Abstract

This article discusses the use of application-based remote patient monitoring (RPM) for infants with single ventricle heart disease (SVHD) after Norwood palliation. The study included 20 patients who participated in an interstage home-monitoring (IHM) program, where caregivers entered and sent monitoring data daily via a mobile phone application. The results showed that RPM was feasible and accepted by caregivers, with a high level of patient adherence. The study also found that RPM had the potential to improve outcomes, enhance patient safety, and reduce the burden on families. [Extracted from the article]
