Candida parapsilosis is known to cause severe and persistent outbreaks in clinical settings. Patients infected with multidrug-resistant C. parapsilosis (MDR Cp) isolates were identified in a large Turkish hospital from 2017-2020. We subsequently identified three additional patients infected with MDR Cp isolates in 2022 from the same hospital and two echinocandin-resistant (ECR) isolates from a single patient in another hospital. The increasing number of MDR and ECR isolates contradicts the general principle that the severe fitness cost associated with these phenotypes could prevent their dominance in clinical settings. Here, we employed a multidimensional approach to systematically assess the fitness costs of MDR and ECR C. parapsilosis isolates. Whole-genome sequencing revealed a novel MDR genotype infecting two patients in 2022. Despite severe in vitro defects, the levels and tolerances of the biofilms of our ECR and MDR isolates were generally comparable to those of susceptible wild-type isolates. Surprisingly, the MDR and ECR isolates showed major alterations in their cell wall components, and some of the MDR isolates consistently displayed increased tolerance to the fungicidal activities of primary human neutrophils and were more immunoevasive during exposure to primary human macrophages. Our systemic infection mouse model showed that MDR and ECR C. parapsilosis isolates had comparable fungal burden in most organs relative to susceptible isolates. Overall, we observed a notable increase in the genotypic diversity and frequency of MDR isolates and identified MDR and ECR isolates potentially capable of causing persistent outbreaks in the future.

The German 7-joint Ultrasound (US-7) is the first scoring system that combines bone erosions and soft tissue lesions in a single composite scoring system. This study aimed to assess the correlation between US-7 and Disease Activity Score Using 28 Joint Counts (DAS28) in clinically active RA patients. The efficacy of a novel ultrasound score-based system, the US-9 score (joints assessed with US-7 plus knees), was also compared with the standard US-7 score.Methods: All the RA patients referred to the outpatient rheumatology clinic of Ghaem Hospital, Mashhad, Iran, during 2019-2020 were included. 28 joints were clinically examined to calculate DAS28. Abstract Background Migraine is a headache disorder that affects public health and reduces the patient’s quality of life. Preventive medication is necessary to prevent acute attacks and medication overuse headaches (MOH). Agomelatine is a melatonin antagonist. Aims This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of agomelatine on the severity and frequency of migraine attacks. Methods The study is a parallel randomized controlled trial with two groups of intervention and control. 400 patients were evaluated. Eligible individuals, including those with episodic migraine headaches without aura between the ages of 18 and 60 years who did not receive preventive treatment beforehand, were enrolled. Also, patients did not receive any specific medications for other diseases. Among these, 100 people met the inclusion criteria and entered the study. These subjects were randomly assigned to one of the two groups. The intervention group received 25 mg of agomelatine daily and the control group received B1. In this study, the effect of agomelatine on the frequency and severity of attacks, mean monthly migraine days (MMD), and migraine disability assessment (MIDAS), were assessed. The study was triple-blind and after three months, a post-test was performed. Data were analyzed using SPSS software. Results A total of 100 patients were randomly assigned to either intervention or control groups. The prescriber physician and the data collector did not know about the allocation of patients to groups. Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in the headache frequency per month (t=-0.182, df = 98, p = 0.85), mean MMD (p = 0.17), headache severity (p = 0.076), and MIDAS (p = 0.091). After the study, there was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the headache frequency per month (p = 0.009), and mean of MMD (p = 0.025). Introduction: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between gender schemas and social adjustment of male and female high school students in Joyem city.Methods: The research method is descriptive survey. They were selected as the sample size with Cochran's formula and simple random sampling method. The research instrument was Bam Gender Schema Questionnaire (1976) and California Social Adjustment Questionnaire Thorpe et al. (1936) which had good validity and reliability. .Results: The results of analysis of variance in relation to social adjustment and gender maps show that (f = 10.48) is significant, also The results of two-way analysis of variance showed that the rate of social adjustment between the two sexes in gender maps (f = 583.18) was significant. The result of independent t-test to evaluate the level of social adjustment in male and female students showed that the obtained t is equal to (3.35) is significant. The results of chi-square test to examine the relationship between social adjustment and gender maps in female students showed that the chi-square obtained was not equal to 7 significant. The results of chi-square test to investigate the relationship between social adjustment and gender maps of male students showed that the chi-square obtained was not significant equal to 1.81. According to what the results showed, there is a relationship between gender schemas and social adjustment of male and female students. Therefore, modifying or strengthening gender schemas is important to achieve social adjustment of students.

Companies have different considerations for using smoothing in their financial statements, including annual general meeting, auditing, Regulatory and Supervisory institutions and shareholders requirements. Smoothing is done based on the various possible and feasible choices in identifying company’s incomes, costs, expenses, assets and liabilities. Smoothing can affect credit scoring models reliability, it can cause to providing/not providing facilities to a non-worthy/worthy organization orderly, which are both known as decision errors and are reported as “type I” and “type II” errors, which are very important for Banks Loan portfolio. This paper investigates this issue for the first time in credit scoring studies on the authors knowledge and searches. The data of companies associated with a major Asian Bank are first applied using logistic regression. Different smoothing scenarios are tested, using wilcoxon statistic indicated that traditional credit scoring models have significant errors when smoothing procedures have more than 20% change in adjusting company’s financial statements and balance sheets parameters.

Abstract Regarding the increasing production from unconventional reservoirs, especially shale reservoirs, it is essential to determine appropriate drilling fluid in drilling operations to have maximum efficiency. Selective performance of drilling fluids may increase the formation penetration rate and increase the drilling efficiency. This paper compares the three types of drilling fluids to compare their rheological properties and provide the best drilling fluid composition for shale stabilization. This paper can bring reliable experimental results for petroleum industries, especially drilling operations, to reduce the formation damage and shale instabilities in subsurface formations. To perform the tests under the same conditions, the formulation of all samples is the same in terms of both utilized polymers to determine the effect of other compositions in selected drilling fluids. For the silicate drilling fluid, since silicates perform well at higher pH (potential of hydrogen), the pH of the silicate drilling fluid is increased to 11 by the addition of sodium hydroxide (NaOH). The lowest decrease in fluid viscosity is related to silicate fluids, indicating the more excellent thermal stability of these types of drilling fluid than glycol and potassium chloride (KCl). Plastic viscosity (PV) is about 20 cP for silicate drilling fluids, while it has the minimum value for glycol drilling fluids after heating. It is about 7.5 cP. Apparent viscosity (AV) is about 23 cP for silicate drilling fluids, while it has the minimum value for glycol drilling fluids after heating. It is about 11 cP. The yield point (YP) before heating is almost the same for different fluids, but after heating the drilling fluids, the reflux point for silicate and glycol drilling fluids is significantly reduced. The yield point is about 6.5 Ib/100ft2 for silicate drilling fluids, while it has the maximum value for glycol drilling fluids after heating. It is about 8 Ib/100ft2.

Credit risk is one of the most important risks which banks and financial organizations face. It is related to unpaid and delayed installments. Banks evaluate their customers' credit in order to prevent this hazard. Development banks, which are the focus of this research, fund facilities based on working capital, so customers sometimes do fraud in declaring working capital. Considering fraud consequences and making a credit scoring model with sensitivity to fraud are the main aims of this research. The statistical population of this research includes companies who have referred to branches of an Iranian Bank. This research includes 55 financial and non-financial variables based on the credit scoring model. In the first step, fraudulent companies have been realized. Finally, in order to offer an optimized and sustainable model through merging machine learning methods and reporting performance evaluation indicators, the impacts of fraud have been considered.

The purpose of this study is to reduce the uncertainty of early stage startups success prediction and filling the gap of previous studies in the field, by identifying and evaluating the success variables and developing a novel business success failure (S/F) data mining classification prediction model for Iranian start-ups. For this purpose, the paper is seeking to extend Bill Gross and Robert Lussier S/F prediction model variables and algorithms in a new context of Iranian start-ups which starts from accelerators in order to build a new S/F prediction model. A sample of 161 Iranian start-ups which are based in accelerators from 2013 to 2018 is applied and 39 variables are extracted from the literature and organized in five groups. Then the sample is fed into six well-known classification algorithms. Two staged stacking as a classification model is the best performer among all other six classification based S/F prediction models and it can predict binary dependent variable of success or failure with accuracy of 89% on average. Also finding shows that “starting from Accelerators”, “creativity and problem solving ability of founders”, “fist mover advantage” and “amount of seed investment” are the four most important variables which affects the start-ups success and the other 15 variables are less important.

US-7 synovitis scores in GSUS and PDUS were significantly correlated with DAS28 (P=0.02, r=0.38 and P=0.003, r=0.48, respectively). US-9 synovitis scores in GSUS and PDUS were also significantly correlated with DAS28 (P=0.003, r=0.49 and P=0.006, r=0.45, respectively). The synovitis score measured by GSUS was significantly correlated with the GSUS knee synovial score (P=0.01, r=0.42). Conclusion: Ultrasound assessment of large joints such as knees can be an effective approach to determining RA severity. However, it can be proposed that adding more involved joints into the sonographic assessment does not necessarily provide a better clinical correlation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Choice theory addresses human behavior by emphasizing accountability in meeting basic needs. The purpose of this paper is to apply this psychological approach to the comparative study of symbolic stories. “Jonathan Livingston Seagull” by Richard Bach (1936) and Manteq-Al-Tair by Attar reveal one of the highest humanitarian concerns, the truth. The present paper, using a descriptive-analytical method, shows that these works share the same aspects of symbolic concepts. Sarvak Formation as the oil reservoir with the most hydrocarbon potential in Yaran oil field is of special importance. The present research was conducted to study the reservoir parameters of this Formation. For this purpose, petro-physical crude data was first prepared and using the Geolog6.7 software, a petro physical plot was drawn. Afterward, petro-physical properties of reservoir were done by modeling and using cross plots and logs, including porosity, permeability, lithology type, shale volume, water saturation and fractures analysis were investigated. Finally, with the adaptation of petro-physical parameters and other geological assessments from drilling cores, reservoir zoning and reservoir quality was analyzed. The obtained results showed that in the studied well there is a depth of 2600 to 2693 m of hydrocarbon potential friends. Effective porosity of the Sarvak Formation varies from 10 to 15%. Moreover, all of the investigated methods present of the prevailing lithology Carbonate, which can be on some outcrops of the shale layers, which has led to a decrease in reservoir quality in other zones.
