This presentation describes the development and analysis of a corpus of the early Irish-language novel: one that strengthens existing resources for the comparative computational analysis of Europe's multilingual literary history and clears a path for dedicated computational analysis of the early novel tradition in Irish.

In this poster, researchers from different projects present the integration of existingTEI-encoded corpora into a repository and analysis infrastructure, as well as the benefits of this integration. The focus is not on resource creation (corpus design or text encoding), but on infrastructure integration, dissemination and re-use of existing resources. The NFDI consortium Text+ seeks the integration of already existing resources, for example through the publication of corpora in repositories. We present the publication of the corpora of the European Literary Text Collection in the TextGrid Repository, discuss their characteristics and the advantages of this integration. The poster was accepted and presented at the DH2023 conference in Graz.

2 86 60 21 M50 М53 This paper presents an example of integration of Wikidata with digital libraries and external systems, as well as some best practices for speeding up the process of data preparation and import to Wikidata, on the use case of SrpELTeC, Serbian subcollection of the ELTeC multilingual collection (European Literary Text Collection). After preliminary work on the manual Wikidata population with SrpELTeC novels, the goal was to automate the process of preparing and importing information, so different solutions were analysed and finally synergy of two, OpenRefine and QuickStatements, was chosen as the best option. The paper also brings examples of SPARQL queries for retrieval of authors, novel titles, publication places and other metadata with different visualisation options.

16 7 М30 М33 In this paper we present the wikification of the ELTeC (European Literary Text Collection), developed within the COST Action ``Distant Reading for European Literary History'' (CA16204). ELTeC is a multilingual corpus of novels written in the time period 1840—1920, built to apply distant reading methods and tools to explore the European literary history. We present the pipeline that led to the production of the linked dataset, the novels’ metadata retrieval and named entity recognition, transformation, mapping and Wikidata population, followed by named entity linking and export to NIF (NLP Interchange Format). The speeding up of the process of data preparation and import to Wikidata is presented on the use case of seven sub-collections of ELTeC (English, Portuguese, French, Slovenian, German, Hungarian and Serbian). Our goal was to automate the process of preparing and importing information, so OpenRefine and QuickStatements were chosen as the best options. The paper also includes examples of SPARQL queries for retrieval of authors, novel titles, publication places and other metadata with different visualisation options as well as statistical overviews.

2 153 136 21 M50 М53 Serbian ELTeC collection (100 novels and extended) developed within COST action CA16204 Distant Reading for European Literary History comprises at this moment 111 novels published in the period 1840-1920. Such a valuable resource is and will be used for various lexical and linguistic research, by using different tools and methodologies. In this paper, three platforms on which these novels are published will be presented: “Udaljeno ˇcitanje”, Aurora and Sketch Engine.
