This study presents a methodology to prevent the overdesign of electric dispensers for dental impression materials by analyzing the necessary load and determining the appropriate pressurization speed and drive motor capacity. We derived an equation to calculate the required torque and rotational speed of the motor based on the extrusion load and the speed of the impression material. A specialized load measurement system was developed to measure the load necessary to extrude the impression material. Through experiments and image processing, we measured the radius of curvature of the trajectory of the impression material and correlated it with the pressurization speed. Techniques such as position coordinate plotting, curve fitting, and circle fitting were employed to determine the pressurization speed that aligns with the manufacturer's recommended curvature radius. These findings led to a substantial decrease in the necessary motor torque and rotational speed compared with the current standards. This research provides a systematic approach to sizing drive motors using extrusion load and pressurization speed, aiming to reduce overdesign, power consumption, and the weight and size of the motor and battery, thereby contributing to the development of more efficient and compact dental impression material dispensers. A new type of interior combined pole permanent magnet drive motor is proposed in this paper, which aims to improve the power and comfort of electric vehicles. In view of the complex magnetic circuit structure and rich harmonic magnetic field of the motor, the initial magnetic pole parameters of the rotor are determined by the equivalent magnetic circuit method. Then, aiming at the complex magnetic circuit and rich harmonic magnetic field, a multi-objective optimization method based on the Taguchi method and response surface method is proposed to reduce the cogging torque, high harmonic content in air gap magnetic flux density and increase the output torque. Based on the finite element analysis of the electromagnetic performance of the new type interior combined magnetic pole permanent magnet drive motor before and after optimization, it can be seen that the improved rotor structure can effectively reduce the torque ripple and increase the torque density. Finally, a prototype was developed and experiments were conducted, and experimental results verified the correctness of the proposed multi-objective optimization algorithm. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nowadays, energy shortages and environmental pollution have received a lot of attention, which makes the electrification of transportation systems an inevitable trend. As the core part of an electrical driving system, the electrical machine faces the extreme challenge of keeping high power density and high efficiency output under complex workin g conditions. The development and research of new soft magnetic materials has an important impact to solve the current bottleneck problems of electrical machines. In this paper, the variation trend of magnetic properties of ultra-thin grain-oriented silicon steel electrical steel (GOES) under thermal-mechanical-electric-magnetic fields is studied, and the possibility of its application in motors is explored. The magnetic properties of grain-oriented silicon steel samples under different conditions were measured by the Epstein frame method and self-built multi-physical field device. It is verified that the magnetic properties of grain-oriented silicon steel selected within 30° magnetization deviation angle are better than non-grain-oriented silicon steel. The magnetic properties of the same ultra-thin grain-oriented silicon steel as ordinary non-oriented silicon steel deteriorate with the increase in frequency. Different from conventional non-grain-oriented silicon steel, its magnetic properties will deteriorate with the increase in temperature. Under the stress of 30 Mpa, the magnetic properties of the grain-oriented silicon steel are the best; under the coupling of multiple physical fields, the change trend of magnetic properties of grain-oriented silicon steel is similar to that of single physical field, but the specific quantitative values are different. Furthermore, the application of grain-oriented silicon steel in interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPM) for electric vehicles is explored. Through a precise oriented silicon steel motor model, it is proved that the magnetic flux density of stator teeth increases by 2.2%, the electromagnetic torque of motor increases by 2.18%, and the peak efficiency increases by 1% after using grain-oriented silicon steel. In this paper, through the investigation of the characteristics of grain-oriented silicon steel, it is preliminarily verified that grain-oriented silicon steel has a great application prospect in the drive motor (IPM) of electric vehicles, and it is an effective means to break the bottleneck of current motor design. This paper establishes a test bench for a free piston expander–linear generator (FPE–LG) system coupled with the drive motor (DM) to promote the application of FPE–LG on vehicle. Firstly, it discusses the operating characteristics and output performance of the FPE–LG under the simulated operation conditions of vehicle. Meanwhile, it investigates the operating characteristics of FPE–LG under different torques and expansion times. Finally, this paper analyzes the influence of different torques and expansion times on the operating frequency of FPE–LG. The experimental results show that the operating frequency of FPE–LG is related to the expansion time and torque. The power output of the DM decreases as the torque increases, the power output of the DM increases first and then decreases as the expansion time increases. Therefore, the selection of suitable expansion time under different intake pressure plays an important role in improving the power output of the DM. The maximum of the peak power output of DM is about 25.8 W, when the intake pressure is 4 bar, the expansion time is 30 ms and the torque is 0.00571 N m.

The design objectives of the structural parameters of the tractor drive motor are diverse, and the constraints are complex. It is difficult to optimize the overall performance of the unit by using the empirical method and single-objective optimization method. This paper proposes a multi-objective optimization method for tractor drive motors based on an improved Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGA-II). Constraints are formulated according to the inherent characteristics of the motor itself and the characteristics of the tractor’s working conditions. The objective function was established with the heat loss of the drive motor and the total efficiency of the drive system. Based on the designed solution process of NSGA-II algorithm, an example optimization was carried out, and the tractor electromechanical drive system was carried out with the single-objective optimization results of the optimal energy use efficiency of the drive motor and the optimal mechanical transmission efficiency of the transmission system as the control group. The test results show that compared with the control group, the proposed multi-objective optimization method can make the overall tractor system efficiency the highest, and the maximum and rated values of the total efficiency ηq of the drive system of the multi-objective optimization design scheme. Compared with the optimal design scheme with ηme as a single objective, it was increased by 2% and 1.4%, respectively, and compared with the optimal design scheme with ηtr as a single objective, it is improved by 26.5% and 73.6%, respectively. It can provide an effective calculation method for the motor design problem in the subsequent development of the tractor electromechanical drive system.

Стаття присвячена дослідженню антипомпажних систем захисту та математичному моделюванню систем газоперекачувальних агрегатів на базі відцентрових компресорів з використанням антипомпажного клапана або байпасуванням, та змішаною системою захисту. Проведено огляд існуючих систем антипомпажного захисту газоперекачувальних агрегатів, який дозволив виявити ряд недоліків при використанні антипомпажного клапану або системи байпасування. Запропонована змішана система антипомпажного захисту з одночасним використанням антипомпажного клапану та системи байпасування. Запропонована послідовність роботи змішаної системи антипомпажного захисту. Наведена структурна схема електромеханічної системи відцентровий компресор – антипомпажний клапан – двигун постійного струму з системою автоматичного керування. Отримані перехідні процеси з використання антипомпажного клапану, байпасування, та змішаної антипомпажної системи. Наведені висновки, які підкреслюють актуальність проведених досліджень та підви щення енергоефективності антипомпажної системи захисту відцентрових компресорів.

Purpose. In difficult economic conditions, cost reduction of electricity consumption for the needs of production is an urgent task for the country’s industrial enterprises. Technical specifications of enterprises, which repair diesel locomotive hydraulic transmission, recommend conducting a certain amount of evaluation and regulatory tests to monitor their condition after repair. Experience shows that a significant portion of hydraulic transmission defects is revealed by bench tests. The advantages of bench tests include the ability to detect defects after repair, ease of maintenance of the hydraulic transmission and relatively low labour intensity for eliminating defects. The quality of these tests results in the transmission resource and its efficiency. Improvement of the technology of plant post-repairs hydraulic tests in order to reduce electricity consumption while testing. Methodology. The possible options for hydraulic transmission test bench improvement were analysed. There was proposed an energy efficiency method for diesel locomotive hydraulic transmission testing in locomotive repair plant environment. This is achieved by installing additional drive motor which receives power from the load generator. Findings. Based on the conducted analysis the necessity of improving the plant stand testing of hydraulic transmission was proved. The variants of the stand modernization were examined. The test stand modernization analysis was conducted. Originality. The possibility of using electric power load generator to power the stand electric drive motor or the additional drive motor was theoretically substantiated. Practical value. A variant of hydraulic transmission test stand based on the mutual load method was proposed. Using this method increases the hydraulic transmission load range and power consumption by stand remains unchanged. The additional drive motor will increase the speed of the input shaft that in its turn wil allow testing in closer to real conditions as a result of increased load on the hydraulic transmission. Increased load on the hydraulic transmission will help to detect possible defects and hence will improve the quality of transmission repairs.

High‐temperature gas cooled reactor cooling medium drive motor is a unique driving equipment for coolant circulation in a reactor. The reliability of the motor is becoming increasingly vital to the stable operation of the reactor. To study the influence of the ventilation structure on the temperature distribution of a drive motor, the ventilation network model of the motor was developed using the fluid network method, the results of the ventilation system calculations were applied to the physical model as boundary conditions, and the temperature distribution was determined using the finite volume method. Meanwhile, two improvement schemes were proposed for the ventilation structure, and the influence of the ventilation duct geometrical dimension on the temperature distribution was investigated. Results show that the use of the proposed improvement schemes improved the utilisation rate of the coolant and reduced the maximum temperature of the motor by 5.7°C compared with the original structure. Furthermore, the validity of the calculation results was verified by comparing its results with test data. The maximum calculation error between the calculated results and test data was ∼9%. The paper aims to present an experimental model of the installation designed to determine, under laboratory conditions, some functional parameters of disc brakes testing scenario as well as the thermal effect produced on them. The braking torque, speeds, brake pad material temperatures as well as the functional parameters of the electric motor can be measured on the model shown.
