1. Effects of solid-state fermentation product of yeast supplementation on liver and intestinal health, and resistance of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) against spring viraemia carp virus

Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the effects of solid-state fermentation products of yeast (SFPY) on liver and intestinal health and disease resistance of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). A total of 200 common carp with an initial average weight of 2.55 ± 0.004 g were divided into 5 groups (4 replications per group and 10 fish per replication), and were fed with one of five diets, including a control diet and 4 diets supplemented with 2‰ (Y2), 3‰ (Y3), 4‰ (Y4), or 5‰ (Y5) SFPY, respectively, for 8 weeks. Results indicated that, the addition of SFPY to the diet of common carp did not affect the growth performance or survival rate of fish (P = 0.253). Interestingly, with the addition of SFPY, the triacylglycerol (TAG) content of the liver presented a linear decreasing tendency (P = 0.004), with significantly decreased in Y4 and Y5 groups (P = 0.035) compared with control. Serum lipopolysaccharide (LPS) content and diamine oxidase (DAO) activity presented a negative linear relationship with the addition of SFPY (P = 0.015, P = 0.030), while serum lipopolysaccharide binding protein (LBP) content first decreased and then increased (P

Abstract: Fish gut barrier damage under intensive culture model is a significant concern for aquaculture industry. This study aimed to investigate the effects of bile acids (BAs) on gut barriers in Micropterus salmoides. A germ-free (GF) zebraﬁsh model was employed to elucidate the effects of the direct stimulation of BAs and the indirect regulations mediated by the gut microbiota on gut barrier functions. Four diets were formulated with BAs supplemented at 0, 150, 300 and 450 mg/kg, and these 4 diets were defined as control, BA150, BA300 and BA450, respectively. After 5 weeks of feeding experiment, the survival rate of fish fed with BA300 diet was increased (P 0.05). Abstract: This study aimed to explore whether the substitution of basic pellet feed by different proportions of moist fermented pellet feed affect the growth performance, liver and gut health, and intestinal microbiota structure of common carp (Cyprinus carpio). The experiment was divided into 5 groups: the control group was fed with the basic pellet feed, and the treatment groups were fed with the feed that moist fermented pelleted feed (MFF) substituted 5% (MFF5), 10% (MFF10), 15% (MFF15) and 20% (MFF20) of the basic pellet feed. Feeding trial was lasted 8 weeks. The results showed that the feed efficiency of MFF10 groups was significantly higher than that of control group. MFF replacement had no significant effect on the weight again and survival rate of C. carpio compared with Control. In addition, MFF substitution showed that the liver anti-inflammatory factors TGF-β in MFF groups except MFF5 group showed a significant upward trend, liver IL-10 of MFF15 and MFF20 groups and intestinal TNF-α of MFF10 were significantly higher than those of control group. Abstract: The physics potential of detecting ^8 B solar neutrinos will be exploited at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), in a model-independent manner by using three distinct channels of the charged current (CC), neutral current (NC), and elastic scattering (ES) interactions. Due to the largest-ever mass of ^13 C nuclei in the liquid scintillator detectors and the expected low background level, ^8 B solar neutrinos are observable in the CC and NC interactions on ^13 C for the first time. By virtue of optimized event selections and muon veto strategies, backgrounds from the accidental coincidence, muon-induced isotopes, and external backgrounds can be greatly suppressed. Excellent signal-to-background ratios can be achieved in the CC, NC, and ES channels to guarantee the observation of the ^8 B solar neutrinos. From the sensitivity studies performed in this work, we show that JUNO, with 10 yr of data, can reach the 1 σ precision levels of 5%, 8%, and 20% for the ^8 B neutrino flux, ${\sin }^{2}{\theta }_{12}$ , and ${\rm{\Delta }}{m}_{21}^{2}$ , respectively. Probing the details of both solar physics and neutrino physics would be unique and helpful. In addition, when combined with the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory measurement, the world's best precision of 3% is expected for the measurement of the ^8 B neutrino flux.

Abstract: Abstract Main goal of the JUNO experiment is to determine the neutrino mass ordering using a 20 kt liquid-scintillator detector. Its key feature is an excellent energy resolution of at least 3% at 1 MeV, for which its instruments need to meet a certain quality and thus have to be fully characterized. More than 20,000 20-inch PMTs have been received and assessed by JUNO after a detailed testing program which began in 2017 and elapsed for about four years. Based on this mass characterization and a set of specific requirements, a good quality of all accepted PMTs could be ascertained. This paper presents the performed testing procedure with the designed testing systems as well as the statistical characteristics of all 20-inch PMTs intended to be used in the JUNO experiment, covering more than fifteen performance parameters including the photocathode uniformity. This constitutes the largest sample of 20-inch PMTs ever produced and studied in detail to date, i.e. 15,000 of the newly developed 20-inch MCP-PMTs from Northern Night Vision Technology Co. (NNVT) and 5000 of dynode PMTs from Hamamatsu Photonics K. K.(HPK).

Abstract: To assessed the effects of solid-state fermentation product of yeast (SFPY) supplementation on high-fat diet (HFD) induced challenges on growth, hepatic lipid metabolism, epidermal mucus, intestine and liver health and gut microbiota in zebrafish (Danio rerio), four experimental diets were prepared for one-month-old zebrafish: basal diet (Control), high-fat diet (HFD), 0.5% SFPY (0.5 SFPY) or 1.0% SFPY (1.0 SFPY)-added HFD. After 3 weeks of feeding, the results illustrated that although HFD increased weight gain (WG), corresponding decreased the feed conversation ratio (FCR), it caused negative influences including liver steatosis, intestinal and liver damage in zebrafish. Abstract: Abstract We study damping signatures at the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), a medium-baseline reactor neutrino oscillation experiment. These damping signatures are motivated by various new physics models, including quantum decoherence, ν 3 decay, neutrino absorption, and wave packet decoherence. The phenomenological effects of these models can be characterized by exponential damping factors at the probability level. We assess how well JUNO can constrain these damping parameters and how to disentangle these different damping signatures at JUNO. Compared to current experimental limits, JUNO can significantly improve the limits on τ 3/m 3 in the ν 3 decay model, the width of the neutrino wave packet σ x , and the intrinsic relative dispersion of neutrino momentum σ rel.

Abstract: Abstract The OSIRIS detector is a subsystem of the liquid scintillator filling chain of the JUNO reactor neutrino experiment. Its purpose is to validate the radiopurity of the scintillator to assure that all components of the JUNO scintillator system work to specifications and only neutrino-grade scintillator is filled into the JUNO Central Detector. The aspired sensitivity level of $$10^{-16}\hbox { g/g}$$ 10 - 16 g/g of $$^{238}\hbox {U}$$ 238 U and $$^{232}\hbox {Th}$$ 232 Th requires a large ( $$\sim 20\,\hbox {m}^3$$ ∼ 20 m 3 ) detection volume and ultralow background levels. The present paper reports on the design and major components of the OSIRIS detector, the detector simulation as well as the measuring strategies foreseen and the sensitivity levels to U/Th that can be reached in this setup.

Abstract: Abstract JUNO is a massive liquid scintillator detector with a primary scientific goal of determining the neutrino mass ordering by studying the oscillated anti-neutrino flux coming from two nuclear power plants at 53 km distance. The expected signal anti-neutrino interaction rate is only 60 counts per day (cpd), therefore a careful control of the background sources due to radioactivity is critical. In particular, natural radioactivity present in all materials and in the environment represents a serious issue that could impair the sensitivity of the experiment if appropriate countermeasures were not foreseen. In this paper we discuss the background reduction strategies undertaken by the JUNO collaboration to reduce at minimum the impact of natural radioactivity. We describe our efforts for an optimized experimental design, a careful material screening and accurate detector production handling, and a constant control of the expected results through a meticulous Monte Carlo simulation program. We show that all these actions should allow us to keep the background count rate safely below the target value of 10 Hz (i.e. ∼1 cpd accidental background) in the default fiducial volume, above an energy threshold of 0.7 MeV.

Abstract: Abstract Atmospheric neutrinos are one of the most relevant natural neutrino sources that can be exploited to infer properties about cosmic rays and neutrino oscillations. The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) experiment, a 20 kton liquid scintillator detector with excellent energy resolution is currently under construction in China. JUNO will be able to detect several atmospheric neutrinos per day given the large volume. A study on the JUNO detection and reconstruction capabilities of atmospheric $$\nu _e$$ ν e and $$\nu _\mu $$ ν μ fluxes is presented in this paper. In this study, a sample of atmospheric neutrino Monte Carlo events has been generated, starting from theoretical models, and then processed by the detector simulation. The excellent timing resolution of the 3” PMT light detection system of JUNO detector and the much higher light yield for scintillation over Cherenkov allow to measure the time structure of the scintillation light with very high precision. Since $$\nu _e$$ ν e and $$\nu _\mu $$ ν μ interactions produce a slightly different light pattern, the different time evolution of light allows to discriminate the flavor of primary neutrinos. A probabilistic unfolding method has been used, in order to infer the primary neutrino energy spectrum from the detector experimental observables. The simulated spectrum has been reconstructed between 100 MeV and 10 GeV, showing a great potential of the detector in the atmospheric low energy region.

Abstract: Abstract We present the calibration strategy for the 20 kton liquid scintillator central detector of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO). By utilizing a comprehensive multiple-source and multiple-positional calibration program, in combination with a novel dual calorimetry technique exploiting two independent photosensors and readout systems, we demonstrate that the JUNO central detector can achieve a better than 1% energy linearity and a 3% effective energy resolution, required by the neutrino mass ordering determination.

15. Maximum likelihood reconstruction for the Daya Bay Experiment

Abstract: The Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino experiment is designed to precisely determine the neutrino mixing angle theta13. In this paper, we report a maximum likelihood (ML) method to reconstruct the vertex and energy of events in the anti-neutrino detector, based on a simplified optical model that describes light propagation. We calibrate the key paramters of the optical model with Co60 source, by comparing the predicted charges of the PMTs with the observed charges. With the optimized parameters, the resolution of the vertex reconstruction is about 25cm for Co60 gamma.

Abstract: We studied the temperature dependence of the light yield of the linear alkyl benzene (LAB)-based and mesitylene-based liquid scintillators. The light yield increases by 23% for both liquid scintillators when the temperature is lowered from $26\;^{\circ}$C to $-40\;^{\circ }$C, correcting for the temperature response of the photomultiplier tube. The measurements help to understand the energy response of the liquid scintillator detectors. Especially, the next generation reactor neutrino experiments for neutrino mass hierarchy, such as the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), require very high energy resolution. As no apparent degradation on the liquid scintillator transparency was observed, lowering the operation temperature of the detector to $\sim4\;^\circ$C will increase the photoelectron yield of the detector by 13%, combining the light yield increase of the liquid scintillator and the quantum efficiency increase of the photomultiplier tubes.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the quantitative material decomposition performance of the dual-energy CT (DECT) and differential phase contrast CT (DPCT) via numerical observer studies.The electron density (The model observer results show that the DECT is superior to DPCT at 0.3 mm spatial resolution (300 mm object size); the DECT and DPCT show similar quantitative imaging performance at 0.1 mm spatial resolution (100 mm object size); and the DPCT outperforms the DECT by approximately 1.5 times for the 0.3 mm sized imaging target at 0.03 mm spatial resolution (30 mm object size).In conclusion, the DECT would be recommended to obtain

Abstract: Background: Although some improvements in the management of pancreatic cancer (PC) have been made, no major breakthroughs in terms of biomarker discovery or effective treatment have emerged. Here, we applied artificial intelligence (AI)-based methods to develop a model to diagnose PC and predict survival outcome.Methods: Multiple bioinformatics methods, including RankProd, were performed to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) in PC. A Back Propagation (BP) model was constructed, followed by Genetic Algorithm (GA) filtering and verification of its prognosis capacity in the TCGA cohort. Furthermore, we validated the protein expression of the selected DEGs in 92 clinical PC tissues using immunohistochemistry.Results: Four candidate genes (LCN2, SLC6A14, SPOCK1, and VCAN) were selected to establish a four-gene signature for PC. The gene signature was validated in the TCGA PC cohort, and found to show satisfactory discrimination and prognostic power. Areas under the curve (AUC) values of overall survival were both greater than 0.60 in the TCGA training cohort, test cohort, and the entire cohort. Kaplan-Meier analyses showed that high-risk group had a significantly shorter overall survival and disease-free survival than the low-risk group. Further, the elevated expression of SLC6A14 and SPOCK1 in PC tissues was validated in the TCGA+GETx datasets and 92 clinical PC tissues, and was significantly associated with poor survival in PC.Conclusions: Using RankProd and GA-ANN, we developed and validated a diagnostic and prognostic gene signature that yielded excellent predictive capacity for PC patients’ survival.

25. Warpage Behavior Study and Optimization for Ultra-Thin POP Memory with Multi-Stacked Chips

Abstract: The POP advanced electronic packaging type is widely used in high-end chips because of its huge advantages comparing to the traditional packaging. Electrically, POP offers benefits by minimizing track length between different chips or packages. This brings better electrical performance of devices, since shorter routing of interconnections yields faster signal propagation and reduced noise and cross-talk. Furthermore, it has both the flexibility of the supply chain and cost control for the system integration. Most importantly, the yield rate is guaranteed due to the bottom and upper components of the POP have been packaged and tested. However, as the chip size increasing and multi dies stacking, POP products will meet great technical challenges, among them, the warpage problem is one of the most important issues. With the ultra-thin trend of POP, the warpage will be too sensitive to predict empirically. There are many factors to affect warpage, including mold compound material and substrate selection, package structure design, and assembly process control etc. In this article, the FEA simulation model and warpage behavior are analyzed for ultrathin POP memory. To improve the model's prediction accuracy, the viscoelastic property of the mold compound material was measured and fitted, the results from the viscoelastic warpage models show well correlation with the shadow moire testing data. Factors sensitivity analysis are also studied for warpage prediction and optimization, which can guide the selection of the mold component material, substrate and optimization of the structure design.

Abstract: The Cu-Mo polymetallic deposits are widespread in the Chizhou region, the Middle and Lower Yangtze River metallogenic belt, eastern China, but the formation of Cu-Mo polymetallic deposits remains unclear. Geochronological, geochemical and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopic compositions of the Cu-Mo polymetallic deposits in the Chizhou region are systemically investigated to reveal the formation of Cu-Mo polymetallic deposits and petrogenesis of the granodiorite (porphyry). The geochronological dating results show the formation ages of Cu-Mo polymetallic deposits (molybdenite Re-Os age, 151–148 Ma) and the granodiorites (porphyries) (zircon U-Pb age, 150–146 Ma) in the Chizhou region are simultaneous (within error). The Chizhou granodiorites (porphyries) (SiO2 = 62.9–65.7 wt%) are high-K calc-alkaline peraluminous I-type granodiorites. They have high Mg# (mainly >40) values and low Na2O ( 0.2 wt%), and high log fO2 values (−28.3 to −6.22). The distinctly chemical and isotopic compositions indicate that the Chizhou granodiorites formed from metasomatized mantle-derived magmas mixing with Neoproterozoic crustal components. The results indicate that the formation of the Cu-Mo polymetallic deposits in the Chizhou region may depend on the slab-derived Cl-enriched fluids, an oxidizing environment and a mantle-crust mixed source.

Abstract: We present the calibration strategy for the 20 kton liquid scintillator central detector of the Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO). By utilizing a comprehensive multiple-source and multiple-positional calibration program, in combination with a novel dual calorimetry technique exploiting two independent photosensors and readout systems, we demonstrate that the JUNO central detector can achieve a better than 1% energy linearity and a 3% effective energy resolution, required by the neutrino mass ordering determination. Abstract: Abstract Colloidal semiconductor nanoplatelets (NPLs) have emerged as low‐cost and free‐standing alternates of traditional quantum wells. The giant heavy‐ and light‐hole splitting in NPLs allows for efficient optical spin injection. However, the electron spin lifetimes for prototypical CdSe NPLs are within a few picoseconds, likely limited by strong electron‐hole exchange in these quantum‐ and dielectric‐confined materials. Here how this hurdle can be overcome with engineered NPL‐heterostructures is demonstrated. By constructing type‐I CdSe/ZnS core/shell NPLs, dielectric screening inside the core is strongly enhanced, prolonging the electron spin polarization time (τesp) to over 30 ps (or 60 ps electron spin‐flip time). Alternatively, by growing type‐II CdSe/CdTe core/crown NPLs to spatially separate electron and hole wavefunctions, the electron‐hole exchange is strongly suppressed, resulting in τesp as long as 300 ps at room temperature. This study not only exemplifies how the well‐established synthetic chemistry of colloidal heterostructures can aid in spin dynamics control but also establishes the feasibility of room‐temperature coherent spin manipulation in colloidal NPLs.

Abstract: In this study, we investigated the mechanistic role of the long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) AC092171.4 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). AC092171.4 was significantly upregulated in HCC tumor tissues compared to normal liver tissues. HCC patients with high AC092171.4 expression showed poorer overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) than those with low AC092171.4 expression. In vitro cell proliferation, migration and invasiveness were all higher in AC092171.4-overexpressing HCC cells, but lower in AC092171.4-silenced HCC cells, than in controls. Balb/c nude mice injected with AC092171.4-silenced HCC cells had smaller xenograft tumors, which showed less growth and pulmonary metastasis than control tumors. Bioinformatics analyses and dual luciferase reporter assays confirmed that AC092171.4 binds directly to miR-1271, which targets the 3'UTR of GRB2 mRNA. AC092171.4 expression correlates negatively with miR1271 expression and correlates positively with GRB2 mRNA expression in HCC tissues from patients. HCC cells co-transfected with miR-1271 mimics and sh-AC092171.4 show less proliferation, migration, invasiveness, GRB2 protein, and epithelial to mesencyhmal transition (EMT) than sh-AC092171.4-transfected HCC cells. These findings demonstrate that AC092171.4 promotes growth and progression of HCC by sponging miR-1271 and upregulating GRB2. This makes AC092171.4 a potential prognostic indicator and therapeutic target for HCC patients.

Abstract: To investigate whether nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) activation is involved in chronic normobaric hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension (PH), rats were treated with saline or an NF-κB inhibitor, pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC, 150 mg/kg, sc, twice daily), and exposed to normoxia or chronic normobaric hypoxia with a fraction of inspired oxygen of ∼0.1 for 14 days. Lung tissue levels of NF-κB activity, and interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, and cyclooxygenase-2 mRNAs, were determined, and mean pulmonary arterial pressure, right ventricular hypertrophy, and right heart function were evaluated. Compared to the normoxia exposure group, rats exposed to chronic normobaric hypoxia showed an increased NF-κB activity, measured by increased nuclear translocation of p50 and p65 proteins, an increased inflammatory gene expression in the lungs, elevated mean pulmonary arterial blood pressure and mean right ventricular pressure, right ventricular hypertrophy, as assessed by right ventricle-to-left ventricle plus septum weight ratio, and right heart dysfunction. Treatment of hypoxia-exposed rats with PDTC inhibited NF-κB activity, decreased pulmonary arterial blood pressure and right ventricular pressure, and ameliorated right ventricular hypertrophy and right heart dysfunction. Hypoxia exposure increased protein kinase C activity and promoted pulmonary artery smooth muscle cell proliferation in vitro. Our data suggest that NF-κB activation may contribute to chronic normobaric hypoxia-induced PH.

Abstract: Relative light yield of linear alkyl benzene (LAB)-based gadolinium-loaded liquid scintillator (GdLS) and LAB-based non-gadolinium loaded liquid scintillator (LS) is an important parameter of the GdLS antineutrino detector, which was developed and applied to precisely measure the neutrino oscillation parameter in the current reactor neutrino experiments. We introduce a method which can precisely measure the relative light yield of liquid scintillators. By comparing the peak value of the energy spectrum of recoiled electrons, the light yield of the LS is measured to be 3.6 ± 2.0 %higher than the 0.1 %-by-weight GdLS.

Abstract: In this paper, we study variations of a plastic scintillator tile coupled to silicon photomultiplier via a dome-shaped cavity originally developed in the CALICE collaboration. Four kinds of plastic scintillator detector cells with different sizes based on the structure were studied for applications in analog readout highly granular hadronic calorimeter (AHCAL) in future circular electron positron collider (CEPC) project. The responses to cosmic rays of the detector cells could reach 33.89 p.e./MIPs (minimum ionizing particles). The good results of both response uniformity and MIP detection efficiency (above 95%) show that the detector cells with larger sizes ( $$40\times 40\times 3$$ and $$50\times 50\times 3\,\hbox {mm}^{3}$$ ) could provide an option for AHCAL detector cells of CEPC detectors.

And in the actual situation, the properties is not just 0 or 1, it is likely to between 0 and 1, so the satisfaction degree is different, and the negotiation strategy need to be quantified. This paper analyzes the fuzzy negotiation process, in order to improve the trust establishment in high efficiency and accuracy further.

Abstract: In order to assess dietary arginine requirement for juvenile golden pompano, an experiment of six different diets with six dietary arginine levels (2.05%, 2.38%, 2.65%, 2.98%, 3.25% and 3.58%) was conducted. The results showed that the content of dietary arginine had a significant effect on weight gain (WG), specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion rate (FCR) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) of golden pompano (P 0.05). Dietary arginine content had a significant effect on serum and hepatic total nitric oxide synthase and lysozyme activities as well as survival rate in a Vibrio harveyi challenge experiment (P < 0.05). Quadratic regression analysis on WG, SGR, FCR and PER indicated that the recommended optimum dietary arginine level for optimal growth of juvenile pompano was 2.73–2.74% of the dry diet, corresponding to 6.32–6.35% of dietary protein.

This study aims to determine the correlation of single-nucleotide polymorphisms in the VEGF gene with the prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). The VEGF –460T/C gene polymorphisms in the genomic DNA of the blood samples of 338 patients with NPC were investigated through polymerase chain reaction and direct DNA sequencing. Results showed a significant association between the –460C-allele carriers and the aggressive forms of NPC as defined by stages N2–3 (odds ratio =1.820, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.118–2.962, P=0.015). Furthermore, the VEGF –460T/C polymorphism was significantly associated with 3-year overall survival (OS), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), and progression-free survival (PFS) (T/C + C/C vs T/T: 3-year OS 78.8% vs 95.1%, P=0.003; 3-year DMFS 80.2% vs 90.6%, P=0.036; 3-year PFS 73.9% vs 86.7%, P=0.042) but was not associated with the local recurrence-free survival (LRFS) of the patients. The multivariate analysis indicated that the VEGF –460C-allele carrier was an independent significant prognostic factor for OS (hazard ratio [HR] 4.096, 95% CI: 1.333–12.591, P=0.014). N classification was an independent significant prognostic factor for DMFS in patients with locoregionally advanced NPC (HR 3.674, 95% CI: 1.144–11.792, P=0.029). However, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) followed by concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) was not superior to CCRT alone in terms of the 3-year OS, LRFS, DMFS, and PFS of patients with VEGF –460T/C polymorphism. In conclusion, the VEGF –460T/C gene polymorphism may negatively affect the clinical outcomes of patients with NPC and may be considered a potential prognostic factor for this disease. 40. Smooth Cu electrodeposition for Cu(In, Ga)Se2 thin-film solar cells: Dendritic clusters elimination by Ag buffer layer

Abstract: Smooth and compact Cu(In, Ga)Se2 (CIGSe) thin film is critical to prepare high-quality solar cells. However, the ”dendritic” morphology of Cu tends to form on Mo leading to a nonuniform Cu distribution during the electrodeposition process, which affects the uniformity of CIGSe and device performance. In this work, Ag was used as the underlying buffer layer and Cu was electrodeposited on Ag film instead of Mo film. By adjusting deposition parameters, smooth and compact Ag layer was obtained on the Mo surface. With the Ag buffer layer, the ”dendritic” Cu on Mo was successfully eliminated. The electrodeposited Ag/Cu/In/Ga metal precursors were annealed in Se-containing atmosphere at 450 °C∼550 °C for 15min to prepare (Ag, Cu)(In, Ga)Se2 (ACIGSe) absorbers. Compared with the CIGSe absorber, the crystallinity of the ACIGSe absorber was improved. The VOC, JSC, FF and efficiency of ACIGSe solar cells were improved compared with CIGSe solar cells. Ultimately, an 11.73% efficiency of ACIGSe thin-film solar cells was obtained.

Abstract: There are some problems in the design of three-dimensional visualization teaching resources, such as less involved in interactive design, no unified design standards, the lack of effective innovation guidance mechanism and no unified evaluation system. Based on the design principle, taking amino acids as an example, this paper proposes a design plan for 3D visualization resources in teaching scenarios. According to the design scheme, the three-dimensional visualization resources are made. The main processes include the selection of the tools, the preparation and production of the material, the writing of the script, the design of the learning interface, the design of the interactive logic relationship and the control and output of the program. Finally, the three-dimensional visualization resources are used in the future classrooms with starC electronic double board and group touch screen, and the results are analyzed and evaluated. It is found that the three-dimensional visualization resources can effectively improve the students' interest in learning and help students understand knowledge.

Abstract: BackgroundEating disorders (EDs) and depression are common in university students, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of this study was to elucidate characteristics of EDs and depression symptoms networks among Chinese university students in the later stage of the COVID-19 pandemic in China.MethodsA total of 929 university students completed the SCOFF questionnaire measuring EDs and Patient Health Questionnaire with 9 items (PHQ-9) measuring depression in Guangzhou, China. The network model was applied to identify central symptoms, bridge symptoms, and important connections between SCOFF and PHQ-9 using R studio. The subgroup analyses of both genders in medical and non-medical students were further explored.ResultsIn the networks of the whole sample, central symptoms included “Loss of control over eating” (EDs) and “Appetite changes” (depression). The bridge connections were between “Loss of control over eating” (EDs) and “Appetite changes” (depression), between “Deliberate vomiting” (EDs) and “Thoughts of death” (depression). “Appetite changes” (depression) and “Feeling of worthlessness” (depression) were central symptoms in both subgroups of medical and non-medical students. “Fatigue” (depression) was the central symptom in the female and medical students group. The edge between “Loss of control over eating” (EDs) and “Appetite changes” (depression) acted as a bridge in all subgroups.ConclusionSocial network approaches offered promising ways of further understanding the association between EDs and depression among university students during the pandemic of COVID-19 in China. Investigations targeting central and bridge symptoms would help to develop effective treatments for both EDs and depression for this population.

Abstract: Apelin, a small bioactive peptide, plays an important role in the pathogenesis of mood disorders through the endogenous ligand APJ. Although the anxiolytic effect of apelin is well established, the mechanisms are poorly understood. In this study, we hypothesized that apelin played an anxiolytic role in chronic normobaric hypoxia (CNH)-induced anxiety like behavior in mice, which might be associated with an inhibition of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) activation in the hippocampus. To this end, mice were exposed in a normobaric hypoxic chamber with a fraction of inspired oxygen (FIO2, ∼10%, 23h/d) with or without apelin-13 application (20 nmolkg-1d-1, i.p.), for 4 weeks. The anxiety-like behavior was tested by elevated plus maze and open field. Activities of NF-κB, microglial, and related signaling pathways in the hippocampus during this pathological process were examined. We found that CNH treatment decreased APJ but increased Iba-1 proteins expression, as well as nucleus translocation of p50 and p65 in the hippocampus, which were reversed by apelin-13 treatment. In addition, apelin-13 treatment ameliorated CNH-induced anxiety-like behavior in mice, suggesting anxiogenic effect of apelin-13 might be mediated by an inhibition of NF-κB activation in microglial of the hippocampus. Furthermore, apelin-13 treatment reversed p-CAMKII decrease in the hippocampus under CNH treatment. Apelin-13 treatment did not affect anxiety-like behavior and relative proteins expression in normoxia control mice. Finally, we found that rats with CNH treatment decreased APJ expression while enhanced NF-κB activation in the hippocampus, providing additional evidences that NF-κB activation in hippocampus in CNH-induced anxiety-like behavior in rats we reported previously might be associated with an inhibition of APJ activity. In conclusion, the present results illustrated that inhibition of APJ and promotion of NF-κB activation in the microglial of hippocampus might be involved in anxiogenic effect in CNH-exposed mice, and apelin-13 ameliorates CNH-induced anxiety-like behavior might be associated with an inhibition of NF-κB activation.

Abstract: The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO), a 20 kton multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator detector, was proposed with the determination of the neutrino mass hierarchy as a primary physics goal. It is also capable of observing neutrinos from terrestrial and extra-terrestrial sources, including supernova burst neutrinos, diffuse supernova neutrino background, geoneutrinos, atmospheric neutrinos, solar neutrinos, as well as exotic searches such as nucleon decays, dark matter, sterile neutrinos, etc. We present the physics motivations and the anticipated performance of the JUNO detector for various proposed measurements. By detecting reactor antineutrinos from two power plants at 53-km distance, JUNO will determine the neutrino mass hierarchy at a 3-4 sigma significance with six years of running. The measurement of antineutrino spectrum will also lead to the precise determination of three out of the six oscillation parameters to an accuracy of better than 1\%. Neutrino burst from a typical core-collapse supernova at 10 kpc would lead to ~5000 inverse-beta-decay events and ~2000 all-flavor neutrino-proton elastic scattering events in JUNO. Detection of DSNB would provide valuable information on the cosmic star-formation rate and the average core-collapsed neutrino energy spectrum. Geo-neutrinos can be detected in JUNO with a rate of ~400 events per year, significantly improving the statistics of existing geoneutrino samples. The JUNO detector is sensitive to several exotic searches, e.g. proton decay via the $p\to K^++\bar\nu$ decay channel. The JUNO detector will provide a unique facility to address many outstanding crucial questions in particle and astrophysics. Abstract: This study aims to investigate whether inflammation mediated by NF-κB activation is involved in the induction of anxiety-like behavior in chronic normobaric hypoxia (CNH) exposed rats and to investigate the underlying mechanism. To this end, rats were exposed in a normobaric hypoxic chamber with a fraction of inspired oxygen (FIO2) of ∼ 10%, 23 h/d, continues for 2 weeks. Anxiety-like behavior was tested by elevated plus maze and open field, inflammatory response, nucleus translocation of NF-κB, and signaling pathway in hippocampus were examined. CNH induced a significant increase of anxiety- like behavior and inflammation responses, which were ameliorated by NF-κB inhibitor, PDTC pretreatment, suggesting that the anxiogenic effect induced by inflammation is through NF-κB activation. CNH treatment significantly increased nucleus translocation of p65 and p105 in hippocampus, which was suppressed by PDTC pretreatment. In addition, CNH treatment significantly increased Iba-1, iNOS, COX-2, and p-PKA in hippocampus, which were blocked by PDTC pretreatment, suggesting CNH may activate microglia cells in hippocampus through NF-κB pathway. In conclusion, our results illustrate a mechanism that, activation of NF-κB in hippocampus may trigger the proinflammatory response of microglia cells, and iNOS-PKA pathway may involve in anxiogenic effect in CNH exposed rats.

Abstract: This Letter reports an improved search for light sterile neutrino mixing in the electron antineutrino disappearance channel with the full configuration of the Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment. With an additional 404 days of data collected in eight antineutrino detectors, this search benefits from 3.6 times the statistics available to the previous publication, as well as from improvements in energy calibration and background reduction. A relative comparison of the rate and energy spectrum of reactor antineutrinos in the three experimental halls yields no evidence of sterile neutrino mixing in the $2\times10^{-4} \lesssim |\Delta m^{2}_{41}| \lesssim 0.3$ eV$^{2}$ mass range. The resulting limits on $\sin^{2}2\theta_{14}$ are improved by approximately a factor of 2 over previous results and constitute the most stringent constraints to date in the $|\Delta m^{2}_{41}| \lesssim 0.2$ eV$^{2}$ region., Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, 1 table

48. Recent results of Daya Bay Experiment.

Abstract: The Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment aimed to precisely measure the least known mixing angle θ13. In March 2012, Daya Bay announced the non-zero value with more than 5σ. With more statistics, less background and better control of systematics, the Daya Bay experiment is continuously improving the precision of sin2 2θ13 as well as the effective neutrino mass squared differences. In this paper, I will report the recent oscillation results, which are the most precise measurement of the oscillation parameter θ13 and |Δm2ee|. With 1230 days of data, sin2 2θ13 is measured to be [8.41 ± 0:27(stat.) ± 0.19(syst.)]×10-2, and |Δm2ee| = [2.50±0.06(stat.)±0.06(syst.)]×10-3eV2 with X2/NDF = 232.6/263. Abstract: The Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment is designed to precisely determine the neutrino mixing angle θ13. In this paper, we present an algorithm using the maximum likelihood (ML) method to reconstruct the vertex and energy of events in the anti-neutrino detector, based on a simplified optical model describing light propagation. The key parameters of the optical model are calibrated with 60Co source, by comparing the predicted charges of the PMTs with the observed charges. With the optimized parameters, the ML reconstruction provides a uniform energy reconstruction, and a vertex reconstruction with small bias along radial direction.
