ObjectiveTo provide reference for rational rice consumption and government safety supervision in China， the potential health risk in different populations was evaluated based on the investigation results of Cadmium （Cd） exposure from rice.MethodsCd of 6 249 rice samples was determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry （ICP-MS）， the Cd pollution level and distribution characteristic in rice were analyzed. Monte-Carlo simulations were employed to estimate the cumulative distribution function of Hazard quotients （HQ） and Cancer-risk index （CR） of Cd exposure from rice to assess the potential health risks of rice consumption.ResultsThe average Cd content in rice samples from four regions， weighted by regional yield， was 0.1661 mg/kg， 25.99% of the overall rice samples and 56.64% of the rice samples from Central China exceeded the national limit. Analysis showed that Cd exposure level from rice in Northeast China was low and there was no carcinogenic or non-carcinogenic health risk. In other regions， the probability range of non-carcinogenic health risk level of HQ>1 was 0.06%~7.12% for adults and 0.15%~11.44% for children， respectively. The probability range of carcinogenic risk level of CR>10-4 was 0.16%~72.55% for adults and 0.26%~77.93% for children， respectively. The potential health risk caused by Cd exposure from rice was highest in Central China.ConclusionThere are high health risks of Cd exposure from rice in part of China， especially in Central China. The exposure risk of Cd from rice to children was higher than that of adults. It’s suggested that more attention should be paid to Cd exposure from rice for the critical areas and children.

This study aimed to investigate the association between these Blood pressure (BP) components examined in this study, including systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), pulse pressure (PP), and mean arterial pressure (MAP), with the presence of multiple carotid plaques in a low-income rural Chinese population. Methods: This population-based cross-sectional study was conducted from April 2014 to January 2015, involving participants from the Tianjin Brain Study. Participants aged 45 years and older with diagnosed carotid plaques were included. Data on demographics, medical history, and lifestyle factors were collected through interviews and existing records. Blood pressure measurements were taken in a quiet room, following the standard procedures recommended by the American Hypertension Association (AHA), and ultrasonographic examinations were performed to identify and quantify carotid plaques. Multivariate logistic regression model was used to explore the association between blood pressure components and multiple plaques. The blood pressure component with a positive univariate analysis was included in different models, each adjusted for age, sex, body mass index (BMI), and the ratio of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) to low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). Results: The study found that 41.8% of participants had multiple carotid plaques, with a higher prevalence in men compared to women. Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that each 1-mmHg increase in systolic BP (SBP) was associated with a 0.9% increase in the prevalence of multiple carotid plaques (OR = 1.009; 95% CI 1.004– 1.014; P < 0.001). Each 1-mmHg increase in pulse pressure (PP) was associated with a 1.2% increase (OR = 1.012; 95% CI 1.006– 1.018; P < 0.001), and each 1-mmHg increase in mean arterial pressure (MAP) was associated with a 1.1% increase (OR = 1.011; 95% CI 1.003– 1.019; P = 0.005). Participants with a history of hypertension had a significantly higher prevalence of multiple carotid plaques compared to normotensive individuals. Notably, grade 2 hypertension showed a significant association with multiple carotid plaques (OR = 1.554; 95% CI 1.135– 2.127; P = 0.006). In addition, male sex, older age, and low BMI were all associated with a higher risk of multiple carotid plaques (P all< 0.05). Conclusion: This study provides critical evidence on the relationship between BP components and multiple carotid plaques, with significant implications for patients, physicians, and society. By prioritizing BP management, particularly focusing on PP, which demonstrates the strongest association with carotid plaques, as well as targeting higher-risk populations such as males, older individuals, and those with low BMI, preventive measures against carotid atherosclerosis can be enhanced. The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of lysolecithin supplementation in a low-energy diet on growth performance, nutrient digestibility and liver lipid metabolism of yellow-feather broilers. A total of 900 one-day-old male broilers were randomly divided into five treatment groups with 6 replicates. The dietary treatments were followed as control group (CON, basal diet), low energy group (LE, reduced 0.25 MJ/kg of metabolisable energy than basal diet), and experimental groups supplemented with 500, 750, or 1000 g/T of lysolecithin (LPL500, LPL750, and LPL1000) in LE diet. The results showed that LE treatment significantly increased the feed to gain ratio (F/G) of broilers during the whole period compared to CON group. Compared with the LE group, lysolecithin addition reduced the F/G of broiler over the entire period and significantly increased the digestibility of ether extract on 21 d and the VH/CD ratio of the jejunum and ileum over the whole period. Lysolecithin supplementation also increased chymotrypsin activity on 21 d and lipase activity on 52 d in duodenum and apolipoprotein A4 (APOA4) expression in liver tissue on 52 d compared with LE treatment. In conclusion, lysolecithin could alleviate the growth retardation caused by low ME diet through improving lipase and chymotrypsin activity, intestinal morphology, nutrients digestibility and absorption. Lysolecithin improves nutrient digestibility in yellow-feathered broilers by improving intestinal morphology. Lysolecithin increases hepatic APOA4 expression in yellow-feathered broilers. In order to discuss the clinical and MRI features, diagnosis, and prevention of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody‐associated disease (MOGAD), we reported an adult case of MOG antibody‐related disease misdiagnosed as cerebral infarction. This patient's first clinical symptom was limb weakness, that different from previous reports of MOG antibody‐related diseases, such as brainstem encephalitis, neuromyelitis optical, and transverse myelitis. The main treatment plan is high‐dose corticosteroid therapy combined with immunoglobulin therapy. This case indicated that some MOGAD patients lack of specificity in the clinical manifestations and imaging perhaps would be misdiagnosed as cerebral infarction, encephalitis, immune peripheral neuropathy, MS, NMOSD, and other diseases. For patients with atypical clinical manifestations or imaging, it is especially important to take antibody detection as early as possible to make correct diagnosis and active treatment in time to avoid disability. Near‐infrared (NIR) synaptic devices have attracted great attention in the field of NIR vision sensors due to their highly parallel sensing and memory functions, which emulate the basic biomimetic behaviors of the human visual system. However, it is a great challenge for the 2D material to achieve NIR light response and integration, which obstructs the progress of NIR synaptic devices. Hence, a two‐terminal NIR synaptic device based on a multilayer MoSe2 moiré superlattice is reported. The moiré structure dominated by interlayer excitons significantly enhances the interlayer coupling of multilayer MoSe2, resulting in a narrower band gap nearly to that of bulk to achieve NIR light response and broadband absorption from 240 nm to 1700 nm. The existence of Se vacancies in MoSe2 moiré superlattice makes the device show the fundamental synaptic performance. Furthermore, a 10×10 integrated retinal morphologic device array is constructed. Under the 100 s light pulse stimulation of 1060 nm, the pattern obtained after attenuation of 50 s still has a memory level of 14.84%, reflecting the excellent storage function under NIR illumination.
