Agency-level financial application system (SAKTI) at Directorate General of Budget (DJA) – The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia was built to provide benefits in the form of increased integration, efficiency, planning processes, implementation, and accountability of the state budget rather than the previous system. But the fact is, the implementation of SAKTI still causes problems related to users and their impact on individuals and organizations, thereby reducing these benefits. The purpose of this study is to test the influence of information and system quality of SAKTI on attitude towards use and user satisfaction and its impact on individual of SAKTI’s user and organizational impact of DJA. This is a quantitative study using primary data from SAKTI’s operational user as respondent that was collected using paper & pencil method. The population in this study was 60 people. Using purposive sampling technique with access frequency criteria, a sample size of 55 users was obtained. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) – Partial Least Square (PLS). The result proved that both system information and system quality positively of SAKTI affect both attitude towards use and user satisfaction, both attitude towards use and user satisfaction of SAKTI positively affect each other and both of them positively affect individual impact of SAKTI’s user, and individual impact of SAKTI’s user positively affect organizational impact of DJA. The results of the study still do not adequately represent the overall perception of SAKTI users. In this regard, further research is needed covering the scope of which has not been studied in the Echelon I environment at the Ministry of Finance in addition to the DJA. Research on the risks of SAKTI implementation that does not run smoothly as well as the risks of negative impacts on the performance of individuals and organizations has never been done, especially in the work unit at the DJA – The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

Teaching books as one of the important components in the learning process, including in college. This study aims to produce feasibility and effective teaching books of science concept based on quantum learning for primary school students. This research uses R&D based on Borg & Gall with the steps: (1)research and information collecting; (2) planning; (3)develop preliminary form product; (4) preliminary field testing; (5) main product revision; (6) main field testing; (7) operationalproduct revision; (8) operational field testing; (9) final product revision; and (10) dissemination. Results show that teaching books of science concept based on quantum learning feasible from the material aspect of 89,16%, presentation aspect by 93,05%, and linguistic aspect of 91,67%. Textbooks of Quantum Learning-based Science Concepts are effective to improve activity and student learning outcomes. Learning activity of 88,57 % and classical completeness of 91,42%. This teaching book gives student opportunity chance to acquire many learning experiences needed as elementary school teacher’s candidate

This study aims to analyze the scientific literacy skills of PGSD students at the University of Borneo Tarakan with the Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS). TOSLS is a test that measures skills related to the main aspects of scientific literacy, namely recognizing and analyzing the use of investigative methods that lead to scientific knowledge and skills to organize, analyze, and interpret quantitative data and scientific information. This study uses qualitative research, namely by analyzing and describing the main aspects of student scientific literacy with TOSLS. The results showed that the students 'scientific literacy skills were still in poor criteria as indicated by the students' skills in understanding the method of investigation that led to scientific knowledge of 59.54%, and the skills of organizing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative data and scientific information by 54.56%. The results of this research become the basis for further research with innovative learning models and teaching materials to improve students' scientific literacy.

This research aims to improve the science process skills of students Natural Sciences (IPA) using the model of Problem Based Learning. Science process skills is scientist behavioral that can be learned and developed by students through the learning process in the classroom. Science process skills provide more opportunities for students to play an active role in learning. This research uses a Classroom Action Research (PTK), which is composed of two cycles. Each cycle includes three stages: planning, action accompanied by observation, and reflection. The collection of data through observation, interviews, documentation and testing. The results showed that the use of models Problem Based Learning in science teaching can improve science process skills of students in the learning process. It is seen from the value of science process skills of students has increased from cycle I to cycle II which show the percentage of students' science process skills by 64.17% in the first cycle to 78.96% in the second cycle. Aluminum, a contentious trace element found in the environment, has been demonstrated to have harmful effects on both humans and animals. In contrast, Sempervivum tectorum, an evergreen plant, has been found to offer numerous beneficial effects for both humans and animals. Therefore, this study aims to assess the protective effect of S. tectorum on certain reproductive biomarkers in male rats exposed to aluminum. Thirty-five Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups: NTC (no-treatment control) received distilled water; NC (negative control) received drinking water containing 1 mg/L aluminum sulfate (AS); E1 received 1 mg/L AS along with an 8% S. tectorum extract; PC (positive control) received only 8% S. tectorum extract; E2 received 1 mg/L AS for three months followed by 8% extract for one month. The study analyzed testosterone, LH, FSH, body weight, and the histological structure of the testis, epididymis, and prostate, as well as the levels of zinc, manganese, copper, and iron in these organs. Significant decreases in body weight, testis, and epididymis size were observed in the aluminum-exposed groups compared to the control, whereas these decreases were not significant in the S. tectorum-treated groups compared to the control. Aluminum exposure led to significant decreases in testosterone and LH levels, with FSH levels showing a nonsignificant decrease in males, which were mitigated significantly by the administration of the plant extract. Histological analysis revealed alterations in the testis, epididymis, and prostate of the AS-exposed groups, including necrosis of seminiferous tubule epithelium and Leydig cells in the testis, and basal epithelial necrosis in the epididymis and prostate. Aluminum levels increased in all organs studied, while levels of zinc, copper, iron, and manganese decreased, showing a negative and significant correlation with aluminum levels. The aqueous extract of S. tectorum demonstrated a protective effect on certain studied biomarkers in male rats affected by aluminum exposure.

Plant traits-the morphological, anatomical, physiological, biochemical and phenological characteristics of plants-determine how plants respond to environmental factors, affect other trophic levels, and influence ecosystem properties and their benefits and detriments to people. Plant trait data thus represent the basis for a vast area of research spanning from evolutionary biology, community and functional ecology, to biodiversity conservation, ecosystem and landscape management, restoration, biogeography and earth system modelling. Since its foundation in 2007, the TRY database of plant traits has grown continuously. It now provides unprecedented data coverage under an open access data policy and is the main plant trait database used by the research community worldwide. Increasingly, the TRY database also supports new frontiers of trait-based plant research, including the identification of data gaps and the subsequent mobilization or measurement of new data. To support this development, in this article we evaluate the extent of the trait data compiled in TRY and analyse emerging patterns of data coverage and representativeness. Best species coverage is achieved for categorical traits-almost complete coverage for 'plant growth form'. However, most traits relevant for ecology and vegetation modelling are characterized by continuous intraspecific variation and trait-environmental relationships. These traits have to be measured on individual plants in their respective environment. Despite unprecedented data coverage, we observe a humbling lack of completeness and representativeness of these continuous traits in many aspects. We, therefore, conclude that reducing data gaps and biases in the TRY database remains a key challenge and requires a coordinated approach to data mobilization and trait measurements. This can only be achieved in collaboration with other initiatives.

The values for short- and longwave radiation, latent and sensible heat fluxes were calculated for the spring thermal bar in Lake Dolgoe. A thermal bar phenomenon is a narrow zone of waters sinking in the area of temperature of maximum density. The calculations are based on meteorological data from stations in Sharkawshchyna, Polotsk and Lepel (44 km NW, 46 km NE, and 48 km SE of the lake, respectively). A comparative analysis was conducted for heat fluxes in April 2023. Maximum, minimum, and mean values of fluxes of short- and longwave radiation and latent and sensible heat were obtained.

The results of numerical modeling of the dynamics of the spring thermal bar into Lake Dolgoe (Belarus), obtained using meteorological data from the Sharkovshchina station for April 2023, are presented. The dependence of the horizontal movement of the thermal bar front on the wind direction is revealed: the northern wind accelerates it, and the eastern wind slows it down. Modeled temperature distributions showed warming of water not only in the area where the channel flows from Lake Svyadovo, but also in the middle shallow part of the body of water.

Diabetic cardiovascular complications are associated with up to 50% mortality, and current therapies are not effective enough. Renin–angiotensin–aldosterone system inhibitors (RAASis) are the standard of care for diabetic patients with hypertension and albuminuria. Based on our previous studies reporting the renoprotective effects of low-dose RAASis, here, we hypothesized that low-dose RAASi treatment has cardioprotective and antifibrotic benefits in type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM). After five weeks of T1DM, adult male Wistar rats received low doses of ramipril, losartan, or eplerenone for two weeks. Heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse wave velocity (PWV) were recorded. Aortic intima–media thickness (IMT), collagen accumulation, and myocardial fibrosis were assessed. All RAASis reduced PWV elevation, prevented the progression of myocardial fibrosis, and normalized B-type natriuretic peptide, troponin I, and fibroblast growth factor 23 levels without affecting blood pressure. Interestingly, only eplerenone reversed the decline in Klotho levels and reduced IMT and fibrosis in the media of the aorta. Our comparative analysis suggests that mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists, particularly eplerenone, may offer superior efficacy in halting both the arterial and the myocardial injuries in T1DM compared to angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors or angiotensin II type 1 receptor blockers.

Tree establishment to restore degraded boreal post-mining lands is challenged by low soil productivity, a harsh microclimate, and potentially high contaminant levels. The use of mixed vegetation can facilitate the microclimate but increase competition for soil resources. A statistical accounting of plant-plant interactions and adaptation to multispecies conditions is hard to achieve in field experiments; trials under controlled conditions can distinguish effects of planting density and species interactions in the early stages of plant establishment. A greenhouse trial was established in containers ('mesocosms') with waste rock or fine tailings from gold mines. Pregerminated (1-week-old) seedlings (Anus viridis subsp. crispa, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Salix arbusculoides) were planted using a Nelder density gradient design, modified for species combinations. A relative competition effect was estimated as a competitiveness index for each species combination, calculated as a ratio of a coefficients in the Holliday growth equation. The specific leaf area (SLA) was measured to indicate plant water stress adaptation. All species grew better in monoculture on fine tailings, while only P. tremuloides grew better in all mixtures on waste rock. Although net positive effects of density on SLA increment during early growth suggested microclimate improvement on fine tailings, no mixture provided advantages for both species in paired combinations. Une comptabilisation statistique des interactions entre les plantes et de l'adaptation aux conditions de multiples especes est difficile a realiser dans le cadre d'experiences sur le terrain; les essais en conditions controlees permettent de distinguer les effets de la densite de plantation et les interactions entre les especes aux premiers stades de l'etablissement des plantes. Un essai en serre a ete realise dans des recipients (mesocosmes) avec des dechets rocheux et des residus fins provenant de mines d'or. Des semis pregermes (ages d'une semaine) (Alnus viridis subsp. crispa, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Salix arbusculoides) ont ete plantes selon un plan base sur la methode de Nelder, modifiee pour les combinaisons d'especes. Un effet relatif de competition a ete estime en tant qu'indice de competitivite pour chaque combinaison d'especes, calcule comme un rapport du coefficient a dans l'equation de croissance de Holliday. La surface foliaire specifique (SFS) a ete mesuree pour indiquer l'adaptation des plantes au stress hydrique. Toutes les especes ont eu une meilleure croissance en monoculture sur les residus fins alors que seul P. tremuloides a eu une meilleure croissance dans toutes les combinaisons sur les dechets rocheux. Bien que des effets nets de la densite sur l'accroissement de la SFS lors de la croissance initiale suggerent qu'il y avait une amelioration du microclimat sur les residus fins, aucun melange n'a procure des avantages pour les deux especes dans les combinaisons appariees. This paper examines the relationship between materialistic politics and voter apathy in Nigeria's democratic processes. The study explores how the competitive pursuit of wealth and power among political elites, often prioritized over public service, contributes to growing disengagement among voters. Factors investigated include eroding trust in political institutions, widespread corruption, and elected officials' failure to address pressing socioeconomic issues. The influence of material incentives, such as financial inducements and patronage, is also considered. Anchored in Rational Choice theory, which posits that individuals act to maximize self-interest based on available information and potential outcomes, the research employs a mixed-methods approach. Data was collected through literature review and in-depth interviews with adult citizens, including representatives from political parties, civil society organizations, and professional bodies across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. The findings highlight the need for a comprehensive re-evaluation of Nigeria's political landscape, emphasizing a shift from materialistic gains to effective governance and inclusive development. The study recommends addressing the root causes of voter apathy to revitalizing Nigerian democracy, making it more inclusive, responsive, and representative of the people's will. Objective: National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs) are high‐level policy documents that prioritise actions to be taken to improve cancer control activities. As the number of cancer survivors grows globally, there is an urgent need to assess whether and how psychosocial care across the cancer care continuum is included in NCCPs. This review aimed to ascertain the extent to which NCCPs referenced psycho‐oncology care for cancer survivors in the post‐treatment phase. Methods: NCCPs were obtained from the International Cancer Control Partnership (ICCP) portal (in November 2021) and reviewed in two phases. In Phase 1, all available NCCPs were screened to determine whether they mentioned psycho‐oncology or survivorship. In Phase 2, reviewers extracted data from the NCCPs identified in Phase 1 on the degree that each plan articulated objectives/goals to improve psychosocial care in the post‐treatment survivorship phase. Results: We screened 237 NCCPs. Of these, initial potential reference to psycho‐oncology and survivorship content were identified in 97 plans (41%). In Phase 1, 57/97 (59%) had reference to psycho‐oncology or survivorship content within defined criteria. In Phase 2, 27/97 (28%) had little mention of psycho‐oncology specifically in survivorship, 47/97 (48%) had some (general or brief) mention, and the remaining 23/97 (24%) had substantial content/specific sections and clearly articulated goals and/or objectives. Common goals for improving psychosocial care in the post‐treatment period included building capacity of healthcare professionals, implementing rehabilitation models, and increasing the utilisation of community services. Conclusions: Most NCCPs did not reference psycho‐oncology and only one‐quarter contained clear objectives specifically in the post‐treatment survivorship phase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
