The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state of financing the development of tourism in the Czech Canada destination, which is located in South Bohemia. The aim of the research is to find new possibilities for financing tourism in the tourist area. Detailed terms are defined here - tourism, destination and destination management, followed by a description of the management tourism and organization in Czech republic and a description of the selected tourist area. The main theme of my diploma thesis is to evaluate the possibilities of the tourism financing. My work deals with financial sources which flow to the development of tourism in Czech Canada. Based on the analysis there are other possible ways of the tourism cooperation and funding suggested.

11. Overtouristed! Overtourism in large-size specially protected areas of the Czech republic

The Master thesis' central theme is the phenomenon of Overtourism. It compares its status in three large-size specially protected areas: The Krkonoše Mountains National Park, Bohemian Paradise Protected Landscape Area and Třeboň Basin Protected Landscape Area. Based on interviews with representatives of the protected areas administrations and with tourists, the thesis aims to describe and analyze central conflicts of a nature- based active lifestyle and nature protection, as well as to identify the impacts of increasing tourism on the fragile ecosystems of the protected areas. Increased attention is given to the differences between pre-pandemic and pandemic situation. The empirical research combines several methods: semi-structured interviews with both sides of the conflict, participant observation in the field and the analysis of materials such as relevant legislation and regulations of tourism. This thesis hopes to contribute to the state of knowledge by its thorough description of the issue in the three analyzed areas; and by creating a typology of tourists coming to the protected areas which could be applied in future tourism management. Based on its conclusions, the thesis also drafts measures for future tourism management of given areas designed to mitigate the conflict situation.

Odborná studie je výstupem výzkumného projektu, který byl zaměřen na dopady pandemie covid-19 na destinační management. Ve studii jsou prezentovány poznatky o tom, jak se destinační společnosti (DMO) vypořádaly s pandemií covid-19 a jak se v letech 2020-2021 proměnil proces destinačního managementu v ČR. Současně jsou prezentovány trendy, které vyvstaly jako reakce DMO na krizovou situaci. Pro pochopení kontextu a objasnění zjištěných poznatků jsou v úvodu studie vymezena teoretická východiska destinačního managementu. The expert study is the output of a research project that focused on the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on destination management. The study presents findings on how destination management organizations (DMOs) dealt with the covid-19 pandemic and how the destination management process in the Czech Republic changed in 2020-2021. At the same time, the study introduces the trends that arose as a reaction of the DMO to the crisis. In the introduction of the study, the theoretical background of destination management is provided to understand the context and to clarify the findings.

14. Possibilities of using online communication in destination management
- Abstract
Communication is an inseparable part of activities of any business subject. Evidently, that applies to destination management as well. Advanced destination management can’t do without quality communication. It is necessary to pay due attention to communication so that it can be effective. That means to monitor also new trends and possibilities that modern life offers in the sphere of communication. More and more the emphasis is put on online communication, which has become a phenomenon of our time and in many cases replaces traditional ways of communication gradually. The paper deals with contemporary communication trends and focuses on the tourism sector, specifically on the problems of its management. It examines particular means of online communication and possibilities of their use in destination management. It also explains the situation in the Czech Republic by way of an analysis concerning online communication of particular destination management organizations working in the Czech Republic and by evaluation of its status quo. On the basis of observed results it then put suggestions how it would be possible to make this communication more effective., Komunikace je nedílnou součástí aktivit každého podnikatelského subjektu. To platí samozřejmě i pro oblast destinačního managementu. Vyspělý destinační management se bez kvalitní komunikace neobejde. Aby byla komunikace efektivní, je třeba jí věnovat patřičnou pozornost. To znamená, sledovat i nové trendy a možnosti, které moderní doba v oblasti komunikace nabízí. Důraz je stále více kladen na on-line komunikaci, která se stala fenoménem dneška a v mnoha případech postupně nahrazuje tradiční způsoby komunikace. Příspěvek se zabývá současnými komunikačními trendy a zaměřuje se na oblast cestovního ruchu, konkrétně na problematiku jeho řízení. Zkoumá jednotlivé nástroje on-line komunikace a možnosti jejich využití v destinačním managementu. Zároveň se snaží přiblížit situaci v České republice prostřednictvím analýzy on-line komunikace jednotlivých organizací destinačního managementu, které v České republice působí, a zhodnocením jejího současného stavu. Na základě zjištěných výsledků pak předkládá doporučení, jakým způsobem by bylo možné tuto komunikaci zefektivnit.

- Abstract
Complex tourism regulation in the form of a special act is a problem discussed in the Czech Republic for many years. The reason is current tourism regulation which from the view of implementing tourism policy poses a risk to the state that no systemic framework is formed which has high potential of causing wastefulness, ineffectiveness and uselessness of public expenditure. Key problem are vaguely adjusted competences on the level of state administration and autonomous regions that limit implementation of principles of destination management and tourism policy as the part of economic policy of the Czech Republic. Such situation prevents better use of tourism potential regardless of increasing importance of tourism for economy, in relation to developed foreign destinations, it also leads to loss in its competitiveness. Only dealing with the basic problems can result in change of current situation. Adjustment of current tourism legislation is not sufficient solution. It means to set up a whole new tourism regulation that creates systemic framework for implementing tourism policy. For those reasons the complex tourism regulation is broadly discussed as the systemic solution. Defence of the new regulation as the norm of administrative law with the linkages to the private law that is being seriously prepared since 2010, is in current situation of public sector very difficult. Insufficient support of argumentation, overall low political support and divided attitude of stakeholders of the companies within the area of tourism (both public and private) led to temporary non-approval with the draft law and which has led to suspention of its processing. 16. Travel motivation as a tool for destination management

Příspěvek se zabývá motivací k návštěvě Plzeňského a Karlovarského kraje a následné realizace cesty na konkrétní atraktivity či realizace určité aktivity domácími návštěvníky. I když Plzeňský a Karlovarský kraj nejsou přesnými příklady overturismu, v podmínkách ČR se i na území těchto krajů nacházejí více navštěvovaná místa oproti republikovému průměru. V příspěvku jsou porovnány motivy k cestě z výzkumu profilu návštěvníků, který byl prováděn v letní sezoně 2019 na území obou krajů na vzorcích 821 za Plzeňský a 593 respondentů za Karlovarský kraj s realizovanými cestami či záměrem návštěvy atraktivit či aktivit. Cílem příspěvku je možnost využití motivů k cestě k tomu, aby byly řízeny turistické proudy v destinacích. Motivů lze využití pro zmírnění nadměrného zatížení vybraných destinací nebo turistických center. Dalším cílem příspěvku je i identifikace méně zatížených atraktivit či míst, která odpovídají motivaci k návštěvě ve vybraných krajích. Paper deals with motivation to travel to Karlovy Vary Region and Pilsen Region and the realization of travel to specific attractiveness or realization of specific activities in domestic tourism. Even if both of the Regions are not exactly examples of overturism, there are some places with higher visit rates in comparison with other destinations in the Czech Republic. In this paper there are compared results from research of tourist profile of both regions, that was conducted in summer season 2019. In Pilsen Region were collected 821 and 593 questionnaires in Karlovy Vary Region. The goal of this paper is to identify the possibility of usage of travel motives to the management of tourists flows. It could be helpful for the reduction of overtourism in some places. An additional goal is to identify places or attractiveness that have enough capacity to welcome new tourists.

19. Transport services: destination management perspective
- Abstract
Transport belongs to essential services provided in tourism. Visitors need a whole range of services, but first of all transport services that enable them to reach the respective destination and to get back as well as to move about the destination. Transport represents one of the important factors that can influence visitors' decision-making concerning the choice of the destination. However, transport doesn't serve only for transfer of visitors. Transport itself can be an important tourist attraction. Transport issues solving is thus an important task for destination management. The paper deals with the problems of transport just from the destination management perspective. It examines theoretical background of the relation between transport and tourism and aims to map the role of transport in present destination management. The attention is paid to the situation in the Czech Republic, in its particular regions, by means of a surrey via questionnaire among existing destination management organizations. The results can be used for the improvement of destination management in the Czech Republic., Doprava patří k základním službám poskytovaným v cestovním ruchu. Účastníci cestovního ruchu potřebují celou řadu služeb, ale v první řadě služby dopravní, které jim umožní dostat se do příslušné destinace a zpět a zároveň se i po destinaci pohybovat. Doprava představuje jeden z důležitých faktorů, které mohou ovlivnit rozhodování účastníků cestovního ruchu při výběru destinace. Doprava ale neslouží jen k přesunům účastníků cestovního ruchu, sama o sobě může být důležitou turistickou atraktivitou. Řešení otázek spojených s dopravou je tedy důležitým úkolem pro destinační management. Příspěvek se zabývá problematikou dopravy právě z pohledu destinačního managementu. Zkoumá teoretická východiska vztahu dopravy a cestovního ruchu a snaží se o zmapování postavení dopravy v současném destinačním managementu. Pozornost je věnována situaci v České republice, v jejích jednotlivých regionech, prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření mezi současnými organizacemi destinačního managementu. Výsledky mohou být využity ke zlepšení destinačního managementu v České republice.

20. Destination management organizations and their impact on tourism development in the Czech Republic
- Abstract
Tourism is an important and constantly developing part of the world economy. It has also a significant multiplier effect as it influences an array of other branches. It is based on cooperation of frequently heterogeneous subjects, which complicates its management, however. The paper deals with modern approaches of destination management with the aim to examine the state and possibilities of their more extensive application in the Czech Republic. The paper brings a deeper analysis of destination management functioning in the Czech Republic, especially functioning of particular destination management organizations. A survey via questionnaire among existing destination management organizations in the Czech Republic is used as the method for getting relevant data. The results are completed by additional data acquired via analysis of information reported in public registers and on websites of examined organizations. The paper includes recommendations that will serve as a basis for further development of destination management in the Czech Republic, mainly for creation of working tourism management system., Cestovní ruch je důležitou a neustále se rozvíjející součástí světové ekonomiky. Má také významný multiplikační efekt, protože ovlivňuje celou řadu jiných odvětví. Je založený na spolupráci často různorodých subjektů, což však komplikuje jeho řízení. Příspěvek se zabývá moderními přístupy řízení destinací s cílem zjistit stav a možnosti jejich širšího využití v České republice. Přináší hlubší analýzu fungování destinačního managementu v České republice, především fungování jednotlivých organizací destinačního managementu. Jako metoda k získání příslušných dat je použito dotazníkové šetření mezi stávajícími organizacemi destinačního managementu v České republice. Výsledky jsou doplněny dalšími daty získanými analýzou informací vykazovaných ve veřejných rejstřících a na webových stránkách zkoumaných organizací. Příspěvek zahrnuje doporučení, která poslouží jako základ pro další rozvoj destinačního managementu v České republice, hlavně pro vytvoření funkčního systému řízení destinací.

The thesis deals with possibilities of development of the destination Lopušná do-lina and defines its current state. Theoretical part establishes basic terminology of tourism, destination, partnerships in destination, marketing and management of destination, and organisation of tourism in Slovakia. In analytical part, the destination is characterised with its supply and organisation. Destination’s visitors are characterised based on the data form the questionnaire. In the proposition part are described possibilities of the development regarding drawbacks found in analysis. The greatest flaw found is insufficient promotion of the destination. The aim of the thesis is the formulation of the development strategy, which is marketing and promotion of the area. Marketing communication mix is created and eco-nomically evaluated.

This diploma thesis deals with the introduction of direct air routes and their influ-ence on the development of tourism in the destination. The theoretical background is thematically elaborated within the framework of literature review, the methodology is then based on available foreign studies, together with methods for primary data collection. The practical part begins with the analysis of the higher territorial administrative unit and then applies the methodology within the case study for the South Moravian Region. Graphical and statistical evaluations of the obtained data are completed with comments. Based on the results, recommendations for stakeholders are formulated.

Brno: FRRMS MENDELU, 2019 The thesis concerns the Q-method and its use in the field of destination managment as a tool for the segmentation of tourism market. The aim of this work is to identity the groups of respondents in relation to their preferred destination. To evaluate the results of the Q-method, the online statistical method Azabala was used. This method is available online. An additional component of this work is a questionaire. In the thesis, a correlation of the Q-methodological survey with the questionnaire was performed.

The aim of my thesis is to set suitable steps for The Sky Walk at Dolní Morava which will lead to a strengthening of the market position, increase the number of visitors at the location and also increase the occupancy of accommodation facilities. The literature review describes the basic concepts of tourism, destination, destination management, marketing related to tourism, marketing research and analysis of external environment. The bachelor thesis deals with the strategy of tourism in Brno by comparing it to the strategy of tourism in Berlin. The first part of the thesis is literary research and it is focused on the concept of tourism, destination management, strategy of tourism and methods that are used in this thesis. The second part of the thesis is analysing Brno and Berlin as comparised destinations and there is basic informa-tion about their recent strategies of tourism. After this part destinations are being analysed by comparative analysis, benchmarking methods, SWOT analysis and their recent strategies are being evaluated. These steps are evolving in later discussion, which is terminated in final ideas and propsals for the strategy of tou-rism in Brno. These proposals are inspired by Berlin strategy and they are based on own observation, observation by residents, strategic coworkers and analysis conducted in this thesis.

This diploma thesis focuses on the application of system thinking and its methods to the issues of decision making within destination management and its organizations. The main aim of the thesis was to create a model to support decision making of destination management organization and to plan sustainable and responsible tourism development in the destination. A partial aim was to create a simplified model in which a simulation of the given system was performed. This aim has been applied to the destination of Cesky Krumlov. The contribution of the work is to find optimal decisions, policies and individual processes in order to assess the subsequent impacts and manage the development of tourism destination towards sustainability.

The aim of the thesis Collaboration of Stakeholders in a Tourism Destination is to evaluate the level and intensity of cooperation in tourism in the South Bohemian Region from the perspective of key stakeholders in the destination, including the management and development relationship of tourism in the destination. In the first part of the research, the information concerning the destination management and marketing, the stakeholders and their cooperation was obtained with the help of secondary data. For the collection of secondary data, printed literature and websites were mainly used in connection with the selected tourism destination - the South Bohemian Region. Based on the findings from the literature and other secondary sources, the collection of primary data was planned in the form of a questionnaire survey. It has become clear that the destination marketing organizations, which best meet the attributes of power, legitimacy and urgency, are the key stakeholder. According to the research, it was found out that the cooperation between the public and private sectors is significantly inadequate. There are several major obstacles that prevent effective cooperation among the particular stakeholders. To improve the cooperation, it is necessary to streamline the communication between the organizations and other stakeholders and to plan a project within the tourism industry, which will help with the cooperation among as many stakeholders as possible.

Both want to be competitive and successful on the market. Therefore, it is necessary to seek ways of achieving this. Management v dnešní době ovlivňuje téměř všechny oblasti našeho života. Ve všech podnicích, firmách a společnostech se dnes bez plánování, organizování, rozhodování, motivování, komunikování, marketingu, kontroly a dalších souvisejících činností, neobejde žádné vedení. Všechny tyto procesy se objevují všude tam, kde má docházet k efektivnímu řízení. Ani v cestovním ruchu tomu není jinak. Management je proto i nezbytnou součástí organizování cestovního ruchu. Předložený příspěvek nejprve vymezuje obecně pojem managementu, věnuje se historii managementu. Dále vymezuje pojem cestovního ruchu a důležitost existence cestovního ruchu pro ekonomiku státu. Popisuje pojem destinace a předkládá SWOT analýzu cestovního ruchu České republiky pro možnosti jeho dalšího rozvoje. Vlachová, Š. Loyalty to the destination. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2018. The thesis deals with loyalty to the Moravian Karst region and its surroundings. In the first part of the work a literary research was made using Czech and foreign secondary sources. In the second part of the thesis a questionnaire survey was conducted, to which 408 respondents answered. Based on the results of this survey, visitors' satisfaction with the destination and their loyalty to it was examined. With the help of regression analysis and IPA analysis, the factors that most affect the satisfaction and loyalty of visitors were identified and recommendations for destination management were formulated based on this information.

This diploma thesis deals with the function of regional destination management organizations in Czechia. Destination management organizations are founded to implement destination management at various spatial levels (national, regional, local). In Czechia, the issue of destination management is a relatively new area of research. The aim of this work is to clarify the role of destination companies as one of the regional development actors with an emphasis on the development of tourism. The theoretical base is network theory and the concept of destination governance along with other base of the cooperation of actors in tourism development. For purpose to get a general insight into the situation of destination management in Czechia, the analysis of the regional destination companies is a part of the work. In addition, thesis includes the case study of the tourist area of Orlicke hory and Podorlicko, in which the destination company of the same name operates. This diploma thesis is focused on the current state of management and organization of tourism in the South Bohemian region and on finding the current offer of tourism products in the context of the development of destination management and marketing. The theoretical part defines the applied theory, related to the solved topic. Primary data was obtained from managed interviews with product managers of South Bohemian tourist areas and from an interview with the director of the South Bohemian Tourism Authority. Secondary data was drawn from websites of individual tourist areas, from www.jiznicechy.cz and from many prospectuses. In the practical part, the tourism management organization applied in the Czech Republic was compared with the organization in selected foreign destinations. As well as an analysis of individual tourist areas was carried out. On the basis of the conducted analyzes and primary research, measures and recommendations were proposed to support the development of destination management and increase the competitiveness of the South Bohemian Region.

At the same time, a number of inaccuracies and errors are generated in connection with the management of the tourist destination. The work uncovers the basic structure of relationships in the destination of tourism and attempts to outline the functioning of the tourism destination management as a whole. The benefit of the thesis is to update the model created by Ing. Petrem Štumpfem Ph.D. in his dissertation work. Příspěvek vznikl za podpory Motivačního systému Západočeské univerzity v Plzni – část POSTDOC 2018, za kterou autor děkuje. Global competitiveness – currently very important thing in tourism competitiveness field. Small and medium-sized businesses can cooperate to succeed in the market. There are many cooperation strategies, such as strategic alliances, clusters, joint ventures etc. Cooperation in tourism is necessary very often. There is a tendency for cooperation between private and public sector, often well known as a public-private partnership. This article focuses on the tourism cooperation in Pilsen region. Survey was chosen as the research method to obtain information on the current state of cooperation. The results show us good relations between public and private sector and between public entities mutually. Some insufficiency in the cooperation between professional organizations and the Chamber of Commerce had been identified by this survey. Relations are not entirely good and tight within the private sector, there is a space for improvement. This article describes only one example of cooperation in this region/destination. Follow-up research and larger units comparison will follow this article in the future.

43. Destination management: theoretical background and present practice
- Abstract
Destination management is an advanced form of tourism management successfully applied abroad where it develops constantly. Destination management came into focus there as early as the sixties of the 20th century, while in the Czech Republic quite a bit later, approximately in the second half of the nineties. This is apparent also in professional literature. An array of authors, both foreign and domestic, engage in destination management at present. However, the domestic authors proceed primarily from foreign experience as destination management hasn't a long tradition in the Czech Republic. Destination management is based on cooperation of involved subjects, which is regarded as an important prerequisite for further development of tourism. Nevertheless, cooperation of various subjects from the public and the private sector isn't an easy matter and so attention is aimed to various approaches to effective destination management. The paper deals with theoretical background of destination management. Besides, an item of interest is also its application in practice. The paper examines principally the situation in the Czech Republic with the aim to find out the level of tourism management in its particular destinations., Destinační management je vyspělá forma řízení cestovního ruchu, která je úspěšně využívána v zahraničí, kde se neustále dále vyvíjí. Destinační management se tam dostává do popředí již v 60. letech 20. století, zatímco v České republice o dost později, přibližně ve druhé polovině 90. let. To je zřejmé i z odborné literatury. V současné době se destinačnímu managementu věnuje celá řada autorů, a to jak zahraničních, tak tuzemských. Domácí autoři však, vzhledem k tomu, že destinační management nemá v České republice dlouhou tradici, vycházejí především ze zahraničních zkušeností. Destinační management je založený na spolupráci zainteresovaných subjektů, která je považována za důležitý předpoklad dalšího rozvoje cestovního ruchu. Spolupráce různorodých subjektů z veřejného a soukromého sektoru však není jednoduchou záležitostí, a tak se pozornost zaměřuje na různé přístupy efektivního řízení destinace. Příspěvek se zabývá teoretickými východisky destinačního managementu. Kromě toho je předmětem zájmu i jejich využití v praxi. Příspěvek zkoumá zejména situaci v České republice s cílem zjistit úroveň řízení cestovního ruchu v jejích jednotlivých destinacích.

The main goal of this dissertation thesis has been defined as the development and presentation of a model designed to show transparency of different effects of tourism in urban destinations and its practical application by destination management organizations. The resident sub-model was compiled, based on research in the selected destination as well as its statistical evaluation. This sub-model clearly demonstrates relationships that affect tourism. This decision model was focused on the socio-economic effects, primarily generated by residents, which influence tourists and basically tourism in urban destinations. The resident sub-model was subsequently incorporated into another decision model of the sustainable destination to show the resident influence on objective economic factors generated by tourism in urban destinations. These two models clearly illustrate how complicated system is the behaviour of residents and which significant negative / positive effects on tourism can generate. For the development of this solution system thinking was used as the main methodological approach. System thinking has been actually rarely used, but it is very effective method, because it can reveal complexity of diverse relationships and find possibilities how to influence and control these relationships; in this case by destination management organizations. This solution is intended primarily for these tourism institutions. This method was intentionally simplified to be applicable by the local organizations. However, it retains high level of efficiency, which can bring required objectivity in very subjective relationships between residents, tourist and basically tourism at urban destinations.

This thesis is focused on relation between geocaching and sustainable development. It deals with this relation on basis of approach of geocachers to cache-making and on basis of state of caches in different areas. Approach of geocachers to cache-making tests by semi-structured interviews analyzed by Grounded theory and by internet data analysis. State of caches in different areas tests map data analysis. Outcome shows rather positive relation of geocaching and sustainable development. Strong points of the game are in positive influence on sustaining and shift of memory of places, increasing place atractivity and partly environmetal education. Study can be beneficial for instance for protected natural areas administration, public administration or administration of destination management of areas. Scientific benefit of this thesis lies in surveying this theme and creating basis for next research. The analysis of the actual situation of the tourism in Brno is described by 6A and SWOT analyse method. The visitor's profiles will be defined from the researched data. According to the researched visitors profiles will be recommended a suggestion for the local agency in Brno in order to develop in the South Moravian region. This diploma thesis deals with two current phenomena, migration and terrorism. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate tourism in the territory of the European Union in the last two years when faces the migration crisis in comparison with the previous years. The tourism development of selected member states is analyzed by incoming, outbound and domestic tourism statistics, as well as its participation in GDP and total employment in the countries. The theoretical part defines the key concepts of migration, terrorism and international tourism. The practical part identifies the impacts of the current migration crisis and the new trends that are now emerging. The thesis also contains recommendations to destinations on how to approach the crisis and prediction of future development.
