Abstract

The vanadium phosphorus (VO)2P2O7 oxide catalyst used in the selective oxidation of n-butane to maleic anhydride, is prepared from the precursor VOHPO4.0.5H2O, whose crystalline structure becomes fully disordered during maleic anhydride selectivity. Selection reaction products help create active sites. Oxide catalysts are used in various industrial processes.
