The Purification Process of oil palm was carried out using an adsorbent. One adsorbent that is usually used by industry is bleaching earth. This substance causes a new problem which is hazardous and toxic materials waste in the bleaching process of oil palm, namely spent bleaching earth (SBE). On the other hand, spent bleaching earth (SBE) has big potential because it has 20-40% of oil content and utilization of regeneration spent bleaching earth as a bleaching agent and adsorbent on liquid waste treatment. Regeneration of SBE isn't a new thing. Some research was done on many different methods of SBE regeneration, either using one method or combining 2 existing regeneration methods. Microwave-Assisted Extraction is a method that hasn't been widely used, but this method gives good results, besides there are still shortcomings in the process and the result. This research aims to know the effect of contact time and power of microwave on adsorbate that successfully desorbed. In the study, the operating conditions that released the most adsorbate were extraction with power at 450 watts and time of extraction at 40 minutes. In this condition, the concentration of adsorbate released was 17.33%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
