This study introduces and evaluates an innovative combined cooling, heating, and power (CCHP) system integrating a gas turbine cycle with transcritical and supercritical CO2 cycles, a high-pressure steam cycle, a Goswami cycle, and a heating terminal. The primary objective is to enhance the thermodynamic efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of power generation. Through detailed exergy and energy analyses, we assessed the system's performance and compared it with traditional energy systems. The methodology included evaluating the irreversibility within each component, particularly highlighting the gas turbine cycle's significant share of irreversibility at 67% and the chamber's highest exergy destruction. Our findings reveal that the integrated system achieves total energy, exergy, and electrical efficiencies of 68.83%, 34.63%, and 33.55%, respectively, while significantly reducing CO2 emissions to 0.298 kgCO2/kWh—outperforming coal, oil, and natural gas power plants in environmental sustainability. Furthermore, the integrated CCHP system showcases superior thermodynamic performance by achieving higher efficiency rates compared to existing solutions detailed in recent studies, thereby marking a significant step forward in the development of sustainable power generation technologies. Spectral–polarization imaging technology plays a crucial role in remote sensing detection, enhancing target identification and tracking capabilities by capturing both spectral and polarization information reflected from object surfaces. However, the acquisition of multi-dimensional data often leads to extensive datasets that necessitate comprehensive analysis, thereby impeding the convenience and efficiency of remote sensing detection. To address this challenge, we propose a fusion algorithm based on spectral–polarization characteristics, incorporating principal component analysis (PCA) and energy weighting. This algorithm effectively consolidates multi-dimensional features within the scene into a single image, enhancing object details and enriching edge features. The robustness and universality of our proposed algorithm are demonstrated through experimentally obtained datasets and verified with publicly available datasets. Additionally, to meet the requirements of remote sensing tracking, we meticulously designed a pseudo-color mapping scheme consistent with human vision. This scheme maps polarization degree to color saturation, polarization angle to hue, and the fused image to intensity, resulting in a visual display aligned with human visual perception. We also discuss the application of this technique in processing data generated by the Channel-modulated static birefringent Fourier transform imaging spectropolarimeter (CSBFTIS). Experimental results demonstrate a significant enhancement in the information entropy and average gradient of the fused image compared to the optimal image before fusion, achieving maximum increases of 88% and 94%, respectively. This paper presents a modified Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) model based on the Cauchy–Lorentz distribution that accurately characterizes the reflected energy distribution of typical materials, such as metals and coatings in hemispherical space. The proposed model overcomes the problem of large errors in classical models when detecting angles far away from the specular reflection angle by dividing the reflected light into specular reflection, directional diffuse reflection, and ideal diffuse reflection components. The newly added directional diffuse reflection component is represented by the Cauchy–Lorentz distribution, and its parameters are directly obtained from experimental measurement curves without distribution fitting. Surface morphology and model parameters are determined through measurements, and the comparison between simulation and actual measurement results shows that the modified BRDF model is in excellent agreement with the measured data. The proposed model not only achieves higher accuracy and universality, but it also represents a significant advancement in the field of BRDF modeling research. Its contributions have profound implications for advancing the state of the art in BRDF modeling, as well as having a broader impact on computer graphics and computer vision domains. AbstractThe copper mesh provides effective lightning strike protection for composite structures, while its efficiency can be compromised in scarf-repaired composite structures. In this study, after verified by test results, a numerical analysis procedure was employed to predict the lightning ablation damage and residual bending performances of scarf-repaired composite laminates with copper mesh protection. Initially, the ablation damage and bending damage mechanisms of good repaired and poor repaired composite laminates were analyzed. Then, the impact of lightning strike attachment position and repair design parameters including overlap length and thickness of adhesive layer on the lighting protection performances was investigated. The results indicate that ablation damage of composite and adhesive materials near the repair area significantly compromises structural integrity and reduces the bending strength. The predominant bending failure mode of scarf-repaired woven composite laminates after lightning strike is fiber failure in warp direction, accompanied by small areas of matrix failure and delamination failure. The reestablishment level of the electrical path varies with overlap length and thickness of adhesive layer, subsequently affecting the ablation damage area and depth. Previous underwater imaging methods have not developed a clear idea of estimating the degree of polarization of target light (Pobj). To address this issue, this Letter answers the question of how the estimation result of Pobj affects clear imaging. First, the theoretical derivation states that Pobj is simply a scale modulation factor of the imaging result. Second, experiments are conducted for validation, and results conform well to the derivation. Hence, the effect of the estimated Pobj on clear imaging is obtained. This parameter only influences brightness rather than contrast but may cause noise amplification as well as the unfavorable result of negative pixels. Therefore, no precise estimation is needed; pick the value near the ends of the definition domain directly and take the absolute value. Based on these, a new imaging formula is proposed, enabling the processing time to fulfill the actual dynamic imaging requirements. As far as we are concerned, the attained prior knowledge and formula could provide strong assistance for underwater polarization imaging.
