Este Trabajo Fin de Grado (TFG) busca mejorar la gestión académica de la información de ordenación académica de las titulaciones de la ETS de Ingenieros Informáticos, empezando por las comisiones académicas de las titulaciones de grado. Esto es necesario ya que en estas comisiones participan coordinadores de titulación, profesores coordinadores de asignaturas y representantes de estudiantes y los cambios sobre esa información se capturan y gestionan de forma manual, lo que ocasiona en la actualidad problemas de actualización y corrección de la información. Con este TFG se ha buscado conseguir a través de herramientas de Microsoft Office 365, principalmente Power Apps, SharePoint, Power Automate, Excel y Teams facilitar la carga, actualización y publicación de información sobre las comisiones académicas. Se plantea parte de un sistema de automatización de los datos de comisiones académicas en el cual se podrá hacer captura de parte de la información y la publicación de esta en los equipos de Microsoft Teams de la escuela. Para desarrollar este TFG se parte del Trabajo de Carlos Rivas Pérez, que exploró la viabilidad técnica de utilizar los servicios de Office 365 para la gestión de información de ordenación académica de la Escuela. Este libro trata de la parte de la ciencia forestal dedicada a la medición de las dimensiones y edad de los árboles individuales, al estudio de su forma, y a la determinación de su volumen y crecimiento. Para ello se divide en ocho capítulos en los que, tras uno primero introductorio en el que se describen principalmente los sistemas de medición, los errores que se pueden cometer y la simbología utilizada en el campo forestal, se desarrolla sucesivamente el estudio de diámetros, alturas, forma, volumen, crecimiento, copa, espesor de corteza, edad y biomasa del árbol individual, profundizando tanto en conceptos teóricos como en los aparatos diseñados específicamente para medir dichas variables. Finalmente, se dedica un capítulo entero al estudio y manejo del relascopio de Bitterlich. Por tanto, este libro trata de cubrir una parte de la Dasometría que es la base imprescindible para el Inventario, la Selvicultura, la Ordenación de Montes y la Valoración Forestal. En definitiva, este libro, que pretende completar la escasa bibliografía en castellano existente sobre Dendrometría, y Dasometría en general, es un útil texto para los estudiantes de la ciencia forestal, una práctica guía sobre el manejo de los principales aparatos de medición dasométricos y, en general, un sencillo libro de consulta y referencia para todas aquellas personas relacionadas profesionalmente o interesadas en el sector forestal

This study aimed to improve the performance of epoxy resin coatings for protecting concrete structures from chemical corrosion and surface abrasion. The research involved incorporating FeO nanoparticles into a carbonaceous matrix in a two-part epoxy resin coating. Concrete slabs with the modified coating underwent accelerated ageing under harsh conditions. It was found that the nanomodified coatings showed a significant improvement in performance compared to unmodified coatings. The effect of the amount of composite added to the epoxy system was analyzed. Results show that adding 3 wt% of the synthesized FeO nanoparticles into a graphite carbonaceous matrix offered the most promising adhesion values. Moreover, adding 3 wt% of the composite into epoxy resin fulfilled a compromise between adhesion improvement and limiting solubility. Finally, it was found a reduction in the number of nanoparticles emitted after ageing. Overall, the incorporation of FeO nanoparticles into epoxy resin coatings shows potential for improving their performance and durability.

Insect and disease outbreaks in forests are biotic disturbances that can profoundly alter ecosystem dynamics. In many parts of the world, these disturbance regimes are intensifying as the climate changes and shifts the distribution of species and biomes. As a result, key forest ecosystem services, such as carbon sequestration, regulation of water flows, wood production, protection of soils, and the conservation of biodiversity, could be increasingly compromised. Despite the relevance of these detrimental effects, there are currently no spatially detailed databases that record insect and disease disturbances on forests at the pan-European scale. Here, we present the new Database of European Forest Insect and Disease Disturbances (DEFID2). It comprises over 650,000 harmonized georeferenced records, mapped as polygons or points, of insects and disease disturbances that occurred between 1963 and 2021 in European forests. The records currently span eight different countries and were acquired through diverse methods (e.g., ground surveys, remote sensing techniques). The records in DEFID2 are described by a set of qualitative attributes, including severity and patterns of damage symptoms, agents, host tree species, climate-driven trigger factors, silvicultural practices, and eventual sanitary interventions. They are further complemented with a satellite-based quantitative characterization of the affected forest areas based on Landsat Normalized Burn Ratio time series, and damage metrics derived from them using the LandTrendr spectral-temporal segmentation algorithm (including onset, duration, magnitude, and rate of the disturbance), and possible interactions with windthrow and wildfire events. The DEFID2 database is a novel resource for many large-scale applications dealing with biotic disturbances. El objetivo de este trabajo fin de grado será emplear conocimientos de programación, electrónica, control y robótica para dotar al UGV Rosbot 2.0 Pro de un sistema de medición de radiación solar avanzado. La idea será implementar el sistema en su conjunto para aplicaciones de eficiencia solar. El sistema de medición se basará en acoplar un sensor solar de la compañía Solar Mems Technologies a una estructura mecánica denominada Pan & Tilt. Dicha estructura utiliza el movimiento de dos servomotores que permitirá ajustar la posición del sensor solar lo más perpendicular posible a los rayos de Sol. De esta forma conseguiremos obtener una medida más precisa, pudiendo aprovechar así la precisión que puede llegar a proporcionar el sensor solar. El microcontrolador encargado de realizar el control de nuestro sistema de medida será el Arduino Nano 33 IoT. A su vez, este mismo estará comunicado con el sistema operativo del robot móvil (ROS) mediante comunicación serie con el fin de intercambiar datos cada vez que sea requerido. Por su parte, el UGV, mediante el entorno ROS, será el encargado de realizar los cálculos necesarios para el control. Queremos obtener conclusiones sobre si, utilizando este sistema medida, somos capaces de estimar la radiación solar de forma más precisa., The aim of this Final Degree Project will be to use knowledge of programming, electronics, control and robotics to provide the UGV Rosbot 2.0 Pro UGV with an advanced solar radiation measurement system. The goal will be to implement the system for Solar efficiency applications. The measurement system will be based on coupling a solar sensor from Solar Mems Technologies to a mechanical structure called Pan & Tilt. This structure uses the movement of two servomotors to adjust the position of the solar sensor as perpendicular as possible to the Sun’s rays. Thereby, we will be able to obtain an accurate measurement, thus being able to improve the accuracy that the solar sensor can provide. The microcontroller in charge of controlling our measurement system will be an Arduino Nano 33 IoT. It will be also connected to the operating system of the mobile robot (ROS) through serial communication to exchange data whenever necessary. The UGV, through the ROS environment, will be in charge of performing the required calculations for control. We want to obtain conclusions about if it is worth to use the measurement system to estimate an accurate value for solar radiation.

The Asian chestnut gall wasp, Dryocosmus kuriphilus Yasumatsu, 1951 (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae), is a parthenogenetic species original from China that rapidly invaded Europe since its detection in 2002. The wasps lay eggs in the buds of chestnut trees (Castanea spp.) inducing galls on leaves, stipule, flowers and shoots. The consequences are significant economic damage due to a reduction of nuts and wood production, as well as a progressive decrease in tree vigour, which can make the tree susceptible to other secondary pests. We report here the results of a 4-year study of this species conducted in Galicia (NW of Iberian Peninsula), one of the most important areas for chestnut production in southern Europe. The insect was detected in 2014 but was apparently present at least two years earlier. It has since spread rapidly throughout the territory. It mainly dispersed naturally, although some long distance dispersal events influenced the rate of spread across the landscape. Population abundance varies throughout the territory, and we were able to establish hotspot and coldspot areas, mainly associated with maximum temperatures in the summer months. At a local scale, the trees attacked by D. kuriphilus and the number of galls on each tree were spatially clustered in the first years from the invasion. Tree height significantly predicted both variables, suggesting that gall wasps may use visual cues to locate suitable host trees, at least in the early stage of invasion. The species showed a rapid recruitment of native parasitoids: three years after detection we found 19 species of native parasitoids attacking D. kuriphilus in Galicia. Percent parasitism by native parasitoids decreased greatly with time since introduction. This was because galls became larger, more thickly walled, and with more individuals per gall as the abundance of D. kuriphilus increased. Per capita growth rate of D. kuriphilus was linearly density dependent with an apparent equilibrium of 5.2 galls/shoot
