Abstract

We prove that a motivic equivalence of objects of the form \begin{equation*} X/(X-x)\simeq X^\prime/(X^\prime-x^\prime) \end{equation*} in $\mathbf{H}^\bullet(B)$ or $\mathbf{DM}(B)$ over a scheme $B$, where $x$ and $x^\prime$ are closed points of smooth $B$-schemes $X$ and $X^\prime$, implies an isomorphism of residue fields, i.e. \[x\cong x^\prime.\] For a given $d\geq 0$, $X,X^\prime\in\mathrm{Sm}_B$, $\operatorname{dim}_B X=d=\operatorname{dim}_B X^\prime$, and closed points $x$ and $x^\prime$ that residue fields are simple extensions of the ones of $B$, we show an isomorphism of groups \[\mathrm{Hom}_{\mathbf{DM}(B)}(X/(X-x),X^\prime/(X^\prime-x^\prime)))\cong\mathrm{Cor}(x,x^\prime),\] and prove that it leads to an equivalence of subcategories. Additionally, using the result on perverse homotopy heart by F.~D\'eglise and N.~Feld and F.~Jin and the strict homotopy invariance theorem for presheaves with transfers over fields by the first author, we prove an equivalence of the Rost cycle modules category and the homotopy heart of $\mathbf{DM}(k)$ over a field $k$ with integral coefficients., Comment: Theorems A, B ware not presented before. 2. Hypercomplete \'etale framed motives and comparison of stable homotopy groups of motivic spectra and \'etale realizations over a field

Abstract

For any base field and integer $l$ invertible in $k$, we prove that $\Omega^\infty_{\mathbb{G}_m}$ and $\Omega^\infty_{\mathbb{P}^1}$ commute with hyper \'etale sheafification $L_{\acute{e}t}$ and Betti realization through infinite loop space theory in motivic homotopy theory. The central subject of this article is an $l$-complete hypercomplete \'etale analog of the framed motives theory developed by Garkusha and Panin. Using Bachman's hypercomplete \'etale \RigidityTheorem and the $\infty$-categorical approach of framed motivic spaces by Elmanto, Hoyois, Khan, Sosnilo, Yakerson, we prove the recognition principle and the framed motives formula for the composite functor \[\Delta^\mathrm{op}\mathrm{Sm}_k\to \mathrm{Spt}^{\mathbb{G}_m^{-1}}_{\mathbb{A}^1,\acute{e}t}(\mathrm{Sm}_k)\xrightarrow{\Omega^\infty_{\mathbb{G}_m}} \mathrm{Spt}_{\acute{e}t,\hat{n}}(\mathrm{Sm}_k).\] The first applications include the hypercomplete \'etale stable motivic connectivity theorem and an \'etale local isomorphism \[\pi^{\mathbb{A}^1,\mathrm{Nis}}_{i,j}(E)\simeq\pi^{\mathbb{A}^1,\acute{e}t}_{i,j}(E)\] for any $l$-complete effective motivic spectra $E$, and $j\geq 0$. Furthermore, we obtain a new proof for Levine's comparison isomorphism over $\mathbb C$, $\pi_{i,0}^{\mathbb{A}^1,\mathrm{Nis}}(E)(\mathbb{C})\cong \pi_i(Be(E))$, and Zargar's generalization for algebraically closed fields, that applies to an arbitrary base field.

Abstract

The cross section for the $e^+e^-\to K_SK_L$ process is measured in the center-of-mass energy range from 1000 MeV to 1100 MeV in the experiment with the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider. The measurement is carried out in the $K_S\to 2\pi^0$ decay mode. Data with an integrated luminosity of 20 pb$^{-1}$ recorded in 2018 at 18 energy points are used in the analysis. The systematic uncertainty in the measured cross section at the maximum of the $\phi$ resonance is 0.9%. The mass, width of the $\phi$ meson, and the product of the branching fractions $B(\phi\to K_SK_L)B(\phi\to e^+e^-)$ are determined from the fit to the cross-section energy dependence., Comment: 14 pages, 12 figures

Abstract

The $e^+e^-\to n\bar{n}$ cross section was measured at center of mass (c.m.) energies from the threshold to 1908 MeV. The experiment to measure the cross section has been carried out at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider in 13 energy points. The SND detector is used to detect the produced neutron-antineutrons ($n\bar{n}$) events. A special time measurement system on the calorimeter was used to select the time-delayed $n\bar{n}$ events. The measured $e^+e^-\to n\bar{n}$ cross section is 0.4--0.6 nb. Abstract

The results of the search for the $e^+e^-\to\eta^{\prime}\gamma$ process in the center-of-mass energy range from 1.075 to 2 GeV are presented. We analyze data with an integral luminosity of 746 pb$^{-1}$ accumulated with the SND detector at the $e^+e^-$ collider VEPP-2000 in 2010--2024. The $\eta^{\prime}\to\eta\pi^0\pi^0$ decay is used in the analysis, with the subsequent $\eta$ and $\pi^0$ decays into $\gamma\gamma$. 8. Cousin complexes in motivic homotopy theory

Abstract

We investigate Cousin (bi-)complexes in the setting of motives. Over essentially smooth local schemes, the columns of the Cousin bicomplex with coefficients in any stable motivic homotopy type are shown to be acyclic. On the other hand, we also construct a family of non-acyclic Cousin complexes over any positive dimensional base scheme. Our method of proof employs the notion of extended compactified framed correspondences. Three major motivations for this study are to further our understanding of strict homotopy invariance, motivic infinite loop spaces, and connectivity in stable motivic homotopy theory. As applications of our main results on motivic Cousin complexes, we generalize several fundamental results in these topics to finite dimensional base schemes., Comment: 35 pages, comments welcome

Abstract

The results of the measurement of the $e^+e^- \to n \bar{n}$ cross section and effective neutron timelike form factor are presented. The data taking was carried out in 2020-2021 at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider in the center-of-mass energy range from 1891 to 2007 MeV. The general purpose nonmagnetic detector SND is used to detect neutron-antineutron events. The event selection is performed using the time-of-flight technique. Abstract

The process $e^+e^- \to \omega\pi^0 \to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0\pi^0$ is studied in the center-of-mass energy region $1.05-2.00$ GeV using data with an integral luminosity of about 35 pb$^{-1}$ collected with the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider. In the energy range under study, the value of the measured Born cross section varies from 0.7 to 18 nb. The statistical uncertainty of the cross section is $2-23$%, while the systematic uncertainty is in the range of $3.0-14.2$%. 16. Improving the Efficiency of Submersible Multistage Pumps Based on the Hydrophobization of the Flow Part Surfaces

Abstract

The paper presents an experimental study of an assembly of five stages of an electric centrifugal pump (ECP) installation, the flow part of which is modified according to the principles of biomimetics, namely using the “lotus leaf effect”. The object of the study was a 5A-35 ECP. The surfaces of the blade systems of impellers and guide devices of stages 5 A-35 were hydrophobized using the method of applying surfactant layers. The degree of impellers hydrophobicity was estimated by the wetting angle average value measured by three drops at three different points on the impeller surface. The impellers surface roughness under study was determined by the arithmetic mean profile deviation Ra and the profile height irregularities Rz. The issues related to the surfactant coating modification effect salt deposition and corrosion were studied. For this purpose, the surfaces of the original and modified impellers were subjected to intensive forced salt deposition as a result of prolonged exposure to saline solution. The conclusion about the samples corrosion resistance degree was made by changing their mass, which was due to the salt deposits formation during 15 hours of stay in solution, as well as using the drop method. Both methods have shown that the surfactant coating can serve as a salt deposition inhibitor, and the pump impeller modified by it has increased corrosion resistance. Thus, during comparative tests, a smaller mass of salt was deposited on the modified impeller sample during 15 hours of exposure in saturated saline solution than on the original sample. This indicates that the surfactant layer prevents the salt deposits fixation on the working surfaces of the pump stage. On the modified sample examined by the drop method, the indicator color changed in 20 minutes, and on the original one – in 2 minutes. Experimental studies have been carried out, during which the operation energy parameters of a five stages 5A-35 pumping package with initial and modified surfactant-coated impellers have been determined. The studies have shown a 2 % increase in efficiency in the pum-ping package of stages with modified impellers. The results of the study can be useful in the oil production, chemical industry, as well as in the housing and communal services sector.

Abstract

The SND is a non-magnetic detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^{+} e^{-}$ collider (BINP, Novosibirsk) designed for hadronic cross-section measurements in the center-of-mass energy range up to $2$ GeV. The important part of the detector is a hodoscopic electromagnetic calorimeter (EMC) with three layers of NaI(Tl) counters. The EMC signal shaping and digitizing electronics based on FADC allow to obtain both the signal amplitude and the arrival time. Abstract

The Super $\tau$-Charm facility (STCF) is an electron-positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of $0.5\times 10^{35}{\rm cm}^{-2}{\rm s}^{-1}$ or higher. The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that by the present $\tau$-Charm factory -- the BEPCII, providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (charge-parity violation), in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions, as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R\&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R\&D and physics case studies.

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the handwritten legacy of Isaac Babel and examines the writer’s letters, inscriptions, and drawings introduced into scientific circulation in the last decade. Based on the analysis of these findings, the article concludes that all these “autographs of Isaac Babel” are hoaxes of varying degrees of persuasiveness. These results confirm the effectiveness of philological methods for recognizing falsified manuscripts of the classics of literature. The article pays special attention to the analysis of Isaac Babel’s gift inscription to Solomon Mikhoels, written partly in Yiddish. The research establishes that the text of the inscription testifies to the writer’s poor command of Yiddish, which in turn refutes the possibility of the authenticity of such an inscription as a whole. The issues considered in the article correlate with the general problems of modern textual criticism.

Abstract

A new mechanism has been proposed to simultaneously explain the presence of dark matter and the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the universe. This scenario predicts exotic $B$ meson decays into a baryon and a dark sector anti-baryon ($\psi_D$) with branching fractions accessible at $B$ factories. We present a search for $B \rightarrow \Lambda \psi_D$ decays using data collected by the $BABAR$ experiment at SLAC. This reaction is identified by fully reconstructing the accompanying $B$ meson and requiring the presence of a single $\Lambda$ baryon in the remaining particles. No significant signal is observed, and bounds on the $B \rightarrow \Lambda \psi_D$ branching fraction are derived in the range $0.13 - 5.2\times 10^{-5}$ for $1.0 < m_{\psi_D} < 4.2$ GeV/$c^{2}$. These results set strong constraints on the parameter space allowed by the theory.

Abstract

Neurological immune-related adverse events (irAE) are rare but potentially fatal complications associated with the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI). Recently, there has been a trend towards an increase in the incidence of these cases. We present two case reports of demyelinating polyneuropathy in patients with skin melanoma treated with pembrolizumab or nivolumab. Unawareness of neurological irAE induced by ICI leads to delayed diagnosis and medical treatment, and this may result in persistent neurological deficit or even patients’ death. Neurological irAEs include myasthenia gravis, aseptic meningitis, encephalitis, myelitis, inflammatory demyelinating neuropathy, myositis or their combinations, etc. Considering their variability in patients treated with ICI and poor representation in publications, each case report can be of practical value.

34. Composition of the sputum bacterial microbiome of patients with different pathomorphological forms of non-small-cell lung cancer

Abstract

Recent studies have shown that the bacterial microbiome of the respiratory tract influences the development of lung cancer. Changes in the composition of the microbiome are observed in patients with chronic inflammatory processes. Such microbiome changes may include the occurrence of bacteria that cause oxidative stress and that are capable of causing genome damage in the cells of the host organism directly and indirectly. To date, the composition of the respiratory microbiome in patients with various histological variants of lung cancer has not been studied. In the present study, we determined the taxonomic composition of the sputum microbiome of 52 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the lung, 52 patients with lung adenocarcinoma and 52 healthy control donors, using next-generation sequencing (NGS) on the V3-V4 region of the bacterial gene encoding 16S rRNA. The sputum microbiomes of patients with different histological types of lung cancer and controls did not show significant differences in terms of the species richness index (Shannon); however, the patients differed from the controls in terms of evenness index (Pielou). The structures of bacterial communities (beta diversity) in the adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma groups were also similar; however, when analyzed according to the matrix constructed by the Bray–Curtis method, there were differences between patients with squamous cell carcinoma and healthy subjects, but not between those with adenocarcinoma and controls. Using the LEFse method it was possible to identify an increase in the content of Bacillota (Streptococcus and Bacillus) and Actinomycetota (Rothia) in the sputum of patients with squamous cell carcinoma when compared with samples from patients with adenocarcinoma. There were no differences in the content of bacteria between the samples of patients with adenocarcinoma and the control ones. The content of representatives of the genera Streptococcus, Bacillus, Peptostreptococcus (phylum Bacillota), Prevotella, Macellibacteroides (phylum Bacteroidota), Rothia (phylum Actinomycetota) and Actinobacillus (phylum Pseudomonadota) was increased in the microbiome of sputum samples from patients with squamous cell carcinoma, compared with the control. Thus, the sputum bacterial microbiome of patients with different histological types of non-small-cell lung cancer has significant differences. Further research should be devoted to the search for microbiome biomarkers of lung cancer at the level of bacterial species using whole-genome sequencing.

Abstract

Background. The development of neuropathic pain in chemotherapy‑induced polyneuropathy, is one of the complications of chemotherapy (CT). Especially often it develops after treatment with platinum and taxane drugs. The lesion of thin fibers is an important component of the painful form of polyneuropathy. Since electroneuromyographic examination does not confirm the lesion of thin nerve fibers, this diagnosis is often difficult to confirm in clinical practice, based mainly on subjective assessment of complaints, sensitivity, and the use of questionnaires. Skin biopsy is a validated method for determining intraepidermal nerve fiber density and can be considered for the diagnosis of distal sensory neuropathy, especially small fiber neuropathy. Given the difficulty in assessing small fiber damage, the prevalence and pathophysiology of small fiber neuropathy in cancer patients remain poorly understood.Aim. To evaluate the changes in the number of thin fibers in patients with chemotherapy‑induced polyneuropathy and oncological diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) and pelvic organs (PO), as well as to analyze the relationship of fiber density with clinical and neurophysiological parameters and neuropathic pain syndrome.Materials and methods. The study included 34 patients over 18 years old, divided equally into two groups: the first group – patients with GIT organs cancer, in which oxaliplatin was the main drug; the second group – patients with PO cancer, in which paclitaxel/docetaxel was the main drug. Patients were examined before and after CT. Exclusion criteria were the presence in the history of complaints that allowed suspecting pathologic conditions potentially capable of causing peripheral nerve damage. All patients underwent electroneuromyography with SRAR index calculation and skin biopsy, as well as assessment of neuropathic pain using scales (National Cancer Institute Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events version 5.0, Visual Analogue Scale) and questionnaires (Douleur Neuropathique en 4 Questions, Small fiber neuropathy – symptoms inventory questionnaire). Statistical processing was performed using the GraphPad Prism 8.0.1 program package. Quantitative variables were evaluated using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test. Correlation analysis between intraepidermal nerve fiber density clinical scales and neurophysiological data was evaluated using Spearman coefficient.Results. 31 patients (14 patients with GIT organs cancer, 17 patients with PO cancer) completed the full cycle of examination before and after СT, 3 patients with GIT organs cancer dropped out of the study due to death. The mean age was 58.0 ± 11.5 years (23–70 years), of which elderly patients (over 60 years old) were 16 (51 %). Wilcoxon signed rank test for pairs showed a significant difference between intraepidermal nerve fiber density in the group of patients with GIT organs cancer before and after CT (p = 0.02), and no significant difference in patients with PO cancer before and after CT (p = 0.37). Statistically significant differences in the amplitude of the sensory potential (S‑response) of the superficial peroneal nerve in patients with PO cancer (p p = 0.0002) and of the calf nerve in patients with PO cancer (p = 0.0001) and GIT organs cancer (p = 0.0017) before and after CT were obtained. Also, SRAR index before and after CT showed a significant difference for both PO (p = 0.0017) and GIT organs cancer (p = 0.0245). Spearman correlation analysis found no significant correlations between intraepidermal nerve fiber density density and the results of electroneuromyography as well as major scales.Conclusion. Small fiber neuropathy is part of mixed sensory neuropathy in patients with chemotherapy‑induced polyneuropathy and occurs more often with the use of oxaliplatin in patients with GIT organs cancer. Identification of patients with pain symptoms and the presence of small fiber neuropathy in the future will help develop an individual approach to the management of this group of patients, and the wider use of skin biopsy techniques will help in the study of reinnervation processes, which is especially important in the development of new therapeutic targets aimed at eliminating nerve damage.

Abstract

The process $e^+e^-\to n\bar n$ is studied in the experiment at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider with the SND detector. The technique of the time measurements in the multichannel NaI(Tl) electromagnetic calorimeter is used to select nnbar events. The value of the measured cross section in the center-of-mass energy range from 1.894 to 2 GeV varies from 0.5 to 0.35 nb. The effective neutron timelike form factor is derived from the measured cross section and compared with the proton form factor. The ratio of the neutron electric and magnetic form factors is obtained from the analysis of the antineutron polar angle distribution and found to be consistent with unity., Comment: 13 pages, 17 figures, 19 references

Contemporary Russia’s spatial development is markedly affected by profound geoeconomic and geopolitical shifts, progressively more visible in terms of magnitude and repercussions. For Russia, the positive impact of these changes has become increasingly linked to the emergence of the Greater Eurasia macro-structure. This article aims to develop a contemporary conceptual approach to Greater Eurasia as a socio-geographical mega-structure given Russia’s oppo­sition to the collective West. Additionally, it seeks to identify, using this approach, the strate­gic interests, opportunities and limitations of Russia’s spatial dynamics on the path towards Eurasian continentalism, which promotes transboundary cooperation and mutually supportive co-development of Eurasian states. The focus of this contribution is on the most crucial con­temporary trends and principal contradictions in the transformation of the Russian space. The study provides a picture of the framework of ‘greater’ Eurasian integration, emphasising its connection to intensifying interregional and inter-municipal interactions. A rationale is out­lined for shifting the country’s economic activity towards the east and north, with priorities identified given the inertia of spatial processes and the growing significance of Siberia in the Russian space. The potential and efficiency of prolonging the ‘Moscow-centric’ arrangement of the Russian space are assessed from the perspective of ensuring the multidirectional develop­ment of the latter. Special attention is paid to the ‘municipalisation’ of approaches to the strate­gic planning of Russia’s spatial development in the context of Eurasian continental integration.

Abstract

The article explores the impact of geopolitical processes on the spatial organisation of society, a matter that has gained increasing importance in Russia. It focuses on the utilization of the World Ocean and its coastlines for resource extraction, logistics, military-strategic purposes, and settlement. Methodologically, this study combines modern socio-geographical approaches emphasising the role of the maritime factor in spatial development with classical geopolitical ideologemes drawing a line between the land and the sea. It stresses the fundamental possibility for territories, including states, not only to acquire synthetic continental-maritime attributes but also to transform the balance of these attributes under the influence of geopolitical determinants. The article analyses geopolitically induced changes in the maritime activities pursued by Russia in the post-Soviet period. The primary focus is on the situational territorial and economic shifts of 2014 and 2022, and their implications for Russian territories in the Baltic region. Pronounced inter-basin differences are described with respect to the coastalisation of the population. The study also evaluates the economic condition of key Russian maritime centres and their resilience to external influences, especially geopolitical challenges. The article offers a geopolitical justification for Russia’s ongoing maritime endeavours, emphasizing the need for inter-basin, intermunicipal, and interregional integration. This integration should be accompanied by the establishment of coastal-intracontinental facilities, such as hubs, across Russia. It is imperative for the nation and its prominent corporations to actively engage in shaping the framework of emerging expansive international maritime socio-geographical structures, facilitating the shift toward global maritime polycentrism. The solution to these problems is closely linked to the priority goal of strengthening Russia’s geostrategic standing in the Baltic region, particularly with a focus on its maritime components. These developments are anticipated within the context of the Russian Baltic Area, envisioned as a borderland with trans-basin geopolitical, economic-geographical, and geocultural bi-structural asymmetry.

Abstract

Energy supply to remote areas remains a technical and social challenge. Construction of transmission lines to provide electricity to such areas is expensive and not always possible. One of the promising areas in this area is local energy generation based on local resources, in particular small watercourses, using small hydroelectric power plants. Small hydroelectric power plants are small hydropower facilities that use the energy of small watercourses to generate electricity. They have a number of advantages over traditional energy sources, such as environmental friendliness, low operating costs and high efficiency. However, the widespread introduction of small hydroelectric power plants is hampered by the lack of mass production of small hydraulic turbines and difficulties in designing low-power plants. Designing hydraulic turbines is a complex task that requires solving the inverse problem of hydrodynamics and finding the optimal shape of the flow path. To simplify the design of hydraulic turbines in the modern world, specialized software is used using various methods, including flow analysis, energy loss and blade shape optimization. This article based on an analysis of existing methods for designing and using a mathematical model of a hydraulic turbine with simplified blades, proposes a method for designing and analyzing the theoretical characteristics of the resulting hydraulic turbine. In conclusion, taking into account the use of the methodology for designing a hydraulic turbine for given parameters, its assessment is given, as well as ways to possibly improve the accuracy of the results obtained. Possible areas of application of the outlined design methodology are indicated.

45. Economic development of Russia’s north-western regions and migration to the St. Petersburg agglomeration

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the development of Russia’s North-Western Federal District (NWFD) regions between 1998 and 2021, based on data from Rosstat. It focuses on how the territories responded to migration to the St. Petersburg agglomeration in the early 21st century and compares their progress with the cores of the St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Helsinki agglomerations. For building the models, regions with similar development dynamics were divided into four sectors: St. Petersburg, the Leningrad region, three less advanced northern areas, and the more successful NWFD territories. Before the 2008—2009 crisis, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region outperformed the other north-western areas. However, the crisis led to a sharp decline in economic growth rates across the federal district, with manufacturing, agriculture, and forestry replacing the service sector as the main drivers. St. Petersburg’s development slowed down, and it became less efficient compared to the Leningrad region and the other five territories, which excelled in manufacturing, agriculture, and forestry. Despite migration to the St. Petersburg agglomeration and an associated increase in employment, the city did not gain a significant advantage over the other NWFD regions due to insufficient investment and hindrance in the development of new economic sectors. Migration to the St. Petersburg agglomeration primarily involved younger people but did not significantly impact traditional industries, such as manufacturing, agriculture, and forestry, which remained at the core of NWFD regions’ economic success. St. Petersburg’s higher economic efficiency compared to Moscow and Helsinki was a result of greater investments in manufacturing.

Abstract

The process $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ is studied in the center-of-mass energy range 1.17-2.00 GeV using data with an integrated luminosity of 201 pb$^{-1}$collected by the SND detector at the VEPP-2000 $e^+e^-$ collider. The $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ cross section is measured for the first time. It is shown that the dominant mechanism of this reaction is the transition through the $\phi\eta$ intermediate state. Our result on the $e^+e^-\to\eta\eta\gamma$ cross section is consistent with the $e^+e^-\to\phi\eta$ measurement in the $\phi\to K^+ K^-$ mode. Abstract

In this research work, a protection and automation solution is developed, encompassing SEL751 and SEL751A protection relays that communicate through the IEC-61850 Generic Object-Oriented Substation Event (GOOSE) protocol to deliver high-speed detection and clearance of a 3-phase (3P) fault. The study case is a standard IEEE 13-bus grid including the main system generator (G1), power lines, loads, distributed generation (DG), bus bars, and feeders, equipped with protection relays for detecting over-current faults based on time and current. Two protection relays, B1 in the main system and B2 on the DG side, are integrated with a GOOSE protocol communication system. These settings are configured in such a way that, in the event of the main system breaker being disconnected, the DG cannot be connected to the network, making it a suitable setting for anti-islanding mode (AIM). The efficiency of the relay settings is tested by subjecting the power grid to a 3P fault, by the selected Time-Overcurrent (TOC) U3 inverse curve. Throughout the paper, the descriptions of the study, the grid, assumptions, settings calculations, and analysis of results are systematically presented. For the verification of relay settings, the performance of relays is practically tested and accurately analyzed in detail. The results obtained indicate that the presented strategy is quite effective for the configuration, setting operation, and coordination of relays for fast detection and communication through the GOOSE protocol.
