This paper presents an advanced variant of learning programming by the use of the Internet and multimedia. It describes the development of a blended learning environment, which, in addition to classroom (face-to-face) lessons, introduces lessons delivered over the Internet: the use of multimedia teaching material with completely dynamic interactive simulations; the use of applications for regular checking and self-checking of the acquisition of knowledge; and applications for regular communication on the teaching material between students and lecturers. This blended learning environment has been developed with the purpose of upgrading the basic programming courses (Programming Fundamentals 1 and Programming Fundamentals 2) at the Advanced School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (VISER) in Belgrade, Serbia. The paper contains a brief description of the goals set, their development and implementation (structure design, the development of teaching materials, scenario implementation, and evaluation), and the results of the implementation and evaluation of these courses. AIM: To investigate the association between the periprocedural levels of interleukin-2 soluble receptor (sIL- 2R) and the incidence of restenosis in patients with implantation of bare metal stents(BMS) METHOD‟s: serum soluble IL-2R levels were measured in 52 patients (22 patients with non-STEMI acute coronary syndrome, and 30 patients with stable angina ) submitted to percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with implantation of BMS before the procedure and 24 hours later. Patients were folloved-up for one year and all of them submitted to single photon computed tomography stress testing at 4 months if they were free of angina, and if positive ischemia was found they went to coronarography. All symptomatic patients before 4 months went to coronarography without stress testing. RESULT‟s: Forty eight percent of all patients had postprocedural increase in serum sIL-2R. In-stent restenosis were diagnosed in 8 patients (15,4%), and all of theim had postprocedural increase of sIL-2R. The difference between the sIL-2R were 1,11ng/ml (0,60-1,96 ng/ml) vs -0,20 ng/ml(-0,91-1,11 ng/ml), p<0,01 in patients with compare to patients without restenosis, respectively. Multivariant analysis has shown that among possible relevant variables only diabetes and the clinical presentation of the disease were the independent predictor of periprocedural sIL-2R increase. CONCLUSION: Post PCI increase of sIL-2R blood level may reflet early T lymphocyte activation and can be used for the prediction of restenosis after intracoronary implantation BMS [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Conventional imaging modalities are presently recommended for the detection of liver metastases. However, the presence of liver micrometastases is a major diagnostic problem. It has been known that micrometastases could be associated with changes in the liver blood flow., Methods: We examined several parameters by color Doppler ultrasound to estimate hepatic artery flow in 30 patients without and 17 patients with liver metastases from colon cancer., Results: Mean values of hepatic artery diameter (4.25 + or - 0.81 mm in patients with liver metastases were not statistically different from those in patients without metastases (3.98 + or - 0.81). Patients with liver metastasis had significantly higher (p=0.007) mean values of systolic speed (61.33 + or - 30.01 cm/s) in comparison to patients without metastasis (41.38 + or - 16 cm/s)., Conclusion: Based on these results we suggest that color Doppler examination can be an additional quick noninvasive method in the detection of circulatory changes in the estimation of liver metastases.
