The minor and trace amounts of chloride content in nine samples of natural gas, water and condensate were quantitatively determined via ion chromatography(IC). The selected samples were collected from Egyptian Western Desert gas-condensate reservoir with the aim of studying the field analysis procedure and the performance of the gas plant. IC gives an accurate determination of chloride content in the gas production process in order to contribute in the knowledge of technologies used for chloride removal to produce high-quality natural gas and hydrocarbon liquids. The physical properties, compressibility factor (Z) and formation volume factor (FVF) and specific gravity of liberated natural gases from the studied western desert reservoir at different pressures and at ambient temperature were studied by gas chromatography GC. The gas compressibility factor and specific gravity are highly decrease with the increase of pressure from 0 to 2500 but above this pressure there is an increase with increase of gas specific gravity due to the increase of the heavier gases in the sample. It is required in connection with gas compression for the design of compressors and pressure vessels. F.V.F. of gas highly decreases with the increase of natural gas pressure till reaching a pressure of 2000 psi and showing slightly decrease up to 3500 psi this relation is very important for the observed volumes of gas production at the surface to that corresponding underground withdrawal.Read Complete Article at ijSciences: V3201404483

Four gas samples (two from outlet and two from inlet) were collected at two periods from Meleiha compressor in Egyptian Agiba Petroleum Company and analyzed for composition analysis by gas chromatography (GC) connected with thermal conductivity and flame ionization detectors. The sulphur content in gas samples was analyzed using GC connected with a selective amperometric sulphur detector, the hydrogen sulphide was analyzed on site using sulphur meter. It has been found that methane followed by ethane and propane represent the highest percentage of the all gas composition. Islam religions forbid the drinking of alcoholic beverages because of their effects include changes in the metabolism of the liver and brain. Eight different sorts of malt beverages were collected from the local markets of western province of Saudi Arabia. The studied samples were subjected to the determination of their alcohol content via capillary gas chromatography through three steps. Firstly, the studied samples were directly analyzed, secondary, the samples were analyzed after exposing to air and finally the samples were analyzed in presence of yeast. It has been found that there is no ethanol content when the samples analyzed directly, minor concentration of ethanol content was found after exposing malt beverages to air ranging.
