Autophagy has been observed in many diseases, and the symptoms of these diseases are significantly improved by regulating autophagy. Autophagy is also involved in the development of lung diseases. Studies have shown that autophagy may play a beneficial or harmful role in acute lung injury (ALI), and ALI has been treated with traditional Chinese medicine designed to promote or inhibit autophagy. In this paper, the molecular mechanism and common pathways regulating autophagy and the relationship between autophagy and ALI are introduced, and the active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine that improve ALI symptoms by regulating autophagy are summarized.Keywords: autophagy, inflammation, oxidative stress, apoptosis

Abstract

Empirical formula can be used to get ground shock parameters produced by conventional weapons buried in soil medium. With the development of finite element technology, ground shock parameters can be obtained by numerical simulation. However, sometimes the numerical simulation results were not consistent with the empirical formula results. A two-dimensional axial symmetry model and a three-dimensional model were set up to calculate the ground shock from a fully buried spherical charge, numerical results and empirical formula results were compared and the causes of the calculation error were analyzed.

By the method of plane charge on the tested beams, this paper studied 6 pieces of beams， dynamic performance by 4 time loadings, displayed the deflection waveform curves, measured the bearing ability of beams with different prestress degree, analyzed the effects of the deformed performance and the ductility of the test beams with the different prestress degree. The 6 pieces of PC（prestressed concrete）beams was divided into 2 groups.

14. Resorcylic Acid Lactones Produced by an Endophytic Penicillium ochrochloron Strain from Kadsura angustifolia.

Abstract

Four new β -resorcylic acid lactones, including penochrochlactone A (2), 4-O-desmethyl-aigialomycin B (4), and penochrochlactones C and D (5 and 6), two compounds isolated from a natural source for the first time, 5 α , 6 β -acetonide-aigialomycin B (1) and penochrochlactone B (3), together with six known compounds, aigialomycin F (7), aigialomycins A, B, and D (8 – 10), zeaenol (11), and oxozeaenol (12), were isolated from a mycelial solid culture of the endophytic fungus Penicillium ochrochloron SWUKD4.1850 from the medicinal plant Kadsura angustifolia by sequential purification over silica gel, Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, and preparative HPLC. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis and chemical conversions. In addition, all the new compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic and antibacterial activities in vitro. Penochrochlactone C (5) displayed moderate cytotoxicity against the HeLa tumor cell line with an IC50 value of 9.70 µM. In the antibacterial assays, compounds 4 – 6 exhibited moderate activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli , and Pseudomonas aeruginosa with MIC values between 9.7 and 32.0 µg/mL. Abstract

Genetic algorithm is a non-numerical optimization method which based on natural selection and population genetics.Using genetic algorithm to optimize the mix proportion design of high performance concrete, it takes into account the economic profitability on the foundation of satisfying the requirements of durability, strength, workability and dimensional stability of concrete, it establishes a mathematic model applying the performance of material as constraint condition, and the economic cost as optimization target.Using binary coding to represent the chromosome bit serial of individual, through selection, crossover, mutation and other genetic operator to conduct global probability search, taking the principle of “survival of the fittest”, finally achieve the best population and individual. Compare the results of optimization with the mix proportion in practice engineering case, we can reach the conclusion that Genetic Algorithm could reduce the cost, save energy, provides better use value on engineering practice.

Abstract

The microbiological transformation of the triterpene nigranoic acid (3,4-secocycloarta-4(28),24(Z)-diene-3,26-dioic acid) (1) to 3,4-secocycloarta-4(28),17(20),24(Z)-triene-7β-hydroxy-16β,26-lactone-3-oic acid (2) and 3,4-secocycloarta-4(28),17(20)(Z),24(Z)-triene-7β-hydroxy-16β-methoxy-3,26-dioic acid (3) by the freshwater fungus Dictyosporium heptasporum YMF1.01213 has been demonstrated. The structures of the biotransformation products were determined by spectroscopic and MS analyses. Compound 2, characterized by the presence of a formed C-16/C-26 ester bridge, provided a novel nine-membered lactone ring structural skeleton for 3,4-secocycloartane triterpenoid derivatives. In addition, Compounds 1–3 exhibited weak anti-HIV activity in vitro. Compounds 2 and 3 were reported for the first time as natural product derivatives. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract

Three new naphthoquinones, astropaquinones A-C (1-3), were isolated from cultures of the freshwater fungus Astrosphaeriella papuana YMF 1.01181, together with the known compound, 6-hydroxy-2,4-dimethoxy-7-methylanthraquinone (4). The structures of the compounds were settled mainly by interpretation of their 1D and 2D NMR spectra. Astropaquinone B (2) and C (3) were found to possess a rare pyranonaphthoquinone skeleton containing a lactol ring. Furthermore, compounds 1-4 showed moderate antagonistic activity against nine fungi and four bacterial strains., (Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart, New York.)

Abstract

Five new preussomerin analogues, ymf 1029A (1), B (2), C (3), D (4), and E (5), were isolated from the liquid cultures of an unidentified freshwater fungus YMF 1.01029, along with four known compounds, preussomerin C (6), preussomerin D (7), (4RS)-4,8-dihydroxy-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one (8), and 4,6,8-trihydroxy-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one (9). The structures of new metabolites were determined by analysis of NMR and MS data and by analogy with the data for the known bis-spirobisnaphthalene preussomerins. In vitro immersion experiments showed that these metabolites displayed weak nematicidal activity against Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, while compound 7 was the most potent. This is the first report of these compounds, which antagonize the Bursaphelenchus xylophilus nematode.
