The recent development of soft fluidic analogs to electrical components aims to reduce the demand for rigid and bulky electromechanical valves and hard electronic controllers within soft robots. This ongoing effort is advanced in this work by creating sheet‐based fluidic diodes constructed from readily available flexible sheets of polymers and textiles using a layered fabrication approach amenable to manufacturing at scale. These sheet‐based fluidic diodes restrict reverse flow over a wide range of differential pressures—exhibiting a diodicity (the ratio of resistance to reverse vs forward flow) of approximately 100×—to address functional limitations exhibited by prior soft fluidic diodes. By harnessing the diode's highly unidirectional flow, soft devices capable of 1) facilitating the capture and storage of pressurized fluid, 2) performing Boolean operations using diode logic, 3) enabling binary encoding of circuits by preventing interactions between different pressurized input lines, and 4) converting oscillating input pressures to a direct current‐like, positively phased output are realized. This work exemplifies the use of fluidic diodes to achieve complex patterns of actuation and unique capabilities through embedded fluidic circuitry, enabling future development of sheet‐based systems—including wearable and assistive robots made from textiles—as well as other soft robotic devices. In this paper, a high-density programmable logic array based on a ternary memristor crossbar array is designed. Based on the three-valued state characteristics of the ternary memristor, we implement the ternary OR logic gate and a standard ternary inverter to demonstrate the application of this proposed crossbar by using reconfigurable and programmable connections of the memristor cells in the array. Subsequently, on the basis of these logic gates, ternary NAND gates, NOR gates, XOR gates and XNOR gates are further realized. The above-mentioned logic gates all use memristance as the logic state variable. Finally, we verified the functionality of the programmable gate array based on the proposed ternary memristor crossbar through SPICE simulation and gave the power consumption of each circuit under different input conditions. This study is devoted to the development of a logical system to improve the efficiency of wind turbines with the identification of patterns and relationships between wind speeds and directions in urban conditions. The results of the study made it possible to identify approaches to use wind energy efficiently to produce electricity with minimal losses for the power supply of urban facilities. Data Mining methods were applied, the dependencies between weather data were examined. Machine Learning algorithms have also been applied to forecast wind speed and direction in order to increase the efficiency of power generation. A thorough exploratory data analysis was carried out, including visualization of meteorological data and the study of their statistical indicators. To predict wind speed, numerical indicators such as air temperature, wind direction, pressure tendency and atmospheric pressure were taken. Linear Regression, Decision Tree and Support Vector Machine were taken as Machine Learning models. The results revealed that the Random Forest turned out to be the most effective, with a mean squared error of 0.302. According to the results of the research, it was found that the initial data on the characteristics of the wind are highly distorted when it circulates in the urban environment due to the influence of urban development. However, the use of a logical system made it possible to predict and adapt the operation of wind turbines to changes in wind characteristics with minimal losses. A pivotal outcome of this study is the creation of a real-time data processing system, enabling accurate predictions of wind characteristics from speed and direction measuring devices. Additionally, a MATLAB Simulink-based computer model was developed to explore the logical system's influence on wind turbine performance. The findings underscore the efficacy of employing forecasting within a logical system framework to harness wind energy efficiently, contributing to sustainable urban energy solutions. This paper introduces the use of an extra X current conveyor (EXCCII) for realizing logic operations, suited for mixed signal design, without necessitating separate digital blocks. The NOR and OR logic functions are thus shown to be realized using the current-mode analog building block operable at a low voltage. The use of ± 0. 7 5 V supply makes the new circuits operable at low voltage. The EXCCII bias current used in the design is 25 μ A. The input currents for defining logic 0 and logic 1 are, respectively, taken as 0 mA and 0.5 mA. The proposed circuits' delay is found to be 10 ns for low-to-high transition, while 2 ns for high-to-low transition for NOR gate under capacitive loading conditions. The use of the current-mode approach makes the new proposed circuit apt for current-mode signal processing. The new proposed logic function circuits are compatible with analog circuits, thus providing an easy merger for mixed signal systems design, paving the way to a modular design approach. As an extended application in artificial neural networks, the proposed circuit is shown to generate a sigmoid activation function with convincing results. Several results are included by varying the reference current, and the circuit's robustness aspect is also tested in the presence of fluctuation in the bias current of EXCCII. Many pathological conditions are a result of intragenic epistasis; however, there are ambiguities in current epistasis models. Herein, the new Mutation Interaction Spectrum model defines a discrete outcome, named a Mutation Interaction , for each double point mutation in a gene and its component single mutations. The model is a universal genetic model of all types of mutation interactions and their functional outcomes and is derived from digital logic, commonly used in electrical engineering. Mutation interactions are normally classified as positive and negative epistasis. The model logics unifies common genetic relationships into one model, normalizing biological nomenclature, and disambiguates them with the 16 possible logic-based interactions. The model was tested by assaying transcriptional activity induced by HIV-1 Tat protein, for a random sampling of 3429 double mutations and all 1615 single mutations. All possible types of logic were observed for the Tat mutation interactions. • Universal Genetic Model: The Mutation Interaction Spectrum (MIS) is based on digital logic that precisely classifies mutant interactions and epistasis. • Model Advantages: The MIS unifies and normalizes a literature nomenclature and is extensible to other two component biological systems. • Model Applications: The MIS model disambiguates all possible logics, revealing conservation of logics and -a likely role in selection. In soft devices, complex actuation sequences and precise force control typically require hard electronic valves and microcontrollers. Existing designs for entirely soft pneumatic control systems are capable of either digital or analog operation, but not both, and are limited by speed of actuation, range of pressure, time required for fabrication, or loss of power through pull-down resistors. Using the nonlinear mechanics intrinsic to structures composed of soft materials—in this case, by leveraging membrane inversion and tube kinking—two modular soft components are developed: a piston actuator and a bistable pneumatic switch. These two components combine to create valves capable of analog pressure regulation, simplified digital logic, controlled oscillation, nonvolatile memory storage, linear actuation, and interfacing with human users in both digital and analog formats. Three demonstrations showcase the capabilities of systems constructed from these valves: 1) a wearable glove capable of analog control of a soft artificial robotic hand based on input from a human user’s fingers, 2) a human-controlled cushion matrix designed for use in medical care, and 3) an untethered robot which travels a distance dynamically programmed at the time of operation to retrieve an object. INTRODUCTIONSigns can be placed not only in the construction of a sentence (speech) but also in an abstract linear system, with the difference that in speech, signs are not randomly placed in the order of accompaniment, but that production is said to be affected always from the characteristics of the human subjects (mediators or operators). MATERIALS AND METHODS The effect of mediators on the arrangement of signifiers in the process of speech and texts makes us use multiple and more complex variables in the analysis of signs and discursive systems. The sensory-perceptual mood of the sign user, affected by various phenomena and variables, affects the conditions for the production and reception of signs. These conditions make it necessary to consider different cognitive and emotional categories in analysis. These variables can be represented on the axis of tension and on the square of the discursive systems. RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONThe question is: what is the difference between the production and reception of signs in both normal and abnormal situations (such as rumors) in terms of tension and discursive systems. The most common form of sign production and use can be found in a programmatic and logical discursive system. To the extent that we deviate from the normal situation, the ground is prepared for drawing an accident discursive system. The statement that is produced in the normal state of the signs can be considered equivalent to "news" in the conventional sense, and therefore the opposite point must be interpreted as "false" which, if prevalent, is considered a "rumor". The mechanism of overcoming the situation when "enunciation" can be considered as a rumor in the system of signification is the subject of the present study. The purpose of this article is to explain the mechanism of evolution of signs in the process of discursive evolution in which rumors are produced and transformed. The research hypothesis is that the phenomenon of rumor causes the emergence of an accidental discursive system. In this discursive system, due to the heavy reduction in cognitive categories, the level of tension is at the highest level and the signs are very fluid. In order to examine this situation in a suitable literary text, a text called “The Power of the Rumor” was chosen. This text has been produced and reproduced in various forms, itself as a rumor, in the context of the internet digital space. This text is like a rumor without evidence and has taken a different form in each reproduction. It seemed that this text will better show us the natural mechanism of producing and receiving a signal that carries the concept of rumor. CONCLUSIONThe results show that there is a set of factors that the process of discourse is always influenced by : the energies that affect the linguistic production of the narrator, the scope of vision, the perspective on which the linguistic production is formed, the linguistic challenges that determine the degree of tension in linguistic productions, the image that the narrator has of himself, his partner or discursive rival at all times, constantly changing individual methods or manners of speech that are formed based on cultural and social backgrounds, linguistic capabilities, temporal and spatial conditions, etc., and cognitive, emotional, aesthetic, sensory-perceptual elements. According to research findings, rumors, based on a sensory-perceptual error, in the form of an event, create an accidental discursive system. In the face of such a situation, ordinary people whose actions are more emotionally-reactive, respond in a rejectionist selective approach, but specialist subjects, whose actions are more rational, with an interactive approach, in the form of a communicative respond. There is a causal relationship between the cognitive state and the emotional stress of the actors and their actions and value systems. In this way, the ordinary people, with limited knowledge and under intensive emotional tension, draw an absolute and closed value system, but a specialized subject, with extensive recognition and under low emotional stress, illustrates democratic and open value system. According to the results of this study, accidental discursive system is at the beginning of this process and a programmatic discursive system in its precursor. Ordinary people, due to the lack of cognition and foresight, provide digital logic and strengthen the risky aspect of the system, However, the elites and specialized subjects, based on analog logic, gradually evolve the process of evolution of signs which they direct it till the final goal.According to the research’s results, rumor is a semantic defect produced by the narrator whose physical and sensory-perceptual base is defective (defect, disease) and occurs as an accident. Bringing back the discourse to its ordinary logical situation needs a rational management.

In the modern Block-chain and Artificial Intelligence era, energy efficiency has become one of the most important design concerns. Approximate computing is a new and an evolving field promising to provide energy-accuracy trade-off. Several applications are tolerant to small degradation in results, and hence tasks like image and video processing are candidates to benefit from Approximate Computing. In this paper, we propose a new design approach for designing approximate adders and further optimize the accuracy and cost metrics. Our approach is based on minimizing the errors while cascading more than one 1-bit adder. We insert | error | = 1 on specific locations to achieve a reasonable circuit minimization and reduce the error × count gate cost. We compare our design with exact adder and relevant state-of-the-art approximate adders. Through analysis and simulations, we show that our approach provides higher accuracy and far better performance compared with other designs. The proposed double bit approximate adder provides more than 25% savings in gate count compared with the exact adder, has a mean absolute error of 0.25 which is lowest among all the reference approximate adders and reduces the power-delay product by more than 60% compared to the exact adder. When employed for image filtering, the proposed design provides a PSNR avg of 96%, a SNR avg of 95% and a SSIM avg of 91% relative to the actual results, while the second best approximate adder only achieves 64%, 54% and 71% of these image quality metrics, respectively. The high energy consumption of integrated electronics products and expensive methods of their production makes scaling silicon semiconductor devices to sizes less than 50 nm a difficult technological and design task. Recently, significant advances have been made in the development and research of molecular electronics products: molecular wires, molecular diodes made from individual molecules. Good results also obtained in the technology of forming a reliable electrical contact with electrically conductive molecules. Advances in nanoelectronics make it possible to develop more complex molecular electronic structures such as digital logic circuits. In this work, a quantum-chemical simulation of a molecule performing the function of a logical element is carried out, the equilibrium spatial configuration of the molecule is optimized, the design is developed and the topology of the layers for fabricating a substrate for mounting a molecule and creating external interfaces is developed. The obtained results demonstrate the promise of organic electronics as an alternative to silicon semiconductor materials in the development of integrated circuits.

The purpose of this article is to apply innovative analogue and digital thinking processes that, first, negate DSM (III to 5th Eds.) understandings of anorexia, and then formulate a bases which encapsulates alternative understandings of the universal patterns of behavior, understandings that honour and embrace the patterns of behavior expressed by each person. Published research of lived experiences of persons who exhibit patterns of behavior and attitudes towards food, weight, body shape and size, that are deemed to be diagnostic criteria of anorexia nervosa, provides evidence that those patterns of behavior serve as coping mechanisms against the suffocating forces of unwanted, specific, and personal discourses in their lives. As a consequence of this application, the article argues that these universal patterns of behavior and attitudes to food, weight and body image, expressed uniquely by each person, are expressions, images and ideas of a specific form of an archetype, with each person having their personal and unique reasons for their behavioral expressions. This analyses indicates that these persons do not "suffer from" a mental eating disorder called anorexia, and that psychotherapeutic approaches for each person should focus on the problems in their lives, problems that cause them to express the images and ideas of a universal archetype. This article introduces the possible usage of the developed programming discourse that can be used to support training in the digital logic area. The discourse merges several programming paradigms into one solution. The intended learners are secondary school students focused on digital system programming. The main intent is to find out whether digital logic curriculum based on Digital Circuits Based Logical Programming (DCBLP) inheritance has positive impact on the students and the way they explore the digital logic itself. Students’ cognitive and affective areas are in the scope of this preliminary research and questionnaires and cognitive tests will help to support the research. Experimental and control groups were used to gather relevant records. To analyse and support the interpretation of the data gathered by questionnaires, the chi-square test (two-tailed) has been used. ANOVA has been used to evaluate data for the achievement test results. The preliminary research revealed there is a possibility of using developed programming discourse DCBLP in digital logic training. Students claim overall usefulness of the discourse in the training; the strong motivation power of the programming discourse itself has not been discovered. From the test we conclude that the performance of the students trained using new programming discourse is significantly better. It is possible to use more different programming paradigms, such as imperative and declarative, in one solution to support training in the area of digital logic. Such solutions can enhance the way the students deal with the programming languages and also supports interdisciplinary relationships.

We experimentally demonstrate the first static random-access memory (SRAM) arrays based on carbon nanotube (CNT) field-effect transistors (CNFETs). We demonstrate 1 kbit (1024) 6 transistor (6T) SRAM arrays fabricated with complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) CNFETs (totaling 6144 p- and n-type CNFETs), with all 1024 cells functioning correctly without any per-unit customization. Moreover, we show the first demonstration of CNFET CMOS 10T SRAM cells, capable of operating at highly scaled voltages down to 300 mV. We characterize the CNFET CMOS SRAM and demonstrate robust operation by writing and reading multiple patterns (to both the kbit arrays as well as the 10T SRAM cells), measuring SRAM variations in read, write, and hold margins and repeat cycling of cells. Moreover, due to the low-temperature back-end-of-line (BEOL)-compatible CNT-specific processing, CNFET SRAM enables new opportunities for digital systems, since: 1) CNFET SRAM can be fabricated directly on top of computing logic to realize three-dimensional integrated circuits; and 2) CNFET circuits can utilize metal routing both above and below the CNFET device layer (e.g., as in our demonstration which utilizes buried power rails, whereby the power rails are fabricated underneath the FETs while metal routing is fabricated above the FETs), providing opportunities for further SRAM density scaling. The question at the heart of this essay begins with a curious mid-twentieth-century co-occurrence in the Anglo-American world: on the one hand, of the invention and transformative spread of digital computing; on the other hand, the return from philosophical exile of "ontology" and its subsequent pluralization. What makes this co-occurrence interesting is, first, the machine's requirement of a "model"—and so an ontology—of the domain to be affected, and second, the indeterminate nature of all digital models. Furthermore, as improvements in the technology have made the machine an ever more fit instrument of that "wily intelligence" (mẽtis) celebrated by Marcel Detienne and Jean-Pierre Vernant (1974), the laborious construction of models has become the agile practice of modeling—and so brought ever greater emphasis to local, experimental, shifting ontologies. To make Power Plants (PPs) economical, the maintenance functions should be optimized by carefully selecting and planning the Maintenance Management System (MMS) that will address the maintenance needs of the plant at the least cost. This research was carried out to obtain a clear understanding of the Traditional method and to assess their suitability to selection the management system of maintenance in power plants in Iraq. The objective of the study was to select the most suitable MMS for Maintenance of Electric Power Plants (MEPP) to make the plants operate economically. The traditional method called Weighting Property Index (WPI) used for selecting MMS for MEPP. This method, which is based on weighting property method (WPM) uses a digital logic (DL) due to, makes the result more accurate because it eliminates the problem of the criteria have least important. The research showed, when applied the method (WPI), the results was indicate that the preventive maintenance, is one of the types of planned maintenance, and is the best strategy for MMS in implementation the works (MEPP) in Iraq, where was arranging the alternatives generally according to results which was obtained from the method (WPI) as follows; preventive maintenance is (6.67), predictive maintenance is (6.07), proactive maintenance is (5.89), run to failure is (5.5), and unplanned failure is (5.33). For further research can be used operational KPIs with maintenance KPIs and use of another alternative is design out maintenance with other alternatives.

For an innovative product design, materials play a decisive role because consumers interact with products through materials. Product personality affected by materials is an increasingly high-priority element of design to be considered. Product personality, which designers actively seek to create, can be achieved by ascertaining the material perceptions of users. As the user-interaction aspects of materials are circumstance-related and differ from person to person, it is impractical to define them accurately using a model. Therefore, in this study, the material perceptions of users have been evaluated by analysing the relative frequencies by which survey participants attributed certain adjectives to certain materials. This was conducted using a digital-logic approach featuring bipolar-adjective pairs. Additionally, intended product personalities can be differentiated semantically by designers by using the same bipolar-adjective pairs as those used to ascertain material perceptions using an 11-point scale. The interface of user-designer reaction is determined not sharply but diffusely. The degree of matching between the material perceptions of users and product personalities created by a designer can be evaluated through the concept of standard error in the diffuse interface. The most suitable material can be selected by ascertaining the average value of the widths of the diffuse interfaces for all of the designer's intended product personalities. In order to realize experimental teaching system of “digital logic” course for computer major and resolve the problems with poor cohesion among hardware basic courses and professional courses, and weakness in engineering training, a digital logic simulation experiment platform based on secure encryption algorithm is proposed in this paper. Taking S-DES encryption algorithm secure system as an example, the principle of S-DES is introduced, and a graphical model of encryption algorithm is built by using Quartus II. In addition, the algorithm is programmed by using Visual C ++ . Simulation results are compared for the two methods. Experiments show that level of experiment course content and students consciousness of engineering practice are enhanced by introducing professional knowledge and implementing hardware basic experimental content with project idea. The use of memristors and resistive random access memory (ReRAM) technology to perform logic computations, has drawn considerable attention from researchers in recent years. However, the topological aspects of the underlying ReRAM architecture and its organization have received less attention, as the focus has mainly been on device-specific properties for functionally complete logic gates through conditional switching in ReRAM circuits. A careful investigation and optimization of the target geometry is thus highly desirable for the implementation of logic-in-memory architectures. In this paper, we propose a crossbar-based in-memory parallel processing system in which, through the heterogeneity of the resistive cross-point devices, we achieve local information processing in a state-of-the-art ReRAM crossbar architecture with vertical group-accessed transistors as cross-point selector devices. We primarily focus on the array organization, information storage, and processing flow, while proposing a novel geometry for the cross-point selection lines to mitigate current sneak-paths during an arbitrary number of possible parallel logic computations. We prove the proper functioning and potential capabilities of the proposed architecture through SPICE-level circuit simulations of half-adder and sum-of-products logic functions. We compare certain features of the proposed logic-in-memory approach with another work of the literature, and present an analysis of circuit resources, integration density, and logic computation parallelism.
