Community participation or involvement plays an essential role in developing tourism activities, from planning to implementation. Consequently, community participation plays a part in determining the success factor of tourism development conducted in Cibodas Village, an emerging community-based tourism village in Bandung, Indonesia. This study aims to identify several forms of community participation in developing agrotourism. The descriptive qualitative method is used for the research to collect data by observing, interviewing, and studying existing documentation. The study indicates that the strong relationship among local communities, farmers, and government primarily empowers community participation in Cibodas Village. Although the development of agrotourism in the village still faces challenges due to other farming preferences among the local communities, the farmers' participation in contributing to the development has significantly increased. Agrotourism activities offered by the community and farmers in Cibodas Village are in the form of educational tourism through visiting agricultural land to identify types of plants, learning how to pick and care for plants, and enjoying processed food and drinks from agricultural products.

The coastal area in Pangandaran Beach Destination has been developed for marine tourism activities. Surf fishing by Cikidang village fisherman is one of marine activities that attract tourists for recreation. Surf fishing is one of sustainable fishing techniques for marine tourism development which provide Cikidang fishermen opportunity to create it as tourist fishing activities in friendly environment. This community service study aims to investigate the challenge and benefit, also assist the Cikidang fisherman community in making surf fishing tourism package as community based tourism development to increase their additional income as well as to enhance their surf fishing tourism product development knowledge and skill. The method used in this community service study is a participatory survey approach and analyzed descriptively based on depth-interview and field observation. The result of this study show the surf fishing is a friendly environment activities. The surf fishing tourism package program operation phase should be divided into three stages consist of preparation, catching, and cooking services for one day tourist activities. The surf fishing operator is suggested managed by three type of fishermen group associated with the Cikidang fish auction place. The offering surf fishing tourism package price is calculated based on the fisherman local guide fee, surf fishing tools and equipment rate, and cooking services rate.

West Bandung Regency is working hard to develop tourism in the southern region as a "sleeping and marginalized" area to become an up-and-coming destination for both domestic and foreign tourists. In addition to adopting the concept of territoriality, tourism planning in West Bandung Regency also applies an approach based on groupings of resources owned. In order to accelerate tourism development in the South West Bandung Regency area, this study seeks to convey the results of a study on mapping the potential for tourist attractions. An analytical tool in the form of a Point Rating System (PRS) is used to assess various aspects of tourism in these areas. Based on the analysis results, three areas of 3 different development priorities are revitalization of tourism destinations, development of tourism destinations, and pioneering tourism destinations. In conclusion, policy and regulatory aspects are very important in constructing the integrated tourism development of the Southern West Bandung Regency. Some aspects that need to be considered in development in the South West Bandung Regency include accessibility, connectivity, and infrastructure provision.

Kota Yogyakarta merupakan acces point bagi wisatawan, baik dari nusantara maupun mancanegara untuk menuju DTW – DTW di provinsi Yogyakarta dan sekitarnya. Salah satu hal penting yang perlu diupayakan untuk mendukung pengembangan pasar wisatawan adalah ketersediaan informasi mengenai karakteristik wisatawan. Terkait dengan upaya untuk mengetahui karakteristik wisatawan, maka diperlukan suatu kajian pasar yang dapat memberikan berbagai informasi tentang karakteristik wisatawan beserta peramalan kunjungan. Pada penelitian terdahulu ditunjukan faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara adalah kurs universal (USD) dan jumlah Event. Pada sisi lain faktor – faktor yang mempengaruhi kunjungan wisatawan domestik adalah pendapatan per kapita dan inflasi tahunan (Syechalad, 2014). Dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, didapatkan kenaikan jumlah wisatawan mancanegara setiap tahuannya ada di angka 20.000-30.000 wisatawan. Berbeda secara signifikan dengan pasar wisatawan mancanegara, jumlah wisatawan nusantara memiliki tren kenaikan dengan jumlah 300.000-400.000 wisatawan tiap tahunnya.

Following up on the Development of The National Tourism Strategic Area of Lake Toba, which was directed in the study "Integrated Tourism Masterplan for Lake Toba" (ITMP Danau Toba) in 2018, one of which was the development of river-based natural tourism attractions allocated in the Asahan Watershed including Asahan Regency, Tanjung Balai Municipality, Toba Samosir Regency, and Simalungun Regency. Regarding the policy of river-based tourism attractions, this research is focused on developing river tourism activities that will have implications for the development of the natural attraction of the Asahan River. This study has produced a mixed method of sustainable tourism development strategies by prioritizing the benefits of the ecological, socio-economic and cultural environment. Development is directed towards packaging special interest tourism products following the characteristics of available resources.

Pengembangan wisata yang berada di jalur alternatif pada umumnya mengalami beberapa kendala dikarenakan permasalahan pola ruang terkait aksesibilitas serta tata ruang fisik alam, tata ruang aktivitas dan fasilitas wisata terkait pertimbangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Bumi Perkemahan Tangsi Jaya terletak di jalur alternatif Ciwidey-Cianjur memiliki potensi wisata perkemahan dengan keunikan daya tarik wisata alam hutan, pedesaan, persawahan dan sungai dengan dominasi pengunjung lokal dan domestik. Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pengembangan wisata bumi perkemahan melalui pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif pada aspek spasial, pola ruang serta tata ruang aktivitas dan fasilitas wisata berdasarkan konsep Eco Forest Tourism, River Tourism dan tata ruang fisik alam. Penelitian ini telah menghasilkan gambar pemetaan pola ruang, serta tata letak aktivitas dan fasilitas wisata bumi perkemahan Tangsi Jaya yang mempertimbangkan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Penerapan hasil penelitian ini diharapakan dapat menjadi arahan rencana pengembangan pembangunan Bumi Perkemahan Tangsi Jaya bagi para pengelola setempat dengan harapan sektor pariwisata dapat memberikan multiplier effect pariwisata berkelanjutan baik bagi peningkatan pendapatan daerah maupun pemerataan pendapatan masyarakat Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Ciwidey, Cianjur di masa yang akan datang

Pariwisata menjadi salah satu sektor bisnis unggulan yang terus mengalami perkembangan dalam kajian akademis. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap model pengembangan aktivitas wisata dalam mendukung peningkatan bisnis masyarakat di Kawasan Sungai Cilimbung Kabupaten Garut. Metode yang diterapkan yaitu deskriptif-kualitatif dengan unit analisis sumberdaya produk dan sumberdaya sosial di lokasi penelitian. Penelitian ini telah menemukenali konsep aktivitas wisata yang sesuai untuk dikembangkan di Kawasan Sungai Cilimbung berdasarkan konsep experiential tourism. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini telah menghasilkan pemetaan minat dan kepentingan stakeholder terkait, untuk dikaji lebih jauh dalam pengambilan keputusan pembangunan bagi pemerintah dan masyarakat. Tourism is one of the leading business sectors that continues to grow in academic studies. This study aims to reveal a model for developing tourism activities in supporting community business improvement in the Cilimbung River Basin, Garut Regency. The method used is descriptive-qualitative with unit analysis of product resources and social resources at the research site. This research has identified the concept of tourism activities that are suitable to be developed in the Cilimbung River Area based on the concept of experiential tourism. Furthermore, this research has resulted in mapping the interests and interests of relevant stakeholders, to be studied further in making development decisions for the government and the community.
