At the same time, the duration of all semi-trips - arrival of the locomotive behind the part of the train, its extension to the turnout track, sorting and reverse pulling of the remaining cars - were calculated according to the formula ts/t = a + bm, which is now replaced by a new method for adjusting the shunting operations. The article presents the results of a study that made it possible to derive a formula for calculating the duration of the sorting of a train on the turnout track based on a different calculation of the duration of semi-trips.
