Traditional Chinese revolutionary works contain unique educational value, but they have not received the attention they deserve in teaching practice. To deeply explore and fully exert the educational potential of Chinese revolutionary works, Chinese teachers should take the guidance of Xi Jinping's Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, follow national policies such as the "Guidelines for Introducing Revolutionary Traditions into Curriculum Materials for Primary and Secondary Schools, " adhere to the "Ordinary High School Chinese Curriculum Standards (2017 Edition, Revised in 2020), " rely on the unified high school Chinese textbooks, be oriented by the current situation of high school Chinese teaching, and fully tap into the potential of Chinese revolutionary words form four dimensions: moral education value, aesthetic education value, historical value, and cultural value. The four dimensions hold structural characteristics of integrity, hierarchy, interactivity, and generativity. They are interrelated, interdependent, and mutually generated, jointly stimulating the educational potential of traditional Chinese revolutionary works. Teachers should integrate text resources, create teaching scenarios, and orderly organize practical activities, in order to effectively realize the educational value of traditional Chinese revolutionary works, enhance students' recognition of the value of these works, and enable them to continue the red bloodline, practice the revolutionary spirit, and ultimately grow into socialist builders and successors with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor.

Since orthopedic surgery has been slower to acknowledge the rise of social media for distributing medical information, this study aims to evaluate TikTok videos' quality and educational value in relation to carpal tunnel syndrome treatment exercises. TikTok was searched using the hashtags "#carpaltunnelexercises", "#carpaltunnelremedies", "#carpaltunnelrehab", and "#physicaltherapyforcarpaltunnel". The engagement indicators were documented and the video content quality was assessed using the DISCERN, CTEES, JAMA, and GQS grading scales. There were 101 videos included, which accumulated 20,985,730 views. The videos received 1,460,953 likes, 15,723 comments, 243,245 favorites, and 159,923 shares. Healthcare professionals were responsible for 72% of the video uploads, whereas general users contributed 28%. More healthcare professionals' videos were graded as "poor" (79%) compared to general users (21%). General users received slightly more video grades of "very poor" (52%) than healthcare professionals (48%). For the DISCERN grading, the videos by healthcare professionals were significantly better than those by general users in terms of reliability, achieving aims, and relevancy. They were also superior in the overall composition of the health information derived from the total DISCERN score. However, no significant differences were found between the two groups when using the CTEES, JAMA, and GQS grading scales. Overall, despite the emergence of TikTok as a medical information tool, the quality and educational value of the carpal tunnel syndrome exercise videos were poor. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Educational leadership theory is a dynamic and multifaceted subject that emerged from enterprise leadership perspectives, but it necessitates alignment with the practical aspects of educational management. To comprehensively grasp the evolution and present research status of this theory, content analysis is employed in this study to systematically analyze and quantify pertinent information. The key findings are as follows: Firstly, empirical research serves as the predominant research method in studying educational leadership theory. Within this field, qualitative and quantitative research methods are employed simultaneously. Moreover, case studies play a crucial role in advancing the development of issues and the construction of theories. Additionally, the distributed leadership theory has gained significant prominence within the realm of educational leadership. Current research methods employed in this theory are still in a stage of maturity, relying primarily on qualitative research to uncover underlying patterns among social phenomena through examination of specific cases. Finally, the primary focus of educational leadership theory lies in studying school managers and teachers. In light of the influence stemming from distributed leadership theory, teacher leadership has garnered increasing attention from scholars and has emerged as a burgeoning area of interest. This study contributes to the field by presenting a comprehensive framework for cognitive educational leadership theory through an extensive content analysis, thereby offering valuable insights into its overall developmental trajectory. These findings provide a macro-level perspective on educational leadership theory, particularly beneficial for subsequent researchers, especially those new to the field, seeking to grasp the broader landscape of this discipline. Women in Eastern culture are often thought of as “the other”. Similarly, feminism in Indonesian literature is also considered a contemporary literary phenomenon in the 21st century. However, according to our research findings, feminism in Indonesian literature has been present since 1901, during Dutch colonialism. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate how feminism is represented in Indonesian literature. The source of this research data is Four Novels by Ki Padmasusastra (FNKP), published between 1901 and 1924. We used qualitative methods to analyze the data. The results showed that FNKP is a postcolonial novel that represents feminism and educational values. Feminism in FNKP was influenced by the Dutch during the colonial period in Indonesia. The authors seek to show that feminism is not at odds with Eastern culture but rather reflects its diversity and complexity. Through literature, the authors seek to educate readers about the similarities and differences between Eastern and Western cultures and how they can coexist in modern society.

The aim of this research is to compile studies related to the educational value of Kutadgu Bilig, and to examine and evaluate relevant research based on certain characteristics. The research was conducted using the document analysis, and the "Content Analysis" technique was employed for analyzing the data. Through a literature review conducted on TR Index and National Thesis Center databases, a search for studies published on Kutadgu Bilig's educational value resulted in the identification of 21 articles, 8 master's theses, and 2 doctoral theses. The obtained data were categorized under 5 different headings and presented in tables. As a result of the research, it was determined that studies on the educational value of Kutadgu Bilig were mostly concentrated between 2017 and 2021. In many of these studies, research and analysis methods were not specified; those that were mentioned were predominantly designed qualitatively. The subject of this review paper is to study the current state of modern universities, and show the challenges universities are facing in today's society, emphasizing the need to redefine educational paradigms due to the impact of globalization and neoliberalism. The paper aims to identify problems in the university system and provide solutions so that the focus is again directed towards essential knowledge. The methodological approach of this paper is reflected in the analysis of professional literature, research of case studies and analysis of university policies. The research results are identification of key challenges universities are facing today, as well as confirmation of the negative effects of the "publish or perish" policy in academic circles. The conclusion that emerges from all of the above is that implementing slow education can allow universities to return to their essence as centers of knowledge and deep educational values. These proposals aim to make the renewal of the education system more sustainable and directed towards long-term benefits for students and society as a whole.

Background: Limited research exists on the prevalence of undergraduate research participant pools (URPs) in psychology departments or guidelines surrounding their use. Objective: The aim of the current study was to replicate older studies on the prevalence of URPs in the United States and the procedures and guidelines related to those requirements. Method: Psychology department chairs in the U.S. were recruited by email and via the Association of Heads of Departments of Psychology listserv. A total of 604 department chairs participated in the online study by completing a series of assessments related to URP use in their department. Results: Most 4-year institutions (67.7%), but few 2-year institutions (6.3%) had a URP. Of the 4-year institutions with a URP, 83.7% had a research requirement for students enrolled in their introduction to psychology courses. Most departments (84.0%) did not assess the educational value of research participation. Conclusion: Most psychology departments have a URP, but few examined the educational value of research participation. Teaching Implications: Psychology departments should identify learning objectives for research participation, assess outcomes, and identify practices that optimize achieving those objectives. Background: Videos relating to rehabilitation exercises for common injuries relevant to younger populations such as anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear receive high view counts on social media platforms such as TikTok. Purpose/Hypothesis: The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality, reliability, and educational value of TikTok videos among the patient population for ACL injury. It was hypothesized that TikTok videos related to ACL rehabilitation exercises would lack quality, reliability, and educational value. Study Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: TikTok was queried for relevant videos using the hashtags "#ACLrehab" and "#ACLexercises." For each included video, the type of uploader (general user or health care professional) was identified. In addition, the number of views, likes, shares, comments, and favorites for each included video was recorded, and the content of each video was graded using the DISCERN (a well-validated informational analysis tool) and the ACL exercise education score (ACLEES - a custom-designed tool for the evaluation of ACL-related exercises). Results: A total of 111 videos with 5,520,660 cumulative views were included; the median number of views per video was 9801.0 (interquartile range [IQR], 3583.0-28,000.0). Of these videos, 84 and 27 were created by the general public and health care professionals, respectively. The videos collectively received 335,577 likes, 2969 comments, 22,856 favorites, and 6142 shares, with a median of 439 (IQR, 111-1374), 10 (IQR, 2.5-25.5), 54 (IQR, 18-172.5), and 12 (IQR, 2-36), respectively. The tabulated scores for the DISCERN and ACLEES between general users and health care professionals were all statistically nonsignificant. Health care professionals had a higher percentage of videos with a "very poor" DISCERN score in comparison with the general public (66.67% vs 53.57%, respectively). Conclusion: The overall educational value of the TikTok videos related to ACL rehabilitation exercises was very poor. Health care professionals should be aware of the broad distribution of ACL rehabilitation exercise videos that are accessible on TikTok and raise awareness of the deficiencies of the platform as a medium for educational medical-related information. The Pamona tribe's traditional marriage ceremony, called mangawianaka ada mporongo malulu ada pamona (performing a marriage that follows Pamona customs), is led directly by the customary chief and the Pamona tribal customary council. The Pamona tribe's traditional marriage ceremony consists of several requirements that must be prepared and fulfilled by both parties of the prospective bride and groom to get goodness in the future. This research aims to reveal the educational values of the Pamona tribe's marriage customs from the perspective of the Sociology of Literature. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach method that describes or paints symptoms and facts systematically. The data collection technique used listening to recordings of informant interviews, field notes, and other literature sources. Based on the results of the research, the educational values contained in the expression of the Pamona tribe's traditional marriage consist of (1) religious values, (2) moral values, (3) social values (4) and cultural values. The educational values revealed in the Pamona tribe's traditional marriage are not only in the form of educational values but also represent social values in the Pamona tribe community.

This study aims to reveal educational value contained in the ethnoparenting of Penrek Tojang of the Bugis Tribe in Wattang Sidenreng, Sidenren Rappang Regency. This study used a qualitative approach with a type of transcendental phenomenology. The subjects in this study were a pair of parents (father and mother) who had carried out the Penrek Tojang ceremony at the birth of their child. Data collection techniques were carried out using semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation, until it reached the stage of exploring intention and eidetic reduction (values/ideas) which underlies pure subjectivity. The core processes of this research were epoche, reduction, imaginative variation, and synthesis of meanings and essence. The analysis technique used epoche/bracketing. The results of the study showed that the implementation of ethnic-based parenting in ethnoparenting was still carried out through the Penrek Tojang event or the swing ride. The aim of the Penrek Tojang tradition is to get closer to Allah SWT and as a form of gratitude for having been given a child and asking for the child's safety. The implementation of Penrek Tojang began with the preparatory stage, namely preparing tools and materials as well as food to be served at the event. Then the event began with welcoming the invited guests, the process of throwing away, reading barazanji/makkulawi, cutting hair, kissing the baby, riding on a swing (menrek tojang), then closing with prayer and eating together. The educational values contained in ethnoparenting at the Penrek Tojang event include aqidah values, worship values, and moral values, namely the values of gratitude, politeness, affection, hospitality and helping. This is an effort to instill character education in children which makes them dignified in their lives and implies instilling life skills, including spiritual, emotional, and social skills.

In this study, the linear regression equation is used to express the quantitative dependence of the variables and variables of the value of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the regression equation is optimized based on the BP neural network, and the regression analysis model of innovation and entrepreneurship education is constructed, and the significance test of the equation is carried out through the ANOVA method. The large sample research method was used to obtain samples of research material for public innovation and entrepreneurial education value cognition, which were then analyzed using SPSS software. The differences in gender, age, education, and specialty on the value cognition of innovation and entrepreneurship education are investigated by ANOVA, and the model constructed in this paper is used to explore the influence of an individual’s social consciousness, innovation, and entrepreneurship environment and education on their value cognition of entrepreneurship education, to summarize the value path of innovation and entrepreneurship education. From the current situation of value cognition and difference analysis, the value cognition level of innovation and entrepreneurship education of the survey respondents scored 3.78, and the significance of attitude willingness and individual value cognition in the single-factor analysis of age was 0.048 and 0.024, which were less than 0.05, and age had a significant effect on the overall cognition level.

This study involves Portuguese, Spanish and Greek pre-service primary teachers (n = 210) and pre-service kindergarten teachers (n = 195) and identifies through a questionnaire a) their personal opinions and b) perception of the didactic value of eight performances with live animals. The results were compared by course among countries and between courses in the same country. Globally, the pre-service teachers neither showed a great personal interest, nor recognized great didactic relevance in these shows. Pre-kindergarten teachers from Portugal and Spain tend to value them more positively as a way to bring children closer to animals. Shows with aquatic mammals received the greatest appreciation in both dimensions, especially in the Greek sample; birds of prey shows were valued more by the Iberian participants. Violent shows, such as fighting animals and bullfighting, were very negatively viewed. Shows with pets and birds of prey were viewed frequently as more detrimental to animals than they are. The results show that a better understanding of the impact of each show on animals is needed, if pre-service teachers are to make informed decisions in their professional future. This research explores the educational values embedded in the local wisdom of Lubuk Larangan in Rantau Pandan Village, Bungo District. To achieve this goal, the method used is qualitative research with a descriptive-analytical approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and data validity was maintained through data source triangulation. The results of this research reveal that the local wisdom of Lubuk Larangan encompasses several valuable educational values. First, there are moral and ethical education values that promote awareness of good and proper behavior. Second, social education values help strengthen interpersonal relationships in the community and promote cooperation. Third, religious education values inspire spiritual and moral beliefs among the local population. Lubuk Larangan serves as an important public space for education for the people of Rantau Pandan. Through the introduction and understanding of these values, the community can preserve and pass on their cultural heritage while enhancing their understanding of ethics, morals, and deep-seated social and religious values. The results of this research make a significant contribution to appreciating and utilizing local cultural richness as a source of valuable educational values.

The prerequisite for red stories to be fully effective in educating people lies in clarifying the value, advantages and transformation ways of red stories as an educational resources. As a red resource, red stories have educational values of promoting the construction of a socialist core value system, leading individuals in the right direction of socialization, and cultivating positive feelings of love for the Communist Party of China (CPC) and country. As an educational resource, the advantages of red stories lie in the fact that the main objective is to educate people; the subject of teaching is diversified; the content is derived from life; the form is enjoyable. In school education, the ways in which red stories can be used to implement education includes classroom teaching with red stories to promote awareness, practical activities with red stories to promote practice, and an environment with red stories to nurture people implicitly. Para penikmat pewayangan sependapat apabila pementasan wayang orang merupaan kesenian tradisional yang mempunyai nilai-niai luhur yang tinggi. Wayang wong mengajaran ajaran dan nilai-nilai itu tidak secara teoretis saja (berupa ajaran dan nilai-nilai) melainkan secara konkret dengan menghadirkan kehidupan tokoh-tokohnya secara konkret sebagai teladan. Peran, makna dan nilai-nilai pendidikan dalam wayang wong dalam masyarakat Cirebon yang selama ini hampir punah,. Sebagai rasa bangga sebagai bangsa Indonesia yang nanti akan mewariskan nilai-nilai budaya sebagai perwujudan kearifan lokal (wisdom local) yang bisa dijadikan khasanah pewarisan budaya wayang wong di masa yang akan datang. Kajian dan nilai-nilai pertunjukan sebagai upaya revitalisasi pada generasi saat ini melalui pelestarian dan kearifan lokal untuk menjaga dan merawat nilai-nilai luhur. Kebudayan dan multikultur tradisi masyarakat wilayah Cirebon Jawa Barat yang kental akan nilai-nilai pendidikan. Sehingga mindseet serta pola pikir perlu adanya perubahan untuk bisa menanamkan nilai-nilai budaya kesenian wayang wong Cirebon dalam pembelajaran sastra. Integrated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) embedding project-based learning (i-STEM PjBL) is still faced with challenges, and its educational values have not been revealed, which is what the study aimed to explore. Participants consisted of 48 freshmen from a senior high school, including 27 male students and 21 female students. The open-ended questionnaire and the interview for the students were administrated after the i-STEM PjBL. The qualitative data were converted into quantitative data counted by the occurrence frequencies of the codes. The results based on the integration and comparison of the open-ended questionnaire and interview outcomes showed that i-STEM PjBL provided students with positive educational values (including learning acquisition, performance, and perception), but there were also learning challenges in the process. Learning acquisition focused on the basic structure and components of a robot, principles of robot motion, hull structure, principles of sailboat navigation, and skills of designing and assembling sailboats. Learning performance referred that students were satisfied with their hands-on performances and confident of their abilities to perform better in similar disciplines, but did not learn well on programming. Learning perception indicated that students felt interested in i-STEM PjBL materials could acquire knowledge and skills from various fields, PjBL could be helpful to complete works, and principles could be helpful in practice, while programming design learning materials were not enough. Learning challenges indicated that students were unfamiliar with the usage of tools and hands-on operation, and they also felt challenged by programming. Background: Preclinical medical learners are embedded in technology-rich environments, allowing them rapid access to a large volume of information. The anatomy laboratory is an environment in which faculty can assess the development of professional skills such as information literacy in preclinical medical learners. In the anatomy laboratory, many students use Google Images searches in addition to or in place of other course materials as a resource to locate and identify anatomical structures. However, the most frequent sources as well as the educational quality of these images are unknown. Objective: This study was designed to assess the sources and educational value of Google Images search results for commonly searched anatomical structures. Methods: The top 10 Google Images search results were collected for 39 anatomical structures. Image source websites were recorded and categorized based on the purpose and target audience of the site publishing the image. Educational value was determined through assessment of relevance (is the searched structure depicted in the image?), accuracy (does the image contain errors?), and usefulness (will the image assist a learner in locating the structure on an anatomical donor?). A reliable scoring rubric was developed to assess an image’s usefulness. Results: A total of 390 images were analyzed. Most often, images were sourced from websites targeting health care professionals and health care professions students (38% of images), while Wikipedia was the most frequent single source of image results (62/390 results). Of the 390 total images, 363 (93.1%) depicted the searched structure and were therefore considered relevant. However, only 43.0% (156/363) of relevant images met the threshold to be deemed useful in identifying the searched structure in an anatomical donor. The usefulness of images did not significantly differ across source categories. Conclusions: Anatomy faculty may use these results to develop interventions for gaps in information literacy in preclinical medical learners in the context of image searches in the anatomy laboratory. Background: Minimally invasive surgery is a rising trend in colorectal surgery and is on its way to becoming the gold standard due to the benefits it provides for patients. This study aims to test the efficacy for educational purposes by evaluating the videos published on YouTube (www.youtube.com) channel for low anterior resection procedure in rectum surgery.Methods: We searched YouTube on October 17, 2020 to choose video clips that included relevant information about laparoscopic low anterior resection (LAR) for rectal cancer.Results: We included 25 academics and 75 individual videos in this study. The teaching quality of the videos was evaluated according to academic and individual videos, and it was seen that the teaching quality scores of academic videos were higher and this result was statistically significant (P = .03). The modified Laparoscopic Surgery Video Educational Guidelines (LAP-VEGaS) criteria were found that the score was higher in individual videos (P = .014). The median Video Power Index (VPI) value was 1.50 (range .05-347) and the mean ratio was 7.01 ± 3.52. There was no statistically significant difference between the 2 groups (P = .443).Discussion: Video-based surgical learning is an effective method for surgical education. Our study showed that the video quality and educational content of most of the videos about the low anterior resection procedure on YouTube were low. The videos of academic origin seem more valuable than individual videos. As far as video popularity is concerned, YouTube viewers are not selective. For this reason, training videos to be used for educational purposes must be passed through a standardized evaluation filter. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Educational apps offer a wide range of opportunities to foster children's early competency development during preschool age. However, due to inconsistent evaluation criteria, comparing the educational value of different apps is challenging, and conclusive data on children's and parent's preferences in choosing educational apps for preschoolers is lacking. In the present study, we analyse differences and agreements between the assessments of educational apps by scientific experts, parents, and their children, and compare their assessments with children's actual usage times. In sum, N = 400 children aged between 51 and 75 months (M = 60.9; SD = 4.5) obtained tablets to use at home for 10 consecutive months, with educational apps specifically developed to foster preschool children's cognitive, mathematical, and linguistic competences. Scientific experts rated children's apps according to the evaluation criteria by Hirsh-Pasek et al. (2015), while parents and children rated the respective apps with school grades, data was assessed at t1 (after 5 months) and t2 (after 10 months). Results show that children are less likely to play with apps with a higher educational value and rate them lower compared to ratings by scientific experts. Significant associations were found between the app ratings of parents and their children. With these findings, the present study provides insights into children's app preferences und usage behaviour especially in the context of family environment. The results highlight the importance of thoroughly researching and considering the perspectives of both parents and children to design apps that are enjoyable and played for extended periods. • Educational apps with a higher educational value are less appealing to children and played less often. • While parents and their children agree on their app preferences, both show different preferences than scientific experts. • The learning content was not decisive for children's app ratings, but rather the way the content was conveyed in the app. • Integrating all stakeholders' perspectives is crucial in the process of designing and selecting educational apps for children. This study aimed to assess the impact of experiential marketing on audience perception in Indian performing art educational institutions. For this purpose, data were collected between August 2022 to January 2023 from 311 students of the National School of Drama (NSD), Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, Kathak Kendra, and Triveni Kala Sangam. The study focused on experiential marketing strategies incorporated into digital platforms. In this study, structural equation modelling and regression analysis were employed to analyze the impact of experiential marketing on audience perception, and the results indicated a positive relationship between perception and the quality of Interactive Experiences. However, no statistically significant results were found for the relationships between Perception and Immersive Experiences and Perception and Educational Value, suggesting the need for more specific and tailored measures. The results had important implications for designers and developers of digital experiences, who might benefit from prioritizing interactivity and tailoring content to enhance user perception of immersive experiences and educational value on behalf of their educational clientele. Collective interest in global health training during US obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) residency has grown over the past decade. The benefits of participation in global health electives have been well described. This review seeks to determine what literature exists regarding the use of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Milestones in Ob/Gyn residency as an assessment tool to evaluate global health programs. The PubMed database was searched from July 14, 2020 to August 20, 2021, using six search phrases: “global health curriculum(s) and ACGME”; “international health and ACGME”; “global health and Ob/Gyn residency”; “international health and Ob/Gyn residency”; “global health and Ob/Gyn residents”; and “global health curriculum(s) and Ob/Gyn residency.” Publications that described global health programming outside of residency, within other medical specialties, and/or at non-US institutions were excluded from this review. In total, 259 publications resulted from the preliminary search. Five articles described US global health residency training in Ob/Gyn in some capacity. Only one publication described a specific global health elective and its evaluation with respect to ACGME Milestones. Despite growing popularity of global health electives among residency programs, few are assessing the educational value of these offerings using ACGME Milestones or describing these efforts in the literature. Mantra in UsadaWarigaDalem is an example of a cultural tradition written on palm leaves that still survives as traditional medicine in Bali. This study aims to see the linguistic meaning, function and value of education from the Mantra in UsadaWarigaDalem. The analysis is carried out by applying Leech's theory of meaning, which divides meaning into seven types of meaning: conceptual, connotative, social, affective, reflective, collocative, and thematic meanings. In terms of educational values it refers to character education. This research uses descriptive-qualitative methods. Regarding the meaning and function of the mantra in UsadaWarigaDalem it is influenced by Balinese culture and Hinduism. Besides that, it also contains educational values, namely character education, it is found that religious values and social care / cooperation. Regarding the function of mantras in UsadaWarigaDalem related to social functions, namely in medicine and strengthening good relationship with others. In addition, it can be used as teaching material because it contains educational elements that are useful for educating the nation's future generations through literary works of heritage. Research indicates that poor communication accounts for almost half of errors made during surgery. Despite this, formal training in the cognitive and interpersonal aspects of operating is lacking in the surgical curriculum. Non-Technical Skills for Surgeons (NOTSS) is a behaviour rating system designed to evaluate surgeons on their non-technical skills in the operating room. This rating system splits intraoperative non-technical skills into four domains: situation awareness, decision-making, communication and teamwork, and leadership. Assessors score surgical trainees on each of these domains, using these ratings to inform a structured debrief. NOTSS has been shown to have a robust construct, content and concurrent validity, accurately predicting the risk of adverse events in surgery. Its reliability is threatened by considerable inter-rater variance, particularly in the cognitive domains of the taxonomy, which makes it difficult to defend its use as a summative assessment, but it is relatively procedure-independent as an assessment tool. The feasibility of incorporating NOTSS into the surgical curriculum depends on the viability and financial cost of training assessors across the United Kingdom (UK) in its use, which is currently unknown. It has been received positively by assessors and trainees alike as a formative tool to facilitate a deeper understanding of non-technical skills in theatre, but its acceptability as a barrier to progression has not been examined. The use of different technologies and technological solutions for learning purposes is no longer a novelty in the educational environment. Digital teaching materials are being developed that can be used both in classroom activities and for providing students with opportunities for independent learning. However, alongside these materials, there are various additional opportunities that can be used in the educational process to make learning more interesting and to motivate learners to become more actively involved in the construction of their knowledge. One is mobile applications, where augmented reality (AR) solutions enable the anatomy to be learned interactively by accessing knowledge traditionally provided through two-dimensional teaching aids, or sometimes through static three-dimensional objects. Mobile applications with AR solutions allow to understand the anatomy from both the external and internal dimensions of the body without being in a specific laboratory or anatomy laboratory (anatomicum). This article summarizes the evaluation results of 41 applications analyzed in the first evaluation phase, and seven mobile applications that met all of the advanced selection criteria were selected for in-depth analyses using a developed evaluation framework with 19 criteria from three areas: (a) technological performance, (b) information architecture, and (c) educational value. This study is aiming at developing aesthetic learning design with a systemic approach to achieve educational value in performing arts. The study was conducted by employing research & development approach, consisting of stages, i.e. (1) identifying learning objectives, preceding by need assessments, (2) doing learning analysis, (3) analyzing students’ behavior and characteristics, (4) identifying specific learning objectives, (5) developing learning outcomes assessment tool, (6) developing learning strategy, (7) selecting and developing learning material, (8) designing and evaluating formative learning design, and (9) designing and conducting summative evaluations. The results of this study are a set of aesthetic learning implementation plan with a systemic approach that meets the development criteria. The aesthetic learning design has been tested and tried out; and is effectively able to achieve the learning objectives of the aesthetic course in university; namely, students are able to find the value of education in performing arts and foster aesthetic sensitivity.

Research in outdoor education and more specifically on wilderness expeditions has almost exclusively focused on short-term benefits (<5yrs) despite their findings suggesting these are "life-changing" experiences. This study examined long-term outcomes (40 years later) of three (month-long) adventurous school expeditions to mainland Europe, by staff and pupils from a high school (11-to 16-year-olds) in Scotland in the 1970s. The investigation was initiated by a call for life stories from 45 participants, followed by 10 interviews at a school reunion. The interviews revealed a transference of learning qualities attributed to the expedition, indicating a long-term impact on participants' personal and/or professional lives, with individuals still drawing upon their expedition experiences some 40 years later. Significant themes emerging were planning and preparation, confidence, and feelings of gratefulness, which led to participants wanting to undertake service that contributes back into society for young peoples' benefit.
