The rate of population growth in Sukabumi Regency continues to grow, along with the increasing need for food. This population growth, combined with the constant changes in land cover can reduce the productivity of environment in providing natural capital for food availability. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the condition of ecosystem service provision for a decade in Sukabumi Regency due to changes in land cover. In general, the efficient use of remote sensing method and geographic information systems to monitor ecosystem services had received widespread recognition. Following this scenario, the current study used geospatial analysis with dasymetric method which was integrated with supply and demand formulas for ecosystem services provision, food availability, and remote sensing. Geographic information system was also used for land cover interpretation data. The results showed that three districts in Sukabumi Regency, namely Cicurug, Cibadak, and Cicantayan, had "exceeded" condition when the environmental condition already passed the threshold or were unable to support population's needs. Meanwhile, the other districts have "not exceeded" condition, when the environmental conditions were still able to fulfill the needs of population. Finally, the changes in agricultural land cover had a significant influence on the condition of ecosystem services. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Indonesia, as a promising developing country, faced with the fact that the development is not evenly distributed. Moreover, the number of people living in urban area is more and increasing at least 2.1% per year according to Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Hence, urban area has better transportation access and public facilites. However, high number of people living in urban area leads to spatial confilcts if spatial planning is not carried out based on sustainable development. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out long-term spatial planning using predictions of changes in land use/land cover in Indonesia. The purpose of this literature review is to get an overview of research development trends related to predictions of land use/land cover in Indonesia. Based on bibliometric analysis, the research trend related to this topic is that most research locations are in urban areas using satellite imagery input data and the Cellular Automata- Marcov Chain (CA-MC) method for making predictive models. Meanwhile, open source land cover datasets have not been widely used in land use/land cover prediction research in Indonesia. This can be used as input for updating further research. Indonesia needs a daily monitoring system due to its frequent fires and, more importantly, to assist stakeholders in the field in taking action to mitigate disasters. Our method simplified the number of hotspots for field-based purposes and was verified by comparing the point-based (point-HS) VIIRS (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite) 375m-derived temperature anomalies (hotspots) and clustered-based hotspots (cluster-HS, our suggested method). Using Euclidean clustering, we calculated the distance between hotspot points and applied specific criteria to reduce the number of hotspots while aligning them closely with fire incidents. We evaluated accuracy at different fire sizes, burned areas, peatlands, and distances from the reported burn center. We found that the accuracy increases at 1.5 km from the center of the fire for both point- and cluster-HS at 52% and 53%, respectively. For areas larger than 14 ha, both types of hotspots yielded superior results of 83%. Cluster-HS performs better on peatlands than non-peatlands (62% vs. 57%). Without diminishing the precision of the hotspot observation, this study indicates that our method is reliable for assisting field stakeholders in the field in taking actions. In the 21st century, the world is faced with COVID-19 global pandemic that has had wide-ranging health, social, food, and economic negative impacts throughout the world and also in Indonesia due to the cessation of the mobility of most people and economic engines. The creative empowers the community based on innovation and creativity proven and is one of the pillars of disaster risk reduction recovering the social and economic impact of COVID-19 in the community. The method used is an ethnographic approach starting from the collection of literature sources and supported by field data. The results show that the concept of the creative economy is creative ideas developed by humans supported by the use of technology to produce innovative products and cultures, having regional imagery but are globally competitive and can ultimately provide value to the national economy. Intellectual actors included are not only academics but also include industry players, pioneers, figures in the arts, culture, and sciences who have a role in providing creative ideas, innovations in the creative industry. The result is a triplex helix model in mitigating the effect of the covid19 disaster by connecting intellectuals, businesses, and the government in a creative economic structure.

The Indonesian government has evaluated the research performance of universities, whose measurement process is projected into resources, management, outputs, and revenues to determine the provision of incentives, grants, and program funding to universities. However, efficiency calculations have shown that the outputs and competition-based incentives that drive scientific productivity are more complex. The most competitive systems must also be the most productive when considering resources. This study aimed to analyze the research efficiency in the Indonesian higher education system. The efficiency was analyzed by maximizing the 13 product outputs from the research budget and university staff. The result was then compared with the existing performance measurement analysis. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was used to evaluate the efficiency based on the data of 47 universities in the Mandiri cluster and 144 in the Utama cluster for the 2014–2018 period. These findings showed that about 68% of universities have an efficiency value of 1 for the Mandiri group, almost 40% in the Utama group, and 41% for the two groups combined. Additionally, this study compared the efficiency analysis and the impact of the performance evaluation. The comparison showed that adding efficiency or productivity factors in the performance evaluation assessment produced a more accurate result. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Open green Space is a spatial plan model aiming to maintain the quality of the environment. Nowadays, the number and distribution of Open green Space have decreased, particularly in urban areas. Such decline is due to many reasons, one of which is land conversion caused by social activities. This research aimed to analyse the distribution pattern and identify the type of Open green Space in Yogyakarta City. The method in this study using moran's I Index approach, GIS and direct field review. The results showed that the Open green Space was clustered with Moran's Index of 0,074594. Validation with field check indicated that there was an absence of even, thorough, and most recent Open green Space identification. Visual detection using high-resolution satellite images and aerial photos affirmed that many open green spaces had not been inventoried, justifying the need for data update in Yogyakarta City. The identification process resulted in different types of Open green Space, but the most widely distributed ones in Yogyakarta City were in the forms of Private yard, Office park, Green belt, and City Parks.
