Reaction conditions for mechanochemical Ar-amination were optimized in parallel: in a maximum of four steps [neat, LAG (water or methanol) and AG (sand) conditions] the yield could be significantly improved. The reaction time is short, and the conversion and purity are high.

El tricobezoar es una formación tumoral gástrica muy rara que está compuesta de pelo y que afecta al sexo femenino en mayor porcentaje.Esta entidad muy poco frecuente está asociada a trastornos psicológicos como la tricotilomanía y es causante de obstrucción intestinal alta. El diagnostico se basa en los datos de la anamnesis y examen físico al encontrar masa tumoral en epigastrio y sin antecedente mórbidos. El tratamiento está determinado por el tamaño de la masa y complicaciones presentes por lo cual la remoción quirúrgica fue de elección en este caso. Es necesario la valoración psicológica en este paciente para evitar recidivas por la tricofagia que ellos presentan

La agroindustria del cultivo de tomate artesanal forma parte de emprendimientos rurales como envasados y conservación de hortalizas, tecnologías en agroindustria que demanda el comité de actores locales de la cadena de tomate del programa CRIA IICA. La evaluación de calidad de cinco híbridos de tomate para elaboración de néctares artesanales se hizo con el propósito de determinar las mejores características de calidad interna (°Brix, pH) y externa (sabor, color, acidez) de los híbridos: Retana f1, Toliman f1, Resistente f1, Tolstoi f1, Lancelot f1. Se determinó que todos los híbridos cumplieron con el contenido mínimo de °Brix entre 4.2 y 5.5, en pH los híbridos Lancelot y Tolstoi fluctúa entre 4.2 y 4.4, según lo establecido por la normativa (CODEX 2005). En los análisis sensoriales reportó que hay diferencias estadísticas significativas para los híbridos de tomate, en atributo color. Los jueces mostraron una mayor preferencia por el híbrido resistente puntuación de 7.22. El néctar con mayor acidez es el híbrido Tolstoi puntuación de 8.71, e impresión general punteo de 8.94 Toliman, 8.90 Lancelot, 7.03 Retana y 6.43 Resistente. Se concluye que los híbridos Resistente, Retan y Tolsoi tienen los parámetros ideales de calidad para la elaboración de néctares artesanales.

O sistema brasileiro de ensino é voltado para a utilização de provas de exames para a verificação da aprendizagem e, muitos profissionais ligados à Educação estudam e escrevem sobre o tema. Desta forma, o objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar o método de avaliação somativa contínua como estratégia avaliativa no componente curricular Biologia do Ensino Médio da Escola Técnica Estadual Arlindo Ferreira dos Santos, assim como desenvolver metodologias de intervenções que possam ser utilizadas pelos professores dos demais componentes curriculares, facilitando a aprendizagem do aluno. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida a partir de uma abordagem intervencionista quali-quantitativa. O estudo foi realizado em uma turma do 3º Ano do Ensino Médio do ano letivo de 2014. Os dados foram coletados através de entrevistas com os alunos e a partir de testes escritos ao final de cada conteúdo. No processo de avaliação contínua somativa, foi visto que a aprendizagem é mais efetiva quando os alunos se submetem ao estudo de rotina. Durante a intervenção foi verificado que a baixa frequência nas aulas pode acarretar mal desempenho nas avaliações contínuas, e que a falta de motivação intrínseca dos alunos atrapalha seus desempenhos.

No cultivo do amendoim, Arachis hypogaea, visando o controle de uma das principais pragas que infestam as lavouras, o tripes Enneothrips flavens, são realizadas pulverizações calendarizadas de inseticidas pelos produtores, o que pode afetar a maior ou a menor incidência de ácaros no ambiente. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a infestação de ácaros ao final do ciclo da cultura, após aplicações sequenciais de inseticidas para o controle do tripes. O experimento foi realizado na cidade de Planalto, localizada no estado de São Paulo, na safra 2020/21. O delineamento utilizado foi o em blocos casualizados composto por 16 tratamentos (15 inseticidas e uma testemunha) e quatro repetições cada. Como resultado foi observado com maior presença o Mononychellus planki e o Tetranychus urticae, sobretudo o primeiro. Entre os inseticidas avaliados, o Benevia, nas condições que foram realizadas o experimento, foi o que contribuiu para o aumento da população do ácaro-verde no fim do ciclo da cultura do amendoim. In the cultivation of peanuts, Arachis hypogaea, aiming to control one of the main pests that infest crops, thrips Enneothrips flavens, timed spraying of insecticides is carried out by producers, which can affect the greater or lesser incidence of mites in the environment. The objective of this work was to evaluate the mite infestation at the end of the crop cycle, after sequential application of insecticides to control thrips. The experiment was carried out in the city of Planalto, located in the state of São Paulo, in the 2020/21 harvest. The design used was a randomized block consisting of 16 treatments (15 insecticides and a control) and four replications each. As a result, Mononychellus planki and Tetranychus urticae were observed with greater presence, especially the former. Among the evaluated insecticides, Benevia, under the conditions in which the experiment was carried out, was the one that contributed to the increase in the green mite population at the end of the peanut crop cycle. En el cultivo del maní, Arachis hypogaea, con el objetivo de controlar una de las principales plagas que infestan los cultivos, los trips Enneothrips flavens, los productores realizan fumigaciones cronometradas de insecticidas, que pueden afectar la mayor o menor incidencia de ácaros en el medio ambiente. El objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar la infestación de ácaros al final del ciclo del cultivo, luego de la aplicación secuencial de insecticidas para el control de trips. El experimento se llevó a cabo en la ciudad de Planalto, ubicada en el estado de São Paulo, en la zafra 2020/21. El diseño utilizado fue un bloque al azar que consta de 16 tratamientos (15 insecticidas y un control) y cuatro repeticiones cada uno. Como resultado, se observaron con mayor presencia Mononychellus planki y Tetranychus urticae, especialmente el primero. Entre los insecticidas evaluados, Benevia, en las condiciones en las que se realizó el experimento, fue el que contribuyó al aumento de la población de ácaros verdes al final del ciclo del cultivo del maní.

Inspired by the ability of enzymes to use the surrounding hydrophobic and/or polarizable groups to modulate the pK of a given amino acid, we designed a series of soluble polymers able to decrease the basicity of pyrrolidine (from 11.2 to 8.6 pK units), which clearly increases its aminocatalytic activity at physiological pH in C═N bond formation reactions via ion iminium activation. Other parameters such as charge density, hydrophobic/hydrophilic balance, and aggregation state have been studied as important factors in the catalytic activity of the polymers for a given substrate. To demonstrate the utility of our approach, an optimal pyrrolidine-based catalytic polymer has been used for the formation of C-N bonds between hydrazides and free sugars as the model system for the preparation of glycoconjugates., We thank the undergraduate student Elena Y. Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) The organic agriculture appeal for sustainability guides efforts towards the development and implementation of alternative techniques for the use of synthetic inputs in the fertilization of soils and crops. In this way, researchers and agricultural producers have been encouraged to experiment with biofertilizers made from the digestion of organic materials to replace mineral fertilizers. The difficulty lies in developing competitive alternatives in terms of production efficiency, besides the production costs and the range of attributes gained by the addition of synthetic inputs to fertilizers, such as plant growth hormone regulators. In this work, we developed an easy production method for a liquid biofertilizer made from the aerobic or anaerobic digestion of poultry litter and cattle manure and evaluated its nutrients composition and its fertilizer potential for plants. The developed liquid biofertilizer has contents of 450-600 mg L-¹ Nitrogen, 4-5 mg L-¹ Phosphorus, 560-650 mg L-¹ Potassium, in addition to the presence of Magnesium, Calcium, Boron, Iron, Zinc and Copper. It also demonstrate advantageous conditions for direct application without need of pH or salinity adjustment. In germination assessment with lettuce seeds of L. sativa, it was not toxic for dilutions of 5% to 50% and hindered the proliferation of bacteria and fungi. In the fluorescence spectroscopy analysis, the biofertilizer showed estimated concentrations of 11-26 µmol L-¹ of indolacetic acid (IAA), an important phytohormone responsible for plants root development. The optimum period of the biodigestion process was 30 to 45 days, the production and use of the biofertilizer is a promising alternative to replace mineral fertilizers, mainly those destined for vegetable crops. O apelo da agricultura orgânica e da sustentabilidade no setor agrícola guiam esforços ao desenvolvimento e implementação de técnicas alternativas para uso de insumos sintéticos na fertilização de solos e cultivares. Desta forma, pesquisadores e produtores rurais têm sido incentivados a experimentar biofertilizantes preparados a partir da digestão de materiais orgânicos em substituição aos fertilizantes minerais. A dificuldade se encontra em apresentar alternativas competitivas quanto a eficiência produtiva somadas aos custos de produção e a gama de atributos gerados pela adição de insumos sintéticos aos fertilizantes oferecidos comercialmente, como reguladores hormonais de crescimento vegetal. Neste trabalho, desenvolvemos um modo de produção facilitado de biofertilizante líquido a partir da digestão aeróbia ou anaeróbia de rejeitos da produção de avicultura e pecuária e avaliamos seus nutrientes e seu potencial de fertilização de plantas. O biofertilizante líquido desenvolvido apresentou teores de 450-600 mg L-¹ de Nitrogênio, 4-5 mg L-¹ de Fósforo, 560-650 mg L-¹ de Potássio, além da presença de Magnésio, Cálcio, Boro, Ferro, Zinco E Cobre. Demonstrou ainda condições favoráveis à aplicação direta sem correções de pH e salinidade. Em testes de germinação com sementes de alface, não se mostrou tóxico para diluições de 5% até 50% e dificultou a proliferação de bactérias e de fungos. Na análise de espectroscopia de fluorescência, o biofertilizante apresentou concentrações estimadas de 11-26 µmol L-¹ de ácido indolacético (AIA), importante fitormônio responsável pela indução de crescimento de raízes de plantas. Como o período ótimo do processo de biodigestão foi de 30 a 45 dias, a produção e utilização do biofertilizante é uma alternativa promissora para substituir fertilizantes minerais, principalmente aqueles destinados às culturas de olerícolas. The use of electricity instead of stoichiometric amounts of oxidizers or reducing agents in synthesis is very appealing for economic and ecological reasons, and represents a major driving force for research efforts in this area. To use electron transfer at the electrode for a successful transformation in organic synthesis, the intermediate radical (cation/anion) has to be stabilized. Its combination with other approaches in organic chemistry or concepts of contemporary synthesis allows the establishment of powerful synthetic methods. The aim in the 21st Century will be to use as little fossil carbon as possible and, for this reason, the use of renewable sources is becoming increasingly important. The direct conversion of renewables, which have previously mainly been incinerated, is of increasing interest. This Review surveys many of the recent seminal important developments which will determine the future of this dynamic emerging field.

The direct synthetic organic use of electricity is currently experiencing a renaissance. More synthetically oriented laboratories working in this area are exploiting both novel and more traditional concepts, paving the way to broader applications of this niche technology. As only electrons serve as reagents, the generation of reagent waste is efficiently avoided. Moreover, stoichiometric reagents can be regenerated and allow a transformation to be conducted in an electrocatalytic fashion. However, the application of electroorganic transformations is more than minimizing the waste footprint, it rather gives rise to inherently safe processes, reduces the number of steps of many syntheses, allows for milder reaction conditions, provides alternative means to access desired structural entities, and creates intellectual property (IP) space. When the electricity originates from renewable resources, this surplus might be directly employed as a terminal oxidizing or reducing agent, providing an ultra‐sustainable and therefore highly attractive technique. This Review surveys recent developments in electrochemical synthesis that will influence the future of this area.

An unusual reaction between GO, DBU and DMF, that typically uses base and solvent, has been thoroughly analyzed providing valuable basic knowledge about the reactivity of GO, which is essential to control functionalization and therefore the properties of graphene derivatives. A combination of characterization techniques, experiments and theoretical calculations allowed us to propose a structure for the materials and a plausible mechanism. The catalytic activity of the new basic materials was also analyzed.

The cathodic treatment of nitroarenes in the presence of aldehydes yields directly and selectively nitrones. Electrolysis can be conducted on a very simple undivided beaker-type cell under constant current conditions. The conversion tolerates multiple bonds, a variety of functional groups and heterocyclic moieties. Competing reductive conversions such as pinacolization are not observed. The green aspects of this electro-conversion are avoidance of metals, an environmentally benign solvent mixture, and stable as well as sustainable carbon electrodes.

Electrosynthesis of 2H‐2‐(aryl)benzo[d]‐1,2,3‐triazoles and their N‐oxides from 2‐nitroazobenzene derivatives is reported. The electrolysis is conducted in a very simple undivided cell under constant current conditions with a leaded bronze cathode and a glassy carbon anode. The product distribution between 2H‐2‐(aryl)benzo[d]‐1,2,3‐triazoles and their N‐oxides can be guided by simply controlling the current density and the amount of the charge applied. The reaction tolerates several sensitive functional groups in reductive electrochemistry. The usefulness and the applicability of the synthetic method is demonstrated by a formal synthesis of an antiviral compound., Electrosynthesis takes the lead: Electrosynthesis enables green and atom‐economic access to 2H‐2‐(aryl)‐benzo[d]‐1,2,3‐triazoles or their N‐oxides from 2‐nitroazobenzenes. This operationally very simple protocol is conducted in an undivided cell by constant current electrolysis. Optionally, inexpensive NaOH can be used as both a supporting electrolyte and additive.

"Anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) is the most aggressive form of thyroid cancer, with very high mortality rate. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) can represent up to 70% of ATC’s tumor mass, making them an interesting target for novel therapies. In this thesis, the aim was to further understand the crosstalk between ATC and TAMs. To achieve that, cell surface proteomics of two ATC cell lines (C3948 and T235), in mono- or co-culture with THP-1-derived macrophage-like cells, was performed. The protein Spry-4, an inhibitor of the MAPK-ERK pathway, was found to be downregulated in C3948 cells upon co-culture. Spry-4 protein levels were further evaluated by Western blot; only T235 in co-culture showed a trend for downregulation, although without statistical significance.(...)" N/A

Cathodic reduction of the nitro moiety and subsequent intramolecular cyclization affords different substituted 2,1-benzisoxazoles and quinoline N-oxides. This methodology allows the synthesis of two different types of heterocycles from common simple starting materials, using electrons as a sole reagent for this transformation. The electrolysis can be conducted in a very simple undivided electrolysis cell under constant current conditions. This permits working on a larger scale compared to other electrochemical methodologies and represents a significant advantage.

The easily available vinyl sulfone 3 showed great potential for new applications in several fields such as organic synthesis and bioconjugate formation. This was demonstrated by performing a systematic assessment of its reactivity in Michael, radical, and cycloaddition reactions. Heteroaryl vinyl sulfone 3 presented excellent output in terms of reactivity and selectivity, proving superior to phenyl vinyl sulfone 1 and with clear advantages over bis-sulfone 2. This behavior might be due to the conformational and orbital control exerted by the tetrazole unit according to DFT calculations. Moreover, some alternative transformations to the Julia-Kocienski olefination on the obtained products are also described.

Only electricity is needed for the transformation of nitrones to amines. Such a direct double reduction has not been reported by any sole chemical reagent in a single step process., The use of electricity allows the reduction of nitrones containing aromatic and heteroaromatic rings to the corresponding amines. The main advantage of this protocol relies on the fact that only electrons are needed, avoiding the use of different chemicals and harsh procedures, something that reinforces some green aspects. The conversion tolerates different moieties and a large variety of functional groups. In addition, this electrolysis can be performed on a simple undivided beaker-type cell with constant current conditions.

A simple method to transform sulfones into nitrones and therefore into the corresponding carbonyl derivatives has been developed. Some examples demonstrate that it is a new reliable and versatile reaction in the toolbox of sulfones that has great synthetic potential. NMR and computational studies were used to elucidate the mechanism.

A pesquisa objetivou avaliar a qualidade da agua da Bacia Urbana do Arroio Preto, Santa Cruz do Sul, RS, aplicando o Indice de Qualidade da Agua (IQA) adaptado para sistemas loticos sul brasileiros, em tres pontos de amostragem ao longo do Arroio, Ponto 1, trecho superior; Ponto 2, trecho intermediario; e Ponto 3 proximo a foz. Foram realizadas 19 campanhas entre 2007 e 2016, medindo: temperatura, pH, turbidez, oxigenio dissolvido, demanda bioquimica de oxigenio, nitrato, nitrito, nitrogenio amoniacal total, fosfato, solidos totais dissolvidos e coliformes termotolerantes. No presente trabalho foi desenvolvida uma análise comparativa sob a perspectiva ambiental do ciclo de vida de dois tipos de solução para paredes internas: os sistemas de blocos cerâmicos e de blocos de concreto. A metodologia usada na análise é a avaliação do ciclo de vida (ACV). O ciclo de vida dos insumos componentes de ambas alternativas de vedação é considerado integralmente: desde a extração da matéria-prima até o gerenciamento dos resíduos provenientes da execução e da demolição das alvenarias. A unidade funcional adotada para compatibilizar os fluxos elementares de material e energia é 1,00 m2 de alvenaria. Os dados relativos aos materiais e aos resíduos foram obtidos de inventários, originalmente secundários provenientes da base de dados EcoInvent, contudo ajustados à realidade brasileira conforme a cadeia nacional de produção. No que se refere à distribuição dos produtos e à destinação dos resíduos de construção e demolição, foram inventariadas distâncias e tonelagens para o transporte rodoviário e urbano por caminhão de carga, segundo o contexto espacial da cidade de Londrina, adotado como referência de localização geográfica neste estudo. O programa GaBi, versão do banco de dados Education 2016, foi o software utilizado na modelagem dos ciclos de vida de ambos sistemas de vedação estudados, e respectivos materiais constituintes, bem como na avaliação dos impactos do ciclo de vida (AICV). O método de avaliação CML 2001 foi utilizado na caracterização e quantificação dos impactos ambientais. Os resultados alcançados demonstraram não haver diferença considerável entre os sistemas de vedação interna avaliados em termos de potenciais de impacto totais registrados. Dentre os materiais estudados, o potencial de impacto mais acentuado está associado ao ciclo de vida da argamassa de cimento, empregada no assentamento dos blocos e no revestimento das paredes, sobretudo em virtude do elevado percentual de perdas de material durante a construção. In this dissertation a comparative analysis from an environmental approach was undertook of the life cycle of two alternative solutions that can be used for interior partition walls: the ceramic block and the concrete block systems. The Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology was applied in the analysis. The life cycle of the component materials used to build the internal partition walls was entirely considered, since the raw materials acquisition until the walls construction and demolition wastes management. The functional unit defined to count the material and energy elementary flows was 1,00 m2 of wall system. The materials and wastes data were obtained from the EcoInvent database, although adjusted to the Brazilian reality according to its supply chains. In relation to the products distribution and the construction and demolition waste transportation, the distances and lorry tonnages were taken into account to model the inventory, in accordance with the Londrina city spatial context, which was adopted as geographical location reference in this study. The GaBi program, database version Education 2016, was the software used to model the both investigated sealing systems, and their respective constituent materials, life cycles, as well as was the software used for the Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA). The environmental impacts were characterized and measured with the CML2001 evaluation method. The results achieved with the LCA showed that there isn?t a substantial difference between the both inner wall systems evaluated in terms of total impact potentials. Among the construction materials considered in the study, the greater impact potential is related to the life cycle of the cement mortar, utilized for the blocks settlement and wall coverings, especially due to the high losses rate of this material during the construction stage.

O Brasil é privilegiado em relação à disponibilidade hídrica, e mesmo assim, o país enfrenta desafios quanto à conservação, tratamento e distribuição da água. No meio rural é frequente as propriedades não possuírem acesso a redes de abastecimento, interceptando água diretamente de nascentes, poços, comumente sem tratamento e em condições inadequadas ao consumo. O estudo objetivou avaliar a qualidade microbiológica da principal fonte de água utilizada para o abastecimento humano e dessedentação animal em 104 propriedades rurais produtoras de leite na região do Vale do Taquari, Rio Grande do Sul. Amostras de água foram coletadas da principal fonte de ambos os abastecimentos nas propriedades rurais. Para as análises microbiológicas, detecção de coliformes totais e termotolerantes (Escherichia coli), utilizou-se o Kit Básico de Potabilidade Alfakit®. Os resultados obtidos nas análises foram comparados aos valores permitidos e estabelecidos pelas Resoluções (RDC) do Conselho Nacional do Meio Ambiente (CONAMA) n° 357/2005 (Classe III) e n° 396/2008 (Classe I e III) e Portaria do Ministério da Saúde (MS) n° 2914/2011. As análises revelaram que 62,5% (65) das águas destinadas ao consumo humano e 96,15% (96) das águas de dessedentação animal apresentaram coliformes totais e termotolerantes, 31,7% (33) e 45,2% (47), das águas de consumo humano e animal, respectivamente, apresentaram coliformes termotolerantes (E. coli). Esses resultados mostraram que existe uma porcentagem das fontes de água analisadas nestas propriedades, tanto de dessedentação animal quanto as de consumo humano, que se encontram em condições microbiológicas inadequadas para consumo, quando comparadas às legislações vigentes.
