Abstract

In this paper, we characterize the worst-case interference for a finite-area TV white space heterogeneous network using the tools of stochastic geometry. We derive closed-form expressions on the probability distribution function (PDF) and an average value of the aggregate interference for various values of path loss exponent. The proposed characterization of the interference is simple and can be used in improving the spectrum access techniques. Using the derived PDF, we demonstrate the performance gain in the spectrum detection of an eigenvalue-based detector for cognitive radio networks.

Abstract

The crime rate has been rising at an unprecedented rate, and security has become a big concern in ATM machines. Face detection is the most common biometric technique due to its non-invasive nature. It's been used in a variety of fields, including camera auto focus, attendance, crowd monitoring, object tracking, security, system, etc. Face detection systems uses image processing techniques that are being learned to operate reliably in a variety of conditions, including changes in posture, lighting, skin color, occlusion, and face spoofing. The face detection system has become increasingly vulnerable to occlusion. Occlusion refers to the deliberate shielding of one's face with a helmet, sunglasses, scarves, or other items in order to avoid being caught. These issues have a significant impact on the development of image processing techniques and system's performance. In this paper the Haar Cascade Classifier (HCC) scheme is projected for face detection where precision as well as minimal processing time are important factors for ATM. The proposed scheme uses deep learning models such as Convolutional Neural Networks to enhance the reliability in feature extraction plus classification of images. Face biometric access control devices are becoming more common in everyday lives, but they remain vulnerable to spoofing attacks. This paper also proposes face spoofing identification using Local Binary Pattern (LBP) that has useful features for face detection. Abstract

The present work describes an efficient and environmentally benign four component synthesis of structurally diverse substituted pyrido-pyrimidines involving the reaction of barbituric acid, 4-hydroxy 6-methyl 2-pyrone, an aromatic aldehyde and ammonium acetate in low transition temperature mixture (LTTM) (glycerol:proline: 1:1). The LTTM serves as green solvent which is an inexpensive, nontoxic and plays a dual function (reusable catalyst and solvent), and is found to be an excellent reaction endorsing medium. The present protocol offers some advantages such as easy work up, shorter reaction time, an excellent yield with higher atom economy, maximum reaction efficiency with an excellent green chemistry metrics. The synthesized compounds have been evaluated for their antioxidant activity using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging assay as well as molecular docking studies performed on myeloperoxidase enzyme. The dimethylformamide solvated crystal structure of 3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-9-(3-chlorophenyl)-3,4,6,7,9,10-hexahydroacridine-1,8-dione (C26 H33 Cl N2 O3) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P -1with unit cell parameters: a=9.0814(4), b=11.5650(5), c=12.1354(5) Ǻ, a=91.806(3)º, β=96.450(3)º, g= 104.565(4)º and Z = 2. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares procedures to a final R-value of 0.056 for 2691observed reflections. The central ring of the acridinedione system adopts a boat conformation and the two outer rings adopt sofa conformations. Abstract

The title compound, 2-amino-4-(4-fluorophenyl)-7,7-dimethyl-5-oxo-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4H-chromene-3-carbonitrile (C21 H24 F N3 O3), crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C 2/c with unit cell parameters: a =31.342(3), b = 9.3481(9), c = 15.9051(11) Ǻ, β = 118.687(9)º, Z = 8. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares procedures to a final R-value of 0.0588 for 2776 observed reflections. The fused cyclohexene and pyran rings adopt sofa and boat conformations, respectively. The four essentially planar atoms (C1/ C2/C5/C6) of pyran ring (maximum deviation = 0.0878Å for C2) form a dihedral angle of 87.85 (7)° with the benzene ring and is almost coplanar with the mean plane of the cyclohexene ring [dihedral angle = 7.23 (7)º].
