We investigate an efficient spatial enantioseparation method of chiral molecules in cyclic three-level systems coupled with three optical fields using optically induced forces. When the overall phase differs by π between two enantiomers, significant variations in the magnitude and direction of the optically induced forces are observed. The manipulation of the center of mass of chiral molecules in optical fields can be achieved through the induced gauge force, primarily generated from the variations in the chirality-dependent scalar potentials created by the three inhomogeneous laser fields. By appropriately configuring the system, we can completely separate the slow spatial and fast inner dynamics, making instantaneous eigenstates of the inner Hamiltonian independent of the transverse profiles of the laser beams. Compared to previous methods, which required adiabatic conditions to be satisfied, the proposed method overcomes the limitations of the adiabatic approximation by utilizing a specific system configuration. This allows for increased flexibility in the transverse profiles of the laser beams and relaxes the constraints on the velocity of chiral molecules, leading to significantly greater spatial separations achievable across a broader range of parameters. Sequential optimization is one of the promising approaches in identifying the optimal candidate(s) (molecules, reactants, drugs, etc.) with desired properties (reaction yield, selectivity, efficacy, etc.) from a large set of potential candidates, while minimizing the number of experiments required. However, the high dimensionality of the feature space (e.g., molecular descriptors) makes it often difficult to utilize the relevant features during the process of updating the set of candidates to be examined. In this article, we developed a new sequential optimization algorithm for molecular problems based on reinforcement learning, multi-armed linear bandit framework, and online, dynamic feature selections in which relevant molecular descriptors are updated along with the experiments. We also designed a stopping condition aimed to guarantee the reliability of the chosen candidate from the dataset pool. The developed algorithm was examined by comparing with Bayesian optimization (BO), using two synthetic datasets and two real datasets in which one dataset includes hydration free energy of molecules and another one includes a free energy difference between enantiomer products in chemical reaction. We found that the dynamic feature selection in representing the desired properties along the experiments provides a better performance (e.g., time required to find the best candidate and stop the experiment) as the overall trend and that our multi-armed linear bandit approach with a dynamic feature selection scheme outperforms the standard BO with fixed feature variables. In this study, we conducted successful experiments on ethylenediamine sulfate (EDS), an organic compound, to investigate its enantioselectivity in chiral crystallization. We employed optical trapping with circularly polarized laser beams, using a continuous wave laser at 1064 nm. By focusing the laser at the air–solution interface of a heavy water-saturated EDS solution, the formation of sub-micrometer-sized chiral EDS crystals was verified. Two generated enantiomorphs (d-crystal and l-crystal) were identified by the rotating analyzer method. The enantioselectivity in the chiral crystallization of EDS was assessed through 30 to 60 times experiments conducted under various conditions of laser powers and polarization modes, utilizing the count of generated crystals for each enantiomorph in the evaluation. Circularly polarized lasers at a specific power created an imbalance in the generation probability of the enantiomorphs, resulting in crystal enantiomeric excess values of 23% and −30%. The enantioselectivity mechanism was explored from two perspectives: refractive index differences of two enantiomorphs and 3D helical optical forces. Study of the thermodynamic mechanism was insufficient to explain the outcomes. Conversely, the 3D helical optical force mechanism revealed that the forces acting on EDS clusters in solution induced helical fluid motion, driving EDS nucleation, with the helicity of fluid motion determining the crystal's chirality. This approach will present new insights into chirality in industrial and research fields, with potential applications in regard to improving optical resolution and addressing the origin of homochirality. Mastering the manipulation of the electron spin plays a crucial role in comprehending the behavior of organic materials in several applications, such as asymmetric catalysis, chiroptical switches, and electronic devices. A promising avenue for achieving such precise control lies in the Chiral Induced Spin Selectivity (CISS) effect, where electrons with a favored spin exhibit preferential transport through chiral assemblies of specific handedness. Chiral supramolecular polymers emerge as excellent candidates for exploring the CISS effect due to their ability to modulate their helical structure through noncovalent interactions. In this context, systems capable of responding to external stimuli are particularly intriguing, sometimes even displaying chirality inversion. This study unveils spin selectivity in chiral supramolecular polymers, derived from single enantiomers, through scanning tunneling microscopy conducted in scanning tunneling spectroscopy mode. Following two distinct sample preparation protocols for each enantiomer, we generate supramolecular polymers with opposite handedness and specific spin transport characteristics. Our primary focus centers on chiral π-conjugated building blocks, with the aim of advancing novel systems that can inspire the organic spintronics community from a supramolecular chemistry level. The recent demonstration of the existence of an intimate relationship between the chiral structure of some materials and the spin polarization of electrons transmitted through them, what has been called the chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS) effect, is sparking interest in many related phenomena. One of the most notorious is the possibility of using magnetic materials to apply enantioselective interactions on chiral molecules and chemical reactions involving them. In this work, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy has been used to characterize the adsorption and growth kinetics of enantiopure organic molecules on magnetic (Co) and non-magnetic (Cu) substrates. While on these latter, no significant enantiosensitive effects are found, on spin-polarized, in-plane magnetized Co surfaces, the two enantiomers have been found to deposit differently. The observed effects have been interpreted as the result of one of the enantiomers being adsorbed in a transient, weakly bound physisorbed-like state with higher mobility due to limited, spin-selective charge transfer between it and the substrate. Enantiomers of a lipid erythro-sphingosine have been quantified with ≈4% accuracy by UV cold ion spectroscopy of their non-covalent complexes with a chiral aromatic molecule. The diastereomeric configuration of such complexes enables the quantification using just a single enantiomeric lipid standard and the identification of non-racemic solutions with no standards at all. Molecular docking is by far the most preferred approach in structure‐based drug design for its effectiveness to predict the scoring and posing of a given bioactive small molecule into the binding site of its pharmacological target. Herein, we present MzDOCK, a new GUI‐based pipeline for Windows operating system, designed with the intent of making molecular docking easier to use and higher reproducible even for inexperienced people. Chirality has an important role in the drug design because enantiomers may exhibit different bioactivity when interacting with macromolecules of a living organism. In our previous work, based on the analysis of a set of 100 chiral drugs, a relationship was established between the sign of chirality of enantiomers and their bioactivity. To understand the reasons for the observed patterns of chiral specificity of drug enantiomers, the interaction of 10 enantiomeric pairs of chiral drugs with the corresponding target proteins has been considered using molecular docking and further postprocessing by quantum chemistry methods. The data obtained confirm that the energetic aspect of the interaction between opposite enantiomers and target protein affects the enantiomer biological activity. In addition, the results show that molecular docking is able to distinguish between bioactive and inactive/less active enantiomers, although many docking programs are not accurate enough to distinguish a weak inhibitor from a strong one. Following changes in chirality can give access to relevant information on the function or reactivity of molecular systems. Time-resolved circular dichroism (TRCD) spectroscopy proves to be a valid tool to achieve this goal. Depending on the class of molecules, different temporal ranges, spanning from seconds to femtoseconds, need to be investigated to observe such chiroptical changes. Therefore, over the years, several approaches have been adopted to cover the timescale of interest, especially based on pump–probe schemes. Moreover, various theoretical approaches have been proposed to simulate and explain TRCD spectra, including linear and non-linear response methods as well as non-adiabatic molecular dynamics. In this review, an overview on both experimental and theoretical advances in the TRCD field is provided, together with selected applications. [Display omitted] Understanding the structure-function relationships encoded on chiral catalysts is important for investigating the fundamental principles of catalytic enantioselectivity. Herein, the synthesis and self-assembly of naphthalene substituted bis - l / d -histidine amphiphiles (bis - l / d - NapHis) in DMF/water solution mixture is reported. The resulting supramolecular assemblies featuring well-defined P/M nanoribbons (NRs). With combination of the (P/M)-NR and metal ion catalytic centers (M n+ = Co2+, Cu2+, Fe3+), the (P)-NR-M n+ as chiral supramolecular catalysts show catalytic preference to 3,4-dihydroxy- S -phenylalanine (S -DOPA) oxidation while the (M)-NR-M n+ show enantioselective bias to R -DOPA oxidation. In contrast, their monomeric counterparts bis - l / d - NapHis-M n+ display an inverse and dramatically lower catalytic selectivity in the R/S -DOPA oxidation. Among them, the Co2+-coordinated supramolecular nanostructures show the highest catalytic efficiency and enantioselectivity (select factor up to 2.70), while the Fe3+-coordinated monomeric ones show nearly racemic products. Analysis of the kinetic results suggests that the synergistic effect between metal ions and the chiral supramolecular NRs can significantly regulate the enantioselective catalytic activity, while the metal ion-mediated monomeric bis - l / d - NapHis were less active. The studies on association constants and activation energies reveal the difference in catalytic efficiency and enantioselectivity resulting from the different energy barriers and binding affinities existed between the chiral molecular/supramolecular structures and R/S -DOPA enantiomers. This work clarifies the correlation between chiral molecular/supramolecular structures and enantioselective catalytic activity, shedding new light on the rational design of chiral catalysts with outstanding enantioselectivity. Given the inherent complexities of bioanalysis, the role of incurred sample reanalysis (ISR) is increasingly appreciated in regulatory bioanalysis. Incurred sample reanalysis has evolved as an integral part of an assay to ensure method reproducibility. The current regulatory ISR guidelines do not provide clarity regarding ISR assessment for chiral drugs comprising enantiomers. Because chiral assays evaluate two enantiomers, there are additional complexities associated with the ISR data generation and interpretation. Based on the current literature, the practices for conducting ISR in chiral methods were reviewed and assessed. While ISR was conducted in chiral methods for both enantiomers using the acceptance criteria prescribed for non‐chiral methods, there may be a need to streamline the nuances of ISR data interpretation and define the ISR requirements for chiral methods. The article provides perspectives on the ISR of enantiomeric drugs, including strategy development, by providing various hypothetical scenarios and possible considerations for defining ISR evaluation for chiral assays. The construction of chiral motifs containing nonadjacent stereocenters in an enantio‐ and diastereoselective manner has long been a challenging task in synthetic chemistry, especially with respect to their stereodivergent synthesis. Herein, we describe a protocol that enables the enantio‐ and diastereoselective construction of 1,5/1,7‐nonadjacent tetrasubstituted stereocenters through a Pd/Cu‐cocatalyzed Heck cascade reaction. Notably, a C=C bond relay strategy involving the shift of the π‐allyl palladium intermediate was successfully applied in the asymmetric construction of 1,7‐nonadjacent stereocenters. The current method allows for the efficient preparation of chiral molecules bearing two privileged scaffolds, oxindoles and non‐natural α‐amino acids, with good functional group tolerance. The full complement of the four stereoisomers of products bearing 1,5/1,7‐nonadjacent stereocenters could be readily accessed by a simple combination of two chiral metal catalysts with different enantiomers. The role of the structural similarity in the individual components on the self-assembly process of multi-component systems was studied by analysing the gelation properties of chiral multi-component gels with structurally similar (enantiomers) and non-similar donor or acceptor moieties. The gelation properties of the individual enantiomers, mixed enantiomers, and mixed chiral donor-acceptor compounds were analysed in various solvents. Analysis of the mechanical strength revealed that the mixed chiral gels were stronger compared to other gels in mesitylene; however, a reverse trend was observed for thermal stability. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the dried gels of the mixed enantiomeric and mixed chiral donor-acceptor gels showed morphological changes indicating different self-assembly modes. Powder X-ray analysis revealed that a co-assembled mode was observed for the mixed gels with structurally similar components. However, a self-sorting nature was observed for the mixed chiral donor-acceptor gel, and the charge transfer interaction between the donor and acceptor played a major role in the self-assembly of these mixed gels. We performed computational studies to predict the electronic distribution in the individual chiral molecules. These results demonstrate that altering the structural features of the individual components is one of the key parameters that control the self-assembly modes of multi-component systems. Chiral self‐discrimination plays a critical role in supramolecular chemistry and materials science. However, an ideal strategy for achieving chiral self‐discrimination remains elusive due to the inevitable nonspecific binding of incorrect enantiomers, and insufficient intrinsic optical activity of chiral molecules. Herein, a novel 1,1′‐binaphthol (BINOL) derivative with an imide group fused at the peri‐position of one naphthol scaffold is developed, which combines the dual functionalities of aggregation‐induced emission characteristic of BINOLs, and high emission of 1,8‐naphthalimides. The multiple molecular recognition between two hydroxyl groups in BINOL units and two carbonyl groups in 1,8‐naphthalimide moieties endows the precise chiral self‐discrimination behaviors. As expected, the homochiral aggregates exhibit reversible phase transitions, switching from non‐emission to bright green emission upon absorption and desorption of methanol vapor. In contrast, the heterochiral conglomerates exhibit irreversible yellow emission changes due to the impact of chiral self‐discrimination. Such chiral self‐discrimination‐induced luminescence vapochromism can be further applied to high‐level anti‐counterfeiting and data encryption. Circumventing the issues of conventional stereocomplexation of preformed polymers, herein, we synthesize two enantiopure polymers of opposite chirality simultaneously and in situ as their 1:1 stereocomplex via topochemical polymerization. We design and synthesize an inositol-based achiral monomer for topochemical ene-azide cycloaddition (TEAC) polymerization. In the crystal, the monomer exhibits conformational enantiomerism, and its conformational enantiomers are self-sorted in an arrangement for TEAC polymerization to yield two enantiopure polymers of opposite chirality. Upon heating the monomer crystals, each self-sorted set of conformational enantiomers undergoes regio- and stereospecific polymerization in a single-crystal-to-single-crystal fashion, generating two 1, 4-triazolinyl-linked polymers of opposite chirality simultaneously. The new chiral carbons in all the triazoline rings of a particular polymer chain have the same absolute configuration. These homochiral polymer strands align parallelly, forming a layer, and such enantiopure layers of opposite chirality stack alternately, forming a perfect 1:1 stereocomplex, which we confirmed using single-crystal XRD analysis. Stereocomplexation is a powerful strategy for improving polymer properties but inefficient complexation remains a major challenge in stereocomplex formation. The enantiomerically pure Schiff base ligands H2L‐S and H2L‐R yield chiral heterometallic dodecanuclear complexes of the form [Cu8Ln4(OH)8(OMe)4(O2CBut)8(L‐S or L‐R)4(H2O)4] where LnIII=Gd (1S), Tb (2S), Dy (3S, 3R), Ho (4S, 4R), Er (5S) or Y (6S, 6R) and H2L=(S or R)‐2‐{[(1‐hydroxypropan‐2‐yl)imino]methyl}‐6‐methoxyphenol. The complexes are isomorphous and crystallize in the non‐centrosymmetric polar space group C2 in enantiomeric conformation. The chirality of the Schiff base ligands originates from the respective S‐ or R‐ enantiomer of 2‐aminopropan‐1‐ol, is imparted to the complexes and to the crystals that belong to non‐centrosymmetric space group. The chirality and enantiomeric conformation of all complexes are retained in dmso solutions as confirmed by Circular Dichroism spectra which consist of mirror images, expected for enantiomeric pairs. All complexes consist of four distorted cubane‐like subunits [Cu2Ln2(μ3‐OH)2(μ3‐OMe)(μ3‐OR)], which share the LnIII ions and result in a cyclic distorted tetragonal arrangement; each edge of the {LnIII4} quadrilateral is occupied by two μ‐OH− ions that further bridge to a CuII ion. Magnetic susceptibility measurements revealed ferromagnetic interactions for 3S with LnIII=Dy and antiferromagnetic interactions for all other complexes. In this study, the home-made grape wine was used to study the selective degradation behavior of hexaconazole enantiomers and their effects on the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae during wine processing. A liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) was used to determine the residue levels of hexaconazole enantiomers in wine samples at different fermentation stages, and the quantity of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in wine samples were detected by flat colony counting method. The results showed that the average recoveries of hexaconazole were in the range of 79%-111% with the relative standard deviations (RSD) of 4%-28% for the established method. A gradual decrease in hexaconazole residues was observed during the wine process, and no significant differences were found in degradation behavior of the two enantiomers. The degradation rates of (+)-hexaconazole and (-)- hexaconazole were 41.2% and 45.9% with half-lives of 13.97 and 12.38 d, respectively. The contents of Saccharomyces cerevisiae in hexaconazole-treated samples significantly decreased compared to the control group, and the quantity ratio reached a maximum of 2.73∶1 at 8 days after the treatment. In summary, wine processing effectively reduced the residues of hexaconazole while it inhibited the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. A new enantioselective open-tubular capillary electrochromatography (OT-CEC) was developed employing β-cyclodextrin covalent organic frameworks (β-CD COFs) conjugated gold-poly glycidyl methacrylate nanoparticles (Au-PGMA NPs) as a stationary phase. The resulting coating layer on the inner wall of the fabricated capillary column was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and electroosmotic flow (EOF) experiments. The performance of the fabricated capillary column was evaluated by CEC using enantiomers of seven model analytes, including two proton pump inhibitors (PPIs, omeprazole and tenatoprazole), three amino acids (AAs, tyrosine, phenylalanine, and tryptophan), and two fluoroquinolones (FQs, gatifloxacin and sparfloxacin). The influences of coating time, buffer concentration, buffer pH, and applied voltage on enantioseparation were investigated to obtain satisfactory enantioselectivity. In the optimum conditions, the enantiomers of seven analytes were fully resolved within 10 min with high resolutions of 3.03 to 5.25. The inter- to intra-day and column-to-column repeatabilities of the fabricated capillary column were lower than 4.26% RSD. Furthermore, molecular docking studies were performed based on the chiral fabricated column and as ligand isomers of analytes using Auto Dock Tools. Two pairs of new isobenzofuranone derivative enantiomers, (±)-penicifurans E (1) and (±)-penicifurans F (2), together with four know compounds (3–6) were isolated from the solid fermentation of Penicillium canescens DWS225. The structures of these enantiomers were elucidated by extensive NMR spectroscopic data, and their absolute configurations were assigned by the experimental and calculated ECD data. Developing efficient blue/deep‐blue circularly polarized organic light‐emitting diodes (CP‐OLEDs) with small efficiency roll‐off remains a great challenge for wide color gamut and high contrast 3D displays. Here, two pairs of chiral stable enantiomers, (R/S)‐PPI‐OBN‐CN and (R/S)‐PyI‐OBN‐CN, composed of imidazole derivatives phenanthroimidazole (PPI) and pyrenoimidazole (PyI) donors, and chiral group of (R/S)‐octahydro‐binaphthol (OBN‐CN) acceptor are designed. These new blue/deep‐blue molecular architectures exhibit excellent thermal and electrochemical stabilities, hybrid local and charge transfer (HLCT) excited state, and clear CPL characteristics with dissymmetry factors (|gPL|) of 1.57 × 10−3/2.49 × 10−3 in the neat films. Moreover, the CP‐OLEDs based on (R/S)‐PPI‐OBN‐CN and (R/S)‐PyI‐OBN‐CN exhibit the deep‐blue/pure‐blue emission with the CIE coordinates of (0.15, 0.08) and (0.15, 0.14), the maximum external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) of 7.25% and 8.11% and very small efficiency roll‐offs of 17.6% and 1.8% at the luminescence of 1000 cd m−2, respectively. Even when the brightness is increased to 10000 cd m−2, (R/S)‐PyI‐OBN‐CN‐based device could still maintain as high as 6.68%. Obvious circularly polarized electroluminescence (CPEL) activities with the EL dissymmetry factors (gEL) of +1.54 × 10−3/−1.63 × 10−3 and +1.95 × 10−3/−1.72 × 10−3 are also recorded. The precise synthesis of chiral small molecules is a core research area in chemical science. Deracemization, an appealing technology that converts racemate to its single enantiomer with the same constitution in theoretical 100 % yield, appears as a straightforward and efficient strategy in asymmetric synthesis. A cascading redox sequence was the most employed approach to drive deracemization through destroy and recreate the stereocenter in a given molecule. This review mainly focuses on the progress of redox deracemization driven by respective biocatalysis and chemo–catalysis. Chiral recognition of enantiomers with identical mirror-symmetric molecular structures is important for the analysis of biomolecules, and it conventionally relies on stereoselective interactions in chiral chemical environments. Here, we develop a magneto-electrochemical method for the enhanced detection of chiral amino acids (AAs), that combines the advantages of the high sensitivity of electrochemiluminescent (ECL) biosensors and chirality-induced effects under a magnetic field. The ECL difference between L - and D -enantiomers can be amplified over 35-fold under a field of 3.5 kG, and the chiral discrimination can be achieved in dilute AA solutions down to the nM level. The field-dependent ECL and chronocoulometry measurements suggest that chiral AAs can lock the spins on their radicals and thus enlarge the ECL change under applied magnetic fields (magneto-ECL, MECL), which explains the field-enhanced chiral discrimination of AA enantiomers. Finally, a detailed protocol is demonstrated for the identification of unknown AA solutions, in which the species, chirality and concentration of AAs can be determined simultaneously from the 2D plots of the ECL and MECL results. Sixteen alkaloid compounds were isolated from the dried rhizomes of P. zanlanscianense, including a pair of new enantiomers (R/S)-7'-ethoxy-trans-p-couma-royltyramine (1a/1b) and 14 known compounds (2-14) isolated from this plant for the first time. The structures of new compounds were identified by IR, NMR and MS spectroscopic analysis, and their absolute configurations were determined by comparison of the experimental and calculated ECD data. It is often difficult to separate and identify complex components using a single column in the different chromatographic techniques. The serial coupling of columns consists in connecting two or more columns with different separation characteristics one after the other, aiming to improve separation performances. The process must simply improve the shortcomings of a specific limited selective performance and low separation degree obtained using a single column in particular cases. Serial coupling must allow for separations that could not be achieved using a single column in these conditions. In this paper, the use of tandem columns in high performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, and supercritical fluid chromatography were considered for separations of proteins, metabolites, pharmaceutical, polar compounds, volatile components, chiral enantiomers, lipids, and carotenoids. Chirality, a fundamental principle in chemistry, biology, and medicine, is prevalent in nature and in organisms. Chiral molecules, such as DNA, RNA, and proteins, are crucial in biomolecular synthesis, as well as in the development of functional materials. Among these, 1,1′‐binaphthyl‐2,2′‐diol (BINOL) stands out for its stable chiral configuration, versatile functionality, and commercial availability. BINOL is widely employed in asymmetric catalysis and chiral materials. This review mainly focuses on recent research over the past five years concerning the use of BINOL derivatives for constructing chiral macrocycles and cages. Ibuprofen is a well-known and broadly used, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and painkiller medicine. Ibuprofen is a chiral compound, and its two isomers have different biological effects, therefore, their chiral separation is necessary. Ibuprofen and its derivatives were used as model compounds to establish transportable structure chiral selectivity relationships. Chiral selectors were permethylated α-, β-, and γ-cyclodextrins containing gas chromatographic stationary phases. The chiral selectivity of ibuprofen as a free acid and its various alkyl esters (methyl, ethyl, propyl, isopropyl, butyl, isobutyl, and isoamyl esters) derivatives were tested at different temperatures. Every tested stationary phase was capable of the chiral separations of ibuprofen in its free acid form. The less strong included S optical isomers eluted before R optical isomers in every separate case. The results offer to draw transportable guidelines for the chiral selectivity vs. analyte structures. It was recognized that the S isomers of free ibuprofen acid showed an overloading phenomenon, but the R isomer did not. The results were supported by molecular modeling studies. Combining chirality with ferromagnetism is challenging in organic materials and may bring potential application for the cross-integration of multiple disciplines. In this work, we achieved the intrinsic coexistence of chirality and spontaneous spin polarization in the diblock copolymers, where left-handed and right-handed circularly polarized lights present tunability on both the circular dichroism and spin polarization. Without electron dependence of transport in chiral copolymer, chirality is still coupled with spin. The phenomenon observed here is not the traditional chirality induced spin selectivity effect. Moreover, the electric field could also effectively tune the chirality dependence of circular dichroism to further affect the magnitude of spin polarization. Thus, a strong relationship between the chirality and spin polarization is formed in chiral copolymers. In addition, because of the different molecular packing for chiral enantiomers, electron–phonon coupling strengths are different to lead to a difference in spin polarization. Overall, the properties of chirality, spontaneous spin polarization, and photon-chirality-spin coupling are developed and studied, which effectively promotes the ability of potential applications of chiral copolymers. Chirality is an important aspect of nature, and numerous macroscopic methods have been developed to understand and control chirality. For the chiral tertiary amines, their flexible flipping process makes it possible to achieve high chiral controllability without bond formation and breaking. Here, we present a type of stable chiral singlemolecule devices formed by tertiary amines, using graphene-molecule-graphene single-molecule junctions. These single-molecule devices allow real-time, in situ, and long-time measurements of the flipping process of an individual chiral nitrogen center with high temporal resolution. Temperature- and bias voltage-dependent experiments, along with theoretical investigations, revealed diverse chiral intermediates, indicating the regulation of the flipping dynamics by energy-related factors. Angle-dependent measurements further demonstrated efficient enrichment of chiral states using linearly polarized light by a symmetry-related factor. This approach offers a reliable means for understanding the chirality's origin, elucidating microscopic chirality regulation mechanisms, and aiding in the design of effective drugs. In this work, a modified suspension polymerization method was developed to synthesize cellulose derivative hybrid polydivinylbenzene (PDVB) microspheres with particle sizes of 7–12 μm. Cellulose tris(4-methylbenzoate) (CTMB) and cellulose tris(3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamate) (CDMPC) hybrid PDVB were incorporated and well distributed in the microspheres. The chiral recognition ability of the chiral stationary phases (CSP) was evaluated by chiral high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separation of 38 enantiomers with widely varied chemical structures. The influence of pore size and the loading of chiral selectors were investigated. The chiral recognition ability of the columns is comparable to that of the CHIRALCEL® OD column and CHIRALCEL® OJ column. For some enantiomers, the chiral selectivity of the prepared columns is even better than CHIRALPAK®IB column and CHIRALPAK®IJ column. In addition, the columns showed excellent stability in the basic mobile phase and organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran (THF) and ethyl acetate (EA). An electrochemical sensor based on porous aromatic cages was reported, which can achieve chiral sensing of DOPA enantiomers. The prepared sensor can achieve a recognition efficiency of up to 2.6 for DOPA enantiomers. The dielectric properties of synclinic (ferroelectric SmC*) and anticlinic (antiferroelectric SmCA*) smectic liquid crystals composed of molecules of one chiral version (S) are presented and compared with properties of racemic mixture (R, S), showing SmC and SmCA phases. The racemic mixture completely loses its ferroelectric and antiferroelectric properties. Surprisingly, only one dielectric mode observed in the antiferroelectric SmCA* phase disappeared in the dielectric response of the racemic SmCA phase. Additionally, we observed that in the SmC phase, seen in the racemic mixture, the weak dielectric mode (named the X mode) is detected, which seems to be the continuation of the PL mode existing in the racemic SmCA. Moreover, this mode in the racemic SmC has nothing to do with the Goldstone mode, typical for the SmC* phase. This paper describes in detail the real and imaginary parts of dielectric permittivity in smectic phases for the enantiomer and racemate with and without a DC field, compares the properties of the X and PL modes, and discusses the full scheme of dielectric modes in enantiomer and racemate. [Display omitted] Chiral two-dimensional (2D) conductive polymers, encompassing chiral, 2D, flexible, and conductive properties, constitute a novel class of material that remains largely unexplored. The infusion of chirality into 2D conductive polymers taps into the unique characteristics associated with chirality, presenting opportunities to enhance or tailor the electronic, optical, and structural properties of materials for specific technological applications. In this study, we synthesized a chiral 2D PEDOT:PMo 11 V nanofilm through interfacial polymerization, effectively integrating a chiral monolayer, conductive polymer, and inorganic cluster. The inclusion of inorganic cluster serves to enhance the conductivity of the resulting chiral nanofilm. Furthermore, we demonstrated the chiral nanofilm as a capable electrochemical sensor for detecting drug enantiomers. 2-Keto-3-deoxy-galactonate (KDGal) serves as a pivotal metabolic intermediate within both the fungal d-galacturonate pathway, which is integral to pectin catabolism, and the bacterial DeLey-Doudoroff pathway for d-galactose catabolism. The presence of KDGal enantiomers, l-KDGal and d-KDGal, varies across these pathways. Fungal pathways generate l-KDGal through the reduction and dehydration of d-galacturonate, whereas bacterial pathways produce d-KDGal through the oxidation and dehydration of d-galactose. Two distinct catabolic routes further metabolize KDGal: a nonphosphorolytic pathway that employs aldolase and a phosphorolytic pathway involving kinase and aldolase. Recent findings have revealed that l-KDGal, identified in the bacterial catabolism of 3,6-anhydro-l-galactose, a major component of red seaweeds, is also catabolized by Escherichia coli, which is traditionally known to be catabolized by specific fungal species, such as Trichoderma reesei. Furthermore, the potential industrial applications of KDGal and its derivatives, such as pyruvate and d- and l-glyceraldehyde, are underscored by their significant biological functions. This review comprehensively outlines the catabolism of l-KDGal and d-KDGal across different biological systems, highlights stereospecific methods for discriminating between enantiomers, and explores industrial application prospects for producing KDGal enantiomers. Using palladium-catalyzed arylation of (S)-2,2′-diamino-1,1′-binaphthalene (BINAM) with the halogen derivatives of naphthalene, anthracene, and anthraquinone, the corresponding N,N′-diaryl derivatives were synthesized. The dependence of the yields of the compounds on the structure of the initial halogen derivatives was shown. The synthesized compounds were studied in fluorescent enantioselective detection of amino alcohols. The synthesized derivatives demonstrate a response in the case of complex formation with some amino alcohols, but the response is most pronounced for the derivative with anthraquinone substituents. This detector can recognize enantiomers of leucinol, 2-phenylglycinol, and prolinol by different changes in the fluorescence enhancement in the presence of opposite optical isomers. Structure formation in the chitosan + L-(D-)aspartic acid + water system during the spontaneous formation of polymer nanoparticles is discussed. The molar electric conductivity of chitosan L-(D-)asparaginate solutions in Kohlrausch coordinates decreases with increasing polymer concentration due to a decrease in the mobility of the ions of the acid residue under the action of the electrostatic potential of the macroion. The concentration dependence of the specific electric conductivity and the hydrodynamic parameters indicate partial compensation of the charges of macrochains through the formation of –anion ion pairs. The discovered tendencies are a complex function of association of counterions with the polycation, leading to phase segregation of the polymer substance at the nanoparticle level. The counterionic condensation effects and the diameter of the formed nanoparticles are largely determined by the [acid] : [~–NH2] molar ratio and the enantiomeric form of the acid residue. An analytic gradient approach for the computation of derivatives of parity-violating (PV) potentials with respect to displacements of the nuclei in chiral molecules is described and implemented within a quasirelativistic mean-field framework. Calculated PV potential gradients are utilized for estimating PV frequency splittings between enantiomers in rotational and vibrational spectra of four chiral polyhalomethanes, i.e., CHBrClF, CHClFI, CHBrFI, and CHAtFI. Values calculated within the single-mode approximation for frequency shifts agree well with previously reported theoretical values. The influence of non-separable anharmonic effects (multi-mode effects) on vibrational frequency shifts, which are readily accessible with the present analytic derivative approach, is estimated for the C–F stretching fundamental of all four molecules and computed for each of the fundamentals in CHBrClF and CHAtFI. Porous frameworks constructed via noncovalent interactions show wide potential in molecular separation and gas adsorption. However, it remains a major challenge to prepare these materials from low-symmetry molecular building blocks. Herein, we report a facile strategy to fabricate noncovalent porous crystals through modular self-assembly of a low-symmetry helicene racemate. The P and M enantiomers in the racemate first stack into right- and left-handed triangular prisms, respectively, and subsequently the two types of prisms alternatively stack together into a hexagonal network with one-dimensional channels with a diameter of 14.5 Å. Remarkably, the framework reveals high stability upon heating to 275 °C, majorly due to the abundant π-interactions between the complementarily engaged helicene building blocks. Such porous framework can be readily prepared by fast rotary evaporation, and is easy to recycle and repeatedly reform. The refined porous structure and enriched π-conjugation also favor the selective adsorption of a series of small molecules. Chiral Metal‐Organic Frameworks (CMOFs) is a kind of material with great application value in recent years. Formed by the coordination of metal ions or metal clusters with organic ligands. It has ordered and adjustable pores, multi‐dimensional network structure, large specific surface area and excellent adsorption properties. This material structure combines the properties of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) with the chiral properties of chiral molecules. It has great advantages in catalysis, adsorption, separation and other fields. Therefore, it has a wide range of applications in chemistry, biology, medicine and materials science. In this paper, various synthesis strategies and preparation methods of chiral metal‐organic frameworks are reviewed from different perspectives, and the advantages of each method are analyzed. In addition, the applications of chiral metal‐organic framework materials in enantiomer recognition and separation, circular polarization luminescence and asymmetric catalysis are systematically summarized, and the corresponding mechanisms are discussed. Enantioseparation of nineteen liquid crystalline racemic mixtures obtained based on (R,S)-2-octanol was studied in reversed-phase mode on an amylose tris(3-chloro-5-methylphenylcarbamate) (ReproSil Chiral-MIG) and a cellulose tris(3,5-dichlorophenylcarbamate) (ReproSil Chiral-MIC). These polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phase (CSP) columns for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) were highly effective in recognizing isomers of minor structural differences. The mobile phase (MP), which consists of acetonitrile (ACN)/water (H2O) at different volume ratios, was used. The mobile phases were pumped at a flow rate of 0.3, 0.5, or 1 mL·min−1 with a column temperature of 25 °C, using a UV detector at 254 nm. The order of the elution was also determined. The chromatographic parameters, such as resolution (Rs), selectivity (α), and the number of theoretical plates, i.e., column efficiency (N), were determined. The polysaccharide-based CSP columns have unique advantages in separation technology, and this study has shown the potential usefulness of the CSP columns in separating liquid crystalline racemic mixtures belonging to the same homologous series. In this study, the enantioselectivity of β‐cyclodextrin and its derivatives towards propranolol enantiomers are investigated by molecular dynamic (MD) simulations. β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) have previously been shown to be able to recognize propranolol (PRP) enantiomers. To improve upon the enantioselectivity of β‐cyclodextrin, we propose the use of an ionic‐liquid‐modified‐β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD‐IL). β‐CD‐IL was found to be able to complex R and S propranolol enantiomers with differing binding energies. The molecular docking study reveals that the ionic liquid chain attached to the β‐CD molecule has significant interaction with propranolol. The formation of the most stable complex occurred between (S)‐β‐CD‐IL and (S)‐propranolol with an energy of −5.80 kcal/mol. This is attributed to the formation of a hydrogen bond between the oxygen of the propranolol and the hydrogen on the primary rim of the (S)‐β‐CD‐IL cavity. This interaction is not detected in other complexes. The root mean‐squared fluctuation (RMSF) value indicates that the NH group is the most flexible molecular fragment, followed by the aromatic group. The precise recognition and sensing of steroids, a type of vital biomolecules, hold immense practical value across various domains. In this study, we introduced corral[4]BINOLs (C[4]BINOLs), a pair of enantiomeric conjugated deep‐cavity hosts, as novel synthetic receptors for binding steroids. Due to the strong hydrophobic effect of their deep nonpolar, chiral cavities, the two enantiomers of C[4]BINOLs demonstrated exceptionally high recognition affinities (up to 1012 M−1) for 16 important steroidal compounds as well as good enantioselectiviy (up to 15.5) in aqueous solutions, establishing them as the most potent known steroid receptors. Harnessing their ultrahigh affinity, remarkable enantioselectivity, and fluorescence emission properties, the two C[4]BINOL enantiomers were employed to compose a fluorescent sensor array which achieved discrimination and sensing of 16 structurally similar steroids at low concentrations. Dimers of anthra[1,2‐a]anthracene‐1‐yl units and its mesityl derivative were synthesized by Ni(0)‐mediated coupling of the corresponding chloro derivatives as new biaryls. The X‐ray analysis and DFT calculations revealed that two polycyclic aromatic units with nonplanar deformations took a twisted conformation about the single bond as a chiral axis. Enantiomers of the nonsubstituted compound were resolved by chiral HPLC, and the enantiopure samples showed intense Cotton effects at 321 nm in the circular dichroism (CD) spectra and emission bands at 449 nm in the circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) spectra with dissymmetry factor of |glum| 3.6×10−3. The absolute stereochemistry of this biaryl was determined by the theoretical calculation of CD spectrum by the time‐dependent DFT method. The barrier to enantiomerization was determined to be 108 kJ mol−1 at 298 K. The dynamic process proceeded via a stepwise mechanism involving the helical inversion of each aromatic unit and the rotation about the biaryl axis as analyzed by the DFT calculations. To recognize and determine clopidogrel enantiomers, a sensor system was developed based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with mesoporous Carbopack X carbon black and cyclopentadiene derivatives (1S)-2-cyclopent-2,4-dien-1-yl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptane, (1S,2S,4R)-2-cyclopent-1-en-1-yl-1-isopropyl-4-methylcyclohexane, and 9-[(1S,2S,5R)-2-isopropyl-5-methylcyclohexyl]-9H-fluorene. Because of the unique properties of Carbopack X, such as a large surface area and high conductivity, a mechanically stable and a sensitive sensor layer was obtained, which firmly retains chiral selector molecules on its surface. The morphological, electrochemical, and analytical properties of the obtained sensors were studied using scanning electron microscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Сlopidogrel enantiomers were determined in biological fluids, and linear dependences of oxidation peak currents on their concentration in solution were maintained for all sensors in the concentration range from 1 × 10–6 to 5 × 10–4 M. The sensors exhibited cross-sensitive properties, enabling them to be combined into a sensor array with high enantioselectivity and sensitivity towards clopidogrel enantiomers. Using the proposed sensor array system increases the probability of correctly identifying samples compared to individual sensors. In all cases, the concentration of R-clopidogrel in a mixture was determined correctly with a relative standard deviation not exceeded 9% and recovery ranged from 96 to 102%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Obtaining optically pure compounds in an eco‐friendly and cost‐efficient manner plays an important role in human health and pharmaceutical industry. Racemic separation using multistage stereoselective liquid–liquid extraction has become one of the most practical and effective approach to access homochiral enantiomers. Currently, chiral ionic liquids (CILs) with structural designability have become a promising chiral additive and enable them as adjustable candidates for racemic separation. Herein, a high‐effective stereoselective liquid–liquid extraction process composed of imidazolium cations and amino acid‐derived anions as the chiral additive was established for racemic 2‐cyclohexylmandelic acid (CHMA) separation. We have systematically investigated the choice of organic solvent, concentration of CIL, extraction temperature, and the pH of aqueous phase. For three‐stage stereoselective extraction, the maximum enantiomeric excess (e.e.) for CHMA was reached up to 40.6%. Furthermore, the mechanism of steric effect and stereoselective capacity between the CILs and racemic CHMA was discussed and simulated. Illegal amphetamine is usually composed of a racemic mixture of the two enantiomers (S)- and (R)-amphetamine. However, when amphetamine is used in medical treatment, the more potent (S)-amphetamine enantiomer is used. Enantiomer-specific analysis of (S)- and (R)-amphetamine is therefore used to separate legal medical use from illegal recreational use. The aim of the present study was to describe our experience with enantiomer-specific analysis of amphetamine in urine and oral fluid, as well as blood, and examine whether the distribution of the two enantiomers seems to be the same in different matrices. We investigated 1,722 urine samples and 1,977 oral fluid samples from prison inmates, and 652 blood samples from suspected drugged drivers, where prescription of amphetamine was reported. Analyses were performed using ultra high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC–MS-MS). The enantiomer separation was achieved by using a chiral column, and results from the method validation are reported. Samples containing <60% (S)-amphetamine were interpreted as representing illegal use of amphetamine. The distribution of the two enantiomers was compared between different matrices. In urine and oral fluid, the mean amount of (S)-amphetamine was 45.2 and 43.7%, respectively, while in blood, the mean amount of (S)-amphetamine was 45.8%. There was no statistically significant difference in the amount of (S)-amphetamine between urine and oral fluid samples and between urine and blood samples, but the difference was significant in blood compared to oral fluid samples (P  < 0.001). Comparison of urine and oral fluid between similar populations indicated that enantiomers of amphetamine can be interpreted in the same way, although marginally higher amounts of (R)-amphetamine may occur in oral fluid. Oral fluid, having several advantages, especially during collection, could be a preferred matrix in testing for illegal amphetamine intake in users of medical amphetamine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Chiral pesticide enantiomers often show different bioactivity in controlling harmful organisms. It is of great significance to pay attention to the selective activity of chiral pesticide enantiomers to promote the reduction and efficiency of pesticides and to develop green agriculture. In this paper, according to the research status of enantioselective activity of chiral pesticides, the research on enantioselective activity mechanism is summarized into two aspects: On the one hand, computer simulation technology is used to analyze the binding ability between enantiomers and active sites of target molecules, and a few of them have also carried out biological experiments; on the other hand, the study explored the differences in absorption, transportation and metabolism of chiral pesticide enantiomers in biological systems by means of radioisotope tracing and quantitative analysis of metabolites. In this review, the concepts of quantum tunneling and parity violation are introduced in the context of chiral molecules. A particle moving in a double well potential provides a good model to study the behavior of chiral molecules, where the left well and right well represent the L and R enantiomers, respectively. If the model considers the quantum behavior of matter, the concept of quantum tunneling emerges, giving place to stereomutation dynamics between left- and right-handed chiral molecules. Parity-violating interactions, like the electroweak one, can be also considered, making possible the existence of an energy difference between the L and R enantiomers, the so-called parity-violating energy difference (PVED). Here we provide a brief account of some theoretical methods usually employed to calculate this PVED, also commenting on relevant experiments devoted to experimentally detect the aforementioned PVED in chiral molecules.
