The political crackdown during the 20th Century finds in the International Events a special place for the hosting Countries to spread their ideologies to the visitors and to all the other Countries attending the event. National Pavilions become the subject of propaganda, and their architectural language became an important part of the collective identity’s reclaimed logic, even if it wasn’t always real. Paris International Exposition of 1937 is a paradigmatic case: it’s a mirror of that time and of the prewar period’s international tensions. Born under the auspices of peace, it finally results the most relevant expression of the relation between Power and Architecture.

This article introduces the experience of the Environment & Society Portal (www.environmentandsociety.org), one of the most important projects developed by the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society in Munich. The Environment & Society Portal is online from the beginning of 2012 and it provides the academic community and the general public with original essays, virtual tours and multimedia features, books, articles, sources and several materials related to the so-called ‘environmental humanities’.

Abstract: Gelli-Bianco law (Law no. 24/2017) intervenes both in order to divide healthcare liability between the healthcare professional and the facility in which he/she exercises and to incentivize the latter to adopt an organizational model suitable for managing the risk associated with the provision of any healthcare service, including the information for consent. In fact, the healthcare facility must guarantee clear, complete and adequate information on the specific case, which, therefore, cannot consist of standard forms to be signed by the patient, under penalty of a flawed consent to treatment and consequent healthcare liability in the event of an adverse event. The regulation mandates that safety must be guaranteed through proper prevention tools and health care risk management, in con-junction with the most effective use of structural, technological and organizational resources available. It further spells out the obligation of health care professionals to contribute to risk prevention while administering health care procedures. For this reason, the consent information constitutes a source of risk for the responsibility of the healthcare provider and the Facility and it must necessarily be managed. Risk Management is the management tool that can allow the healthcare facility to improve the quality and safety of the services provided, optimizing the risk of adverse events through proper moni-toring of the same. This paper will be published, following a special agreement, on the two journals "Igiene e Sanità Pubblica" and "La Clinica Tera-peutica", in Italian and in English, in order to increase the diffusion to a wider audience.

To improve the quality of healthcare for patients affected by dementia (Alzheimer's and other types of dementia) and provide support to family caregivers, a health district in Umbria (Italy) has developed a network of social and health services integrated with third-sector and voluntary sector activities and has worked on addressing both the health and social needs of patients and their caregivers. In this article the authors describe the implemented activities which include educational activities, forming a self-help group for caregivers of Alzheimer patients, opening a counseling center and an outpatient clinic for Alzheimer's disease and cognitive disorders.

Christian religion, since its beginning, has been strongly interested about infant world, in defending and promoting it. Evangelic stories show Jesus' attention for children even against his disciples and the current culture of that very time that didn't consider them in a special way. Some of healing miracles and most of reanimation ones have, as characters, just children or young people. This particular care has continued after in ecclesial life by the creation of many charitable institutions for children and, recently, also in an sort of re-arrangement of Christian thought about bioethical problems, most of which are really shared with not Christian world. Nevertheless some of them present several patterns (an-encephaly, neonatal care, assisted reproduction, etc.) involving some specific considerations discussed by Authors.
