- Abstract
The development of public spaces both parks and sports facilities requires grass. The use of humic acid is useful as a soil conditioner and addition to the input of organic matter, humic acid can improve the physical, chemical and biological properties of the planting medium. Calcium is needed in the process of plant growth and development, especially in plant roots and shoots. The purpose of this research activity was to study the effect of a combination of humic acid and calcium fertilizer on the growth of Bermuda grass and to determine the right dosage of humic acid and calcium fertilizer for the best growth of Bermuda grass. The research was conducted in February-May. The research was conducted in Kepanjen, East Java. The study was conducted using randomized block design (RBD) which consisted of 9 treatments. The yield parameters observed were the number of houses, root length, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, and percentage of cover. The data obtained from the observations were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The test for differences in treatment mean values is tested by the Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) test at the 5% level. Based on the research that has been done, the dose of humic acid 40 kg ha-1 + calcium fertilizer 0 kg ha-1 has shown a fairly good response to the growth of Bermuda grass. Treatment at these doses is more cost-effective than treatment doses with the addition of calcium fertilizer which does not show a significant difference. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
