As an organic waste reducer, Black soldier fly (BSF) larvae are an alternative in overcoming organic waste problems. Environmental conditions, larval density, amount of waste, time of waste application, and type of waste are reasons why the existing organic waste treatment with BSF larvae still needs to be improved. The main objective of this research is to develop the potential of black soldier fly larvae in reducing various types of organic waste (vegetable, fruit, restaurant waste, and mixed waste). To achieve the main objective of this study, the steps taken were analyzing the environmental conditions at the research site, the density of larvae in the reactor, the amount of organic waste, and the time of waste feeding on larval survival and the effectiveness of organic waste reduction. To implement the stage, sample preparation, selection of waste samples, making reactors, starting waste treatment, and measuring the results were carried out. It was found that BSF larvae at temperatures up to 34 °C, pH 8 with a larval density of 200 larvae, feeding 100--200 mg/larvae/day for 21 days were able to reduce organic waste by 84.5% with a waste reduction index value of 4.02%, a digested feed conversion efficiency value of 16.15% and a larval survival rate of 100%. Environmental conditions, larval density, amount of waste, time of waste feeding, and type of waste fed succeeded in reducing organic waste quickly compared to other organic waste treatments. Worldwide, landslides claim many lives each year, with an average of 162.6 deaths reported in Japan from 1945 to 2019. There is growing concern about a potential increase in this number due to climate change. The primary source of shallow and rapid landslides within watersheds is the 0-order basins, which are located above the 1st order drainage system. These active geomorphological locations govern the frequency of mass movement. Despite the recognition of their importance, little attention has been paid to the role of 0-order basins in initiating landslides. Drainage systems can be extracted using the Digital Elevation Model (DEM) in GIS software. However, the effect of DEM resolution on the extraction of 1st order basins remains unexplained. This research develops an algorithm to assess the impact of DEM resolution on the extraction of first-order basins, channel head points, and the identification of approximate 0-order basins. The study includes algorithms to evaluate the correlation between DEM resolution and 1st order drainage system extraction using fuzzy classification techniques for approximate 0-order basins. The algorithm was applied in Toho Village, Fukuoka, Japan, defining the most appropriate DEM and stream definition threshold with an 86.48% accuracy and ±30 m error margin for channel head points. Critical slip surfaces were identified inside the 0-order basins and validated with a landslide inventory map with a 91% accuracy. Abstract: This paper summarizes the capabilities of geographical information system (GIS) in CO2 capture and geological storage (CCS). GIS is emerging as a useful tool for the spatio-temporal analysis, techno-economic feasibility and environmental assessment of CCS projects. A review on the recent case studies reveals the applicability of geo-information technology to the screening and analysis of emission sources, transportation and storage possibilities of CO2. This paper presents a survey on the methodologies, techniques and tools for modeling of the CO2 emission form stationary sources, CCS-GIS database development, spatial source-sink matching, and economic assessment.
