The Process-Chain Network (PCN) diagram is a tool that allows service operations to be conceptualized, visualized, and analyzed, so that processes can be corrected and improved. To visualize and analyze the process of delivery service in grocery stores through the Process-Chain Network (PCN) diagram. Qualitative and descriptive article developed from bibliographic research and PCN diagram modeling, visualization, and analysis. Three diagrams of customer processes and interactions were drawn up: in the physical space of a grocery store, via the provider's website and by phone or WhatsApp. The PCN diagram with interactions via phone or WhatsApp proved to be a more simplified process, with less effort on the part of the customer and with a likely lower cost. With a vast and complex domain, the relationship between different fields is a striking theme in the sciences, difficult to establish objectively, due to similarities and common characteristics. The objective of the research is to analyze the origins, characteristics and main concepts that make possible the interdisciplinarity between the fields of Information Science and Administration Science. The research has an exploratory nature with a qualitative approach and is characterized as a literature review that made use of a research protocol for a systematic search for artifacts. Strictly speaking, it was possible to identify the historical origins and common conceptions, as well as to outline the main characteristics that allowed the possibility of interdisciplinarity. It is evident that the interdisciplinary nature between the two fields occurs through a process of knowledge exchange and interaction that navigates through common basic problems of human informative behavior. Also, it can be inferred that the fields present clear approximations, and although the list of authors listed unanimously point to a strong interdisciplinary relationship based on "information", apparently, when it comes to practical application, there is no consensus that this interdisciplinarity is complete.
