The article is dedicated to the modern challenges of logistics in SMEs in Bulgaria and the EU. In modern conditions, dynamic market realities impose new requirements on business entities. As the basis of the market economy, small and medium-sized enterprises must monitor technical and technological changes and organize their activities in such a way as to be competitive. The analysis and evaluation of logistics activities in business organizations is of great importance in view of their efficiency and competitiveness. on this basis, the state of the organization is analyzed and strategies for future development are drawn up. Like any other activity, logistics is associated with a number of problems that complicate its activity. This predetermines the purpose of the article, namely to examine and evaluate the process of logistics management in SMEs, to determine the potential of modern logistics processes of these business entities, to take preventive measures in order to solve set tasks and to assess the degree of influence of their activity on the economic situation.

The report will address the main problem in risk measurement, namely the lack of a sufficiently long series of data for the various variables, so that the trend of their development can be formed with negligible error. A model will be made through a mathematical calculation in order to derive a long enough series with statistics reflecting the correlation between the individual variable indices and the standard deviation (volatility) to be able to obtain results with greater accuracy.

The digitization of logistics activities in small and medium-sized enterprises is part of the changes brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Rapid technical progress in technology and its impact on production will put increasing pressure on both its structure and process distinctiveness. In addition to the positive aspects of this revolution, there are also negative ones, leading to a dramatic change in the functioning of individual units in any organization. In order to keep up with the changes, the company must demonstrate a capacity for digitization of its economic activity. This predetermines the purpose of the article, namely to examine the level of digitization of logistics activities in small and medium-sized enterprises in the North-East Region.

We live in a digital era. Nowadays almost all accounting and production project information are collected into long electronic spreadsheets that are easily accessible for the production managers so they can extract the data and analyze it according to their needs. In every work project, especially in long project production, IT or manufacturing, there is the need to perform an elaborated risk management, just because there is a gap of uncertainty from the process of planning to the final workflow cost. One main task that often causes problems is the quantitative risk analysis. In this article we will show how to use a well-known standard product, that is easily accessible even to micro entrepreneur – Microsoft Office/Excel. With the help of MS-Excel it will be cost effective and easy to extract the data and create standard risk simulations, which will help managers to take decisions and reduce their risk exposition.

Factors that determine the effect of using automated management systems (AMS) in logistics are no longer just industrial, but also social and environmental, related to different structures in different parts of the world. In the current stage of industrial development, they are already forming the concept of modern production development using artificial intelligence and in logistics. Technological impacts dictate the tendency to continuously reduce manual, heavy and unattractive labor at the expense of higher productivity. The social aspect demands the discovery of new or preserving old jobs, and the environmental aspect imposes a lasting trend towards compliance with environmental standards and sustainable development parameters. The purpose of this report is to explore these differently impacting factors and on this basis to build an AMS of logistics across the value chain with the ability to incorporate digital intelligence. Within the new strategic industry development (fourth technological revolution) offers maximum use leading role of industrial information technologies, which are currently a major revolutionary factor of technological progress. The purpose of this article is not only to demonstrate the leading role of information technology in industrial activity, but also to propose an approach for the construction of optimization models for intelligent link between technological and logistical processes. This means that through technological and logistical compatibility using smart industries will share real information to better meet the ever increasing customer demands. This flexible technology and business development at a well-established logistics system will lead to greater individualization in the provision and use of intelligent and tailor-made industrial products and services. In the article examined the characteristics of biogas fuels and presented opportunities for distribution in Bulgaria. For this purpose have been made studies on the composition of the biogas fuels derived from various starting materials. Analyzed the possibilities for use of biogas fuel, depending on the content of the various concentrations of methane and carbon dioxide. An in-depth analysis of the possibility of distributing raw materials to finished filling stations in Bulgaria, according to the application.
