Student mobility, as a significant component of population movements, shapes the distribution of intellectual individuals and reflects regional equity in access to higher education. In China, the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao) traditionally governs university admissions through a province‐based quota scheme. In 2003, the Independent Freshman Admission Program (IFAP) was introduced to enhance flexibility and university autonomy in the admissions process, in which no quota is set for each province, breaking geographical constraints. However, the extent to which the IFAP has impacted student mobility remains largely unexplored. This study investigates the province‐to‐university migration patterns under different higher education admission schemes, revealing IFAP's preference for recruiting students from provinces with well‐developed basic education and a large student population. Furthermore, under the IFAP, students tend to flow to the top‐ranked universities and concentrate in favourable locations, such as First‐tier cities, while the quota allocation shows a more balanced distribution. These findings highlight the crucial role of policy in shaping student mobility, particularly within the context of strong institutional forces, and underscore the need to develop refined policies that balance equitable educational opportunities and regional equity. By highlighting the motivation behind the intergenerational transmission of cultural capital (ITCC), this article extends the notion of the transmission of cultural capital. Utilising Bourdieusian theoretical resources, this article produces an analytical framework for the ITCC. Through empirical materials that were gathered based on semi-structured interviews conducted in China with adolescent golfers as well as separately with their mothers, this article reveals the multiple objectives of purposeful ITCC, and the reverse transmission/cultural feedback to mothers is also identified. The findings show that there are three objectives from social and biological sense:1) increasing the possibility of enrolling in a prestigious university; 2) promoting sportsmanship awareness and positioning social hierarchy; and 3) maintaining fitness and correcting vision. Unintentional cultural feedback/reverse transmission emerges as a result of increasingly frequent intergenerational communication between mother and child. Mothers start acquiring and deepening their habitus in golf-related fields with dominant or recessive guidance from youngsters. This article demonstrates the analytical capacity of Bourdieusian theoretical resources for intergenerational transmission analyses in the Chinese context. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The natural environment of the human world has been deteriorating over the past few decades, and policies to protect the environment are receiving increasing attention from governments worldwide. The question of how green institutional pressures from local governments impact corporate behaviors, especially innovation behaviors, is a critical issue. However, the link between local governments' institutional pressures and corporate innovative behaviors remains a matter of some dispute. This paper compiles data from foreign-invested enterprises in China, using the frequency of green development terms in the Chinese local governments' annual reports as a key variable, and discusses the influence of local governments' green institutional pressure on corporate innovation. The conclusions of this paper demonstrate that local governments' institutional pressure has a promoting effect on corporate innovation, while the home country's level of green knowledge reservoir has a negative moderating effect on this influence. Moreover, this conclusion exhibits heterogeneity across corporate nature, industry attributes, location characteristics, export experience and home country type. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
