Abstract

Avec la traduction de F. Schlegel, Philosophie transcendantale (introduction et troisième partie) et d'aphorismes de 1800-1801.; Le romantisme d'Iéna s'est voulu non seulement l'organe d'une « poétisation » du monde (Novalis), mais aussi d'une transformation de la philosophie à partir d'une réflexion sur le langage. La philosophie devient « recherche en commun de l'omniscience », symphilosophie, mise en relation universelle, recomposition des arts et des savoirs, polémique infinie, dialogue. En reconstituant dans sa cohérence le projet encyclopédique de Friedrich Schlegel (1772-1829), ce livre replace le romantisme dans le contexte philosophique de la naissance de l'idéalisme. Celui-ci n'aurait pas su, à ses yeux, penser le langage, et avec lui la dimension de l'échange et de l'histoire. La symphilosophie, en revanche, s'inspire d'une réflexion sur la philologie, de la philosophie du langage, de l'herméneutique et de l'essai d'une reformulation dialectique de la philosophie transcendantale. Au-delà des « fragments », c'est dans le cours de Philosophie transcendantale donné à Iéna en 1800-1801 que Friedrich Schlegel expose sa pensée de façon quasi systématique à partir des trois propositions suivantes : toute vérité est relative; tout savoir est symbolique; la philosophie est infinie. La réconciliation de la philosophie et de l'histoire prend alors la forme d'une philosophie de la philosophie, dont on souligne la portée autant que les limites. Une bibliographie étendue présente l'état de la recherche sur F. Schlegel et la philosophie depuis vingt ans.

Abstract

Aim. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is frequently associated with an imbalance in intestinal bacteria. To date, few studies have evaluated the efficacy and safety of probiotic administration in patients with constipation-variant IBS. A new agent recently available in clinical practice is a symbiotic consisting of a probiotic, Bifidobacterium longum W11, and the short chain oligosaccharide prebiotic Fos Actilight. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of this symbiotic in patients with constipation-variant IBS. Methods. A total of 636 patients (250 men, 386 women) diagnosed with constipation-type IBS according to the Roma II criteria were enrolled in 43 centers and received the symbiotic at a dose of 3 g/die for at least 36 days. A validated questionnaire investigating symptoms and stool frequency was administered before and after treatment. Results. Based on patient responses to visual scale items, frequency increased significantly after treatment in the "no symptom" class from 3% to 26.7% for bloating and from 8.4% to 44.1% for abdominal pain (P

Investigations in guinea pigs to evaluate interferences between cholestasis and enzymatic induction by phenobarbital, and influences that both experimental conditions exert on the levels of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in microsomes and other subcellular fractions, have shown that: 1) cholestasis inhibits inductions of cytochrome P-450 from phenobarbital; 2) gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase is not an inducible enzyme in guinea pig; 3) rises or ferum gamma-glutanyl transpeptidase produced either by cholestasis or phenobarbital administration, are not related to an increased enzymatic synthesis in the various subcellular fractions of liver cell.

Abstract

When people with sickle cell disease in vaso-occlusive crisis need hospitalization, they often experience fragmented and disparate treatment. Racial, gender, and socioeconomic treatment bias by providers, including nurses, is complicated by the current reactionary United States (US) controlled substance policies. To provide high-quality and respectful care, nurses can use Kolcaba's Comfort Theory as the framework for a holistic plan to assess, deliver individualized interventions, and evaluate outcomes for people experiencing vaso-occlusive crisis. Once in the electronic medical record, it can guide care during future hospitalizations.
