Condensed Matter - Statistical Mechanics - Abstract
We perform short-time Monte Carlo simulations to study the criticality of the isotropic two-state majority-vote model on cubic lattices of volume $N = L^3$, with $L$ up to $2048$. We obtain the precise location of the critical point by examining the scaling properties of a new auxiliary function $\Psi$. We perform finite-time scaling analysis to accurately calculate the whole set of critical exponents, including the dynamical critical exponent $z=2.027(9)$, and the initial slip exponent $\theta = 0.1081(1)$. Our results indicate that the majority-vote model in three dimensions belongs to the same universality class of the three-dimensional Ising model.

Astrophysics - Instrumentation and Methods for Astrophysics - Abstract
This paper describes the system architecture of a newly constructed radio telescope - the Boolardy Engineering Test Array, which is a prototype of the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder telescope. Phased array feed technology is used to form multiple simultaneous beams per antenna, providing astronomers with unprecedented survey speed. The test array described here is a 6-antenna interferometer, fitted with prototype signal processing hardware capable of forming at least 9 dual-polarisation beams simultaneously, allowing several square degrees to be imaged in a single pointed observation. The main purpose of the test array is to develop beamforming and wide-field calibration methods for use with the full telescope, but it will also be capable of limited early science demonstrations., Comment: 17 pages, 12 figures, accepted for publication in PASA

Quantum Physics - Abstract
We study the dynamical entanglement distribution in a multipartite system. The initial state is a maximally entangled two level atom with a single photon field. Next a sequence of atoms are sent, one at the time, and interact with the field. We show that the which way information initially stored only in the field is now distributed among the parties of the global system. We obtain the corresponding complementarity relations in analytical form. We show that this dynamics may lead to a quantum eraser phenomenon provided that measurements of the probe atoms are performed in a basis which maximizes the visibility. The process may be realized in microwave cavities with present technology.

- Abstract
This paper reports two implementations of power-over-fiber (PoF) solutions applied to radio-over-fiber (RoF) and optical wireless communication (OWC) systems, in the context of an industrial environment. We employ a conventional 62.5-µm multimode fiber (MMF) to deliver optical power to different communication links based on RoF, free-space optics (FSO), and visible light communication (VLC) technologies aiming beyond 5G (B5G) and 6G applications. First, a 3.5-GHz 5G New Radio (5G NR) signal is transmitted throughout a 20-km single-mode optical fiber (SMF) link using RoF technology. Regarding the PoF system, a 5-W optical power is transmitted through a 100-m MMF link. A photovoltaic power converter (PPC) and a DC/DC converter are employed to convert the power from the optical to the electrical domain and adjust the voltage level, respectively, with the purpose of energizing a remote RoF module. The attainable optical and electrical power transmission efficiencies (OPTE and PTE) are 80% and 19%, respectively. Posterior, a second PoF system is implemented to power a hybrid RoF/FSO/VLC B5G system, comprising a 200-m MMF and an additional DC/DC converter. Over 10.5 W of optical power is transmitted to feed an electrical amplifier (EA) and a white LED from the VLC link. In this configuration, we achieve 78% and 18.5% of OPTE and PTE, respectively. Furthermore, a performance investigation based on the root mean square error vector magnitude (
${{\rm EVM}_{{\rm RMS}}}$ ) metric is conducted to evaluate the signal using the implemented PoF systems and a conventional electrical power supply. In the first implementation, a throughput of 600 Mbps is achieved with 100-MHz bandwidth without performance degradation, when compared to the conventional-powered RoF system, whereas, in the second implementation, 60-Mbps throughput is achieved when employing the FSO and VLC technologies simultaneously, demonstrating the applicability and potential of the PoF technique for B5G and 6G industrial communications.- Published

Nanoparticles, particularly those derived from natural sources, hold immense potential in overcoming biological barriers to enhance therapeutic efficacy and diagnostic accuracy. Papain, a natural plant protease derived from Carica papaya, emerges as a promising candidate for green nanotechnology-based applications due to its diverse medicinal properties, including anticancer properties.Purpose: This study presents a novel approach in nanomedicine and oncology, exploring the potential of green nanotechnology by developing and evaluating technetium-99m radiolabeled papain nanoparticles (99mTc-P-NPs) for imaging breast tumors. The study aimed to investigate the efficacy and specificity of these nanoparticles in breast cancer models through preclinical in vitro and in vivo assessments. Methods: Papain nanoparticles (P-NPs) were synthesized using a radiation-driven method and underwent thorough characterization, including size, surface morphology, surface charge, and cytotoxicity assessment. Subsequently, P-NPs were radiolabeled with technetium-99m (99mTc), and in vitro and in vivo studies were conducted to evaluate cellular uptake at tumor sites, along with biodistribution, SPECT/CT imaging, autoradiography, and immunohistochemistry assays, using breast cancer models. Results: The synthesized P-NPs exhibited a size mean diameter of 9.3 ± 1.9 nm and a spherical shape. The in vitro cytotoxic activity of native papain and P-NPs showed low cytotoxicity in HUVEC, MDA-MB231, and 4T1 cells. The achieved radiochemical yield was 94.2 ± 3.1% that were sufficiently stable (≥ 90%) for 6 h. The tumor uptake achieved in the 4T1 model was 2.49 ± 0.32% IA/g at 2 h and 1.51 ± 0.20% IA/g at 6 h. In the spontaneous breast cancer model, 1.19 ± 0.20% IA/g at 2 h and 0.86 ± 0.31% IA/g at 6 h. SPECT/CT imaging has shown substantial tumor uptake of the new nanoradiopharmaceutical and clear tumor visualization. 99mTc-P-NPs exhibited a high affinity to tumoral cells confirmed by ex vivo autoradiography and immunohistochemistry assays. Conclusion: The findings underscore the potential of green nanotechnology-driven papain nanoparticles as promising agents for molecular imaging of breast and other tumors through SPECT/CT imaging. The results represent a substantial step forward in the application of papain nanoparticles as carriers of diagnostic and therapeutic radionuclides to deliver diagnostic/therapeutic payloads site-specifically to tumor sites for the development of a new generation of nanoradiopharmaceuticals. - Abstract
Despite notable scientific and medical advances, broader political, socioeconomic and behavioural factors continue to undercut the response to the COVID-19 pandemic1,2. Here we convened, as part of this Delphi study, a diverse, multidisciplinary panel of 386 academic, health, non-governmental organization, government and other experts in COVID-19 response from 112 countries and territories to recommend specific actions to end this persistent global threat to public health. The panel developed a set of 41 consensus statements and 57 recommendations to governments, health systems, industry and other key stakeholders across six domains: communication; health systems; vaccination; prevention; treatment and care; and inequities. In the wake of nearly three years of fragmented global and national responses, it is instructive to note that three of the highest-ranked recommendations call for the adoption of whole-of-society and whole-of-government approaches1, while maintaining proven prevention measures using a vaccines-plus approach2 that employs a range of public health and financial support measures to complement vaccination. Other recommendations with at least 99% combined agreement advise governments and other stakeholders to improve communication, rebuild public trust and engage communities3 in the management of pandemic responses. The findings of the study, which have been further endorsed by 184 organizations globally, include points of unanimous agreement, as well as six recommendations with >5% disagreement, that provide health and social policy actions to address inadequacies in the pandemic response and help to bring this public health threat to an end.

- Abstract
Social role theory posits that binary gender gaps in agency and communion should be larger in less egalitarian countries, reflecting these countries’ more pronounced sex-based power divisions. Conversely, evolutionary and self-construal theorists suggest that gender gaps in agency and communion should be larger in more egalitarian countries, reflecting the greater autonomy support and flexible self-construction processes present in these countries. Using data from 62 countries (N = 28,640), we examine binary gender gaps in agentic and communal self-views as a function of country-level objective gender equality (the Global Gender Gap Index) and subjective distributions of social power (the Power Distance Index). Findings show that in more egalitarian countries, gender gaps in agency are smaller and gender gaps in communality are larger. These patterns are driven primarily by cross-country differences in men’s self-views and by the Power Distance Index (PDI) more robustly than the Global Gender Gap Index (GGGI). We consider possible causes and implications of these findings.

- Abstract
Obstetric Violence (OV) refers to several types of violence and damage committed by health professionals in perinatal care. This work aimed to analyze the main forms of obstetric violence suffered by women in Latin America. This is an integrative review, carried out in November 2019, at the Virtual Health Library (VHL) in the MEDLINE, LILACS, and Index Psi. Periodicals databases; research was still carried out at SciELO. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 17 articles were selected. It was found that OV presents itself as a violence that is both gender and institutional. And it occurs in different ways, being 6 categories observed. In this violence there is the objectification of the woman’s body and the impossibility of manifesting her autonomy. OV is still little discussed and recognize as such, both by victims and by those who practice it.
