The aim of this study is to investigate the satisfaction level of students regarding the education of Turkish as a foreign language (TFL) during the pandemic caused by Covid-19. This study which was carried out to shed light on the effect of distance education practices on teaching Turkish as a foreign language, is important in terms of providing students with the opportunity to evaluate the process and raising awareness in the organization of education programs. The participants were 50 international university students who enrolled in the Turkish preparatory classes of Bursa Uludag University in the Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (ULUTÖMER) during the academic years of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. In the study, descriptive, relational and causal comparison methods from quantitative research methods were applied. The data within the scope of the research were obtained by using an attitude scale developed by the researcher, through a questionnaire applied to 50 volunteer students online via Google Docs Form. The analysis of the survey data was performed by using SPSS 26.0.0.0 and statistical methods such as Mann-Whitney 2, Independent Sample Test, Kruskal Wallis K, Independent Sample Test and Spearman Correlation Analysis were used to calculate the statistical findings. The statistical analysis of the questionnaire data showed that, the majority of participants who filled in the questionnaire stated that they were satisfied with the quality of online learning. In addition, students also stated that they were more satisfied with online teaching in comparison to face-to-face teaching. On the other hand, the statistical analysis further revealed that there was no significant relationship between the satisfaction levels of students learning Turkish and socio-demographic variables such as age and gender. Finally, no significant relationship was found between the comparative satisfaction levels of Turkish students and socio-demographic variables.

In this paper, we are devoted to study the existence and local attractivity of solutions for a class of integro-differential equations.Under the situation that the nonlinear term satisfy Carathéodory conditions and a noncompactness measure condition, we establish some existence and local attractivity of mild solutions by utilizing Mönch fixed point theorem, Kuratowski measure of noncompactness and resolvent operator theory in the sense of Grimmer.Our investigations will be situated in the Banach space of real functions which are defined, continuous, and bounded on the right-hand real half axis 𝕉+. Moreover an example is given to illustrate our outcomes.

We introduce a location-scale model for conditional heavy-tailed distributions when the covariate is deterministic. First, nonparametric estimators of the location and scale functions are introduced. Second, an estimator of the conditional extreme-value index is derived. The asymptotic properties of the estimators are established under mild assumptions and their finite sample properties are illustrated both on simulated and real data.

This article presents the results of our research on the modeling of an HPT SiGe heterojunction phototransistor. Usually this HPTs type work for a single point of polarization in this work, we were interested in modeling the same HPT on different points of polarization. We will model the HPT to operate at both 2V and 3V, so that we can use the HPT at multiple bias points and reduce costs and allow the reuse of the HPT SiG heterojunction phototransistor on further studies. For a defined point of polarization we will optimize the operation of the HPT so that it flies with the dynamic measurements and we will not base on this HPT by modifying certain values and components so that the HTP works on the other points of polarization.

Introduction : La maladie parodontale (MP) est une maladie inflammatoire complexe qui détruit les tissus de soutien de la dent (parodonte) avec une étiologie multifactorielle elle a été liée au diabète, aux obstructions chroniques des voies respiratoires, aux maladies rénales chroniques, aux syndromes métaboliques, à certains types de cancers, la polyarthrite rhumatoïde et aux maladies cardiovasculaires. Les maladies cardiovasculaires (MCV) constituent un ensemble de troubles affectant le cœur et les vaisseaux sanguins, leur cause la plus courante est l’athérosclérose, qui correspond à un remaniement pathologique de la paroi interne des artères de gros et moyen calibres par accumulation de lipides, glucides complexes, éléments sanguins et dépôts calcaires, formant des plaques d’athérosclérose. Ainsi, l’objectif de cette revue de la littérature est de déterminer la relation entre les maladies parodontales et les maladies cardiovasculaires. Matériels et Méthodes : Pour ce travail une stratégie de recherche documentaire électronique a été réalisée dans 2 bases de données dont Pub Med et Google scholar. Ainsi 423 articles traitant la relation entre les maladies parodontales et les maladies cardiovasculaires publiés en anglais ou en français avec texte intégral dans la période allant de 1989 à 2016 ont été sélectionnés. Les titres et résumés des articles retrouvés grâce à la stratégie de recherche ont été passés en revue. Les articles qui n’étaient pas pertinents pour une inclusion ont été écartés dès ce stade. Les données recueillies ont subi une analyse après mise en œuvre des critères d’inclusions : Etudes réalisées chez les humains et rédigées en anglais ou en français et publiés entre 1989 à 2016. Les articles inclus étaient ceux après lecture des titres, des résumés jugés pertinents dont 35 articles traitant la relation entre les maladies parodontales et les Maladies Cardiovasculaires ont été sélectionnés. Résultat : Au total 35 articles traitant la relation entre les maladies parodontales et les Maladies cardiovasculaires ont été sélectionnés compte tenu de leurs cohérence et pertinence. La limite a été la consultation que de 2 bases de données. Les bactériémies associées aux parodontites sont responsables d’une activation de la réponse immuno-inflammatoire favorisant la formation, la maturation et la complication des plaques d’athérome. Il existe un risque accru de MCV chez les patients atteints de parodontite chronique, indépendamment des autres facteurs de risques cardiovasculaires. Le traitement parodontal réduit le niveau d’inflammation systémique et améliore la fonction endothéliale, mais ne modifie pas la dyslipidémie. Conclusion : avec une étiologie infectieuse pour les maladies et divers pour les maladies cardiovasculaires, un lien a été établi entre les deux maladies dans diverses études épidémiologiques et cliniques mais toutes fois reste controverse dans d’autre.

With a long-term aim of empowering researchers everywhere to contribute to work on language development, we organized the First Truly Global /L+/ International Summer/Winter School on Language Acquisition, a free 5-day virtual school for early career researchers. In this paper, we describe the school, our experience organizing it, and lessons learned. The school had a diverse organizer team, composed of 26 researchers (17 from under represented areas: Subsaharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Central and South America); and a diverse volunteer team, with a total of 95 volunteers from 35 different countries, nearly half from under represented areas. This helped world-wide Page 5 of 5 promotion of the school, leading to 958 registrations from 88 different countries, with 300 registrants (based in 63 countries, 80% from under represented areas) selected to participate in the synchronous aspects of the event. The school employed asynchronous (pre-recorded lectures, which were close-captioned) and synchronous elements (e.g., discussions to place the recorded lectures into participants' context; networking events) across three time zones. A post-school questionnaire revealed that 99% of participants enjoyed taking part in the school. Not with standing these positive quantitative outcomes, qualitative comments suggested we fell short in several areas, including the geographic diversity among lecturers and greater customization of contents to the participants' contexts. Although much remains to be done to promote inclusivity in linguistic research, we hope our school will contribute to empowering researchers to investigate and publish on language acquisition in their home languages, to eventually result in more representative theories and empirical generalizations.

The reliable and timely detection of poliovirus infection through surveillance for acute flaccid paralysis (AFP), supplemented by environmental surveillance (ES) of sewage samples, is a critical component of the polio eradication programme. Since 1988, the number of polio cases caused by wild poliovirus (WPV) has decreased by >99.9%, and eradication of WPV serotypes 2 and 3 has been certified; only serotype 1 (WPV1) continues to circulate and transmission remains endemic in Afghanistan and Pakistan. In this surveillance update, we evaluated indicators of AFP in surveillance, ES for polioviruses and data on the performance of the Global Polio Laboratory Network (GPLN) provided by 28 priority countries for the programme during 2022-2023. No WPV1 cases have been detected outside those countries since August 2022, when importation into Malawi and Mozambique resulted in an outbreak during 2021-2022. During 2022-2023, 20 of 28 priority countries (71.4%) met national AFP surveillance indicator targets, and the number of ES sites increased. Low national rates of reported AFP cases in priority countries in 2023 might have been due to lags in surveillance reporting; substantial national and subnational AFP surveillance gaps persist. Maintaining high-quality surveillance is critical to achieving the goal of global polio eradication. Monitoring surveillance indicators is important to identifying gaps and guiding surveillance-strengthening activities, particularly in countries at high risk for poliovirus circulation. La detection fiable et rapide de l'infection a poliovirus au moyen de la surveillance de la paralysie flasque aigue (PFA), completee par une surveillance des echantillons d'eaux usees, est un element essentiel du programme d'eradication de la poliomyelite. Depuis 1988, le nombre de cas de poliomyelite dus au poliovirus sauvage (PVS) a diminue de >99,9% et l'eradication des serotypes 2 et 3 du PVS a ete certifiee; seul le serotype 1 du poliovirus sauvage (PVS1) continue de circuler et la transmission demeure endemique en Afghanistan et au Pakistan. Dans ce rapport faisant le point sur la surveillance, nous evaluons les indicateurs de la PFA a des fins de surveillance pour la recherche des poliovirus et les donnees relatives aux performances du Reseau mondial de laboratoires pour la poliomyelite (RMLP) communiquees par les 28 pays prioritaires pour le programme en 2022-2023. Aucun cas du au PVS1 n'a ete detecte en dehors de ces pays depuis aout 2022, apres une flambee epidemique en 2021-2022 due a l'importation du virus au Malawi et au Mozambique. En 2022-2023, 20 des 28 pays prioritaires (71,4 %) ont atteint les cibles des indicateurs de surveillance de la PFA, et le nombre de sites de surveillance environnementale a augmente. Le faible nombre de cas de PFA signales dans les pays prioritaires en 2023 pourrait etre du a des retards dans la communication des donnees issues de la surveillance; d'importantes lacunes en matiere de surveillance de la PFA a l'echelle nationale et infranationale persistent. Il est essentiel de maintenir une surveillance de qualite afin d'atteindre l'eradication de la poliomyelite a l'echelle mondiale. In the conditions placor soil Meshchovskiy Opole the Central economic region of the Nonchernozem zone of the Russian Federation on agro-gray forest middle loamy soils defined by the main species composition of segetal complex field agrophytocenoses in the structure of five fields grain and grain-grass crop rotation in the limit of syntaxon Stellarietea mediae R. Tx. et al. ex von Rochow 1951. The combinations of weed and field species specific to field crops are established and the influence of minimization of basic tillage is shown, including No-till, and applying calculated norms of mineral fertilizers (NPK) on the dynamics of the species composition and number of the main components of the segetal complex is shown. The original synanthropic plant communities on the fallow lands of Meshchovsky Opole develop from the segetal complex of previous agrophytocenoses. The core of the cenoflora is represented by 104 species of higher herbage plants from 29 families. Synanthropic communities have a low species saturation – 8 species per 100 m2 and a projection coverage of 57.6%. In acesite territories the advantage is given to the types of anemochory edificatory.
