A five-month survey on Eucalyptus spp., one of the most commonly planted trees in Cyprus, was undertaken in Limassol and Akrotiri in urban, rural and protected habitats. Two alien gall-inducing Eucalyptus wasps: Leptocybe invasa Fisher and La Salle, 2004 and Ophelimus maskelli (Ashmead, 1900) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) were recorded for the first time from Cyprus. In addition, three new alien parasitoids: Stethynium ophelimi (Huber, 2006) (Hymenoptera: Mymaridae), Closterocerus chamaeleon (Girault, 1922) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae) and Megastigmus lawsoni Doğanlar and Hassan, 2010 (Hymenoptera: Megastigmidae), were reared from O. maskelli and L. invasa galls. Alien invasive species not only have adverse environmental impacts, they may also pose socioeconomic and human health threats. The increase in detected non-native (alien) and cryptogenic species, followed by the necessity for up-to-date scientific information on biological invasions, prompted a thorough literature investigation on the non-native entomofauna of Greece. Supplementing previous studies concerning Europe and Greece, a checklist for the non-native insect species of the country is provided, while their number is elevated from 266 to 469. Current trends regarding species richness and taxonomy, deliberate or accidental means of introduction, as well as their native range and trophic preferences are analysed and discussed. This publication illustrates the current state of non-native insects of Greece, highlighting the need for an effective early warning system integrated in national phytosanitary legislation, survey protocols and strategies towards the eradication and mitigation of their detrimental impacts. © 2021 Jakovos Demetriou et al. Phradonoma cercyonoides Reitter, 1887 and Reesa vespulae (Milliron, 1939) (Me-gatominae: Megatomini) are reported for the first time from Greece. Distribution, invasiveness and status of both species are discussed. Phradonoma cercyonoides is tentatively suggested as alien to the country. An updated list of the non-native Dermestidae of Greece is provided, supplementing our knowledge on the alien Dermestidae of Europe. © 2021, Entomological Society of Israel. All rights reserved.

The historical collection of Chalcidoidea (Hymenoptera) deposited in the Museum of Zoology of the University of Athens is reviewed. Despite the small number and poor condition of specimens, two new records for the Greek fauna have been established: Eucharis (Psilogastrellus) punctata Förster, 1859 and Stilbula cyniformis (Rossi, 1792) (Eucharitidae). The collection constitutes an important part of the cultural heritage and holds some of the oldest—more than one century ago—Chalcidoidea specimens collected in Greece. © 2021, Entomological Society of Israel.
