Stipa caucasica) from Egypt ; one (Puccinellia hauptiana) from Kyrgyzstan ; three (Aquilegia xinjiangensis, Geranium saxatile, Ranunculus songaricus) from Mongolia ; one (Stipa roborowskyi) from Pakistan ; three (Echinochloa muricata, Erigeron acris subsp. podolicus, Hypericum majus) from Poland ; six from Russia, whereof one (Zanthoxylum armatum) from the European part of Russia and five (Chaerophyllum aureum, Elsholtzia densa, Poa compressa, Ranunculus subrigidus, Viola sororia) from the Asian part of Russia ; two (Ludwigia repens, Sagittaria latifolia) from Slovakia ; and three (Rubus ambrosius, Rubus camptostachys, Rubus perrobustus) from Ukraine. Use was made of allele-specific PCR to develop a highly effective DNA diagnostic system for detection of the factor V Leiden mutation in exon 10 of human factor V gene. The allele-specific primers contain a 3'-OH end nucleotide, which matches a mutant or wild-type nucleotide of the template DNA (A-allele and G-allele, respectively) and also one mismatched nucleotide near the 3'-end. The universal primers have an internal mismatch with the mutant nucleotide of the template DNA and another mismatched nucleotide at 3'-OH end. The A-allele-specific primer enables the preferential amplification of both the homozygous and heterozygous mutant alleles. The extension of the G-allele-specific primer or the universal one is inhibited in the presence of the homozygous factor V Leiden. The developed assay system allowed us to detect five patients, who are heterozygous for factor V Leiden among the 48 patients with deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism.
