This list of Driver Rehabilitation Specialists is provided for MARYLAND customer convenience. The listed providers are known to the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) to be able to complete driving assessments/evaluations for medical fitness to drive. These providers are not employees of the Maryland MVA and their assessments are not business transactions with the Maryland MVA.

In response to the 2012 Joint Chairmen’s Report, the Public Service Commission of Maryland submits this Report addressing the concerns of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee and the House Appropriations Committee that the Commission does not have sufficient staff to undertake adequate enforcement actions against operators of taxicabs or limousines operating without a license issued by the Commission.

MDOT has estimated robust growth in the titling tax; however, there is still uncertainty in the economy, and revenues could be less than estimated. Other revenues could be adversely impacted should the economy contract.

Respectfully submitted for your and the General Assembly’s consideration is the enclosed Final Report by the Blue Ribbon Commission on Transportation Funding. The Report, which has both financial and programmatic recommendations, speaks for itself, but I wish to highlight its core concerns and recommendations. Maryland’s highly-regarded transportation network is the lifeblood of the State, directly affecting every citizen and the essential viability of our economy. Yet the State’s transportation system finds itself on the verge of financial collapse unless action is taken now to change course for a new, more secure, heading. In fact, if you total just the number one priority of each of the 23 counties and Baltimore City, you would need an additional $12 billion.
