5. Pneumosinus Dilatans Case Mimicking Orbital Pathology In Patient With Visual Loss

Abstract

Pneumosinus dilatans is an abnormal localized dilatation of paranasal sinuses. Although cranialmagnetic resonance imaging can help for differentiation of paranasal sinuses, variations maybe misdiagnosed as a lesion. Susceptibility artifacts may be formed around tissues where themagnetic field sensitivity differs and these can be easily recognized. Atypical appearance atthese susceptibility artifacts can cause pseudolesion appearances that in turn cause misdiagnoses.If the artifact do not differentiation from the lesion, computed tomography should be performed.For this reason, in the differential diagnosis of lesions especially close to the paranasal sinuses,benign formations like sinus variations should be kept in mind in the cranial and orbital MRI.In this case, we aimed to present a case diagnosed at pneumosinus dilatans in control cranialcomputed tomography evaluation who came with loss of vision and is found pseudolesionappearance in orbital region neighbourhood in MRI, Pnömosinüs dilatans; paranazal sinüslerin anormal lokalize genişlemesidir. Kranial manyetikrezonans görüntüleme tetkikinde paranazal sinüsler ayırt edilebilmelerine karşın varyasyonlarıyanlışlıkla lezyon olarak algılanabilir. Manyetik alan duyarlılığının farklılık gösterdiği dokularınkomşuluğunda susseptibilite artefaktı oluşabilir ve kolaylıkla tanınırlar. Susseptibiliteartefaktlarının atipik görünümleri ise gerçek olmayan lezyon görünümüne yol açarak yanlıştanılara yol açmaktadır. Artefakt ile lezyon ayırımının yapılamadığı durumlarda bilgisayarlıtomografi incelemesi yapılmalıdır. Bu nedenle kranial veya orbital MRG incelemelerindeparanazal sinüslere komşu alanlarda izlenen lezyon görünümlerinde sinüs varyasyonları gibibenign oluşumlar ayırıcı tanıda düşünülmelidir. Bu yazıda görme kaybı ile başvuran ve kranialMRG tetkikinde orbital bölge komşuluğunda yalancı lezyon görünümü oluşturan ve yapılankontrol kranial bilgisyarlı tomografi tetkikinde pnömosinüs dilatans tespit edilen olguyu sunmayıamaçladık

Abstract

Ureteral stones are usually small and originate from kidney. Primary ureteral stone is very rare and is associated with an abnormality. The most important issue is to determine treatment options according to stone properties and patient's clinic in patients with urinary tract stones. Direct urinary system graph can detect ureteral stone but ultrasonography and computed tomography scans are more convenient to determine treatment options, number of stones, location, size, degree of obstruction, and differential diagnosis of calcification. Abstract

The article focuses on the case of a 45-year-old woman who was referred for Tc-99m sestimabi scintigraphy due to angina, palpitations, and septal aneurysm diagnosis on echocardiography. A lower mediastinum abnormal activity-associated normal uptake in the myocardium was shown using single photon emission computerized tomography. Diagnostic cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, also shows a harmony of the abnormal activity in the lower mediastinum and right atrium.
