The article is devoted to study of deanery councils in Yaroslavl diocese of Russian Orthodox Church at the beginning of XX-th century. The author reveales the date of establishment of deanery councils (October 19, 1903) and analyzes the "Rules for Deanery Councils in the Yaroslavl Diocese". Special attention is paid to the changes of the regulatory framework of Deanery Councils and Deanery meetings during the period since 1903 to 1916. The article also explores the main directions of activity of Deanery Councils. The Deanery Council was a church governing body created to help the Dean. As a rule, the council consisted of a dean appointed by the diocesan leadership, and two members. The members of the council were elected at deanery meetings. On the scale of the entire Russian Church, Deanery Councils were established by the Local Council of 1917-1918, but in a number of dioceses they were created earlier. The clerical documents of the deanery councils of the Yaroslavl diocese have not been introduced into scientific circulation. Together with the reports of the deans, the journals of the meetings of the Yaroslavl general diocesan congresses of the clergy, materials from periodicals, these documents allow us to characterize the deanery councils as self-governing bodies of the clergy, which played a prominent role in the system of administration of the diocese. At their core, the Deanery Councils were the magistrates' courts for the clergy. They dealt with minor disciplinary offenses of clergy members, as well as civil disputes. The surviving documents make it possible to compose a picture of the most frequent offenses and disputes in the church environment. The documents also allow making a conclusion about dificult relationship between priests and the lower clergy - psalmists and deacons. In 1903-1916 the role of the lower clergy was increased in the activities of deanery councils and meetings. Since 1910 the psalmists and deacons had the voting right at deanery meetings. Archbishop Tikhon (Belavin) agreed at 1912 with the decision of the general diocesan congress of clergy: deacons and psalmists were included to the deanery councils.

Publication in peer-reviewed journals is often seen as a cornerstone of the academic and clinical career within medicine and surgery. As one of the largest circulations in oral and maxillofacial surgery, the British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (BJOMS) offers trainees and consultants the opportunity to disseminate valuable information worldwide. The aim of this paper is to investigate the variation in publication rates of U.K. authors based upon their Deanery in order to identify potential hotspots. All volumes of BJOMS between 2011 and 2019 were hand searched to identify full articles authored by authors in U.K., these were categorised by Deanery and allocated a theme within OMFS. The results demonstrate that, of the 378 full length articles, over 30% of these were from two Deaneries: London and North West (West). Oncology, OMFS training and education, and craniofacial trauma were the three most common themes of publication amounting to 51.5% of total publications. There has been an unfortunate decrease in publications from U.K. Deaneries of almost 30% from 2011 to 2019 which begs the question of whether fewer publications are being accepted or if rates of submission have reduced. The paper addresses the Kamchatka period of the history of Orthodoxy in Yakutia (1856 – 1869) as one of the stages of activity of the Russian Orthodox Church on the edge of the Empire’s borders in the context of the state policy which included the tool for integration of the ethnic group of the region in the all-Russian social and economic structure in the course of intercivilization interaction. The civilization method of research was used. The role and importance of the activities of Archbishop Innokenty (Veniaminov) in changing the structures of the Russian Orthodox Church in Yakutia are defined, which contributed to the emergence of the Church’s administrative autonomy, with the establishment of the Vicariate and the reform of the Spiritual Board, and also the clergy of Yakutia with the opportunities for a number of benefits associated with specific features of living in the Far North: the payment of travel, the increased size of the salary, pension content outer payment etc. It was discovered that during the studied period the Kamchatka Bishop was granted the right to admit representatives of the local population in the clergy, which allowed to further solve the problem of staff shortages, which is topical for the Republic of Yakutia. It is revealed that being a part of the Kamchatka Diocese created the preconditions for the establishment of an independent Yakutsk and Vilyuysk Diocese.

PAINTING collecting , *DWELLINGS - Abstract
This paper proposes a reconstruction of the deanery of St Paul's Cathedral at the time of the death of John Donne (Dean 1621–1631). The reconstruction stems from two documents: Donne's will of 1631, and a survey of the deanery when it was in parliamentary hands in 1649. The will is remarkable because it details bequests of 21 paintings, all but three specified by their location in rooms throughout the deanery. The original number of paintings was larger, as some were to remain. By comparing the will with the survey, it is possible to allocate paintings to specific rooms and in effect walk round the house, at least on its ground floor, in 1631 or 1649. Therefore, we aim to explore whether the EPM is a fair measure in determining the allocation of foundation-training jobs to newly qualified doctors.View the original paper by Singagireson et al

The church going community Węgorzyno, covering an area of five parishes: Węgorzyno Mieszewo, Runowo, Runowo Pomeranian and Sielsko are associated with deanery Łobez. In terms of pastoral, but also the position (these parishes are in the southern part of the deanery) constitute a whole, which is the center of the city Węgorzyno. Over the past 68 years since the end of World War II 31 speakers of here pastors and administrators and 29 vicars of Węgorzyna could well develop religious life. They currently employ 7,571 faithful. Evidenced by the beautiful and well-maintained churches and chapels (there are 24), as well as attendance at Mass. from 25% Mieszewie Węgorzynie and by 30% in Runowo Pomorski and Runowo 35%, even up to 60% in Sielsku. This is much larger than the average in the Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamien. Also, eleven of priestly vocations, including two religious and one for his brother and a religious nun demonstrate the vitality of the parish communities. The Cistercians presence in Winniki since 2005 provides not only spiritual enrichment, but also cultural one.

Background: Experiences and attitudes of clinical trainers of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate medical trainees in secondary care have received limited attention. Anecdotally, clinical teaching is becoming increasingly restricted by clinical service pressures, thereby presenting a risk to the quality of training provision. Methods: To explore the commitment, experience and attitudes of clinical teachers and trainers of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainees, respectively, amongst secondary care providers across a UK Healthcare Workforce Deanery, an invitation to complete a study-specific, on-line survey, comprising predominantly yes/no response and 5-point Likert scale statements with some open questions, was sent to all registered secondary care trainers/supervisors working in the East Midlands Strategic Health Authority. The survey was open between February and June 2012, with two reminders to complete. Responses were anonymised and the frequency of responses to questions was analysed. Data were analysed for the whole study population and for the relationship between frequency of responses and gender. Results: The majority of teachers/trainers considered that they were well prepared and fulfilled their clinical teaching responsibilities. Many reported having restricted time for preparation and delivery and that teaching activities were often completed in their own time. Despite reported poor support and low incentives, many respondents felt valued for their clinical teaching by their Medical Schools and the Deanery, but less so by hospital Trusts. Conclusions: Respondents indicated that some faculty like and enjoy clinical teaching despite lack of allocated time, resources and recognition. The majority indicated that they feel confident and competent in their clinical teaching roles. Insufficient dedicated time due to competing clinical service pressures was reported as the major barrier to clinical teaching provision. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this article the author examines state-church relations in Central Asia in the 1940s - mid 1960s illustrated by the example of the Tashkent Deanery during the period of the development of the Russian Orthodox Church under the patronage of the institute of state commissioners for the Russian Orthodox Church. On the basis of an analysis of unpublished archival sources, the author describes the process of reconstruction of parishes on the territory of the Tashkent and Central Asian dioceses, analyzes the economic and property relations between the state and the church, and the financial activities of the Orthodox parishes of the Tashkent deanery. The author focuses on issues related to the staff of Orthodox priests assigned to parishes, their level of education. The author briefly touches on the problem of Catholics and representatives of the Armenian Gregorian Church, who were not allowed to establish houses of prayer. The article provides statistics of the rituals requested in Tashkent in the context of the Assumption Cathedral and the Alexander Nevsky Church. The author comes to the conclusion that the demand for Orthodox rituals in the churches of Tashkent was associated with the high proportion of the Russian population living in the capital.,

Abstract: The annual scientific meeting of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS) is primarily a national meeting with a minor international contribution (3%). In the 10 years between 2002 and 2011 there were 1639 oral and poster presentations, and there was a significant increase in the total number of presentations (93–313, p <0.001). There have also been substantial increases in the proportion of poster (36–80%, p =0.005) and clinical presentations (88–94%, p =0.02). The 10 most productive units contributed roughly half of all UK presentations, whilst the top 5 deaneries contributed 61%. The trends in output by the most productive units are noted and the total output of units and deaneries within the United Kingdom (UK) is shown on a colour map. The information will be of value to trainees when considering the merits of a training unit and region. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The Deanery of Solnoc the 2
nd became in 1883 the Deanery of Solnoc. This last one Deanery was included in 1907 in the neighbor Deanery of Chioar (Cetatea de Piatra), with all its parishes. The following study presents the situation of each parish of the Solnoc II Deanery (Solnoc since 1883), between 1881 and 1906. The presentation refers to the priests, teachers (in the parishes which had a primary school under the lead of the church, we have the names of the teachers since 1882) and the number of orthodox believers. Talking about the number of souls, we must say we have the numbers for the whole Deanery in each year from 1881 to 1906, and for each parish just from 1900 to 1906. The study makes a picture of the Romanian orthodox life in the 17 parishes of the Solnoc II Deanery. All this parishes belong nowadays to the Deanery of Lăpuş, in the southern part of Maramureş County. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]- Published

The accounts of the episcopal court of Châlons offer a series well preserved over the long term (1430-1530). Their codicological structure is very similar to that known for many medieval accounts. Presenting the receipts and the payments of the court, they enlighten singularly its activity and its role in the government of the local Church ; the court represents a link between the bishop and the rural deans, the priests, the faithful, not only by a judicial activity, but also by the exercise of a gracious jurisdiction and a regular taxation. Verification and validation of accounts are also visible signs of episcopal power and are an occasion to show that officiality is indeed an organ of the government of the diocese.

The function of the dean’s archive is not regulated in the canon law of the Catholic Church. The duties of a dean, who is the bishop’s close associate, require an independent dean’s offi ce. The records produced by Polish synods recognise the necessity of establishing the dean’s archive, which can preserve the records and documentation produced by a dean or collected by him from parishes in accordance with the laws. The regulations of the synods require running the dean’s archive as an institution independent of parish archives, but they do not specify in detail how these records should be preserved and made available, and when the materials ought to be transferred to the central historical archives in the diocese.

In the scientific literature on the St. Petersburg diocese history was mentioned the fact of the existence of the deanery of Estonian parishes, but its history has not yet been studied. Because of increase in the number of Estonians who migrated to St. Petersburg province to earn money in the second half of the 19th century and often left to live here, an Estonian Orthodox parish in St. Petersburg was created in 1894, a priestly vacancy was opened, which was taken by a graduate of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy, a candidate of theology Pavel Kulbush, who built a church of the holy martyr Isidor of Yuryev in the capital in 1907. In 1900, seeing the efforts to build the church and the Kulbush’s activity, the church authorities decided to open the deanery of the Russian-Estonian parishes in order to coordinate their activities and to encourage their growth with the appointment of priest Pavel Kulbush. In 1904 Russian parishes were separated from the deanery. In the second half of 1913 the deanery consisted of eight churches — 6 Estonian, 1 Latvian and 1 Finnish. The article provides data on the clergy in these parishes, the structure of schools and the activities of guardianships, as well as the state of cemeteries. The study showed that the emergence of a talented organizer — priest Pavel Kulbush — opened up prospects for resolving the issue of Estonians nourishing in the Orthodox idea, on which founded monarchist statehood. Over the 17 years of activity Rev. Pavel not only created and put Estonian parishes into a single system, but also laid the foundations for easier Estonians repatriation after the revolution, and before that, facilitated the peaceful coexistence of Russian and Estonian communities. Deanery, life in which by 1905–1907 as a whole had been established, continued to grow and develop. The prospect of its development consisted in the unification of all the Baltic Orthodox of Petersburg province (including Latvian and Finnish outside the territory of Finland) in one church unit. Kulbush also managed to create a network of Estonian parish schools, which made a significant competition to Lutheran schools. On the distant prospects for the development of the deanery of Estonian parishes, the revolutionary events of 1917 put an end to

Danas na području Hrvatskoga zagorja Zagrebačka metropolija ima 71 župu razvrstanih u 9 dekanata koji su uključeni u 3 arhiđakonata u sastavu 3 biskupije., The territorial organization of the Catholic church in the area of Hrvatsko Zagorje can be traced right after the period of Christianization. First, the Sisak Diocese was founded and later the Zagreb Diocese. Parishes were classified into archdeaconries, and after a few centuries archdeaconries were divided into deaneries where ten parishes usually existed. Parishes have changed their boundaries, their seats and their titles over time. New parishes were founded by separating a parish and separating part of the area of one or more parishes. There were also reunifications of deaneries and unifications of archdeaconries. Finally, new dioceses were founded from parts of the Zagreb Diocese. Today, in the area of Hrvatsko Zagorje, the Zagreb Metropoly has 71 parishes, divided into 9 deaneries, included in 3 archdioceses belonging to 3 dioceses.

The diploma thesis deals with a statistical study of two books of protocols in the office of the vicar episcopal in Pelhřimov. They both cover the period from 1750 to 1831. It is focused on the time when Vincenc Josef Rubricius from Nová Cerekev was in the office of the vicar episcopal. In 1790 he became a vicar episcopal and stayed in his office for three decades until the time of his death in 1821. Thanks to his diligence and precision in maintaining the official agenda and the long-term work in the office of the vicar episopal, it was possible to perceive the studied time period as a coherent unit. Such a notation in the book of protocols was an evidence about the official acts. The statistical data about the number of the notations are described in the diploma thesis in 32 chapters, each of them for a particular year. It studies the number in the particular months, weeks as well as days. Due to this, it monitors the number of the official acts, e. g. with the consistory in České Budějovice, the other parish offices belonging to the vicariate, the Regional Authority in Tábor or the deanery in Pelhřimov. Even the visitations in particular parish offices were noted down into the books of protocols. Owing to these notations, it was possible to describe into details how the visitations were carried out during a particular year.

Provedena je usporedba kemijskog sastava procjedne vode prije i nakon uređaja za pročišćivanje s ciljem detektiranja uĉinkovitosti rada uređaja za pročišćavanje procjednih voda odlagališta otpada Jakuševec-Prudinec., Waste landfill Jakuševac - Prudinec is located on the eastern part of city of Zagreb, on aquifer located in Zagreb, which is the basis of Zagreb's water supply. Downstream of the landfill there are two significant areas from water aspect, Velika Gorica wellfield and the future Kosnica wellfield. In the Master's Thesis the chemical composition of leachates were analyzed, which were based on three locations (in the deanery, in the collection pool, and on the location where the purified water enters the river Sava). The data for chemical composition was gathered for the time period from 2006 to 2015 and all of the measured parameters were analyzed. Comparison is made for the chemical composition of water with the water cleanser for the results of before and after usage with a goal to detect the efficiency of the device for cleansing of leachates in Jakuševac - Prudinec landfill.

Background Experiences and attitudes of clinical trainers of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate medical trainees in secondary care have received limited attention. Anecdotally, clinical teaching is becoming increasingly restricted by clinical service pressures, thereby presenting a risk to the quality of training provision. Methods To explore the commitment, experience and attitudes of clinical teachers and trainers of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate trainees, respectively, amongst secondary care providers across a UK Healthcare Workforce Deanery, an invitation to complete a study-specific, on-line survey, comprising predominantly yes/no response and 5-point Likert scale statements with some open questions, was sent to all registered secondary care trainers/supervisors working in the East Midlands Strategic Health Authority. The survey was open between February and June 2012, with two reminders to complete. Responses were anonymised and the frequency of responses to questions was analysed. Data were analysed for the whole study population and for the relationship between frequency of responses and gender. Results The majority of teachers/trainers considered that they were well prepared and fulfilled their clinical teaching responsibilities. Many reported having restricted time for preparation and delivery and that teaching activities were often completed in their own time. Despite reported poor support and low incentives, many respondents felt valued for their clinical teaching by their Medical Schools and the Deanery, but less so by hospital Trusts. Conclusions Respondents indicated that some faculty like and enjoy clinical teaching despite lack of allocated time, resources and recognition. The majority indicated that they feel confident and competent in their clinical teaching roles. Insufficient dedicated time due to competing clinical service pressures was reported as the major barrier to clinical teaching provision.

[toliau žr. visą tekstą] During the four-year Parliament governance, it was decided for administrational division of Vilnius region. However, finally, this region was formed in 1792. Ašmena region was divided along Neris River. Its south part was left for Ašmena region and a new Užneris region of its north part with center in Pastovis was established. This new region belonged to Vilnius government. The later administrational changes were performed in 1839 and they continued up to 1843. This region was expanded and its name was changed into Švenčionys region. The region contained one deanery, which splitted into Švencionys and Svyriai in 1829. The nobles of Užneris region after the third division of the country started proving their origin. The same phenomenon happened in the others regions of the government. The majority of the rich nobles had taken care of the origin evidences before 1830-31. Small nobles could not do that due to lack of resources and documents. Because of the absence of the documents they were eliminated of the noble estate after the revolt. The nobles’ possessions were different in size, benefits and number of rustics. In this region, the biggest part of the average nobles prevailed that reached up to 1000 tithes. While anlysing church metrics, we get to know the information about the way the nobles were inscribed into metrics. It was born 5271 children of nobles over 23 years in the region; 55,2 percent of boys and 44,8 percent of girls. Irregular children were born mostly in... [to full text]

Zakonik ,župa ,dekanat ,pastoralna jedinica, zajedničke pastoralne aktivnosti ,Code ,parish ,deanery ,pastoral unit ,common pastoral activities - Abstract
374, § 2). Osim dekanata Zakonik otvara mogućnost zajedničkog pastoralnog djelovanja na više župa i drugim oblicima kanonskih pastoralnih jedinica: a) više župa povjereno in solidum grupi svećenika (kan, 517, § 1); b) više susjednih župa povjereno istom župniku (kan. Sve veće pomanjkanje svećenika u skrbi za duše, svrsishodna raspodjela osoba, promicanje uspješnijeg i kordiniranijeg zajedničkog pastoralnog djelovanja ukazuju na potrebu promišljanja o mogućim oblicima zajedničkog pastoralnog djelovanja na području više župa tj. o pravno osnovanim pastoralnim jedinicama., In this work, the author investigates the legal-constitutive elements and forms of pastoral units in the light of the prevailing Code of Canon Law. To foster common pastoral care on the territories of large parishes, the Code anticipates the establishment of special groups, such as deaneries (Can. 3 74, § 2). The Code leaves the determination of the most successful model for cooperation among the deaneries to the territorial law. Besides deaneries, the Code opens the possibility for common pastoral activity on multi-parish and other forms of Canonical pastoral units: a) several parishes entrusted to several priests jointly, in solidum (Can. 517, §1); b) a number of neighbouring parishes may be entrusted to one parish priest (Can, 526, §1); c) a number of parishes may be entrusted to a parish vicar in a particular pastoral sector (Can. 545, § 2); d) one or more parish communities entrusted to a deacon or other person who is not a priest or a community of persons, under the supervision of some priest with the power and faculties of a parish priest (Can. 517, § 2). Several neighbouring parishes in which the faithful are united by social, historical and geographical bonds are privileged places of cooperation, not only for reasons of utility but as an expression and profession of the mystery of the Church itself. The increasing shortage of priests for the care of souls, effective distribution of personnel, and the fostering of successful and coordinated common pastoral activity demonstrate the need for thinking about the possible forms of common pastoral activity on the territory of several parishes, i.e. in legally established pastoral units in the light of the Code of Canon Law. Through commentary and comparison of canon legal sources and literature, the author presents: I. Legal-constitutive elements of pastoral units; II. Canon forms of pastoral units.
