The collapse of the magnetic rotating protostellar cloud with mass of $10\,M_{\odot}$ is numerically studied. The initial ratios of the thermal, magnetic, and rotational energies of the cloud to the modulus of its gravitational energy are 0.3, 0.2 and 0.01, respectively. The emphasis is on the evolution and properties of the quasi-magnetostatic primary disk formed at the isothermal stage of the collapse. Simulations show that the primary disk size and mass increase during evolution from $1500$ au to $7400$ au and from $0.3\,M_{\odot}$ to $5.2\,M_{\odot}$, respectively. Magnetic field is quasi-radial in the cloud envelope and quasi-uniform within the primary disk. A toroidal magnetic field is generated behind the front of the fast shock MHD wave propagating from the primary disk boundary and in the region of the outflow formed near the first hydrostatic core. The vertical structure of the accretion disks of young stars with fossil large-scale magnetic field is studied. The equations of magnetostatic equilibrium of the disk are solved taking into account the stellar gravity, gas and magnetic pressure, turbulent heating, and heating by stellar radiation. The modelled physical structure of the disk is used to simulate its chemical structure, in particular, to study the spatial distribution of CN molecules. The disk of the typical T Tauri star is considered. Simulations show that the temperature within the disk in the region $r<50$ au decreases with height and density profiles are steeper than in the isothermal case. Outside the `dead' zone, vertical profiles of the azimuthal component of the magnetic field are nonmonotonic, and the magnetic field strength maximum is reached within the disk. The magnetic pressure gradient can cause an increase in the disk thickness in comparison with the hydrostatic one. The CN molecule concentration is maximum near the photosphere and in the disk atmosphere where the magnetic field strength at chosen parameters is $\sim 0.01$ G. We investigate collapse of magnetic protostellar clouds of mass $10$ and $1 M_{\odot}$. The collapse is simulated numerically using the two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) code `Enlil'. The simulations show that protostellar clouds acquire a hierarchical structure by the end of the isothermal stage of collapse. Under the action of the electromagnetic force, the protostellar cloud takes the form of an oblate envelope with the half-thickness to radius ratio $Z/R \sim (0.20-0.95)$. A geometrically and optically thin primary disk with radius $0.2-0.7 R_0$ and $Z/R \sim (10^{-2}-10^{-1})$ forms inside the envelope, where $R_0$ is the initial radius of the cloud. Primary disks are the structures in magnetostatic equilibrium. They form when the initial magnetic energy of the cloud exceeds $20 \%$ of its gravitational energy. The mass of the primary disk is $30-80 \%$ of the initial mass of the cloud. The first hydrostatic core subsequently forms in the center of the primary disc. We discuss the role of primary disks in the further evolution of clouds, as well as possible observational appearance of the internal hierarchy of the collapsing cloud from the point of view of the features of the magnetic field geometry and the distribution of angular momentum at different levels of the hierarchy, Comment: Published in Astronomy Reports, 9 pages, 4 figures, 3 tables

We investigate the dynamics of the accretion disks of young stars with fossil large-scale magnetic field. The author's magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) model of the accretion disks is generalized to consider the dynamical influence of the magnetic field on gas rotation speed and vertical structure of the disks. With the help of the developed MHD model, the structure of an accretion disk of a solar mass T Tauri star is simulated for different accretion rates $\dot{M}$ and dust grain sizes $a_d$. The simulations of the radial structure of the disk show that the magnetic field in the disk is kinematic, and the electromagnetic force does not affect the rotation speed of the gas for typical values $\dot{M}=10^{-8}\,M_\odot\,\mbox{yr}^{-1}$ and $a_d=0.1 \mu$m. In the case of large dust grains, $a_d\geq 1$ mm, the magnetic field is frozen into the gas and a dynamically strong magnetic field is generated at radial distances from the star $r\gtrsim 30$ au, the tensions of which slow down the rotation speed by $\lesssim 1.5$ % of the Keplerian velocity. This effect is comparable to the contribution of the radial gradient of gas pressure and can lead to the increase in the radial drift velocity of dust grains in the accretion disks. In the case of high accretion rate, $\dot{M}\geq 10^{-7}\,M_\odot\,\mbox{yr}^{-1}$, the magnetic field is also dynamically strong in the inner region of the disk, $r<0.2$ au. The simulations of the vertical structure of the disk show that, depending on the conditions on the surface of the disk, the vertical gradient of magnetic pressure can lead to both decrease and increase in the characteristic thickness of the disk as compared to the hydrostatic one by 5-20 %. The dynamics of magnetic flux tubes (MFTs) in the accretion disk of typical Herbig Ae/Be star with fossil large-scale magnetic field is modeled taking into account the buoyant and drag forces, radiative heat exchange with the surrounding gas, and the magnetic field of the disk. The structure of the disk is simulated using our magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) model, taking into account the heating of the surface layers of the disk with the stellar radiation. The simulations show that MFTs periodically rise from the innermost region of the disk with speeds up to $10-12$ km s$^{-1}$. MFTs experience decaying magnetic oscillations under the action of the external magnetic field near the disk's surface. The oscillation period increases with distance from the star and initial plasma beta of the MFT, ranging from several hours at $r=0.012$ au up to several months at $r=1$ au. The oscillations are characterized by pulsations of the MFT's characteristics including its temperature. We argue that the oscillations can produce observed IR-variability of Herbig Ae/Be stars, which would be more intense than in the case of T Tauri stars, since the disks of Herbig Ae/Be stars are hotter, denser and have stronger magnetic field., Comment: 11 pages, 6 figures, accepted for publication by Open Astronomy

Dynamics of slender magnetic flux tubes (MFT) in the accretion discs of T Tauri stars is investigated. We perform simulations taking into account buoyant, aerodynamic and turbulent drag forces, radiative heat exchange between MFT and ambient gas, magnetic field of the disc. The equations of MFT dynamics are solved using Runge-Kutta method of the fourth order. The simulations show that there are two regimes of MFT motion in absence of external magnetic field. In the region $r<0.2$ au, the MFT of radii $0.05 \leq a_0 \leq 0.16\,H$ ($H$ is the scale height of the disc) with initial plasma beta of 1 experience thermal oscillations above the disc. The oscillations decay over some time, and MFT continue upward motion afterwards. Thinner or thicker MFT do not oscillate. MFT velocity increases with initial radius and magnetic field strength. MFT rise periodically with velocities up to 5-15 km s$^{-1}$ and periods of $0.5-10$ yr determined by the toroidal magnetic field generation time. Approximately 20 % of disc mass and magnetic flux can escape to disc atmosphere via the magnetic buoyancy over characteristic time of disc evolution. MFT dispersal forms expanding magnetized corona of the disc. External magnetic field causes MFT oscillations near the disc surface. These magnetic oscillations have periods from several days to 1-3 months at $r < 0.6$ au. The magnetic oscillations decay over few periods. We simulate MFT dynamics in accretion discs in the Chameleon I cluster. Linear analysis of the stability of diffuse clouds in the cold neutral medium with uniform magnetic field is performed. We consider that gas in equilibrium state is heated by cosmic rays, X-rays and electronic photoeffect on the surface of dust grains, and it is cooled by the collisional excitation of fine levels of the CII. Ionization by cosmic rays and radiative recombinations is taken into account. A dispersion equation is solved analytically in the limiting cases of small and large wave numbers, as well as numerically in the general case. In particular cases the dispersion equation describes thermal instability of Field (1965) and ionization-coupled acoustic instability of Flannery and Press (1979). We pay our attention to magnetosonic waves arising in presence of magnetic field, in thermally stable region, $35 \leq T \leq 95$ K and density $n\lessapprox 10^3\,\mbox{cm}^{-3}$. We have shown that these modes can be unstable in the isobarically stable medium. The instability mechanism is similar to the mechanism of ionization-coupled acoustic instability. We determine maximum growth rates and critical wavelengths of the instability of magnetosonic waves depending on gas temperature, magnetic field strength and the direction of wave vector with respect to the magnetic field lines. The minimum growth time of the unstable slow magnetosonic waves in diffuse clouds is of $4-60$ Myr, minimum and the most unstable wavelengths lie in ranges $0.05-0.5$ and $0.5-5$ pc, respectively. We investigate dynamics of accretion discs of young stars with fossil large-scale magnetic field. Our magneto-gas-dynamic (MHD) model of the accretion discs includes equations of Shakura and Sunyaev, induction equation, equations of thermal and collisional ionization. Induction equation takes into account Ohmic and magnetic ambipolar diffusion, magnetic buoyancy. We also consider the influence of Ohmic and ambipolar heating on thermal structure of the accretion discs. We analyse the influence of considered dissipative MHD effects on the temperature of the accretion discs around classical T Tauri star. The simulations show that Ohmic and ambipolar heating operate near the borders of the region with low ionization fraction (`dead' zone). The problem of the determination of T Tauri stars masses and ages using their evolutionary status is discussed. We test of pre-main sequence evolutionary models of D'Antona \& Mazzitelli (1994), Dotter et al. (2008), Bressan et al. (2012) and Chen et al. (2014), Baraffe et al. (2015) using well determined observational parameters of 12 binary T Tauri stars (TTS) and 2 binary red dwarfs. It is shown that the masses derived using the tracks of all models are in good agreement with the masses obtained from the observations of TTS with masses $M > 0.7 M_{\odot}$ (mean error $\varepsilon\sim10\% $). Low-mass stars with $M \le 0.7 M_{\odot}$ have significantly greater mean error: $\varepsilon \sim 50\%$ for the tracks of Bressan et al. and Chen et al. and $\varepsilon \sim 30\%$ for the other tracks. The isochrones of all tested evolutionary models diverge for the stars with masses $M \le 0.7 M_{\odot}$. The difference increases with the mass decrease and can reach 10\% of Kelvin-Helmholtz time for stars with mass $M = 0.2 M_{\odot}$. The ages of most of the considered T Tauri stars are smaller than the Kelvin-Helmholtz time. Buoyancy of the fossil magnetic field in the accretion disks of young stars is investigated. It is assumed that the Parker instability leads to the formation of slender flux tubes of toroidal magnetic field in the regions of effective magnetic field generation. Stationary solution of the induction equation is written in the form in which buoyancy is treated as the additional mechanism of the magnetic flux escape. We calculate the fossil magnetic field intensity in the accretion disks of young T Tauri stars for the cases when radius of the magnetic flux tubes $a_{\mathrm{mft}} = 0.1H$, $0.5 H$ or $1H$, where $H$ is the accretion disk height scale. Calculations show that the buoyancy limits toroidal magnetic field growth, so that its strength is comparable with the vertical magnetic field strength for the case $a_{\mathrm{mft}}=0.1H$., Comment: published in PEPAN Letters

We simulate the dynamics of slender magnetic flux tubes (MFTs) in the accretion disks of T Tauri stars. The dynamical equations of our model take into account the aerodynamic and turbulent drag forces, and the radiative heat exchange between the MFT and ambient gas. The structure of the disk is calculated with the help of our MHD model of the accretion disks. We consider the MFTs formed at the distances $0.027-0.8$ au from the star with various initial radii and plasma betas $\beta_0$. The simulations show that the MFT with weak magnetic field ($\beta_0=10$) rise slowly with speeds less than the sound speed. The MFTs with $\beta_0=1$ form outflowing magnetized corona of the disk. Strongly magnetized MFTs ($\beta_0=0.1$) can cause the outflows with velocities $20-50$ km s$^{-1}$. The tubes rise periodically over times from several days to several months according to our simulations. We propose that periodically rising MFTs can absorb stellar radiation and contribute to the IR-variability of Young Stellar Objects., Comment: accepted for publication in RAA

We investigate the fossil magnetic field in the accretion and protoplanetary discs using the Shakura and Sunyaev approach. The distinguishing feature of this study is the accurate solution of the ionization balance equations and the induction equation with Ohmic diffusion, magnetic ambipolar diffusion, buoyancy and the Hall effect. We consider the ionization by cosmic rays, X-rays and radionuclides, radiative recombinations, recombinations onto dust grains, and also thermal ionization. The buoyancy appears as the additional mechanism of magnetic flux escape in the steady-state solution of the induction equation. Calculations show that Ohmic diffusion and magnetic ambipolar diffusion constraint the generation of the magnetic field inside the `dead' zones. The magnetic field in these regions is quasi-vertical. The buoyancy constraints the toroidal magnetic field strength close to the disc inner edge. As a result, the toroidal and vertical magnetic fields become comparable. The Hall effect is important in the regions close to the borders of the `dead' zones because electrons are magnetized there. The magnetic field in these regions is quasi-radial. We calculate the magnetic field strength and geometry for the discs with accretion rates $(10^{-8}-10^{-6})\,\rm{M}_{\odot}\,\rm{yr}^{-1}$. The fossil magnetic field geometry does not change significantly during the disc evolution while the accretion rate decreases. We construct the synthetic maps of dust emission polarized due to the dust grain alignment by the magnetic field. With the help of 3D MHD simulations we investigate the collapse and fragmentation of rotating turbulent prestellar core embedded into turbulent medium. The numerical code is based on a high resolution Godunov-type finite-difference scheme. Initial turbulence is represented by the ensemble of Alfven waves with power law spectrum. Our computations show that under realistic parameters two bound fragments can appear when the density increases at $100-10^3$ times. The distance between the fragments is about $0.1$ of the initial core radius and their orbital period is comparable to the initial free fall time of the core. These results can explain the origin of binary stars with separation $0.001-0.01$ pc in the Galaxy field., Comment: IAUS 270 "Computational Star Formation" poster proceedings. The explicit quasi-monotonic conservative TVD scheme and numerical method for the solution of the gravitational MHD equations are developed. The 2D numerical code for the simulation of multidimensional selfgravitating MHD flows on the Eulerian cylindrical grid is constructed. The results of test calculations show that the code has a good mathematical and computational properties and can be applied to the solution of a wide class of plasma physics and astrophysics problems.
