Analyses of disciplines encompassing futures studies reveal a prevailing tendency to perceive time as a linear sequence of projections. However, this perspective is not applicable to the current context of social transformation in the age of globalization and digitization, such as sustainable development. Preliminary investigations into time-based design and futures studies have shown the potential of time-based paradigms for predicting reliable future scenarios and redesigning current forms of spaces, relationships, and services in response to these desired futures. In this paper, we describe a project of an Ephemeral and Temporary Space Design Laboratory, which has been a pedagogical experiment for 3 years to date in the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano. The objective of this project is to systematically design an area of the city by reflecting on the relationship between design systems and social change, using participatory design methods such as field research and interviews with local residents to systematically redesign the urban space of the Lodi/Corvetto area in the city of Milan. This research aims to investigate the systematic influence of time factors on the spatial design of urban communities through futuristic and time/space-based design perspectives. The findings demonstrate that the utilization of time-based paradigms and tools can effectively enhance the time-based design approach, resulting in its increased integration within the design process. This integration plays a pivotal role in the construction of systems that have the capability to interact with and catalyze social transformation within the broader public and shared community. Airports are the latest means of transport to reflect the progress of human civilization and reflect the distinctive identity of each country. In addition to expressing the identity of the time of its creators and its specificity as representing the country's international entrance and its distinctive cultural confrontation over time Interior design is an important part of the design of the airport building. It contributes to its integration and success. It is an integral part that coincides with the entire design process. It is not a separate part or an addition to the architectural work. The tasks assigned to the interior design are revealed at the level of the design transformation mechanisms, which perform a useful functional qualifications. "What design transformation mechanisms reflect the formatting of expressive data?". The objective of the research included the detection of shifts of systems in the design of general internal spaces and the diagnosis of their intellectual mediums and expressive associations in the light of contemporary trends. For the purpose of the research, the researcher conducted a study consisting of four chapters that dealt with the problem, relevance and purpose of the research, as well as its limits and the definition of terminology contained therein. Design transformations and the second: structural dimensions and their expressive implications for interior design. The researcher then came up with a set of indicators that included the objective data and the starting points in a clear and accurate manner. Chapter III covered: Research methodology and procedures if the descriptive approach is adopted in the description and analysis of research models The chapter also included the research community, its intentional sample and its tools, most notably the Analysis Axes Form, The researcher designed an analysis form that included a set of axes to cover the analysis mechanisms of the models. Chapter IV finally included the findings of the research through the analysis process and discussed them. and then a set of conclusions and recommendations, one of the most important findings of the research is:- 1- The shift in the design Systems of the airport is linked to the realization of the (virtual and deep) idea It has several objectives, including those related to the desire for renewal, reorganization or development commensurate with the guaranteed meaning and is not built out of thin air, but extends a range of strategies, intellectual skills and successive ideological trends, Transformation is not a case, it is an act and its expression is reflected in the self-desire and will of the investigator herself through thought, machinery, style, form and direction towards achieving their goals. 2- The transformation of synthesis requires a new language that combines homogeneity and heterogeneity to achieve a balance with a view to removing contexts affected by previous regimes to establish new systems that revisit the organization of elements and relationships that manifest their implications when achieving a balanced and forward-looking design format that dismantles everything that is familiar with rebuilding design elements as achieving performance and expressive ends. 3- Transformation in the intellectual value of design patterns is achieved within multiple possibilities to be present in a variety of configurations, each of which is an effective feature that achieves an interconnected transformation depending on the factors surrounding it that establish the design decision of the patterns:- a. "Combining new ideas and expressive insights with previous traditional forms with modern and innovative materials is a hallmark of achieving a positive transformation that aims to cause surprise in the recipient. This is what is generated by a sense of joy and visual pleasure and gets as much acceptance as possible. b. The effectiveness achieved is represented by the article's expression of the pattern through the partial, total or expressive shift in the formulation of the recipient's sense of self and society in general and deepens the sense of influence of the place. The analysis of pattern design on ceramics, textiles, tile and other plane surfaces remains dominated by typological, design element and stylistic approaches. In this paper, I compare these approaches with a classification system that describes patterns by the geometric symmetries that combine and repeat the pattern parts. I argue that these standard plane pattern symmetry classes enable systematic, objective descriptions of decorated material. I use an analysis of the symmetric structures and colors of designs on whole and partial Chihuahuan polychrome vessels from the Pueblo IV period site of Paquimé (Casas Grandes), Chihuahua, Mexico, to illustrate how a standardized classification system that focuses on the structure of pattern parts rather than on the pattern parts themselves reveals a number of new insights on a body of well-studied material. - Abstract

Aim. Design thinking (DT) is an essential context for knowledge management (KM), as it promotes the link between KM initiatives and an organisation's strategic goals and objectives. This article analyses the DT process in terms of its capability to create KM. The detailed analysis focuses on the aspect of the DT's working mechanism, namely how KM is represented and created in the process. This article examines the DT procedure in terms of its ability to generate design knowledge. In this regard, the main purpose of this paper is to review the approaches to KM applied to DT and to suggest directions in which such a supervisory system could evolve. Methods. This study is thematic in its nature, and it was prepared on the basis of secondary data, an inclusive review of the literature, and, similarly, the computation of secondary information. To formulate this paper, the researchers referred to research books, earlier published articles, conference papers, and numerous research reports. Results and conclusions. This article concludes by proposing an intuitive model for DT and KM for its successful application in higher learning institutions in the areas of course design institutional strategy formation and faculty resource sharing. Originality. There are very few papers published in the aspects of KM in DT perspective. This study is one of the leading papers aiming to discover realistic support for the DT approach in KM. - Abstract
Although accessibility benefits all users of the web, irrespective of their abilities and disabilities, many web applications fail to fulfill basic accessibility requirements. Designers and developers need to improve their work with accessibility in order for digital inclusion to be possible. This thesis investigated how a design system can support them in producing accessible applications. It used a design approach to formulate an accessibility methodology for creating and maintaining a design system. Interviews and ideation workshops were held to understand the problem and generate solutions. A methodology was put together and evaluated through expert reviews, focus grouping, and user testing. The thesis resulted in 10 guidelines for how to promote accessibility through a design system. Central to the guidelines was that companies adapt the work with accessibility to their specific situation, by setting their own goals and creating tools for the different stages of the employees' work processes. The thesis concluded a design system can help designers and developers not feel overwhelmed by accessibility requirements, and focus on what is relevant to the task they are currently performing. A design system that is merely a storage for components can only assist designers and developers with a fraction of the accessibility requirements. Greater potential is held by a design system that is made into a platform for accessibility, by providing guidance on how to use components and being referenced in testing procedures., Trots att tillgänglighet gynnar alla användare, oavsett förmåga eller funktionsnedsättning, uppfyller många webbapplikationer inte grundläggande tillgänglighetskrav.

With the establishment of the economic New Area, preliminary results have been achieved in the construction of the business environment, and some experience has been accumulated, but there are still many problems. The most important of these is the issue of business safety. The security system in commercial areas generally adopts manual shifts. This management method is increasingly unsuitable for urban development. Therefore, the unattended electronic fence system emerges from time to time, but its security has become an urgent problem to be solved. This article designs the electronic fence system project based on intelligent video surveillance and wireless local area network technology. This article designs the electronic fence system based on intelligent video surveillance and wireless local area network technology. First, design a pulsebased electronic fence system. Under the control of the FPGA, by sending pulses to the electronic fence, the frontend detection fence subsystem can detect the pulse signals, and implement the pulse signals to the FPGA through wireless local area network technology. After feature extraction and pulse signal recognition, determine whether an abnormal situation has occurred. Secondly, an intelligent video surveillance system based on wireless local area network is designed to record the surrounding video information 24 h, and use related target detection technology to locate and record abnormal conditions. The experimental results show that the design system can well judge the occurrence of abnormal conditions and record the abnormal conditions in real time, which can ensure the safety.

In order to improve the humanization and convenience of online art design, this paper applies digital simulation technology to the art online design system and establishes a set of sequential multi-free-form surface design methods. Based on the obtained front free-form surfaces, this paper establishes the relationship between the discrete points on the subsequent free-form surfaces and their spatial solid angles and, through extremely complex theoretical deduction, finally obtains the subsequent free-form surfaces. In addition, by combining the two free-form surfaces to enter the 3D modeling software, we can obtain an optical lens with multiple free-form surfaces to improve the digital simulation effect. Finally, this paper uses the intelligent system constructed in this paper to conduct multiple sets of simulation experiments to evaluate the digital effect and artistic design effect of the system constructed in this paper. From the experimental research, it can be known that the art online design system based on digital simulation technology constructed in this paper basically meets the expected goals of the system constructed in this paper.

Latarjet procedure is a common standard in the treatment of anterior and anterior-inferior shoulder instability with a significant glenoid defect. However, like any other surgical technique, it has a list of certain intra- and postoperative complications, including mistakes in the positioning of the bone block. A necessary guarantee of prevention and reduction of the frequency of possible complications associated with graft positioning is a well-performedpreoperative planning with an understanding of the biomechanical functioning of the shoulder joint with the translated bone block. Objective. According to the mathematical modelling we studied the changes that occur in the stress-strain state of the shoulder joint model depending on the options for graft fixation and may occur during the Latarjet procedure. Methods. To solve this problem, a finite element model of the shoulder was created. The simulationswere performed using the SolidWorks computer-aided design system. The following situations were simulated: variants of fixing screws relative to the plane of the articular surface of the glenoid (parallel to the plane, at an angle of 10° and 20°) and variants of graft fixation height at the anterior edge of the glenoid (at the lower edge of the glenoid, 10 mm and 20 mm upper edge). Calculations of the stress-strain state of the models were performed with the CosmosM software package. Results and conclusions. The presence of a bone graft fixed with metal screws at the area of the defect at the anterior edge of the glenoid, leads to an increase in stress levels in the bone elements of the model. Changes in the stress-strain state of the shoulder model also occur, depending on the angle of the screws that secure the graft. The highest stress level was determined when providing the fixing screws at an angle of 10°, the lowest — when providing the screws parallel to the articular surface of the glenoid. The stresses on the locking screws increased slightly with increasing angle of the screws. When studying the height of graft fixation, the most favorable option, in terms of stress distribution on the articular surface of the glenoid and fixing screws, is its location in the lower part of the anterior edge of the glenoid.

The construction industry is currently undergoing an increasing demand to boost productivity and improve system efficiencies. Clients are demanding increasingly more customised products at a more competitive cost, speed, and quality. Yet current design systems and existing literature largely overlook the use of automated decision-making tools for supporting mass-customisation for prefabricated buildings. To address this gap, a method for using automated tools to optimise the modularisation of prefabricated light-weight structures is investigated. This study’s primary contributions include a multi-variable Modularisation Index, which offers a novel framework for characterising the “optimal” solution, and a recursive Slack-distribution algorithm, which offers a novel method for modularising customised architectural designs. The core insight is that an optimal modularisation solution may be found using a Greedy algorithm. This involves incrementally adjusting the internal module boundaries from the initial solution, and evaluating each viable solution using the proposed Modularisation Index. The Index considers functions of cost, speed, and quality that are weighted according to client preferences. The system outputs the top three highest scoring modularisation solutions which may then be examined by the builder. Overall, the proposed method performs equal to or better than experts for 90% of cases. The Index and modularisation algorithm hence offer useful tools for automating and optimising prefabricated construction, with further opportunity for optimising architectural designs.

Economics and engineering are discovering new opportunities for cross-fertilization. This is partly given to the advent of modern artificial intelligence methods. These opportunities have appeared in the past, resulting in marginal improvements toward integration. As explained by Mariotti (Journal of Industrial and Business Economics, 2021), over the years there has been an intertwining of the two disciplines along the progression of economics for/and/as engineering. Mariotti (2021) also points out that a real transdisciplinary integration (i.e., à la Prigogine) implies a mutual nurturing, where one discipline´s conceptual apparatus is incorporated into the other. A fine-grained view of the epistemological differences of the two disciplines reveals that an integration might be more likely along some, but not all directions. I explain these differences based on different connotations of the concept of design. Particularly, when referring to design aspects of social systems, I also argue that systems approaches may serve as a bridge to integrate economics and engineering. Finally, I offer alternatives to explore how this integration might be undertaken.

The autonomous vehicle is meant to drive by itself, without any driver intervention (for the levels 4 and 5 of automated driving, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA)). This car includes a new function, called Autonomous Driving (AD) function, in charge of driving the vehicle when it is authorized. This function may be in different states (basically active or inactive), that shall be managed by a sub-function, named supervision. The main focus of this work is to ensure that the supervision of a function, performed by a safety critical embedded automotive control system (controlled systems are not considered), respects functional and safety requirements. Usually two processes are involved in the system design: the systems engineering process and the safety one. The first process defines the functional requirements on the function while the safety one specifies redundant sub-functions (realizing together the function) allowing to ensure a continuous service under failure. Since two different aspects of the system are specified, it is a major challenge to make all requirements consistent, from the outset of the design process. In this paper, a method is precisely proposed to address this issue. A progressive reinforcement of the treated requirements is achieved by means of formal state models. In fact, the proposed approach permits to build state models from requirements initially expressed in natural language. Potential ambiguities, incompletenesses or undertones in requirements are in this way gradually deleted. The enrichment of conventional formal verification of control properties with safety requirements constitutes the main originality of the deployed method and contributes to solve inconsistencies between functional and safety verification processes. In addition, the application of the method to the design of AD function supervision highlights its efficiency in an industrial context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The design of low frequency devices relies on the existence of models which can allow a designer to estimate the performance of a proposed device before it is actually constructed. The advances in information processing hardware have enabled more detailed simulations to be developed but these do not provide the interactivity required for a true design process. The paper discusses the needs of the design process and the difficulties of using computer simulations to create real-world solutions to design problems. Several alternate ways in which the increased computational power can be used to enhance the design process are suggested. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Although many routing algorithms have been developed, it is difficult for designers in the automotive industry to adopt them because of the complicated preliminary steps that are required. This study presents a systematic framework for generating the routing layout of the tubes, hoses, and cable harnesses in a commercial truck. The routing layout design problem in a commercial truck is analysed and defined. For routing operations, a sequential graph-based routing algorithm is employed to rapidly provide a routing solution. Because a reference routing layout design does not exist in most engineering problems, a cell-based genetic algorithm combined with a modified maze algorithm is employed to generate a reference design. To consider the clamping condition of the routing components, a new fitness function in the genetic algorithm is implemented. The numerical study shows that the proposed routing algorithm provides a better reference routing layout design than the conventional algorithm. The proposed automatic design system was applied to the routing layout design problem of a commercial truck. It was demonstrated that the proposed framework satisfies all industrial practitioners’ functional requirements and provides a systematic method of solving the routing layout design problem, considering all its characteristics.

13th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ELECO 2021 -- 25 November 2021 through 27 November 2021 -- 176537, A realistic simulation model to obtain harmonic power curves of nonlinear circuits using harmonic radar is proposed in this study. Advanced Design System (ADS) and High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) are used as simulation tools. HFSS is used for modelling free space radiation and ADS is used for circuit modelling. Three different circuits are modelled in ADS which are diode clamper, diode limiter and full wave rectifier. In HFSS part of the simulation, wideband Vivaldi antennas are modelled as radar transmit and receive antennas. To couple radiated power on electronic circuits, a single opportunity dipole antenna tuned to radar transmit frequency is used. Similarly to reradiate the harmonics generated by electronic circuits back to the radar, a log periodic dipole antenna is modelled as an opportunity transmit antenna. Sweeping electromagnetic power level from 0 to 40 dBm on the transmit antenna, nonlinear variation of reflected harmonic powers due to nonlinear components are observed. © 2021 Chamber of Turkish Electrical Engineers.

Metrology, while often confused with the science of measuring weather (meteorology), is a very widely used field. Metrology is mainly concerned with (i) establishing the units of measurements, reproducing these units in the form of standards, and ensuring the uniformity of measurements, (ii) developing methods of measurement, analysing the accuracy of methods of measurement, establishing uncertainty of measurement, researching into the causes of measuring errors, and eliminating these. Although as engineers and scientists, we make use of measurement to quantify the physical and chemical properties of objects, and design systems to conform to standards based on unit of measurement, the principles of measurement science (metrology) is not too familiar to most engineers and scientists. The focus of this brief review is to bring to fore the (i) meaning and definitions of metrology, (ii) importance of measurement, and (iii) the importance of metrology applications in chemical engineering and engineering in general. Key words: Metrology, measurement, process control, process development, engineering design.

The elements of space design and coordination are the most important elements of attraction that give urban space a kind of excitement and distinction. Due to the neglect of urban spaces, the elements of designing and coordinating lost their importance in these spaces. Hence, the research problem is the lack of a clear conception of the role of elements of designing and coordinating of urban spaces to improve their functional and environmental performance and enrich their aesthetic aspects which led to the unwillingness of the city's residents to exploit these spaces. Therefore, the research aims to clarify the relationship between the elements of designing and coordinating the urban spaces and their functional, environmental, and aesthetic performance and improving the efficiency of the urban spaces, in order to be prepared to serve individuals and communities and to be a mirror that reflects the image of the city. Therefore, the research relied on the analytical approach through studying the theoretical framework of the research problem, based on studying and highlighting the importance, components, properties and classification of these spaces. Also, it relied studying the design systems of urban spaces and the contributed elements which improve functional, environmental and aesthetic performance, in addition to conducting a comparative analysis between the study cases, to measure the extent of applying what has been reached in the theoretical study in the study cases. Finally, it has been evident that there is no design of urban spaces based on engineering basis that follow the standards discussed in the research, and it lacks of the minimum and necessary physical components.

Compared to conventional pumping units with low efficiencies and general hydraulic pumping units using hydraulic accumulators to recover and reuse energy, this article presents a novel multi-source hydraulic pumping unit with the symmetrical structure in order to save energy. First, the balanced mechanical structure through the symmetrical arrangement of double wells can not only decrease the total power of the system significantly but also make the power consumption of the pumping unit drop substantially in the constant speed phase. Uniquely, the proposed pumping unit is jointly driven by a hydrostatic transmission hydraulic system and a small-scale solar–wind hybrid power generation system. The hydrostatic transmission technique enables the system power output to adapt to the load requirements in real time without extra throttling and overflow losses, while the solar–wind hybrid system drives alone in the constant speed phase to save energy and bring environmental benefits. After parameter analyses and calculations, the energy-saving advantage of the proposed system is displayed when compared to a counterpart. Then, the mathematical model of the system is developed, and the rule-based energy management strategy is designed for the energy distribution of the proposed system. The simulation results verify that the feasibility and reasonableness of the proposed system.

The speed and specializations of large-scale integrated circuits always contradict their versatility, which expands their range and causes the rise in price of electronic devices. It is possible to eliminate the contradictions between universality and specialization by developing programmable nanoelectronic devices, the algorithms of which are changed at the request of computer hardware developers, i.e. by creating arithmetic circuits with programmable characteristics. The development of issues of theory and practice of the majority principle is now an urgent problem, since the nanoelectronic execution of computer systems with programmable structures will significantly reduce their cost and significantly simplify the design stage of automated systems. Today there is an important problem of developing principles for building reliable computer equipment. The use of mathematical and circuit modeling along with computer-aided design systems (CAD) can significantly increase the reliability of the designed devices. The authors prove the advantages of creating programmable nanodevices to overcome the physical limitations of micro-rominiatization. This continuity contributes to the accelerated introduction of mathematical modeling based on programmable nanoelectronics devices. The simulation and computer-aided design of reliable programmable nanoelectronic devices based on the technology of quantum automata is described. While constructing single-electron nanocircuits of combinational and sequential types the theory of majority logic is used. The order of construction and programming of various types of arithmetic-logic units is analyzed.

This article aims at collecting and discussing the results reached by the research community regarding the study of the ground effect on small rotorcraft unmanned aerial vehicles, especially from the modeling and control point of view. Rotorcraft performance is affected by the presence of the ground or any other boundary that alters the flow into the rotors. Specifically, the ground effect can induce perturbations in the flight stability, when operating near the ground. For a rotorcraft, an accident is likely to happen when the vehicle leaves or enters the ground effect region, which may cause crashes and property damages. Today, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles has grown widespread, which raises safety concerns when they are flying at very low altitudes and near the ground. Consequently, studying the influence of the ground over rotorcrafts is of paramount importance for general safety. Also, these investigations can be used to design systems of guidance, navigation, and control. In this review, we break down the most relevant works to date. We discuss aspects related to modeling, control, and application of the ground effect for small-scale multirotors, as well as other aerodynamic proximity effects, such as the ceiling and wall effects. We conclude by mentioning potential avenues of research when studying the ground effect from the point of view of the robotics and artificial intelligence fields.

Additive Manufacturing (AM) technologies are used to manufacture a physical part quickly through the inputs of a three-dimensional computer-aided design system. 3D printing represents a technological component of additive manufacturing. Here a part is built by layer by layer deposition of material until its entire segments have been made. Many advantages visualise the need for 3D printing manufacturing over conventional manufacturing methods, all in terms of processes, materials, and environment. 3D printing takes challenges the manufacturing ability of subtractive manufacturing by producing designs of complex nature. It allows engineers to have creative liberty while designing components, test them quickly as the manufacturing time is lessened, and help with advanced and conventional materials. There is an adverse impact of conventional manufacturing on the environment, and it has become essential to switch to alternatives like AM that. Some are saying that it is less harmful effects on the environment. This study aims to understand how much sustainable it is to switch to additive manufacturing technologies. This paper reviews the impact of 3D printing on the environment and compares it with existing manufacturing methods based on critical associated parameters. The significant parameter considered is the entire process's energy, the impact on global warming, freshwater, marine water, terrestrial toxicity, and acidification. The study will help researchers to identify the sustainability of printing technologies of AM.

Computer programs at the present time, one of the most important things around me at this time, these things indicate that these ideas indicate that these ideas indicate an outward direction. Its place is a modern design, the beginning of its appearance in architecture where there are relationships and equations applied by the designer by means of programs dedicated to the computer "Grasshopper program". It started from who can obtain a limited number of units and designs by changing and transforming the combinations in one of the variables of these equations. Its versatile, powerful design ideas can easily be manipulated into 3D making it a lush field for continuous experimentation. It is considered the beginning of the application of parametric design direction in architecture. Parametric architecture can be a source of inspiration from which printed designs of female fabrics can be borrowed. It might seem somewhat surprising to use architecture as an inspiration for a textile print designer, but it could be the beginning of a different creative and new trend in the design of printed fabrics.

How modern enzymes evolved as complex catalytic machineries to facilitate diverse chemical transformations is an open question for the emerging field of systems chemistry. Inspired by Nature's ingenuity in creating complex catalytic structures for exotic functions, short peptide-based cross β amyloid sequences have been shown to access intricate binding surfaces demonstrating the traits of extant enzymes and proteins. Based on their catalytic proficiencies reported recently, these amyloid assemblies have been argued as the earliest protein folds. Herein, we map out the recent progress made by our laboratory and other research groups that demonstrate the catalytic diversity of cross β amyloid assemblies. The important role of morphology and specific mutations in peptide sequences has been underpinned in this review. We have divided the feature article into different sections where examples from biology have been covered demonstrating the mechanism of extant biocatalysts and compared with recent works on cross β amyloid folds showing covalent catalysis, aldolase, hydrolase, peroxidase-like activities and complex cascade catalysis. Beyond equilibrium, we have extended our discussion towards transient catalytic amyloid phases mimicking the energy driven cytoskeleton polymerization. Finally, a future outlook has been provided on the way ahead for short peptide-based systems chemistry approaches that can lead to the development of robust catalytic networks with improved enzyme-like proficiencies and higher complexities. The discussed examples along with the rationale behind selecting specific amino acids sequence will benefit readers to design systems for achieving catalytic reactivity similar to natural complex enzymes.

EnglishThe impact of globalization, with all its paradoxes, peculiarities and contradic-tions, on the development of nations in different spheres is a matter that attracts the interest of developing countries as threats are seen in it, but it also creates confidence and hope for the benefits in the globalization of science and technology. In this light, it is essential to study the influence of globalization on the innovation of individuals and, above all, on the innovative ca-pacity of a nation, which entails closely monitoring its impact on national or regional innovation and design systems, to address real or potential threats and seize the opportunities it can offer. This raises the question to be answered in the article: can we talk about the globalization of knowledge, especially scientific-technological? In order to respond, it will first be necessary to analyze the origin of globalization since the postwar period and how science and technology contributed to it. Secondly, to observe how the phenomenon of globalization, as we know it today, occurs practically in relation to 1980 initially with the PC and Internet revolution. Third, it is essential to discern what is global: information or knowledge? Fourthly, and lastly, if we talk about scientific-technological globalization, it is essential to analyze its impact on innova-tion systems and, at the same time, how science and technology policies support or owe the benefits of such globalization portuguesO impacto da globalizacao, com todos os seus paradoxos, peculiaridades e contradicoes, no desenvolvimento das nacoes, em diferentes esferas, e uma questao que atrai o interesse dos paises em desenvolvimento, uma vez que as ameacas sao vistas nela, mas tambem, cria confianca e esperanca nos beneficios na globalizacao da ciencia e da tecnologia. Faten variety). The experimental design was split-plot design system. Spraying sugar beet plants with a mixture of K-Silicate and K-Humate produced the highest values of all studied parameters i.e. NPK concentrations, yield components, quality characteristics and yields followed by spraying with K- Humate, then spraying with K- Silicate and control in a descending order, with exception juice purity that had inverse trend in both seasons. Spraying sugar beet plants with a solution of boron at a rate of 100 mgL-1 was more effective than other studied boron levels in increasing nutrients concentrations, yield components, quality characters and yields and gave the highest values of them during both seasons. It can be concluded that maximum sugar beet nutrients concentrations, yield components, quality characters and yields were significantly affected by the interactions between the foliar spraying of K-Silicate+K-Humate mixture and boron at a rate of 100 mgL-1 under the environmental conditions of Dakahlia Governorate, Egypt.
