The present investigation was undertaken in randomized block design with two replications during rabi-2018 at Instructional-cum- Research Farm, RCSM College of Agriculture, Kolhapur. A set of 15 germplasm of French bean viz. Phule Suyash, Phule Surekha, Contender, Sevil, Arka Suvidha, Arka Komal, IC-039081, IC-28008, EC-28304, EC-500354, EC-500377, Selection 9, Falguni, Vaishnavi and EC-530909 was evaluated. The data indicated the significant differences with respect to growth and yield among the various germplasm of french bean. The earliest 50% flowering was seen in Contender (33.13 days) whereas the maximum number of days required for 50% flowering was in IC-0339081 (45.60 days) closely followed by Falguni (42.20). As far as the numbers of primary branches per plant, Arka Suvidha had 2.70 at 30 DAS and 3.80 at 45 DAS while the germplasm IC-28008 recorded the highest number of secondary branches per plant (6.80 and 8.60) at 45 and 60 DAS, respectively. The tallest plants were observed in Phule Surekha (22.90 cm) at 30 DAS while at 45 and 60 DAS, taller plants were noticed in IC-28008 (78.70 and 93.75cm, respectively). The number of pod cluster per plant was found to range from 28.60 (EC-28304) to 12.00 (Selection-9). The highest pod length and width were noticed in Selection-9 and Phule Surekha (14.29 cm and 1.51cm, respectively) whereas the least pod length was found in Phule Surekha and Vaishnavi (9.21cm and 0.69cm, respectively). The highest number of pods per plant (162.40), individual pod weight (3.85 g) and number of seeds per pod (7.60) were higher in EC-500354 which resulted in higher yield per hectare (34.73 t) followed by Arka Komal (24.22 t) and Phule Surekha (21.42 t). Paper reports the synthesis of cobalt doped BaSrTiO (BST0.05) by solid state reaction (SSR) method. The X-ray diffractograms analysis reveals the formation of single phase crystalline structure. Scanning electron microscopy image was also employed to observe surface morphology. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of BST0.05 are obviously influenced by cobalt addition content. The Curie temperature T shifts to lower value with increasing cobalt doping content. The studies on P-E and M-H hysteresis loops are carried out to confirm simultaneous presence of both the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic orders in a cobalt doped BST. It is observed that, the value of saturation magnetisation (M) is 0.01535 emu/g at field 4500 G, value of remanent magnetisation (M) is 0.0008263 emu/g and value of coeresivity is 640 G measured at room temperature for BSTCo0.05. The paper reports synthesis, crystal structure, dielectric properties, P-E hysteresis loops, M-H hysteresis loops and magnetodielectric properties of Fe doped BaSrTiO (0.05BST) single phase magnetodielectric compositions. The parent and doped 0.05BST compositions are synthesized via ceramic route of synthesis. The studies on crystal structure show that the parent composition (0.05BST) show a tetragonal crystal structure, while the substitution of Fe is observed to exhibit a cubic crystal structure with a tetragonal distortion. The investigations on dielectric properties show that the Fe doped 0.05BST show a diffused phase transition and T approaches room temperature as the level of doping is increased. The studies on P-E and M-H hysteresis loops are carried out to confirm simultaneous presence of both the ferroelectric and ferromagnetic orders in a Fe doped 0.05BST. Plants and crops that are infected by pests have an impact on the country's agricultural production. Usually, farmers or professionals keep a close eye on the plants in order to discover and identify diseases. However, this procedure is frequently time-consuming, costly, and imprecise. Plant disease detection can be done by looking for a spot on the diseased plant's leaves. The goal of this paper is to create a Disease Recognition Model that is supported by leaf image classification. To detect plant diseases, we are utilizing image processing with a Convolution neural network (CNN). A convolutional neural network (CNN) is a form of artificial neural network that is specifically intended to process pixel input and is used in image recognition.

Improving oral bioavailability of drugs, those given as solid dosage forms remains a challenge for the formulation scientists due to solubility problems. The problem can be solved by different technological approaches during the pharmaceutical product development like solid dispersion, micronisation, micelle formation, novel techniques like lyophilisation, floating granules are some of the vital approaches routinely employed to enhance the solubility of poorly soluble drugs. Many techniques have been exercised to improve oral bioavailability of drugs. Among them, solid dispersion has attracted an attention of the researchers. The present review is devoted to various traditional and novel techniques for enhancing drug solubility to reduce the percentage of poorly soluble drug candidates ignored from the development. Background: Oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor (gefitinib and erlotinib) have been used in the palliative treatment of head and neck cancers with limited success. In this report, we aim to quantify the symptomatic benefit, progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) when erlotinib is given as second-line treatment in Head and neck cancers.Methods: This was a post-hoc retrospective analysis of a randomized study comparing metronomic chemotherapy with cisplatin. A patient who progressed on chemotherapy and had a PS0-2 were offered second-line chemotherapy. Patients who had received erlotinib (150 mg PO OD) as second line treatment were selected for this analysis. Erlotinib was discontinued in case of either progression of disease or if the patient had intolerable side effects. Patient were monitored 1-week after the start of erlotinib and subsequently at monthly intervals. The toxicity was recorded in accordance with CTCAE version 4.02 (NCI,USA) and the response were graded in accordance with RECIST version 1.1. All of these patients were followed-up till death.Results: Twenty-three patients were identified. The median age of these patients at the start of the second line was 47 years (interquartile range 40.5-51.75 years). The primary site of distribution was oral cavity primary in 17 patients (77.3%) and nonoral cavity primary in 05 (22.7%) patients. The immediate last chemotherapy regimen received was cisplatin in 9 patients (40.9%) and metronomic chemotherapy in 13 patients (59.1%). Symptomatic benefits post second-line erlotinib was seen in 18 patients (81.8%). The most common adverse events (any grade) seen were anemia in 20 patients (90.9%), rash in 10 patients (45.5%) and diarrhea in 7 patients (31.8%).The best radiological response documented were a partial response in 04 patients (19.2%). The median estimated PFS and OS were 110 days (95% confidence interval [CI]: 61-175 days) and 156 days (95% CI: 126-185 days) respectively.Conclusion: Erlotinib single agent has promising activity in the second line and needs to be explored in future studies.
