Spor genetiği ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar gün geçtikçe artmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra, sportif perfomansıngenetik yapı ile ilişkisini anlamaya çalışırken, fizyoloji, psikoloji ve çevresel faktörlerinde etkili olduğunuunutmamak gerekir. Aday genlerin sportif performansla ilişkisini ortaya koymak için yapılan çalışmalarınsonuçları, farklı etnik popülasyonlar ve küçük örneklem büyüklükleri gibi çeşitli faktörlerden etkilenmektedir.Bu durum da farklı makalelerde yer alan sonuçların birbiriyle çelişmesine yol açmaktadır. Biz de kısa ve uzunmesafe koşucuları ve konrol grubunu içeren kohort çalışmamızda AGT (Angiotensinogen) geninin rs699polimorfizmi açısından kontrol ve sporcu grubu arasında anlamlı bir fark olup olmadığını tespit etmeyiamaçladık. Tüm çalışma grubunda AGT rs699 gen polimorfizmi için CC, CT, TT genotip ve yüzde dağılımlarısırasıyla; 8 (%53,3), 10 (%66,6), 6 (%40) şeklinde analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmamızda CT genotipi ve C alleltaşıyıcılarının kısa mesafe koşucularında daha yaygın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan literatür araştırmalarıdikkate alındığında kohortumuzdaki uzun mesafe koşucularının dayanıklılık özelliklerinin taşıdıkları AGTgeni varyasyonu ile örtüştüğü tespit edilmiştir. Kısa mesafe koşucularının ise çalışmamızda incelediğimizAGT polimorfizmi açısından patlayıcı güç gerektiren spor branşlarına yatkın olduğu söylenebilir.

Food packaging is intended to protect food and extend its shelf life, but it may affect food quality and safety because of chemical migration. Food quality and safety regarding packaging is a significant global concern. Legislations have an essential role in providing regulatory guidance on quality assurance systems and verifying their implementation as a means of regulatory compliance. The large number of various materials used in the manufacture of packages complicates the evaluation of food–packaging interactions. This review is an overview of literature data on the effects of printed food packaging on the migration of chemicals into foods, as well as on various migration sources of chemical compounds. Various aspects, such as the interaction between packaging and food starting with the production process of food packaging to food–packaging contact during storage, the effects of primary and secondary packaging on chemical migration, permeability of packaging materials, ink-induced migration in printed packaging, and types of transition from packaging to food, were examined in detail. Besides, studies on subjects such as the food contact materials analysis used to test the phenomenon of migration in foods and migration limits have been discussed. Moreover, studies on the use of recycled paper in packaging and its effect on migration, ink chemicals resulting from recycling and studies on this subject are included. Information is given on measures to reduce the effect of migration, low migration of printing inks, coatings and adhesives, and materials used in barrier applications. In line with this research study, suggestions were made for measures to reduce the harmful effects of chemical migration on human health and to prevent the risk of migration from packaging to food. Tıp Fakültesi Dönem 1 Öğrencilerinin Bakış Açısıyla Teknoloji Bağımlılığının İncelenmesi: Karma Bir Araştırma Son yıllarda teknolojide önemli gelişmeler yaşanmakta ve teknolojik cihazların kullanımı artış göstermektedir. Bu durum, bireylerin davranışlarının tekrarına ve teknoloji bağımlılığının oluşmasına sebep olabilmektedir. Teknoloji bağımlılığı fiziksel, sosyal ve psikolojik etkileri sebebiyle derinlemesine incelenme gerektirmektedir. Bu tez çalışmasında öğrencilerin teknoloji bağımlılık durumlarını, öğrencilerin gözünden teknoloji bağımlılığının tanımını, bağımlılığa yönelten nedenleri, olumsuz etkileri, önleme ve tedavi önerilerini ortaya koymayı amaçladık. Çalışma; karma araştırma yöntemi olarak açımlayıcı sıralı desenle dizayn edilmiştir. Nicel kısımda örneklem Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi dönem 1 öğrencileridir (203/268). Nicel kısımda öğrencilerin bağımlılık düzeyleri teknoloji bağımlılığı ölçeğine göre ortaya koyuldu ve nitel araştırmaya katılacak gruplar oluşturuldu. 4 odak gruptan 15 kişi nitel çalışmaya dahil edildi. Nitel kısımda fenomenolojik desen kullanılarak, veriler derinlemesine görüşmeler yoluyla yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak elde edildi. Araştırma soruları; bağımlılık algısını, bağımlılığa verilen örnekleri, teknoloji bağımlılığının nedenlerini, olumsuz etkilerini ve önerileri değerlendirmeye yönelikti. Verilerin analizinde ise, MAXQDA 2020 kullanılarak veriler tematik kodlama yoluyla çözümlendi. Araştırma sonucunda bağımlılık olgusunun; ayrı kalamama, takılı kalma, vazgeçememe, eksikliğini hissetme, kötü bir şey, sigara, bir şeyi yapmayı bırakamama, dizi, bir şeye daha fazla yönelme şeklinde tanımlandığı; bağımlılığa ilişkin verilen örneklerin ise sigara, alkol, kafein, şeker/tuz, uyuşturucu, teknoloji, insan, kumar bağımlılığı şeklinde olduğu belirlendi. Teknoloji bağımlılığının yol açan faktörlerin bireysel, sosyal, çevresel ve ailevi sebepler altında şekillendiği tespit edildi. Teknoloji bağımlılığının olumsuz etkileri ise psikolojik, fiziksel ve sosyal etkiler başlıkları altında incelendi. Katılımcılar tarafından geliştirilen çözüm önerileri ise bireysel, ailesel ve kamusal öneriler temalarıyla sunuldu. Araştırma sonuçlarından yola çıkarak; teknoloji bağımlılığını önleyici, tedavi edici ve rehabilite edici birtakım öneriler ortaya koyuldu. This can cause the behavior of individuals to be repeated and the dependence of technology. Technology dependency requires a thorough examination due to physical, social and psychological effects. In this thesis, we aim to present the technology dependencies, the definition of technology dependence from the eyes of students, the reasons for addiction, the negative effects, prevention and treatment recommendations. The study is designed with a descriptive sequence pattern as a mixed research method. In the quantitative section, the sample is Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine 1 students (203/268). In the quantitative section, student dependency levels were based on the scale of technology dependency and groups were formed to participate in qualitative research. 15 people from 4 focus groups were included in qualitative work. Using the phenomenological pattern in the qualitative section, the data was obtained through in-depth interviews using the semi-structured interview form. Research questions were aimed at assessing addiction perception, examples of addiction, causes of technology dependence, adverse effects and recommendations. In the analysis of data, data was analyzed through thematic coding using MAXQDA 2020. The study shows that addiction is not isolated, stuck, unable to give up, feeling deficiency, something bad, smoking, not being able to stop doing anything, the show is defined as being more directed at something, and the examples of addiction are cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine, sugar/salt, drugs, it was determined to be technology, human, gambling addiction. It was determined that the factors leading to technology dependence were shaped under individual, social, environmental and family reasons. The negative effects of technology dependence were examined under the topics of psychological, physical and social effects. The solution recommendations developed by participants were presented with themes of individual, family and public recommendations. Based on the results of the research, some suggestions were put forward that would prevent technology dependence, to be therapeutic and rehabilitate. Çalışmamızda Buz Hokeyi Milli Takım oyucularında ACE rs1799752, ACTN3 rs1815739, PPARA rs4253778 ve HIF1A rs11549465 polimorfizmleri ile fiziksel testlerin değerlendirilmesi amaçladık. Araştırmamıza 21 buz hokeyi milli takım oyuncusu katılmıştır. Etik kurul ve gönüllü onam formları alındıktan sonra ağız içi epitel dokularından DNA izolasyonu gerçekleştirilmiştir. ACE rs1799752 polimorfizmi için konvansiyonel polimeraz zincir reaksiyon yöntemi, ACTN3 rs1815739, PPARA rs4253778 ve HIF1A rs11549465 polimorfizmleri için gerçek zamanlı polimeraz zincir reaksiyonu yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Atletik performans analizi, maksimal oksijen kullanım kapasitesi, anaerobik performans, esneklik ve kuvvet testleriyle değerlendirilmiştir. Kohortumuzuda ACE rs1799752 polimorfizmi bakımından 5(%24) sporcu II genotipinde, 7(%33) sporcu ID ve 9(%43) sporcu ise DD genotipinde belirlenmiştir. ACTN3 rs1815739 için CC, CT ve TT genotipleri sırasıyla 5(%24), 9(%43) ve 7(%33) olarak saptanmıştır. PPARA rs4253778 polimorfizmi bakımından 15(%71) sporcu GG genotipi, 3(%14,5) sporcu GC ve 3(%14,5) sporcu ise CC genotipinde gözlemlenmiştir. HIF1A rs11549465 CC genotipi 14(%67) sporcu ve CT genotipi 7(%33) sporcu olarak bulunmuştur. Fiziksel testlerde esneklik testi (p=0,365), bacak kuvveti testi (p=0,691), el sıkma kuvveti testi (p=0,679), VO2max testi (p=0,686) sonuçları genotiplerle değerlendirildiğinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık saptanmamıştır. Sürat testi ile HIF1A rs11549465 polimorfizm değerlendirmesinde anlamlı düzeyde ilişki bulunmuştur (p=0,008). Diğer polimorfizmlerle sürat testi karşılaştırılmasında anlamlı sonuç tespit edilmemiştir (p=0,65). Çalışmamızın sonuçları ilgili gen polimorfizmleri ile buz hokeyi oyuncularının atletik performansı arasındaki potansiyel ilişkiyi vurgulayan önceki çalışmalarla uyumludur. Fakat ilgili polimorfizmlerle buz hokeyi oyuncularının atletik performans ilişkisi arasında ilişkiyi anlamak için büyük kohortlarla çalışmalar tavsiye edilmektedir. We aimed to compare ACE rs1799752, ACTN3 rs1815739, PPARA rs4253778 and HIF1A rs11549465 polymorphisms and physical tests in Ice Hockey National Team players. While ACE rs1799752 was performed by conventional polymerase chain reaction method, real-time polymerase chain reaction method was used for other polymorphisms. Athletic performance analysis were evaluated maximal oxygen utilization capacity, anaerobic performance, flexibility and strength tests. In our cohort, the ACE rs1799752, the II genotype was determined as 5(24%), ID genotype as 7(33%), and DD genotype 25(43%). The ACTN3 rs1815739 was found as 5(24%) in RR genotype, as 9(43%) in RX genotype, and 7(33%) in XX genotype. The PPARA rs4253778 was observed as GG genotype 15(71%), as GC genotype 3(14.5%) and as CC genotype 3(14.5%). The HIF1A rs11549465 was determined as 14(67%) CC genotype and as 7(33%) for CT genotype. In physical tests, when the flexibility test (p=0.365), leg strength test ( p=0.691), the grip strength test (p=0.679) and VO2max test (p=0.686) results were evaluated between the genotype groups, no significant difference was found. Evaluation of HF1A rs11549465 polymorphism with sprint test was evaluated as significant (p=0.008), no significant results were found in comparison of sprint test with other polymorphisms (p=0.65).The results of our study are in line with previous studies. In order to confirm our study, it is recommended that larger prospective studies depending on the effect of the relevant polymorphisms need to be carried out.

Athletic performance is considered to be determined by the effect of genetic endowment and environmental factors like nutrition, regular training and psychology. Aim of the present study is to determine the effect of Interleukin-6 (1L-6) rs1800795 polymorphisms in Turkish National Skiing running athletes. A total of 55 individuals. 34 skiers and 21 nonskiers (controls) were enrolled for the study. DNA isolation from buccal samples of athletes was performed by using Invitrogen (Van Allen Way, Carlsbad, CA, USA) commercial kit. Genotyping process was carried out by real-time PCR. GG and GC genotypes were analyzed as equal in athletes. In controls, GG genotype was superior to other genotypes. There was no statistically significant difference in the terms of IL-6 rs1800795 polymorphism between athletes and controls. CC genotype was not detected in both groups. Our results revealed the importance of genetic factors in determining the athlete's sports performance, but there is need for more studies in the terms of IL-6 rs1800795 to clarify their effects on athletic performance. This first report, including the related genetic markers and skiing running athletes will guide scientists for further studies.

The aim of this study was to determine the IL-6 (rs1800795), HIF1A (rs11549465), MCT1 (rs1049434), PPAR-a (rs4253778) genotype distributions and allele frequencies of Turkish Iroman triathlon athletes. Ten elite male İronman triathlon athletes participated in the study. DNA samples of the subjects were obtained from venous blood. Genotyping of samples was performed by Real-Time PCR. In addition to its importance for human metabolism, apolipoprotein molcules are one of the most importantbiological biomarkers in certain diseases. Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) is one of the most widely studiedmolecules in this field. When we examined the literature, we found a relationship between serum ApoElevels and sports and exercise, but there was limited study of the APOE gene that encodes this protein.In this study, we aimed to determine the distribution of ε2 / ε3 / ε4 variants in the APOE gene in Turkishsoccer players, which is thought to have an effect on athletic and neurocognitive performances. Twentytwoprofessional Turkish footballers between 18-24 years of age, still playing active football participatedin the study. After obtaining the necessary ethics committee permissions, consent forms explaining thestudy protocol, results and outputs were signed and DNA isolation was performed from the athletes. APOEgenotyping was performed by real-time polymerase chain reaction (Real-time PCR) method to determinegenotype distributions in athletes. In determining these distributions, haplo groups formed by APOErs429358 and rs7412 polymorphisms were evaluated. In our cohort, the APOE ε3/ ε3 genotype was foundto be more dominant than the other genotypes. One player had ε2/ ε3 (4.5%), one had ε2/ ε4 (4.5%),13 had ε3/ ε3 (59%) and 7 had ε3/ ε4 (32%) genotypes. No ε2/ ε2 and ε4/ ε4 genotypes were found infootball players. The most common allele ε3 and ε3/ ε3 genotype was more dominant than other alleles andgenotypes. In our study group, we detected no ε2/ ε2 and ε4/ ε4 genotypes. According to the results, thepredominance of ε3/ ε3 genotype in footballers may be related to football biology., Apolipoprotein molekülleri, metabolizmamız için öneminin yanı sıra bazı hastalıklar içinde önemlibiyolojik biyo-belirteçlerdendir. Özellikle Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) bu konuda en fazla çalışılanmoleküllerin başında gelmektedir. Literatür incelemesi yaptığımızda serum ApoE seviyeleri ile sporve egzersiz arasında ilişki kurulmuş, ancak bu proteini kodlayan APOE geni ile ilgili kısıtlı çalışmaolduğu gözlenmiştir. Çalışmamızda, sporcuların nörobilişsel ve atletik performans üzerine etkisi olduğudüşünülen ve ApoE genindeki ε2/ε3/ε4 varyantlarının Türk futbolcularda dağılımlarını belirlemeyiamaçladık. Çalışmamıza aktif futbol oynayan 18-24 yaş arası 22 profesyonel Türk kökenli futbolcu katıldı.Gerekli etik kurul izinleri alındıktan sonra çalışma protokolunu, sonuç ve çıktılarını anlatan onam formlarıimzalatıldıktan sonra sporculardan DNA izolasyonu gerçekleştirildi. ApoE genotiplemesi gerçek zamanlıpolimeraz zincir reaksiyonu (GZ-PZR) metodu ile gerçekleştirilerek sporculardaki genotip dağılımlarıbelirlendi. Bu dağılımların belirlenmesinde APOE rs429358 ve rs7412 polimorfizmlerin oluşturduğu haplogruplar değerlendirilmiştir. Kohortumuzda APOE ε3/ε3 genotipi diğer genotiplere göre daha baskın olarak bulunmuştur. 1 sporcuda ε2/ε3 (%4.5), 1 sporcuda ε2/ε4 (%4.5), 13 sporcuda ε3/ε3 (%59) ve 7 sporcununε3/ε4 (%32) genotipinde olduğu saptanmıştır. Futbolcularda ε2/ε2 ve ε4/ε4 genotiplerine rastlanmamıştır.Kohortumuzda en yaygın allel olan ε3 ve ε3/ε3 genotipi diğer allel ve genotiplere göre daha baskın olduğugörülmüştür. Çalışma grubumuzda ε2/ε2 ve ε4/ε4 genotiplerine hiç rastlanmamıştır. Çalışma grubumuzdanelde edilen sonuçlara göre ε3/ε3 genotipinin futbolcularda daha baskın olmasının futbol biyolojisi ile ilişkiliolabileceği sonucuna varmamızı sağlamıştır.

Bu çalışmada Enza Zaden Tarım Ar-Ge Taş. ve Tic. Şirketi'nin gen bankasında bulunan; Domates Mozaik Virüsü (ToMV), Domates Sarı Yaprak Kıvırcıklık Virüsü (TYLCV), Domates Lekeli Solgunluk Virüsü (TSWV), Nematod (Mi), Verticillium dahlie (Vd), Fusarium (Fol) ve Domates Yaprak Küfü (Clad) gibi hastalıklara dayanıklık kazandırılmış 20 erkenci domates saf hat kullanılmıştır. Bu hatların meyve kabuk rengi, pH, toplam karoten ve ksantofil, titre edilebilir asitlik, briks, toplam fenolik, toplam şeker, indirgen şeker, askorbik asit (C vitamini), likopen ve β-karoten gibi özellikleri üzerinde durulmuştur.Yürütülen bu tez çalışmasında, ıslah programlarında verim, hastalıklara ve zararlılara dayanıklılık gibi konuların yanında meyve kalite özelliklerinin önemi vurgulanmıştır. Biyokimyasal özellikleri bakımından üstün hatların belirlenmesi ile daha sonra yapılacak çalışmalarda kaliteli ticari çeşitlerin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada kullanılan hatların bitki başına verimleri 2.5-9.2 kg arasında değişirken, ortalama meyve ağırlıklarının 86-246 g arasında değiştiği saptanmıştır.Çalışma sonucunda domates meyvelerindeki L*değerleri 30.87-45.35, a* değerleri 8.36-21.48, b* değerleri 15.28-42.17 arasında değişim göstermiştir. Domates meyvelerindeki toplam karoten içeriğinin 80.2-197.5 mg/100 g, toplam ksantofil içeriğinin 115.3-256.6 mg/100 g, titre edilebilir asitliğin %0.27-0.40, pH'nın 3.75-4.95, briks değerlerinin %2.60-6.30, C vitamini içeriğinin 10.50-28.78 mg/100 g, likopen içeriğinin 1.6-4.09 mg/100 g arasında değişim gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Toplamve indirgen şeker içerikleri ise sırasıyla 7.31-17.51 mg/g ve 2.46-6.57 mg/g arasında bulunmuştur.Bu değerlerin incelenmesi sonucunda H7, H17 ve H3 hatlarının biyokim yasal özellikleri bakımından üstün hatlar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bu veriler genetik kaynaklar ile geliştirilecek yeni çeşitlere yarar sağlaması ümit edilmektedir. In this study, twenty early tomato pure lines from Enza Zaden Company's gene bank which are resistant todiseases such as Tomato Mosaic Virus (ToMV), Tomato Yellow Leaf Curly Virus (TYLCV), Tomato Stain Wilt Virus (TSWV), Nematode (Mi), Verticillium dahlie (Vd), Fusarium (Fol) and Tomato Leaf Mold (Clad) were used.Properties of these lines, such as fruit color, pH, total carotene and xanthophyll, titratable acidity, brix, total phenolics, total sugars, reducing sugars, ascorbic acid, lycopene and β-carotene contents were evaluated. Moreover, in this thesis, the yield, resistance to diseases and pests in breeding programs and the importance of fruit quality characteristics were also emphasized. With the determination of superior lines in terms of biochemical properties, it is aimed to develop high quality and commercial varieties in future studies.The yields of the lines used in this study ranged from 2.5 to 9.2 kg per plant, while average fruit weights ranged from 86 to 246 g.As a result, L* values in tomato fruits varied between 30.87 and 45.35, a* values between 8.36 and 21.48, b* values between 15.28 and 42.17. Total carotene, total xanthophyll, titratable acidity, pH, brix, ascorbic acid, lycopene values in tomato fruits changed from 80.2 to 197.5 mg/100 g, from 115.3 to 256.6 mg/100 g, from 0.27 to 0.40%, from 3.75 to 4.95, from 2.60 to 6.30%, from 10.50 to 28.78 mg/100 g and from 1.6 to 4.09 mg/100 g respectively. Total and reducing sugar contents were found between 7.31-17.51 mg/g and 2.46-6.57 mg/g.According to these values, it was determined that H7, H17 and H3 lines were superior in terms of biochemical properties. Objective: Endocan, chemerin, and galectin-3 are discrete biomarkers associated with cardiovascular diseases and acting through different pathophysiological pathways. The aim of this study is to investigate and compare the effects of high doses of atorvastatin and rosuvastatin on serum endocan, chemerin, and galectin-3 levels in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods: Sixty-three patients with AMI were randomized to receive atorvastatin (80 mg/day) or rosuvastatin (40 mg/day) after percutaneous revascularization. Serum levels of endocan, chemerin, and galectin-3 were evaluated at baseline and after 4-week therapy. Results: Endocan levels were not decreased statistically significantly with atorvastatin 80 mg, but rosuvastatin 40 mg markedly decreased the levels of endocan according to baseline [from 110.27 (86.03-143.69) pg/mL to 99.22 (78.30-122.87) pg/mL with atorvastatin 80 mg and from 110.73 (77.28-165.22) pg/mL to 93.40 (70.48-115.13) pg/mL with rosuvastatin 40 mg, p=0.242 for atorvastatin 80 mg and p=0.014 for rosuvastatin 40 mg]. Chemerin levels significantly decreased in both groups according to baseline [from 264.90 (196.00-525.95) ng/mL to 135.00 (105.95-225.65) ng/ mL with atorvastatin 80 mg and from 309.95 (168.87-701.27) ng/mL to 121.25 (86.60-212.65) ng/mL with rosuvastatin 40 mg, p<0.001, respectively, for both groups]. Galectin-3 levels did not change markedly with atorvastatin 80 mg, but they decreased with rosuvastatin 40 mg [from 17.00 (13.10-22.25) ng/mL to 19.30 (15.25-23.45) ng/mL with atorvastatin 80 mg, p=0.721, and from 18.25 (12.82-23.82) ng/mL to 16.60 (10.60-20.15) ng/ mL with rosuvastatin 40 mg, p=0.074]. There were no significant between-group differences in terms of absolute and percentage changes of endocan, chemerin, and galectin-3 at 4 weeks. Conclusion: We reported that both statins similarly decreased the endocan levels, whereas rosuvastatin seems to have more prominent effects on the reduction of the chemerin and galectin-3 levels in patients with AMI. Objective: Turkey has nearly 2.5 million Syrian refugees, and it provides them healthcare, education, shelter, and food aid. This study aimed to determine some of the socio-demographic features, income status, shelter, and living conditions in Syrian and socially underprivileged Turkish patients receiving hemodialysis. This study also makes comparisons between the two groups. Materials and Methods: We included 23 Syrian and 82 socially underprivileged Turkish patients receiving hemodialysis in this study. The questionnaires included queries on socio-demographic, income distribution, and living conditions. Results: Syrian patients were younger (34.08±12.30 vs. 55.13±17.96 years; p=0.001) and better educated (p=0.009). Compliance with hemodialysis sessions was lower in refugees (p=0.002). Per capita income was lower among Syrian patients, although there were more employed persons in Syrian families (1.86±1.09 vs. 1.04±0.92; p=0.003). The mean number of household members was 7.4±3 and 4.5±2 in families of Syrian and Turkish patients, respectively (p=0.001). Most Syrian patients were living as tenants (p=0.002) without access to hot water (p=0.043). Having home appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers, and refrigerators was more common among Turkish patients (p=0.013; p<0.001; p=0.001). Syrian patients could not afford to repair old and worn furniture and could not pay their bills (p=0.011; p=0.001). Conclusion: Socio-economic status of Syrian patients receiving hemodialysis is worse as compared to that of underprivileged Turkish patients receiving hemodialysis. Bu metot başlıca iki kısımdan oluşur; i) örneğin reaktörde epitermal nötronlarla aktive edilmesi, ii) gamma spektrumunun ölçülmesi ve değerlendirilmesi. Gamma radyasyonunun ölçümünde referans örnek kullanılmadan ve referans örnek kullanılarak, olmak üzere başlıca iki metot kullanılmaktadır. Birincisi “birincil direk metot” ikincisi ise, bilinmeyen örnekle aynı özelliklere sahip standart örneğin ölçümlerinin oranlanmasına dayanan “birincil karşılaştırılmalı metot” (PRM) dur. Gamma radiation measurements can be carried out with and without reference sample. The first is called “primary direct method” and the second is called “primary ratio method” (PRM) that measured the ratio of unknown sample to a standard sample of the same quantity. In this study the PRM is together with the requirement is of parametric equations. Adopted to investigate the concentration of heavy metals in Meriç (Maritza) basin. The results can be locally evaluated in agricultural and healthcare aims.

Amaç: Elektrolit dengesizlikleri yoğun bakım hastalarında sıklıkla görülür. Hipomagnezemi yeterince tanımlanmamakla birlikte YBÜ mortalitesine katkıda bulunabilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı kritik hastalarda hipomagnezemi sıklığını saptamak ve mekanik ventilasyon günü, YBÜ'de kalış süresi ve mortalite ile ilişkisini saptamayı amaçladık. Yöntem ve Gereç: Ocak 2008-Temmuz 2008 arasında solunum yetmezliği ile YBÜ'ne başvuran 60 hasta alındı. Prospektif çalışmada başvuru sırasında hastaların serum total Mg düzeyi, elektrolit düzeyleri, total protein, albumin ve laktat düzeyi ölçüldü. Hastaların demografik özellikleri, eşlik eden nörolojik ve kardiyak bulguları, APACHE II skoru, mekanik ventilasyon süresi, YBÜ‘de kalış süresi ve mortalite oranı kaydedildi. Bulgular: Hastaların % 27'sinde başvuru sırasında hipomagnezemi saptandı. Serum Mg ile Ca düzeyleri arasında pozitif korelasyon bulundu (p=0.03), ancak diğer laboratuar testleri arasında ilişki saptanmadı. Hipomagnezemi ile mekanik ventilasyon süresi, YBÜ‘de kalış süresi ve mortalite oranı arasında ilişki saptanmadı (p>0.05). Sonuç: Elektrolit düzeylerinin monitorizasyonu kritik hastalarda önemlidir. Ancak Mg düzeyinin rutin ölçülmesinden ziyade, hipomagnezemiye ait klinik bulguları olan hastalarda Mg düzeyinin ölçülmesinin uygun olacağı görüşündeyiz., Aim: Electrolyte disturbances are often seen in patients in intensive care unit (ICU). Hypomagnesemia is not enough discribed but can be contributed in ICU mortality.The aim of this study was to define the prevalance of hypomagnesemia in critically ill patients and to evaluate its relationship with duration of mechanical ventilation day, length of ICU stay, and mortality. Material and Methods: A prospective study was done on 60 patients with respiratory failure admitted to the ICU between January 2008 and July 2008. Total serum magnesium (Mg) level, electrolyte levels, albumin, total protein, and lactate levels were evaluated at the admission. Patients demographic features, accompanying neurological and cardiac symptoms, Acute Physiology and Chronic Health Evaluation (APACHE II) score, duration of mechanical ventilation, and the length of ICU stay and mortality were recorded. Results: At admission 27% of patients had hypomagnesemia. A positive correlation was found between serum Mg and calcium (Ca) level (p=0.03), but there was no relationship between other laboratory tests. Also there was no relationship determined between hypomagnesemia and duration of mechanical ventilation,and the length of ICU stay and mortality (p>0.05). Conclusion: Monitoring of electrolyte levels is important in critically ill patients.However the routine measurement of the level of serum Mg rather than the measurement of the level of Mg in patients with clinical signs of hypomagnesemia believe to be appropriate.

Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVMs) are abnormal connections between the pulmonary arteries and veins. They are frequently seen as isolated anomalies, but they may also occur as multiple malformations, as in cases of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. Although PAVMs are generally asymptomatic, hemoptysis and hypoxemia may also be present. Radiologically, PAVMs often mimic solitary or multiple pulmonary nodules. The paper describes a novel dip-and-gauge hand-held sensor device for the rapid, cost-effective, and on-site detection of bisphenol A and arsenic in drinking water samples. Different working electrode diameters ranging from 1.5 mm to 4 mm were designed and fabricated to construct a new electrochemical biosensor. The sensor was employed for the chronoamperometric detection of bisphenol A and voltammetric determination of arsenic in drinking water samples. Bisphenol A measurements resulted in a detection limit of 10 ng mL
-1 with a linear range of 0-4000 ng mL-1 . Baby products and bottles have to be completely free of bisphenol and hence a liquid-phase microextraction method has been developed to reduce the detection limit further to 0.6 ng mL-1 . Arsenic detection was investigated in the concentration range of 0.4-250 ng mL-1 with a detection limit of 1.9 ng mL-1 . The current study showed that the designed electrode array allows low detection limits (below threshold levels), although a bare gold surface is used for the study. Hence, together with a hand-held sensor device that works by simply dipping the sensor chip into a water container, this cost effective system has the potential to be used either by household consumers or for on-site inspection purposes. Pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis is a rare idiopathic disorder mostly seen in young adults smokers. A 29-year-old male patient referred with the complaints of cough and shortness of breath for the last three months. He has been smoking wrapped tabacco for three years. In high resolution computed tomography, low density micronodules which has some cavities are observed in both lung lobes. It has been observed widely and distinctly in upper and middle zones but relatively less in basal parts. A wedge resection was performed by mini-thoracotomy. The histopathological diagnosis was Pulmonary Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. A significant regression clinically and radiologically observed upon making the patient quit tobacco. Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the risk factors of maternal mortality in Konya province, as well as the preventability of deaths in cases where the central and local commissions differed in their decisions. Material and Methods:Maternal mortality between 2009 and 2014 in the Konya province was screened for the cases, where the central and local Maternal Mortality Investigation Commissions gave different decisions. These differences pertain to whether the deaths were 'preventable' or 'not-preventable', differences in the first, second and third delay models, and indirect, direct and incidental deaths. The data were evaluated electronically along with a descriptive statistical analysis, differences in the decisions and compliance in the mortality rates were evaluated. Results: The median age of the deceased mothers was 28 (21-- 44) years and 83.3% of the mothers had at least one mortality risk factor. While the overall maternal mortality rate was 36.7% within the first 48 h after birth, the rates were highest within the first 48 h after birth (26.7%) and between the 1st and 42nd day after birth (26.7%) in indifferently assessed cases. The cause in 30% of all deaths and 33.3% of deaths with differential assessments was postpartum hemorrhage, as per the results of central Maternal Mortality Investigation Commissions. The decisions of the central and local commissions differed in terms of preventability, delay models or death classification in 50% of the deaths. Taken together, the compliance between central and local decisions was not precise in investigating maternal mortality. Conclu- sion: The first 48 h after birth and the postpartum period are particularly critical. The causes of death, particularly postpartum hemorrhage, should be thoroughly investigated. We recommend periodic re-evaluations of cases where different decisions were made, in order to lower the rate of preventable maternal mortality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sultansuyu Baraj Gölü'nün kıyı bölgesi algleri, Mart 2006-Şubat 2007 tarihleri arasında, belirlenen 5 istasyonda ve farklı habitatlardan (epipelik, epilitik ve epifitik) , aylık periyotlarda alınan örneklerde incelenmiştir. Diyatomeler (Bacillariophyta), bentik alg topluluklarının en önemli üyeleri olurken, bu topluluklar içerisinde yer alan Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta ve Euglenophyta daha az önemli olmuştur. Bentik diyatomelere ait 66 takson belirlenmiş olup, bunlardan Cyclotella meneghiniana, Cymbella affinis ve Amphora ovalis en dikkat çekicileri olmuştur. Diyatomeler bentik alg toplulukları içerisinde her mevsimde çoğalma eğiliminde olmuşlarsa da en iyi gelişimlerini ilkbahar ve sonbahar aylarında gerçekleştirmişlerdir. Coastal zone algae of reservoir Sultansuyu were examined between March 2006?February 2007 which identified 5 station and different habitats (epipelic, epilithic, epiphytic) taken the samples of month periods. It has been less important being the most important members of the cominity diatoms (Bacillariophyta) bentic algae and which were in this community like Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta and Euglenophyta. It was determined 66 taxa which are belonged to benthic diatoms, from these Cyclotella meneghiniana, Cymbella affinis and Amphora ovalis have been the most remarkable. In benthic algae communities of diatoms tend to replicate in every season but achived the best development in autumn and spring. 70

Bu çalışmanın amacı menkul kıymetlerin vergilendirilmesi ile ilgili temel kavramların açıklanmasından sonra kamu kesimi borçlanma araçları olan Devlet Tahvili ve Hazine Bonolarının faiz gelirlerinin ve alım satım kazançlarının vergilendirilmesi esaslarını ortaya koymaktır.Türk Vergi Sistemi'nde menkul kıymetlerin vergilendirilmesine ilişkin usul ve esaslar günümüze kadar gelen süreçte önemli değişikliklere uğramıştır. Son olarak 2004 yılında kabul edilen 5281 Sayılı Kanunla Gelir Vergisi Kanunu'na eklenen Geçici 67. madde hükmü ile 2006 yılı başından itibaren geçerli olmak üzere menkul kıymetlerin vergilendirilmesinde radikal değişiklikler yapılmış; çeşitli finansal araçlardan elde edilen getirilerin aynı oranda ve kaynakta vergilenmesi ve ticari faaliyetlere dahil olmayan gelirler için kaynakta yapılan vergilemenin nihai vergileme olması esası benimsenmiştir.Bu çalışmada süreç içinde değişiklik göstermiş olan Devlet tahvili ve Hazine bonolarının vergilendirilme esasları 2001 öncesi, 2001- 2005 ile 2006-2015 yılları arasında olmak üzere üç farklı dönemde incelenecektir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Menkul kıymetler, vergileme esasları, devlet tahvili, hazine bonosu The goal of this study is to introduce the principal cause of taxing the interest income and purchase sale gainings of government and treasury bonds which are the instruments of public sector borrowing after making a brief explanation about basic concepts of taxing stocks and shares.The procedures and bases of taxing stocks and shares of Turkish Tax System has undergone a significant change till today. Kurşun zehirli olduğu bilinen bir ağır metaldir. Ancak çevre, biyolojik, yiyecek ve jeolojik örneklerinde bulunan kurşun miktarı, atomik absorpsiyon spektrofotometrisi (AAS) gibi tekniklerin tayin limitlerinin altında olmasından dolayı çok zordur. Bu tayinlerin yapılabilmesi için kurşunun çeşitli ön zenginleştirme metotları ile zenginleştirilmesi gerekir.Bu çalışmada kurşunun zenginleştirilmesi ve ayrılması için silikajel katı desteği, fonksiyonel grup içeren tiyobarbitürük asit (L1), 5-amino-1,3,4-tiyadazol-2-tiyol (L2), kromotropik asitin sodyum tuzu (L4), tiyosalisilik asit (L5) ve o,o'-dietilditiyofosfat (L6) gibi ligandlar ile homojen yolla modifiye edilmiştir. Modifiye edilen sorbentlerin (P1, P2S, P4, P5 ve P6) karakterizasyonu için FT-IR, 13C CPMAS NMR, 29Si NMR ve o,o'-dietilditiyofosfat bağlı silikajel için 31P NMR'ı, elementel analizleri, XPS ile yüzey analizleri ve TGA-DTA ile ısı geçişleri analizleri kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca sentezlenen sorbentlerin BET ile yüzey alanları belirlenmiştir. Tüm tekniklerle sentezlerin yapılabildiği görülmüştür. İnorganik kurşun tayinleri AAS ile organik kurşun türleri de GC-MS'de SIM metodu ile çalışılmıştır.İnorganik kurşunun, Pb(II), sorpsiyonu için Batch (kesikli) yöntemi ile en uygun koşullar; pH, temas süresi, sorbent miktarı, kurşun(II) konsantrasyonu, çözelti hacmi belirlenmiş ve ayrıca desorpsiyon işlemlerinde geri kazanım çözeltisinin cinsi, miktarı ve konsantrasyonu bulunmuştur. Tüm sorbentler için sorpsiyon kapasiteleri belirlenmiş ve önzenginleştirme faktörleri hesaplanmıştır. Tüm sorbentler için en uygun pH 5,8, temas süresi 30 dakika ve sorbent miktarı da 0,1 g olarak bulunmuştur. Geri kazanma çözeltileri olarak P1, P2 ve P4 için EDTA çözeltisi, P5 için HNO3 çözeltisi ve P6 için de HCl çözeltisi kullanılmıştır. Kurşunun zenginleştirilmesinde kullanılan sorbentlerin önzenginleştirme faktörleri 15 ile 150 arasında bulunmuştur. Ayrıca sorbentlerin kapasite sonuçları ortalama 46 ile 72 ?mol Pb(II)/g sorbent olarak bulunmuştur.Sentezlenen sorbentler vişne suyuna eklenen Pb(II)'nin tayininde kullanılmış ve sadece P5 sorbentinin eklenen Pb(II)'nin tamamını sorpladığı gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca sorbentler ile yabancı iyonların ortamında kurşun tayin edilmiştir. Sadece, P5 sorbenti kurşun(II)'ye seçicilik göstermiştir. Organik kurşun türleri için ise P4 numaralı sorbent performans göstermiştir. Thus the determination of this element is often required in environmental, biological, food and geological samples. However, these analyses are difficult because such samples contain relatively low concentrations of which fall below the detection limit of conventional analytical techniques such as atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). Therefore, lead should be preconcentrated to with some preconcentration methods.In this study, silicagel was modified according to homogeneous route with ligand including functional groups such as thiobarbituric acid (L1), 5-amino-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole-2-thiol (L2), chromotropic acid (L4), thiosalicylic acid (L5) and o, o?-diethyldithiophosphate (L6). Modified silicagel sorbents (P1, P2s, P4, P5 and P6) was characterized by FT-IR, 13C CPMAS NMR, 29Si -NMR and 31P-NMR for O, O?-diethyldithiophosphate modified silicagel, elemental analysis, surface analysis by XPS and heat transfer analysis with TGA-DTA. Moreover, surface area was determined by BET analysis for modified silicagel sorbents. All techniques were shown that ligands were bound to silicagel. Inorganic lead determinations were made by AAS and organic lead species (tetreethyllead and tetramethyllead) was made by Gas chromatography- Mass Spectrometer (GC-MS) with SIM method.Optimum conditions for Pb (II) sorption parameters such as pH, contact time, amount of the sorbent, Pb (II) concentration and solution volume and for Pb (II) desorption parameters like eluent solution, its amount and concentration was determined by FAAS. For all sorbents, sorption capacities were obtained and enrichment factors were calculated. Optimum pH, contact time and sorbent amount was found as 5, 8, 30 minute and 0, 1 g, respectively, Eluent solution was chosen as a solution of EDTA for P1, P2S and P4, HNO3 for P5 and HCl for P6. Lead preconcentration factors of sorbents were found between 15 and 150. Also, sorbent capacities were obtained as an average 46 and 72 ?mol Pb (II)/g sorbent.Synthesized sorbents were used sour cherry juice spiked Pb (II) determination and it was observed that only P5 sorbent completely sorbed to Pb (II). Also, lead in foreign ions was sorbed by sorbents and only P5 sorbent showed selectivity to Pb (II) ions. P4 sorbents showed affinity to tetraethyllead and tetramethylead species.
