2. An Ultrawide-Line 139La Solid-State NMR Investigation of Layered La(OH)2NO3

Abstract

Layered rare earth hydroxides are new classes of functional materials. In this study, a layered La(OH)2NO3 compound having both ion-exchange capacity and non-linear optical property was studied by solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance (SSNMR) spectroscopy. The quadrupolar Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill sequence (QCPMG) was used to acquire 139La SSNMR sub-spectra with variable offsets, from which the ultrawide-line spectrum was reconstructed by co-addition after applying a filtering function. The ultrawide-line spectrum consisted of both center and satellite transition line shapes, which were also simulated with the QUEST software. The 139La CQ and ηQ values measured by SSNMR experiments agreed well with those calculated with the Cambridge Sequential Total Energy Package (CASTEP). The 139La SSNMR results unambiguously indicated that the layered La(OH)2NO3 compound studied belongs to a non-centrosymmetric space group of P21.

Abstract

One of the reasons for the airport ground delay is the apron unreasonable arrangement, so arranging apron operating services reasonably and reducing ramp time have the practical significances. The particle swarm optimization is introduced into the scheduling problem, combined with the actual operation situation of the apron. Through studying reasonable arrangement of vehicles, this paper reduces the overall ramp operating hours. By using particle swarm optimization algorithm, the paper finds the optimal position of each vehicle and the location of the global optimum, then the flights sequences that the vehicles should serve are obtained and the service progress is found. The longest working time of the single vehicle is the minimum service time for this kind of services. This paper establishes the mathematical model of the vehicles, based on the particle swarm optimization algorithm. The simulation calculation results show the feasibility of this method. Through the optimization, the operating hours are shorter and the apron operating time is reduced, which will make departure time more reliable.

35. Lightning Surge Propagation on a Grounded Vertical Conductor.

Abstract

This letter addresses lightning surge propagation on a vertical conductor connected to the earth via a ground electrode. As the vertical conductor does not support the TEM mode of wave propagation, surge propagation is characterized with time- and position-variant surge impedance and attenuation coefficient of current. The reflection of a lightning surge at the ground then is addressed with the approach similar to the travelling wave theory. Expressions of the reflected surge excited by the current with a ramp or an arbitrary waveform are derived. Note that the reflected surge consists of two components with different attenuation rates. The traditional reflection coefficient is not applicable to the grounded vertical conductor. The results are numerically validated with the finite-difference time domain and partial element equivalent circuit methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

In certain type UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) altitude sensor performance detection equipment, a kind of signal-conditioning circuit which is used for piezoresistive transducer (PRT) is designed to solve the measure problem of pressure. In this circuit, the sensor's zero point output, thermal zero shift, full-scale output, thermal sensitivity shift, and full-scale output nonlinearity etc. are compensated and calibrated. The error compensation form of former tradition is abandoned in this circuit, a new signal-conditioning chip MAX1457 is adopted, then a method of software compensation is put forwarded, the error calibration table is established. So the sensor output error is controlled in 0.11%~0.158% by calibrating compensation.
