Acute pancreatitis develops as a local inflammatory condition of the pancreas due to a wide range of factors including overdose of alcohol or drugs, gall stones, etc. At present, medications based on herbal formulations have gained importance due to their better safety profile. Current study assessed the pharmacological effects of Pancogrit, an herbal medicine, in caerulein and TNF-α-induced in vitro pancreatitis models. A comprehensive evaluation of phytometabolites present in Pancogrit was conducted and 85 phytometabolites were identified through UPLC-QTOF-MS and UPLC-UV. The bioactivity and mode of action of Pancogrit were assessed in caerulein-induced AR42J (rat pancreatic acinar) cells, TNF-α-induced PANC-1 (human pancreatic duct) cells, and NF-κB reporter cells. Pancogrit was found to decrease the elevated amylase and lipase activity in caerulein-induced AR42J cells. It ameliorated the increased ROS levels, IL-6, IL-8 release and NF-κB activity in TNF-α-induced PANC-1 and NF-κB reporter cells. Pancogrit also downregulated IL-6, IL-1β, ICAM-1, and STAT3 gene expression in PANC-1 cells. Moreover, Pancogrit inhibited the protein expression levels of phosphorylated STAT3, phosphorylated and total JAK2 in TNF-α-induced PANC-1 cells. We developed a molybdenum (Mo)‐doped cobalt (Co)‐heterostructure embedded on a phosphorous (P) and nitrogen (N) dual‐doped porous carbon which exhibits an intrinsic electronic transport channel of Co to Mo and P. The P,Mo,O−Co/PNC/NF (NF=Nickel foam) electrode offers 335 mV overpotential at 10 mA cm−2 in OER as compared with PMA‐ZIF67‐NC/NF and ZIF67‐NC/NF electrode with an overpotential of 357 and 373 mV respectively. Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) of overall water splitting (OWS) supports that the current density gradually increased at a cell potential of 1.6 V with a maximum of 40 mA with a corresponding cell potential of 1.79 V at a current density of 10 mA cm−2. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations for water adsorption on optimized [111] surface of Co, CoMo, and CoMoP2 with adsorbed H2O and corresponding lattice determine the electron density difference of [111] surface with adsorbed H2O for Eads (eV) 4.23 corresponds to adsorption energy for CoMoP2. XANE‐EXAFS spectroscopy of P,Mo,O−Co/PNC at Co K edge and Mo K edge suggests the presence of higher valence of both Cox+ and Mox+ without metallic Co and Mo and Co−P and Mo−P bonds as major structural units due to phosphidation as determined by R‐space FT‐EXAFS spectra. The field of injectable hydrogels has demonstrated a paramount headway in the myriad of biomedical applications and paved a path toward clinical advancements. The innate superiority of hydrogels emerging from organic constitution has exhibited dominance in overcoming the bottlenecks associated with inorganic-based hydrogels in the biological milieu. Inorganic hydrogels demonstrate various disadvantages, including limited biocompatibility, degradability, a cumbersome synthesis process, high cost, and ecotoxicity. The excellent biocompatibility, eco-friendliness, and manufacturing convenience of organo-hydrogels have demonstrated to be promising in therapizing biomedical complexities with low toxicity and augmented bioavailability. This report manifests the realization of biomimetic organo-hydrogels with the development of bioresponsive and self-healing injectable organo-hydrogels in the emerging pharmaceutical revolution. Furthermore, the influence of click chemistry in this regime as a backbone in the pharmaceutical conveyor belt has been suggested to scale up production. Moreover, we propose an avant-garde design stratagem of developing a hyaluronic acid (HA)-based injectable organo-hydrogel via click chemistry to be realized for its pharmaceutical edge. Ultimately, injectable organo-hydrogels that materialize from academia or industry are required to follow the standard set of rules established by global governing bodies, which has been delineated to comprehend their marketability. Rationale: A prevailing paradigm recognizes idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) originating from various alveolar epithelial cell (AEC) injuries, and there is a growing appreciation of AEC aging as a key driver of the pathogenesis. Despite this progress, it is incompletely understood what main factor(s) contribute to the worsened alveolar epithelial aging in lung fibrosis. It remains a challenge how to dampen AEC aging and thereby mitigate the disease progression. Objectives: To determine the role of AEC CD38 (cluster of differentiation 38) in promoting cellular aging and lung fibrosis. Methods: We used single-cell RNA sequencing, real-time PCR, flow cytometry, and Western blotting. Measurements and Main Results: We discovered a pivotal role of CD38, a cardinal nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) hydrolase, in AEC aging and its promotion of lung fibrosis. We found increased CD38 expression in IPF lungs that inversely correlated with the lung functions of patients. CD38 was primarily located in the AECs of human lung parenchyma and was markedly induced in IPF AECs. Similarly, CD38 expression was elevated in the AECs of fibrotic lungs of young mice and further augmented in those of old mice, which was in accordance with a worsened AEC aging phenotype and an aggravated lung fibrosis in the old animals. Mechanistically, we found that CD38 elevation downregulated intracellular NAD, which likely led to the aging promoting impairment of the NAD-dependent cellular and molecular activities. Furthermore, we demonstrated that genetic and pharmacological inactivation of CD38 improved these NAD dependent events and ameliorated bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis. The study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of integrated management of stem canker and black scurf disease affecting the potato plant. The integrated management options were: T1 = Poultry manure (PM) + seed trématent (ST) with Azoxystrobin (0.05%), T2 = PM + STAzoxystrobin (0.10%), T3= PM+ST-Boric acid (3.0%), T4 = PM + ST-Carboxin (0.20%), T5 = PM + ST- Carbendazim (0.10%), T6 = PM + soil drenching (SD) - Azoxystrobin (0.05%), T7 = PM + SD-Azoxystrobin (0.10%), T8 = PM + SD-Carboxin (0.20%), T9 = PM + SD-Carbendazim (0.10%) and T10 = Untreated control. The integrated management significantly influenced the disease incidence, yield attributes and yield of potato. The lowest disease incidence (11.2%) and percentage of disease index (4.58) were found in T7 (poultry manure at 5 t ha-1 before 25 days of planting, DAP + soil drenching with Azoxystrobin at 0.10% during sowing and 45 DAP) followed by T6 (PM 5 t ha-1 + soil drenching with Azoxystrobin at 0.05%). The minimum weight of russet (480 g plot-1), deformed (450 g plot-1) and Sclerotia infected (150 g plot-1) tubers were also recorded in T7. The highest healthy tuber (1900.05 g plot-1) and tuber yield (22.4 t ha-1) were found in the same treatment. Therefore, poultry manure 5 t ha-1 before 25 DAP + soils drenching with Azoxystrobin at 0.10% during sowing and 45 DAP can be recommended to produce healthy tubers and maximum tuber yield of potato.
