The factorizations using the general Riccati solution constructed from a given particular solution by means of the Bernoulli ansatz initiated in 1984 by Mielnik and Fernandez C. for the cases of the quantum harmonic oscillator and the radial Hydrogen equation, respectively, are briefy reviewed. The singular parametric oscillators obtained from the one-parameter Darboux deformation/transformation effected upon the classical harmonic oscillator are introduced and discussed in some detail using sin(omega_0 t) and cos(omega_0 t) as seed solutions. The corresponding Ermakov-Lewis integrability problem of these parametric oscillators is also studied. Structural and tectonic features in the Pacific Coast of Mexico generate a high level of seismic activity in the Jalisco block (JB) region, making it one of the most attractive areas of the world for geophysical investigations. The Rivera North America contact zone has been the object of different tectonic studies in recent years framed within the TsuJal project. To this day, this project is generating numerous crucial geophysical results, which significantly improve our understanding of the region. Our study is focused on the interaction between the south of the JB and Rivera plate (RP), which crosses the Middle America trench. We also cover an offshore onshore transect of 130 km length between the eastern Rivera fracture zone and La Huerta region, in the Jalisco state. To characterize this region,we interpreted wide angle seismic, multichannel seismic, and multibeam bathymetry data. The integration of these results, with the local and regional seismicity recorded by the Jalisco Seismic Accelerometric Telemetric Network and by the Mapping the Rivera Subduction Zone experiment, provides new insights into the geometry of the southern RP, which is dipping 12 14 degrees under the JB in the northeast southwest direction. Warps are observed in a large fraction of disc galaxies, and can be due to a large number of different processes. Some of these processes might also cause vertical heating and flaring. Using a sample of galaxies simulated in their cosmological context, we study the connection between warping and disc heating. We analyse the vertical stellar density structure within warped stellar discs, and monitor the evolution of the scale-heights of the mono-age populations and the geometrical thin and thick disc during the warp's lifetime. We also compare the overall thickness and the vertical velocity dispersion in the disc before and after the warp. We find that for warps made of pre-existing stellar particles shifted off-plane, the scale-heights do not change within the disc's warped region: discs tilt rigidly. For warps made of off-plane new stellar material (either born in-situ or accreted), the warped region of the disc is not well described by a double $\mathrm{sech^2}$ density profile. Yet, once the warp is gone, the thin and thick disc structure is recovered, with their scale-heights following the same trends as in the region that was never warped. Finally, we find that the overall thickness and vertical velocity dispersion do not increase during a warp, regardless of the warp's origin. This holds even for warps triggered by interactions with satellites, which cause disc heating but before the warp forms. We use the Holder regularity analysis to study the symmetry breaking and recovery due to a parametric potential generated via the strictly isospectral factorization method. The initial potential is two-dimensional and periodic in the two Cartesian directions, with the symmetry group $P_{4mm}$. The resulting parametric isospectral potential display a P_m symmetry for values of the parameter moderately close to the singular value gamma_s. However, at large values of the parameter, visually around gamma=gamma_s+110, the original symmetry is recovered. For a much higher precision value of the parameter for this symmetry recovery, we show that the multifractal spectrum of the parametric potential can be conveniently used. This paper addresses the problem of approximating the set of all solutions for Multi-objective Markov Decision Processes. We show that in the vast majority of interesting cases, the number of solutions is exponential or even infinite. In order to overcome this difficulty we propose to approximate the set of all solutions by means of a limited precision approach based on White's multi-objective value-iteration dynamic programming algorithm. We prove that the number of calculated solutions is tractable and show experimentally that the solutions obtained are a good approximation of the true Pareto front.

In this paper we prove that rank metric codes with special properties imply the existence of $q$-analogs of suitable designs. More precisely, we show that the minimum weight vectors of a $[2d,d,d]$ dually almost MRD code $C\leq \mathbb{F}_{q^m}^n$ which has no code words of rank weight $d+1$ form a $q$-analog Steiner system $S_q(d-1,d,2d)$. In particular, $d+1$ must be a prime.

A new scenario for energy distribution, security and shareability is presented that assumes the availability of quantum information heat engines and a thermal bath. It is based on the convertibility between entropy and work in the presence of a thermal reservoir. Our approach to the informational content of physical systems that are distributed between users is complementary to the conventional perspective of quantum communication. The latter places the value on the unpredictable content of the transmitted quantum states, while our interest focuses on their certainty. Some well-known results in quantum communication are reused in this context. Particularly, we describe a way to securely distribute quantum states to be used for unlocking energy from thermal sources. We also consider some multi-partite entangled and classically correlated states for a collaborative multi-user sharing of work extraction possibilities. The present work reports the study of the optimized processing conditions of Bi0.9La0.1Fe0.9Mn0.1O3 thin films, grown by RF sputtering on platinum metalized silicon substrates. The combination of deposition at relatively low substrate temperature followed by adequate ex situ annealing leads to thin films with smooth surface morphology and the formation of a high-quality monophasic layer, with the (100)c preferable orientation. The annealed films show ferroelectric imprint.

We present an original undergraduate level compilation for the physics of electromechanical systems with special attention to power flow. An approach based on energy considerations is presented that is specially suited to compute the mechanical and electrical actions of electromagnetic fields and to draw power flowcharts that clarify the path taken by energy in typical devices. Epitaxial La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 (LSMO) thin films, with different thickness ranging from 20 nm up to 330 nm, were deposited on (100)-oriented strontium titanate (STO) substrates by pulsed laser deposition, and their structure and morphology characterized at room temperature. Magnetic and electric transport properties of the as-processed thin films reveal an abnormal behavior in the temperature dependent magnetization M(T) below the antiferrodistortive STO phase transition (TSTO) and also an anomaly in the magnetoresistance and electrical resistivity close to the same temperature. Up to 100 nm LSMO thin films, an in-excess magnetization and pronounced changes in the coercivity are evidenced, achieved through the interface-mediated magnetoelastic coupling with antiferrodistortive domain wall movement occurring below TSTO. Contrarily, for thicker LSMO thin films, above 100 nm, an in-defect magnetization is observed. This reversed behavior can be understood within the emergence in the upper layer of the film, observed by high resolution transmission electron microscopy, of a branched structure needed to relax elastic energy stored in the film which leads to randomly oriented magnetic domain reconstructions. For enough high-applied magnetic fields, as thermodynamic equilibrium is reached, a fully suppression of the anomalous magnetization occurs, wherein the temperature dependence of the magnetization starts to follow the expected Brillouin behavior., Comment: 15 pages, 9 figures

In this work, we analysed GdMnO3 magnetoelectric thin films prepared by a general sol-gel method. The film formation temperature is analysed by termogravimetric analysis, while the lattice parameters of the Pbnm orthorhombic films are determined from the analysis of the x-ray spectra. The x-ray results also reveal that GdMnO3 films are under compression along the b axis. The lattice dynamic analysis carried out by Raman spectroscopy confirms the formation of films with a Pbnm orthorhombic structure. Moreover, the analysis of the Raman spectra suggests that besides film-substrate interaction, texture and grain size influence can alters lattice dynamics relative to bulk ones. Magnetic measurements shows that the films response is different of the observed in ceramic and single crystal; mainly, in the shape and temperature where the transitions taking place. The magnetic study also reveals that GdMnO3 films are paramagnetic above 80 K, showing a ferromagnetic response at low temperatures (T=<15 K). The dielectric analysis carried out in the 850C annealed films shows the formation of a relaxation process at low temperature, which is associated with a polaronic process. Moreover, it is also observed a small anomaly at T~27 K that might be related with the magnetic transition taking place in this temperature range.

We prove that the only primes which may divide the order of the automorphism group of a putative binary self-dual doubly-even [120, 60, 24] code are 2, 3, 5, 7, 19, 23 and 29. Furthermore we prove that automorphisms of prime order $p \geq 5$ have a unique cycle structure.
