Muonic atom spectroscopy -- the measurement of the x rays emitted during the formation process of a muonic atom -- has a long standing history in probing the shape and size of nuclei. In fact, almost all stable elements have been subject to muonic atom spectroscopy measurements and the absolute charge radii extracted from these measurements typically offer the highest accuracy available. However, so far only targets of at least a few hundred milligram could be used as it required to stop a muon beam directly in the target to form the muonic atom. We have developed a new method relying on repeated transfer reactions taking place inside a 100-bar hydrogen gas cell with an admixture of 0.25% deuterium that allows us to drastically reduce the amount of target material needed while still offering an adequate efficiency. Detailed simulations of the transfer reactions match the measured data, suggesting good understanding of the processes taking place inside the gas mixture. As a proof of principle we demonstrate the method with a measurement of the 2p-1s muonic x rays from a 5-{\mu}g gold target., Comment: 16 pages, 14 figures

Nuclear Experiment - Abstract
The hyperfine splitting of the 5g -> 4f transitions in muonic 185,187-Re has been measured using high resolution HPGe detectors and compared to state-of-the-art atomic theoretical predictions. The spectroscopic quadrupole moment has been extracted using modern fitting procedures and compared to the values available in literature obtained from muonic X rays of natural rhenium. The extracted values of the nuclear spectroscopic quadrupole moment are 2.07(5) barn and 1.94(5) barn, respectively for 185-Re and 187-Re. Horizontal and vertical saccades, near point of convergence (NPC), accommodation and vergence jumps were evaluated using the OMAT. Means and standard deviations were reported for all parameters in children and adults.Results: A total of 52 participants (ages 9– 34, mean age 17.5 ± 7.2 years) participated in this study. Statistically significant differences were found for horizontal and vertical saccades with lower mean results in children, aged 9– 18 (111.5 ± 20.9 and 112.5 ± 22.7, respectively) compared to adults, aged 19– 34 (131.6 ± 23.9 and 126.2 ± 24.2, respectively) (P = 0.002 and 0.04, respectively). The mean of the last 30 seconds of both horizontal and vertical saccades were statistically significantly lower in the children’s group (52.5 ± 10.6 and 52.1 ± 11.3, respectively) compared to the adults (63.2 ± 10.2 and 59.3 ± 13.4, respectively) (P = 0.001 and 0.04, respectively). The normative values for horizontal and vertical saccades were 119.6 ± 23.9 and 118.1 ± 24.1 saccades per minute, respectively. NPC break and recovery were 2.3 ± 2.3cm and 3.0 ± 3.3cm, respectively. The vergence jumps assessment was 79.3 ± 21.19 movements per minute.Conclusion: Normative values for the OMAT test were found in this study for children and adults. A custom-made 228Th source of several MBq activity was produced for the Borexino experiment for studying the external background of the detector. The aim was to reduce the unwanted neutron emission produced via (alpha,n) reactions in ceramics used typically for commercial 228Th sources. For this purpose a ThCl4 solution was converted chemically into ThO2 and embedded into a gold foil. The paper describes the production and the characterization of the custom-made source by means of gamma-activity, dose rate and neutron source strength measurements. From gamma-spectroscopic measurements it was deduced that the activity transfer from the initial solution to the final source was >91% (at 68% C.L.) and the final activity was (5.41+-0.30) MBq. The dose rate was measured by two dosimeters yielding 12.1 mSv/h and 14.3 mSv/h in 1 cm distance. The neutron source strength of the 5.41 MBq 228Th source was determined as (6.59+-0.85)/sec., Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures

An attempt to confirm production of superheavy elements in the reaction of 48Ca beams with actinide targets has been performed using the 238U(48Ca,3n)283112 reaction. Two 48Ca projectile energies were used, that spanned the energy range where the largest cross sections have been reported for this reaction. No spontaneous fission events were observed. No alpha decay chains consistent with either reported or theoretically predicted element 112 decay properties were observed. The cross section limits reached are significantly smaller than the recently reported cross sections.

We report the experimental confirmation of the production of element110. In the bombardment of a 208Pb target with a 309~;MeV 64Ni beam, we have observed two chains of time- and position-correlated events. Each chain consisted of the implantation of an evaporation residue followed by the emission of alpha-particles. We attribute these two chains to the decay of 271-110 produced with a cross section of 8.3 (+11/-5.3)pb.

- Abstract
In the wake of local initiatives and developmental funding programs, interprofessionality is now included in national curricula in the German-speaking countries. Based on the 3P model (presage, process, product), this position paper presents the development of interprofessional education in recent years in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and places it in an international context. Core aspects as legal frameworks, including amendments to occupational regulations as well as the formation of networks and faculty development are basic requirements for interprofessional education. New topics and educational settings take shape in the process of interprofessional education: patient perspectives and teaching formats, such as online courses, become more important or are newly established. The influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on interprofessional education is explored as well. Among many new interprofessional courses, particularly the implementation of interprofessional training wards in Germany and Switzerland are positive examples of successful interprofessional education. The objective of interprofessional education continues to be the acquisition of interprofessional competencies. The main focus is now centered on evaluating this educational format and testing for the corresponding competencies. In the future, more capacities will be required for interprofessional continuing education and post-graduate education. Structured research programs are essential to ascertain the effects of interprofessional education in the German-speaking countries.In this position paper the GMA committee on interprofessional education encourages further advancement of this topic and expresses the aim to continue cooperating with other networks to strengthen and intensify interprofessional education and collaboration in healthcare., Das Thema der Interprofessionalität in den deutschsprachigen Ländern hat nach lokalen Initiativen und Förderprogrammen in nationale Ausbildungspläne Einzug erhalten. Angelehnt an das 3P Modell ("Presage, Process, Product"; dt. in etwa: Rahmenbedingungen, Prozess, Produkt/Ergebnis) zeigt das nun neu vorliegende Positionspapier die Entwicklung interprofessioneller Ausbildung der letzten Jahre in Deutschland, in Österreich und in der Schweiz auf und setzt diese in einen internationalen Kontext. Neben rechtlichen Aspekten wie Veränderungen in den Berufsgesetzen zählen Netzwerkbildung und Fakultätsentwicklung zu den identifizierten Rahmenbedingungen. Im Prozess der interprofessionellen Ausbildung kristallisieren sich neue Themenfelder und Bildungssettings heraus, die Perspektive der Patient*innen und didaktische Formate wie Online-Angebote nehmen eine wichtigere Rolle ein bzw. wurden neu etabliert. In einem Exkurs werden darüber hinaus die Einflüsse der COVID-19-Pandemie auf interprofessionelle Ausbildung beleuchtet. Neben vielen neuen interprofessionellen Lernangeboten ist die Schaffung interprofessioneller Ausbildungsstationen in Deutschland und der Schweiz als Positivbeispiel für gelungene interprofessionelle Ausbildung hervorzuheben. Das Ziel interprofessioneller Ausbildung ist weiterhin der Erwerb interprofessioneller Kompetenzen. Im Fokus stehen dabei nun die Evaluation und Bewertung dieser Ausbildungsform sowie das (Über-)Prüfen entsprechender Kompetenzen. Zukünftig wird mehr Raum für die interprofessionelle Fort- und Weiterbildung nötig sein. Strukturierte Forschungsprogramme sind essenziell, um die Effekte von interprofessioneller Ausbildung im DACH-Raum nachweisen zu können.In diesem Positionspapier regt der GMA Ausschuss für Interprofessionelle Ausbildung an, dieses Thema weiter voranzubringen und möchte gemeinsam mit anderen entstandenen Netzwerken weiterhin für eine Stärkung und Intensivierung von interprofessioneller Ausbildung und Zusammenarbeit im Gesundh

Muonic atoms have been used to extract the most accurate nuclear charge radii based on the detection of X-rays from the muonic cascades. Most stable and a few unstable isotopes have been investigated with muonic atom spectroscopy techniques. A new research project recently started at the Paul Scherrer Institut aims to extend the highresolution muonic atom spectroscopy for the precise determination of nuclear charge radii and other nuclear structure properties of radioactive isotopes. The challenge to combine the high-energy muon beam with small quantity of stopping mass is being addressed by developing the concept of stopping the muon in a high-density, a high-pressure hydrogen cell and subsequent transfer of the muon to the element of interest. Status and perspectives of the project will be presented.

The hyperfine splitting of the 5g→4f transitions in muonic Re185,187 has been measured using high resolution high purity germanium detectors and compared to state-of-the-art atomic theoretical predictions. The spectroscopic quadrupole moment has been extracted using modern fitting procedures and compared to the values available in literature obtained from muonic x rays of natural rhenium. The extracted values of the nuclear spectroscopic quadrupole moment are 2.07(5) b and 1.94(5) b, respectively for Re185 and Re187.
