Background: The earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 6, 2023 is considered the biggest disaster of the century, having a major impact on 10 provinces of Turkey. This study might provide the necessary data for healthcare services planning for disabled earthquake survivors according to their needs after the Malatya earthquake., Materials and Method: This mixed-patterned study was conducted in Malatya between February 17 and 20, 2023, with 30 disabled earthquake survivors. It was a mixed-methods study which involved both qualitative study using a semi-structured interview and quantitative analysis using both the Disability Status Analysis Questionnaire and the Exercise of Self-Care Agency Scale (ESCA)., Results: The study determined four themes: "Accessibility to Assistive Devices," "Establishment of Special Facilities for Disabled Individuals after the Earthquake," "Suitability of Living Areas," and "Accessibility to Campgrounds and Tent Cities." The ESCA mean score of all disabled earthquake survivors was 87.47 ± 13.75 and those with multiple disabilities had lower ESCA scores ( P < .05)., Conclusion: It was found that disabled earthquake survivors had difficulties in meeting their basic needs after the earthquake. Objective: This study aims to identify the rates of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine acceptance, the reasons for receiving and not receiving the vaccine, and the associated factors among pregnant, lactating, and nonpregnant women of reproductive age., Methods: This cross-sectional and analytical study was conducted online in Turkey, at the end of the fourth wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, between February and May 2022. A total of 658 women (230; 35% pregnant) (187; 28.4% lactating) (241; 36.6% nonpregnant) women of reproductive age participated in the study., Results: Vaccine acceptance rates were found to be 91.7% in nonpregnant women of reproductive age, 77% in lactating women, and 59% in pregnant women ( P < 0.05). The highest rate of vaccine hesitancy was observed in pregnant women (31.3%), and vaccine rejection rate was the highest in lactating women (10.2%). Pregnancy (odds ratio [OR] = 3.98; confidence interval [CI] = 1.13-14.10), and the breastfeeding period (OR = 3.84; CI = 1.15-12.78), increased vaccine hesitancy approximately four times., Conclusions: Lack of knowledge about and confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine is still one of the barriers to vaccine acceptance today. Health-care providers (HCPs) should provide effective counseling to pregnant, lactating, and nonpregnant reproductive-aged women based on current information and guidelines.

Objective: This study aims to develop the The Sexual and Reproductive Health Knowledge Scale in Emergencies (SRHKE) to evaluate the sexual and reproductive health knowledge of nurses in exceptional circumstances and cases., Method: This methodological study was conducted with a total of 311 nurses from two hospitals in the Western Black Sea Region of Turkey between December 2021 and May 2022. The data were collected using a descriptive information form and SRHKE. The content validity, construct validity, and internal consistency of the scale were tested., Results: The scale had a four-factor structure, and these factors explained 65% of the total variance in the measured variable. It had high internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha coefficient values were 0.826 for the 1st factor, 0.814 for the 2nd factor, 0.788 for the 3rd factor, 0.723 for the 4th factor, and 0.896 for the total scale). The item-total score correlation values of the scale ranged from 0.479 to 0.659. Pearson's correlation coefficients calculated for the evaluation of construct validity ranged from 0.519 to 0.749 (p < 0.005)., Conclusion: SRHKE has high validity and reliability. Purpose: In the study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between sexual myths and intercultural sensitivity in university students., Method: The study designed as cross-sectional research was carried out with the participation of 1,061 university students. Data collection tools used were the Personal Information Form, Sexual Myths Scale, and Intercultural Sensitivity Scale., Findings: It was determined that the students believed in myths at a moderate level. The students who thought that being together with different cultures did not have a positive contribution were found to believe in sexual myths at a higher level (p < 0.001). It was also determined that intercultural sensitivity was a significant predictor of sexual myths in university students (p < 0.001)., Implications for Practice: While planning sexual education provided to relay sexual knowledge to societies accurately, cultural differences should be considered., (© 2022 Wiley Periodicals LLC.)
