Ethics is critical in emergency response to public health and patient care in ways that create a variety of challenging dilemmas and decisions. Understanding ethical codes around medical care, especially during the emergence of COVID 19, has made leadership's role in perpetuating ethical organizational cultures in healthcare vital. Ethical leadership and ethical organizational cultures transform and unite social systems around everyday purposes of ethical decision-making, leveraging organizational connectedness. Leadership value systems mitigate subjectivity constituting ethical themes of moral character and virtues to advance organizational trust. Leadership value systems reduce subjectivity, forming ethical issues of moral character and virtues to promote organizational confidence and moral organizational decision-making. This paper employs the use of content analysis from the literature to take disjointed approaches and combine them into a cohesive understanding of leadership dynamics on organizational ethics in healthcare.

In March of 2020, the United States activated nationwide pandemic response protocols due to the swift spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease 2019, also known as COVID-19. Amidst the domestic response, urgency surrounded the need to build collective awareness of the signs, symptoms, and preventive measures of the virus. As the virus spread and historically marginalized communities were disproportionately impacted with rates of infection, the need to explore the presence of disparities in health communication, health education, and personal health literacy surfaced. The research contained within this study examines the root cause of the gap in health literacy for communities of color and presents actionable next steps to increase positive healthcare outcomes for all. In 2016, millennials surpassed Baby Boomers as the largest living generation in the United States. As more millennials have entered the nursing workforce, healthcare leaders have confronted a growing challenge of nursing shortages and high turnover rates for young nurses. Although nurses of all ages were pleased with their career choices, differences exist in how nurses in various age groups view job satisfaction, ideal workplace cultures, and workplace rewards. Generational differences among the nursing workforce have resulted in an increase in turnover, decreased retention, motivation, and job loyalty that have comprised the work environment of healthcare facilities. This inquiry uses an exploratory content analysis of the literature to understand the complex health administration challenges of creating managing, motivating, and retaining nurses.

Medical labs, hospitals, doctor's offices, and medical devices face significant cyber risks. The insecurity of medical devices, including imaging hardware, threatens patient safety. Health organizations are rich with valuable data as well as weak with information security expertise, protocols, and infrastructure. It is critical for more health organizations to focus creating organizational cultures with processes that offer all employees to fully understand the nature of information security risks and have the ability to be active participants in the minimization and reporting of observable risks. This article will lay a foundation to establish techniques and practices for open door policies.

A 2016 article in the Nation outlined that in the United States the average Black family would need 228 years to build comparable wealth to the average white family. Today, achieving the dream of higher education has posed many threats to the Hispanic and African American communities. In order to achieve the dream, many minority students receive student loans to fund their higher education pursuits with hopes that future employment will afford repayment. However, most do not realize the risks. Student loan debt is a severe and mounting problem in the United States. In the United States, seven million student loan borrowers are now in default. Forty-five percent of college students obtain some sort of credit card debt. Lack of knowledge on financial literacy and student loan debt management is a serious issue. This article presents findings that support making financial literacy courses mandatory for college students just like Mathematics and English courses, especially at minority-serving colleges and universities.

This study will explore an innovative approach to cybersecurity workforce development in low income, minority, and Native American reservation communities in a way that could address low living wages and high unemployment while meeting cyber workforce demands. In the efforts to build a robust talent pipeline, there is a critical need for innovative practices to educate the future cyber professions in underserved diverse communities. Systemically, diverse communities have been untapped, ignored, and undervalued for technical job opportunities. This study looks at using charter schools with minority demographics that should have advanced technology programs that address a colossal workforce development need in the U.S. by training future cyber professionals on the high school level.

In most circles, it is considered a degree to develop corporate managers. With the leadership failures of organizations like pharmaceutical price collusion and price increase of 539% of Perrigo Pharmaceuticals, the fake account fraud practices at Wells Fargo, sexual harassment issues at Uber, the Equifax data breach, and the video of a forcible, bloody removal of a passenger on a United Airlines in the U.S., there has been increased criticism concerning the effectiveness of current MBA programs and leadership development in general. This qualitative research study explores how the curriculum of the MBA of the future should look.

The clinical training of healthcare professionals and the delivery of safe healthcare is reliant on a vigorous organizational safety culture, one where the workplace and medical training environment is free of hostility and harassment. Sexual harassment and sexual misconduct are significant problems for women in healthcare. For all staff members, it is imperative that the hospital has clear, solid policies and, even more importantly, procedures and communication of those procedures for reporting problems concerning harassment. This research inquiry uses case study action research in the context of an OD intervention in school of health science and medical center that provides clinical and medical training and community patient care. The organization has significant organizational cultural issues around harassment. Results indicate the need for more proactive strategies around leadership and organizational cultural change that can apply to medical schools, schools of health science, and medical centers.
