The shift from traditional education to maker-centered learning calls for an analysis and evaluation of the current studies on professional development in maker-centered learning. The current systematic literature review was conducted to examine existing literature on teacher professional development for maker-centered learning. It aligns the literature to the theory of constructionism, which is often cited as a foundational theory supporting maker-centered learning. The creation and integration of makerspaces in educational environments is a growing trend that supports creating and building material objects for learning. As makerspaces emerge in K-12 contexts, the need for research-based teacher education practices becomes apparent. The findings of this literature review describe the current landscape of research on this topic, illustrating the types of research conducted, the goals of professional development for teachers in this area, and effective elements of professional development experiences that contribute to teacher success in using maker-centered learning strategies. The implications of the findings and suggestions for future research are presented.

Territorial governance has become omnipresent in all economic, political or social discourses, it is a question of implementing dynamic processes of coordination, pooling efforts, shared visions of different actors of a territory and diverse resources (cognitive, material and immaterial, symbolic, financial, etc.) [1,2], with the abolition of the decision-making monopoly of the State [3]. It relies on the involvement of different territorial actors in the construction of territorial policies in order to better align with the territorial project [4,5]. In this context, the mechanisms of coordination, co-construction and co-decision become necessary for the realization of collective projects of the territory, and the reduction of interregional disparities. However, in Morocco, the main territorial actors, in particular the territorial collectivises and the external services of the ministries, still preserve the classic hierarchical character of their organization, this hinders the successful implementation of these mechanisms around territorial projects. This paper highlights the role of territorial governance in the success of territorial projects by taking the example of the crafts of Fez. To this end, we will first present the state of the art of territorial governance by analysing all the underlying theories. Then, we focus on its contribution to the success of the project of valorisation of the artisanal resource of Fez in particular and the development of this territory in general. To do this, we opt for an exploratory approach through a qualitative study, via semi-structured interviews with territorial actors involved in the implementation of the territorial craft project on the city of Fez. Through the analysis of immunoglobulin genes at the IGH, IGK, and IGL loci from four Gorilla gorilla gorilla genome assemblies, IMGT® provides an in-depth overview of these loci and their individual variations in a species closely related to humans. The similarity between gorilla and human IG gene organization allowed the assignment of gorilla IG gene names based on their human counterparts. This study revealed significant findings, including variability in the IGH locus, the presence of known and new copy number variations (CNVs), and the accurate estimation of IGHG genes. The IGK locus displayed remarkable homogeneity and lacked the gene duplication seen in humans, while the IGL locus showed a previously unconfirmed CNV in the J-C cluster. The curated data from these analyses, available on the IMGT website, enhance our understanding of gorilla immunogenetics and provide valuable insights into primate evolution.

Malakoplakia is a granulomatous tissue inflammation with a characteristic histological appearance, mainly affecting the urogenital system and morphologically reflecting a macrophage disease. If bladder involvement is the most common, renal involvement is very rare and may be responsible for a differential diagnosis problem with renal cell carcinoma.We present a clinical case of renal malacoplakia mimicking malignant renal cell carcinoma diagnosed after partial nephrectomy in a 58-year-old woman with no history of recurrent urinary infections.

Paratesticular solitary fibrous tumors are a very rare benign tumor that are usually low-grade neoplasms of pericytes and myofibroblast-like cells. They're slow growing and painless. We report a case of a male patient of 32 years old who came to our medical structure complaining about the appearance of scrotal mass, painful sometimes. Investigations revealed a scrotal mass which was surgically removed. Immunohisochemical study concluded to the presence of a solitary fibrous tumor.

Background and Purpose: Onychomycosis is a very common cosmopolitan onychopathy. It affects the fingers and toes, which are important organs of function and socialization. They can cause physical and psychological discomfort. The aim of this study was to assess the impact of onychomycosis on patients' quality of life.Materials and Methods: This is a prospective, cross-sectional, observational study carried out in the parasitology-mycology laboratory at the Avicenne Military Hospital in Marrakesh, over a 4-month period between June and October 2022, including all patients referred to the laboratory for mycological examination of a nail lesion suspected of onychomycosis of the hands and/or feet. Results: Onychomycosis was confirmed in 50 patients. Pain, nail thickening, and dyschromia were the most commonly reported symptoms (56%). Onychomycosis had an impact on at least one of the socio-economic, emotional, or functional aspects of affected patients' lives. More than half (56%) of participants felt embarrassed by the appearance of their nails; 40% hid them, and 28% had a complex about them. The functional aspect was the most bothersome, and concerned the time spent on nail care (56%), as well as the discomfort reported when wearing shoes (40%). Women were more worried about the need to hide their nails. A duration of onychomycosis evolution of over 5 years was associated with the highest response rate to questionnaires (66%).Conclusion: Although onychomycosis is not a fatal pathology, it significantly reduces the quality of life of affected patients. There is a need to raise the level of awareness of the general population and, above all, of the medical profession to ensure comprehensive management of onychomycosis.

Several theoretical and conceptual frameworks have been developed to guide research that aims to examine the application and use of technology in education. These frameworks facilitate the process of generating knowledge in the evolving field of educational technology. However, research indicates that the study of educational technology is under-theorized. Many studies in educational technology make vague references to theory in conceptualizing research and in collecting and analyzing data. Moreover, the terms theoretical framework, conceptual framework and literature review are often used interchangeably by researchers. The present paper aims to provide a clear understanding of the differences between theory, theoretical and conceptual frameworks in educational technology. The purpose of the current review is not to develop an exhaustive summary encompassing all frameworks. Instead, it highlights existing theory and frameworks that are used to guide and conduct research in educational technology. The definition of educational technology, a brief history and recommendations for future research are also presented.

English language vocabulary development is critical in achieving reasonable proficiency in English language learning. A qualitative approach which involved conducting class observations and semi-structured interviews of three English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers at the university level was undertaken to investigate the instructional strategies they used to facilitate vocabulary development and their rationales for incorporating technology into their instructional practices. The data gathered suggest that they emphasized the importance of the connections and interactions between technology, pedagogy and content in teaching vocabulary. The teachers perceived the interactions between these constructs as promoting effective technology-enhanced teaching practices. The authors discussed the implications of using technology in ESL classrooms and its impact on teaching practices.

The purpose of this paper is to provide a theoretical understanding and empirical examination of the mediating role of destination image in the relationship between event image and tourists' behavioural intentions towards the destination. A conceptual model was developed based on an extensive literature review. The survey was conducted among 514 tourists who attended music festivals in Morocco and structural equation modelling based on the PLS method was used to validate the research model. The results show that the image of the event has a direct and positive impact on the image of the destination, providing empirical support for the theory of image transfer. Destination image is a significant predictor of behavioural intention, and destination image mediates between event image and behavioural intention towards the host city. These results can help destination marketers to make more proactive use of events in destination management. The study developed a distinct model and focused on music festivals, which is new because most of the other studies on the subject have concentrated on a single event, usually a sporting event.

Background and Objectives: Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is the second most common nosocomial infection in pediatric intensive care units. The aim of this study was to evaluate the contribution of multiplex PCR in the diagnosis of VAP and its impact on the clinical and prognostic outcome of children in the ICU. Materials and Methods: This is a prospective observational study from March to November 2021, including bronchial samples collected from 38 intubated children hospitalized in ICU. The detection of respiratory pathogens was performed by the FilmArray® Pneumonia Panel plus (FAPP). Results: Multiplex PCR (mPCR) detected exclusively 46 potentially pathogenic bacteria, giving a sensitivity of 93%, specificity of 90%, negative predictive value of 100%, and positive predictive value of 23%. Overall, the sensitivity of mPCR was higher for Gram-negative bacteria (100%) than Gram-positive (92%). Bacterial etiology was the most frequent (69.3%), represented mainly by Moraxella catarrhalis (11.4%), followed by viral etiology (30.7%), with Rhinovirus/Enterovirus as the most prevalent virus. FAPP enabled a change in antibiotic therapy in 39.5% of the patients, with a 73.3% survival rate. Conclusion: This study highlights the importance of mPCR in diagnosing VAP and improving antimicrobial therapy.

Rupture of the pyelocalyceal cavities or fornix is a rare and potential urological emergency. It is most often secondary to obstructive uropathy. It can lead to extravasation of urine at the perirenal or retro-peritoneal level, which can have serious consequences. The clinic reported the case of a 37-year-old patient who presented to the emergency department with hyperalgesic (right) renal colic. Intense right lumbar tenderness was found on clinical examination, renal function was preserved. The radiological examination, CT scan mainly, revealed a significant ureteralhydronephrosis by urinary meatus calculus measuring 3 mm with a density of 271 HU and a perirenal effusion and extravasation of the PDC at a late time. The emergency therapeutic management consisted of a bypass with a double J stent. The evolution was marked by a clinico-biological improvement.

Emphysematous prostatitis is a rare complication of bacterial prostatitis with a high mortality rate. Due to limited publications on this entity, its management is not standardized. In the reported cases, the treatment consisted of rapid and complete drainage of the abscess, with early antibiotic therapy. We report a case of emphysematous prostatitis in a 76-year-old patient at D17 of a prostatic resection who presented to the emergency room with asthenia and fever. Clinically, he was in sepsis. The isolated germ is an Enterococcus Enterobacter cloacae complex, sensitive to Piperacillin + Tazobactam. The ultimate evolution was favorable.

Renal lymphoma is rarely primary, but its diagnosis is critical because it requires specialized medical treatment. We present the case of a 59-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital for a painful left renal mass revealed by isolated chronic low back pain. A clinical examination revealed left lumbar tenderness. A non-lymphoma Hodgkin's type B was discovered during a renal biopsy. As part of the extension workup, a PET scan was performed, which revealed no secondary location, and the patient underwent chemotherapy. Following the start of chemotherapy, a complete remission was observed, as well as a reduction in the size of the kidney.
