- Abstract
Emotional labor, which is defined as an effort to create emotions in employees, is always a subject of controversy in the field of health. Health care workers have to exert emotional labor in order to reach an effective result in the service and care process. Midwifery is a profession that requires emotional labor. Pregnancy and childbirth have a lot of emotional positive or negative experiences for everyone involved. Midwives play a key role in coping with these feelings and providing support to families. It is important to examine the emotional aspects of midwifery profession which is important for mother and child health.
